Fantastic experience: Passed my class two rigid, great advice and experience from llyod and martin, the girls in the office and rocco also are great in making lessons and test times suit around my schedule, people said go out of town as the test is done in balmoral belfast but i thought it gives you far better experience doing it in the city, you cant be wanting to drive a truck and not drive in a city its not going to work best just jumping in and getting on with it,look forward to completing my cpc module 4 with them and in the future would go back for the class 1, thank you for all the help.

Fantastic experience: Very knowledgeable team. Both the instructors and office team have an in depth understanding of everything from license queries/problems to the softer skills involved in passing the test e.g. how to conduct oneself whilst in test. There is much more to gaining categories on a licence than just passing a test and Lloyd’s really has helped me become a better all round driver. One thing that stood out to me was the breadth of experience within the team. Their diverse backgrounds has created a very robust training system that is much more than ‘just a training provider’ or ‘just previous haulage drivers’, which is common amongst many driving schools. They use their previous backgrounds to train you to be a professional even when driving as a standard car driver; something we can all be better at. I will defo return to Lloyd’s for my next training.

The level of knowledge and assistance I got while training with Lloyds was amazing. Without any previous HGV experience Lloyds managed to get me a solid pass on both Class 2 and Class 1 first time around. The staff are all brilliant and I wish them nothing but the best going forward, I would recommend Lloyds School of Motoring to anyone looking to become a professional driver.

Fantastic experience: I trained with Lloyds for the past week to do my Cat C and have just passed the test. Very many thanks to Louise and Gillian in the office, who kept me right over the past few months about the various aspects of theory and hazard assessments. A special mention for Martin my instructor who drilled all the processes into my head over the week and guided me so well. Fantastic experience: Can't fault the training at all, just passed my Cat C, done one day with martin and the remainder of my training with Steven, very knowledgeable and very patient. Top driving school, anyone considering, upgrading your license, lloyds should be your first choice.

Fantastic experience: I did my category C training with Lloyds and found it a very good experience. Despite having not driven anything larger than a car before I was able to pass first time thanks to Lloyds School of Motoring. The help and assistance provided by Louise and Gillian in the office in guiding me through the process from start to finish and arranging the test booking was very helpful. For the actual driving I was mostly trained by Lloyd (and also had Martin) and found them to be very helpful with a high quality of instruction. The whole team is friendly, supportive and professional while the environment and lorries are well presented which made the training enjoyable. Also I think a special mention should be made of how accommodating the team were in relation to my deafness. I would recommend using Lloyds and I intend to use them again for the Module 4 training.

From Louise and Gillian in the office to Martin and Lloyd who trained me for my Cat C. (Martin you have nerves of steel to stay so calm with me lol). The Mod4 training I recieved was excellent. Enough to pass first attempt with 100%. I am now going into my Cat C test with confidence too, such a big difference from my first day when I was full of nerves getting into the driving seat. Fantastic experience: What a team! I did Cat C, CPC Module 4 and Cat C+E with Lloyd's and couldn’t fault them through any of my training. Louise and Gillian are super efficient, I emailed a number of driving schools initially to get some information on Cat C+E and within the hour Louise had come back to me and we’d scheduled my training week. Gillian then sent me through everything I needed and my deposit was paid by Tuesday morning. All before I’d even heard anything back from the other schools I’d emailed. During the training week they’re very welcoming both at the beginning and the end of each training period. My instructor Steve was excellent, I honestly couldn’t fault his training at all. He’s a very friendly person and calming through the initial nerves at the start of the training. Steve was able to tell us what each examiner is looking for in particular on the test and passed on a wealth of knowledge that I can use when I get a job driving class 1. Anything I asked Steve he was able to answer and explained why he was doing different things with us. The new instructor Martin is a nice guy too, he took me for an assessment the morning of my test. The lorries were clean and tidy, no issues with them at all. They’re all a great bunch and if I ever decide to do any other categories I’ll go back to Lloyds for the training. Thank you all for my experience and all my first attempt passes.

Fantastic experience: iv done my driving class 1 refresher course here and my cpc training course. must say it was all fantastic , couldnt rate these people high enough. girls in the office were so down to earth as were the instructers on the artic. enjoyed every minute. great to be behind the wheel of the artic, its been over 20 years. if anyone is lookin training this is the company to go to. they tick all the right boxes on everything.

Fantastic experience: Done my Cat B+E/ trailer towing with Lloyd’s and passed first time last week. I found Lloyd to be a first class instructor and I really enjoyed the tuition with him. The facilities at the offices and yard are brilliant and you’re given a warm welcome by the very helpful office staff. I fully recommend Lloyd’s and will surely be back for further training at some stage. Would like to say thanks to Lloyd for getting me through the test, top man!

Fantastic experience: I did Cat C, C+E and CPC Module 4 with Lloyd's and can't fault any of the experiences. Louise and Gillian in the office are so helpful and knowledgeable for everything test and had me well looked after before, during and after each training period. The quality of instruction is consistently high and my most recent instructor Steve was especially full of tips and tricks for the test and for getting a job afterward. Lloyd, the owner was very friendly and professional, he's able to answer any and all questions you can think of. Their fleet is also of a modern, high standard with a new vehicle purchased (for another test category) the same week of my training. I'm looking forward to my next chance to train with Lloyd and the team and would highly recommend them to everyone thinking of doing trailer, bus or commercial driving.

