Fantastic experience: I had a good experience learning to drive with Julian. He is calm, patient and will go over things as much as you need. He's got a good knowledge of London and also surrounding areas as we had to travel out to Watford for the actual test. I felt fully prepared.

Fantastic experience: Julian did a great job preparing me for the practical test which I passed first try. He is patient and friendly and very thorough in going through what I wanted to learn. He has good knowledge of many areas of London and prepares you thoroughly no matter which test center you go to.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience learning with Julian. Having originally passed my test 10 years ago and having not driven since, I took about 12 hours of refresher lessons with him and we did Pass Plus too. He was always calm, friendly and full of helpful tips to improve my confidence when driving. Communication was also great throughout. He built up steadily from driving around backstreets near where I live all the way to driving to an airport and back in the evening.

Fantastic experience: I started doing lessons with Julian last year October on and off and towards my test I was seeing him a lot more frequent which got me to pass my test. Fantastic experience: Prior to having any driving lessons I had herd horror stories of terrible instructors and was hesitant in booking lessons myself. After reading reviews online I opted for Axis Driving School. I had Julian as my instructor and started lessons in late may. I found that he was very accommodating. I had no experience driving a car yet he started up on nice quiet roads close to my area. As he saw I was getting the hang of it fast we moved on from that area reasonably quickly and then helped me develop my skills on faster roads and larger roundabouts around my test area (Mill Hill). His knowledge of both the test route and test itself helped alot and despite having a month and a half away from the wheel in August/September I was happily able to pass first time with just three minors in early November. Fantastic experience: Was really nervous to start driving lessons as I'm over 60 but Julian was quick to put me at my ease and taught me everything I needed to pass. He is a very patient and supportive instructor and explains everything very clearly, as well as being really friendly and easy to to talk to. After the first session I looked forward to my lessons with Julian. He makes the manoeuvres which I was particularly worried about seem really easy and he made sure I was familiar with the test routes I needed. I can't recommend him highly enough. He's a great instructor and a top bloke.

Fantastic experience: Julian has been a great instructor - I passed first time! We did lots of different roads and 3 mock tests before my actual test, was receptive to my suggestions on what i wanted to go over more e.g. roundabouts and merging, and I felt by the time I took my test that I would pass. Looking forward to doing some motorway driving lessons now as well!

Fantastic experience: Julian is an amazing instructor. I let him know upfront what timeline I wanted to work to, and he helped me pass my test in around 2 months (I did a mix of weekly lessons and an intense schedule the week of my test). Julian is patient and great at explaining manoeuvres, particularly anything that revolves reversing which is tricky for many to easily understand. He is friendly, patient and I also thoroughly enjoyed my lessons. 10/10 would recommend Julian!

Negative experience: That Julian instructor is terrible. Doesn’t answer messages. I’m still waiting for lessons I booked a year ago. It’s ridiculous and to be honest he does not actually give you the chance to drive and is very controlling. Waste of money and would not be going there ever again.

Fantastic experience: Julian was calm and patient during lessons and helped me pass the driving test by pointing out mistakes. We did multiple lessons in London and also outside London in St Albans as my test was booked in St Albans.

Fantastic experience: Recently passed my test first time (Dec 2022). Julian was my instructor and provided a friendly, calm, safe environment for me to learn and gain confidence. Fantastic experience: I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Julian!! He was incredibly patient, calm and organised. He showed me how to become a good driver & finally after failing a few times (with previous instructors) I finally passed with him. I get extremely anxious when doing my actual tests so the last time I actually took Julian on the test with me and I passed with only 6 minors. Being able to drive has changed my life and it’s something I’ve wanted for such a long time. Thank you so much Julian.

Negative experience: Having spent over 40 hours of driving lessons and not being confident with my driving ability I would not recommend Julian and his teaching. He is very inattentive and spends lesson time on his phone and fails to provide active instructions to build on mistakes and improve driving techniques. He is rude and unprofessional and does not care about his students passing their test. He also tried to make me travel for lessons despite the initial arrangement being to meet at my address. Julian failed to communicate the increase in price and tried to overcharge me despite finishing the 2 hour lesson early. Julian also spent lesson time going through McDonalds drive thru and also spending time in the service station on his own personal activity after topping up the petrol during lesson time. When I confronted him about the loss of lesson time and him trying to overcharge me he put the card machine in front of me and tried to force payment and responded in an irritate manner saying “it is not all about you”. He is a very unreliable driving instructor and abandoned me on the day before my test as he did not like being confronted as he tried to overcharge me for lessons. I would not recommend Julian for anyone looking to pass their test and learn with a respectful and competent instructor.

Fantastic experience: Julian is a great instructor and thanks to him I have just passed my test at the 2nd attempt. Julian is extremely calm and patient and does a great job of putting you at ease as a learner - we started driving from the first lesson, but started in quiet areas before moving to busier/more complex roads etc. Some reviews seem to mention lateness etc. but I never had that experience - Julian was always quick to respond via text, and on the couple of occasions he was running 10/15 mins late due to traffic he always let me know in advance. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Julian was an ideal instructor for a USA expat. I needed 10-15hours of practice and passed the test with 2 minors. He is easily reachable via text and agreed a sensible driving lesson schedule with me upfront. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test today (24/9/2022) and I can swear that Julian is the best driving instructor. This man help me, my mum and my brother pass our driving exam. I also have to give credit to my mum for helping me but the way Julian breaks down the way of driving cars and approaching new roads is best. Fantastic experience: I passed on my second try at the test. After the first time he helped me book a retest, and went over the points that I was weak with on my first test. I’m quite a confident driver now, and I can’t ask for much more. He’s very helpful and answered any questions I had.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Julian as an instructor. I have been doing lessons with Julian for about 4-5 months. Started off local on quiet residential roads to get a feel for the car. As I gained more confidence we progressed to more complex routes and varied speed limits. Julian’s knowledge of routes near the test centre (Barnet) left me more than prepared for actual test. I was a bit worried when Julian told me he would be away for a month, but we planned out an intensive run of lessons between his return and my test date. Had a mock test in one of the last sessions so I knew what to expect. My mock test assessment was almost identical to the actual test. Passed first time 01/09/22. Thank you!!

