Fantastic experience: I had an amazing time with Steve. He accommodated lessons after work at cheaper price than other driving schools, even when i was struggling to find an instructor. Today i passed my test first time with 2 minors. Steve guided me very well throughout, teaching fundamentals, then having lessons at home in my own car and also mock tests, as well as full overview of the driving test. Fantastic experience: Driving for me I found very daunting and scared the hell out of me but Steve was very patient with me and eased me into it. Steve is very reliable,firm and to the point. I found him to be very calming too which helped put me at ease. I did 25hrs worth of lessons with Steve as well as private lessons in my own car and it paid off,I passed my practical this morning. Fantastic experience: After being fobbed off by two different companies regarding intensives I got in touch with Steve with a view to booking one with him. He was completely candid that he could take my money and do the intensive but couldn't guarantee a test due to the COVID backlog and talked me through an alternative method to get my license as quick as possible with a career change on the line. Ended up booking a test myself and Steve put all the effort i could have asked for into getting me test ready in a relatively short timeframe. It all paid off with a first time pass. He is a genuine, candid and down to earth gent and exceptionally knowledgeable with outstanding communication and teaching skills. You really couldn't do better for the money. Thanks again Steve!

Steve was able to help me adjust to a new car and he soon started taking me to Poole. Negative experience: I can honestly say this was the worst Experience. please just save your money and go els where . Basically a scam and a massive waste of time . Out of all the driving schools this is defiantly at the bottom and I’m so confused how he even has 4.4 stars .

Fantastic experience: My name is James West ,and I have to say Edwards driving school was amazing, I had Steve who was great with me, I live close to Bournemouth hospital and now that the driving centre is in Poole it is best to go for a 3 hour lesson as you get more time up around there. Also with Steve I passed my driving test first try and felt really confident throughout my lessons and test. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Super, Strict, Brilliant, Patient! Those are the words that I think of that would represent Steve as my driving instructor. He is quite strict and straightforward during the lessons. He would tell you what you have done wrong and praise/encourage you on what you have done right , no sugarcoating...and that’s how he gets yourself as close as to the real driving test experience. (Dads out there, if you want to invest your money for your teenager child for a real driving lessons, Steve is the right guy to choose as instructor) He would patiently repeat the specific tests like reverse park, parallel park(my weakest part) or emergency stop, etc, even though you think that you have mastered it. For him, practice makes perfect. So honestly, he is a great, strict, but yet friendly teacher/instructor. Worth every penny i invested on him. He would drive u to success,definitely. Thanks Steve!

Some cars Ive driven are not as friendly. Also great tips on how to pull of bay parks, parallel parks etc. I would recommend to anyone looking to learn or gain more experience. Fantastic experience: Steve is a really good driving instructor! Really patient and understanding. He allowed me to pass both tests first time, with 49/50 on the theory and only 3 minors on the practical. Overall I would really recommend him as a driving instructor as he made lessons really enjoyable and as stress free as possible!

Positive experience: Steve is a knowledgeable driving instructor with a good sense of humour- he is always on time and is always happy to give you advice and help you in the best way he can which was a plus for me- i did an intensive course over the course of about 4 months which i thought was very reasonably priced and i passed my test first time! I would recommend to anyone looking to pass as a safe and confident driver in a relatively short amount of time. The only thing i will say is that the car was changed midway through my course which knocked my confidence a bit, but it was nothing irreplaceable as i had my own car to practice in by then. I am sure this was a rare occasion, i can;t imagine the vehicle changes very often. All in all, very good if you're looking to pass in a reasonable time frame and with enough knowledge to be a safe and sensible driver. Many thanks Steve, i am very much enjoying my Ford KA!

Fantastic experience: I completed a driving course with Steve followed by a Pass Plus to reduce my insurance price. I was very pleased with the service and lessons. I felt very nervous at the start and driving didn’t come naturally to me, but Steve was very patient and was an excellent teacher. I always looked forward to my lessons twice a week and I was delighted when I passed first time. The Pass Plus was also great because it helped me to prepare for longer drives on the Motorways. I would recommend Steve because he is punctual and polite. He gave me advise and tips to help me prepare for my Theory test right at the very start of my course and also gave me tips for driving longer distances during my Pass Plus at the end. Brilliant service and I can’t thank him enough.

Fantastic experience: Steve was a great driving instructor. He was very patient, had a great teaching style and made sure I felt 100% confident for my test. He got me to pass (having not driven for 5 years) I’m roughly 20 hours over a few days. I passed with only 3 minors! Steve does great mock tests that really prepare you and has lots of tips and tricks on the manoeuvres. I really enjoyed Steve’s company and we had a great couple of days in the car together. Fantastic experience: After searching for a few intense courses Steve was the best that fitted my needs. After not driving for over 4 years from my last lessons I was nervous and rusty, Steve was patient and understood. Prior to booking I had read the other reviews and stubbled across some negative reviews which I won't lie worried me but after doing my first lesson I knew none of this was true. Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing driving instructor, Super friendly easy to get along with. I called up on Thursday need some brushing up and to retake my test as i had my licence revoked managed to fit me in for 2 hours saturday and 2 hours monday when no one else could on short notice then went in for my test the same day and i passed super happy would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Hi Everyone, I’ve read through the reviews and am appalled. I am a very happy customer, Steve’s service is supreme and of the highest order, in fact I couldn’t recommend him more. Steve is one of the calmest people I had ever met and made me feel very relaxed at the wheel even through the first time I drove. Steve and I managed a first time pass with only 2 minors and using his intensive course with a test he booked for me. For those suggesting Steve is in the business for only money I can say this is untrue as Steve is one of the best value for money instructors you’ll find, additionally I’d frequently forget my wallet due to the nature of the early lessons and Steve would offer to pay for my food every time. Thank you so much Steve ! Safe driving everyone

