Apple Driving School is a specialized driving institution in Nottingham, led by Rob, an automatic driving instructor dedicated to supporting neurodiverse learners and individuals with special needs. The school excels in creating a patient and creative learning environment for pupils facing learning difficulties, anxiety, or elderly drivers seeking to regain independence. Rob’s expertise is recognized on the specialist Disability Driving Instructors website, ensuring a high standard of care and instruction.

The core curriculum is built around a flexible 5-stage syllabus designed for automatic and electric car lessons, tailored to individual learning speeds and needs. The course goes beyond basic competency, preparing students for real-world conditions through advanced modules that include night driving, city navigation, multi-storey car parks, and extensive experience on dual carriageways and motorways. Students also engage in comprehensive preparation, including at least two mock tests to build confidence before their official driving test.

Apple Driving School also offers an extensive Pass Plus course for newly qualified drivers and provides bespoke post-test support to ensure long-term safe driving habits. While focusing exclusively on automatic transmissions, the school can recommend manual driving schools for those who require them. The service area primarily covers Nottingham postcodes NG9, NG10, and parts of NG8 and DE72, including areas such as Stapleford, Beeston, Toton, Chilwell, Long Eaton, Sawley, Wollaton, and Strelley. For those outside these zones, flexible meeting points are available upon request.

Fantastic experience: I could not recommend Rob enough, whether it’s your first time driving or if you need refresher lessons. They were always patient, calm and supportive the entire time. Well planned lessons and routes, and you really get value for your money. I’ve had multiple driving instructor but Rob is the best I’ve ever had and I promise you will not regret choosing them.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic Driving Instructor, Encouraging & supportive of individual needs and goes out of his way to ensure he explains things in a way you understand. Having Dyslexia and adhd I have found learning to drive a challenge and never thought I would be able to pass. With Robs help I have now passed my driving test! And I can't thank him enough, would highly recommend for anyone struggling with the challenges that come with learning difficulties and learning to drive.