Fantastic experience: I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO DO LESSONS!! Julian is a great instructor and helped me pass first time. During lessons he is always on time and has a calm and friendly approach to teaching learners. Every lesson I had with him was very useful in terms of learning new things and having great conversations whilst driving. He also is very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience and teaches you tricks and tips for the driving test and driving in general.

Fantastic experience: I'd really recommend Julian as an instructor. I started off as a fairly nervous driver, and within a few months I passed the test with only a couple of minors. I always felt at ease when learning, as we started on quiet residential roads and then progressed onto trickier roads when I was comfortable. Julian's knowledge of the test centre area (Hendon) was excellent, meaning that I could practise all of the difficult roads in the area. During our last few lessons we did some mock tests to pinpoint any weaknesses which we then fixed in the following lessons, and overall I now feel like a confident and capable driver who could drive anywhere. Julian was also communicative and accommodating in terms of scheduling lessons, and I enjoyed the many hours spent learning with him. Would highly recommend Julian to others!

I gave him a short notice and he was kindly happy to help me take my test at st Albans. He taught be so much and was very patient. My mum recommended him to me after she passed with him 15 years ago. Fantastic experience: My driving instructor Julian has been teaching me since the virus . He is the most kind,thoughtful,patience and professional instructor. I would have never pass my test if he didn't put faith and confidence into me. I attempted to do driving lessons in my early 20,and many instructor's told me to drive a automatic car only. Today I pass my test in a manual car,which just proved that I don't need a automatic car. I do not hesitate recommending him at all.

Fantastic experience: Hi, my driving story starts at the time of Covid I find a driving school in my area and arranged an appointment with Julian where I had a proper introduction and arrangements. All the bookings I managed online. For the first time, I start driving around blocks till I start believing myself and after you are free to drive in the area where will be your exam. After many hours of driving, I pass my automatic car driving test for the first time and in few months after manual car driving test. I can recommend Julius like a friend who does all necessary so you can pass your driving test. Good luck to all of you.

Negative experience: Horrible experience. The instructor Julian was unreliable and time waster, he would come to lessons 20mins late and would cut the lessons 20mins early due to his lateness. He would also lie, once I waited for him 30mins and when texted me saying he was outside my house and I came out he was not there. I texted him and  he said I had to go I'm not feeling well. And never once he apologised for his lateness or cancellation.He would use my lessons to run errands for himself.  I had a test booked for Nov and I was supposed to have lessons with him in Sep, but he didn't text me and I have no idea where he disappeared to. I had to cancel my test which I booked in May. After all that wait to have my test due to this pandemic he made it even more difficult for me to get my license. I really hope that no one goes through what I went through please save your money and time and find a different instructor.

Negative experience: The driver instructor Julian is very unprofessional with poor time management. Completed about 17hrs of lessons and still not confident considering I spent over £500. Absolutely not happy.

Negative experience: Julian was an extremely rude and unreliable driving instructor. Over the course of three lessons he rescheduled twice, arrived late, finished the lesson early and overcharged me. He never apologised for the inconvenience and told me he would continue to reschedule and be late for as long as we had lessons. When I raised this issue with him, he told me he wasn't a 'helicopter service'

Fantastic experience: Passed my test 21/09/2021 Julian was my instructor for the past few months and I have no complaints here. Always on time and lessons were straightforward, simple and instructive. You need a patient and non-judgemental instructor, so julian is your best bet.

Fantastic experience: Just passed my driving exam this week and I'm beyond happy for having this off my to do list. I actually enjoyed this experience and worked with Julian for almost an entire year, as COVID put a halt to things half-way through. Julian was great at offering flexible timings and also managed to handle exam bookings even at short notice. He's beyond patient as a teacher, good chats all around and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend to people new to driving or those who are new to driving in the UK. Thanks for all your hard work Julian and all the best!

Fantastic experience: Julian is a great driving instructor. He was friendly and patient and good at identifying what I need to work on. He was also quite flexible to schedule lessons at times that worked for me. Julian helped me book a road test within a reasonable time frame, avoiding a long wait due to lockdown. I started lessons in late July and passed the road test in early October (on a second attempt).

Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test, first attempt at the Watford test centre with the help of Julian. I highly recommend Julian as he is very calm, patient and explains things clearly. I am in my thirties and struggled with driving when I was 17 years old. I had a very angry, shouty driving instructor who had put me off driving for nearly 20 years! Julian helped me to regain my confidence and encouraged me to book my driving test even when I doubted my own abilities. I started my lessons at the end of July 2020 at just 2 lessons per week and passed in September 2020. If you started driving later in life, I'd advise you to go for it! It's never too late to learn and definitely give Julian a call!

Positive experience: I am an experienced driver, who has been driving in several countries in the EU except in the UK. Unfortunately, according to the law, I was not able to drive with my driving license here in the UK until I passed the driving test. Firstly, I was afraid of driving on the left side, and had a lots of bad habits regarding my driving style(the way of steering the wheel, parking, etc.). Julian helped me building my confidence, and I managed to get rid of at least a couple of bad habits during the driving lessons. E.g, now I know, how to do reverse parking properly using ref points :) I wanted to take the test asap, so approx whithin 3 weeks from the first lesson Julian booked it, and I passed it successfully:) Good job