Negative experience: Lessons were cut short by 15 minutes minimum every time. I booked a block of 20 hours of lesson so I missed out on over 2 hours of driving! Would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: I recently finished my intensive course with Edwards driving, and enjoyed my experience. I passed both my theory and driving test first time round, and have since done my pass plus. I did enjoy my experience with the intensive course, and found it met my needs perfectly, working around schedules etc. I would definitely recommend this way of learning to drive to any one who wishes too, as well as Edwards to my friends - my brother is also doing so as well. Once again, thank you Steve!

Fantastic experience: I would like to respond to four of these reviews which are very unfair and untrue. 1) Danny Corteville: Danny booked me for only one half day session. He then told me he had a test booked in 10 days on from this session. I was only able to do another two sessions. Intensive courses need to be booked well in advance. 2) Natasha Charlton: Natasha booked a full course but she was still 16 and waiting for her licence when I arrived on day one. Due to attention spans, Natasha did ask for me to take her home early on some lessons, which I did as requested. I cancelled the course and refunded by cheque. I have never bounced a cheque. Natasha tried to pay the refund cheque into her mothers account, it was therefore returned. 3) Thaddias: This review is a fantasy and very dishonest. Thaddias could be a difficult pupil; but anyone that knows me knows I don't swear, nor do I shout. I don't call people names and I don't drop people in the middle of nowhere. Thaddias did want to book more lessons with me but I refused and this is when he wrote the review in an attempt to upset me. This review is a lie. 4) Sophie Payne: Sophie booked a 25 hour course and then forgot to turn up and cancelled 11 lessons at short notice. Sophie, on occasions, wanted to be dropped off when finished at friends houses. I did fit in all of her 25 hours. Due to the consistency of Sophie cancelling lessons and forgetting to turn up to them, as well as using me as a taxi service I will lose interest.

Negative experience: Just awful, absolutely awful, if you want to learn to drive DO NOT USE this man! Firstly i paid for 25 hours of lessons and he tried to only give me 20 hours before my test (which i ultimately failed), he only reluctantly gave me the extra 5 when he refused to refund me for the extra 5 hours. Furthermore, he would go for an hour lunch break in lessons and drop you in the middle of nowhere and expect you to pay him for his break!!! In addition to this, the man does not help you to learn, this is a man to who is only in this job for the money, he will not teach you to drive to the best of your ability because it is not in his best interest, he wants you to keep coming back, this is highlighted by the fact that throughout the time i learnt with him, he refused to tell me what i was doing wrong and how to improve, making it incredibly difficult for myself. A final point is that Steve Edwards is aggressive and angry when teaching, throughout the learning he would shout at the top of his lungs, call me names, swear persistently at me to a point where i no longer wanted to learn and to a point that he can test the patience of even the most patient learner. He made me angry behind the wheel (very dangerous for a leaner) and was unapologetic in doing so, furthermore i believe this will only damage the learning of those who may not be confident behind the wheel. I cannot stress to you enough to avoid this man, If i could, i would go back in time and pay to avoid this man, one of the worst experiences of my life, go to someone else, anyone else

Negative experience: Paid £675 for an intense driving course (25 hours lessons, pass plus, theory test & driving test). Wanted to be paid in cash up front so I agreed to do this & booked in my lessons, it was to include 3 full days 8-4. Day one I was picked up at 8, he drove to the location he wanted to teach me in (45 mins) I then drove for a while, he then drove to the local shops for an hour lunch break and dropped me back by 2. This happened the same the next day, on the third day he picked me up at 8 and dropped me back by 11. He is also clearly out of date with his knowledge as a driving instructor as he didn't teach me any of the vital things I would have needed to pass my test, in total I only drove for about 10 hours, I have passed my test (thanks to another instructor) but no pass plus!! Didn't book my driving test out of the money I gave him so he sent me a cheque to the value of £62, the cheque bounced twice! So, moral to the story 1. DO NOT USE Steve Edwards driving school unless you want to be massively ripped off 2. DONT PAY someone in cash as you will end up paying £67.50 an hour for driving lessons. Wasn't even a very nice person to drive with, very impatient, short tempered and shouted when you didn't pick something up.

Negative experience: I had agreed to do an intensive course over 10 days with Edwards. The instructor arrived for the first session but after finishing I was told there was only capacity to do 2 more sessions before my test. This was a huge let down as I had cleared my diary and made myself available for the entire period. It left me to find somebody else at extremely short notice. At this point, I was told that even doing the 2 further sessions with Edwards was not possible. The instruction itself seemed fine but I was very disappointed with the lack off organisation and foresight in saying they had capacity for me when they clearly did not. Fortunately I found another instructor at the last minute and went on to pass. However, Edwards almost cost me a huge waste of my time.

Fantastic experience: Just a note to say a Big Thankyou in helping Josh to pass his driving test, we thought you were a great support to him, and helped him to deal with some of issues he had concerning his driving, helping to build his confidence enough to enable him to pass the driving test.