Fantastic experience: Lloyd was fantastic throughout this course, making me feel very comfortable in the vehicle from start to finish.

Negative experience: From start to finish the whole process with Lloyds was very stressful. If I hadn’t of rang the day before my training was to start I wouldn’t of known a start time. Day of test I arrived at time given to go for my pre test drive to find no lorry and no instructor due to miscommunication with the office., So driving time was cut short and I was extremely stressed before my test even started. If it had not been for my instructor Ian who had done the majority of my training I don’t think I would have passed first time. Communication with Lloyd himself is very difficult due to his hearing impairment. Lloyd also delivered conflicting information from previous instructor. This was confirmed with my examiner on day of test.

Fantastic experience: Professional and friendly service. This is the second time I have trained with Lloyds to obtain a professional driving qualification. First time was Cat D and this time Cat C. The level of instruction is very high and gives you confidence for the test. I will certainly use Lloyds for my C+E qualification.

Fantastic experience: hello my name is brian i done 2 days training and 1 day for my b e trailer test in June. they let me use my own suv ford kuga stline X and there trailer went out of there way for me was very grateful . first time came to the office lousie and gailen was very nice put it you at ease got offerd tea etc very professional. went out with the owner Loyd he was very nice and his training what he gived was very good got professional service and i passed first time was fair price what i paid for the training and test day all together was round 450. i have already pointed couple of my friends to them would highly recommend them they are all lovely people. hopefully in the future things goes to plan i be back with them do my HGV class 2 and 1.

Fantastic experience: After making an initial inquiry last year about getting my class c licence I'm now very happy (and relieved) to say that i passed my class c test in October 2021 and then passed my c+e test in January 2022. Fantastic experience: I've used Lloyd's School Of Motoring on 4 occasions now. On all 4 occasions I've passed first time - with a high pass mark percentage too. This was for a mixture of vehicles and CPC Module 4's. I honestly believe LSOM to be the best value for buck! They deliver first class first training! This comes along with friendly banter- optional ofcourse ☺ . They also have a great fleet of vehicles along with a fantastic premises. This operation is only possible because both Gillian and Louise are in the background conducting the orchestra. Fantastic experience: The cat C training provided by Lloyds was excellent the office staff are helpful well informed and very efficient giving customers confidence in the processes involved and the courses you require. The driving instructors (I had both Ian and Lloyd) were excellent, patient, knowledgeable and very professional. I felt the overall experience was supportive and confidence inspiring and cannot recommend them enough. I will continue to use Lloyds for all of my training needs.

Fantastic experience: Took module 4 CPC with Lloyds school of motoring. Friendly staff who explained all that was required from the out set. Constant contact ensuring you were ready for the training and for test day. Training day was well presented with easy to follow instruction. Vehicle used on instruction was the one you use on test day so you can get familiar with this. Once the training was done all paperwork was completed ready for test day. Test day they met you at the test centre and were able to run though any questions that you may off had before the test starts. Highly recommend for this training.

Fantastic experience: I got to know Lloyd as a real gentleman and a Samaritan who dropped me off close to my home when my transport broke down. Thanks Lloyd.

Negative experience: This may seem like a long rant but here's a list of all the issues I had with Lloyd's School of Motoring 1. Called up and because it was near Christmas was promised a call back and never got one 2. When I started on the first day was left in the lorry by ourselves with no instructor for an hour to go check on a module 4 (admittedly I don't blame the instructor he was only doing what he was told), this resulted in only 40 min of a 6 hour day of driving for myself. (The only saving grace was the hour was made up but when I asked the owner should that of even of happened in the first place he refused to give me an answer, because to be perfectly honest 6 hours is long enough and I don't want to stay on longer than necessary) 3. No one was able to give exact instruction on what reference points to use when reversing. We were constantly told different reference points which made it confusing and difficult to grasp. 4. Speaking of the reversing the area, it's absolutely abismol, theres no lines or anything of the sort marked out, boundaries are marked out with bits of wood and stones and the land is not level and after doing so many the area turn in to muddy mess. It should really be concreted over and marked out properly, but apparently it cost too much (not as much as the big house that the owner has on site, but I digress) 5. On the final day the owner was taking us and took 10 minutes to get himself ready to then take another 10 minutes to set up the reversing section (again wouldn't be needed if it was concreted over) and then a further 10 minutes later on to try and figure out what reference points to use, with which we went back inside to explain the situation to one of the ladies in the office to then give a cheeky response. 6. And finally Lloyd, the owner who took us out on the final day, I never loose my cool but for me to loose it twice in the space of less than 12 hours with someone is a new record for me, how he spoke to me and instructed me was an absolute joke, I will not go into exact details but if I've parted with a large sum of money I expect to be treated with some respect and I didn't feel that with him. After loosing my cool with Lloyd the first time he said to me I was getting the "best service for my money" and I honestly said to him "balls" and after doing my rigid with someone else previously I would stick to that still the service from there is ridiculous. The only saving grace form this experience is that 2 out of the 3 instructors over that period Stevie and David were very nice guys and I enjoyed driving with them.
