Fantastic experience: I was badly injured in an accident last year so was unable to drive for over a year. I was very nervous to start driving again but really wanted to get back to some sort of normal life. I found Alison doing a google search and I am so delighted that I did. Fantastic experience: Allison is great driving instructor, or as I would describe her a teacher. As someone who tended to switch off from time to time when first driving she was very patient with me and helped install concentration and assertiveness to my driving. She would hsve slogans q And handout sheets which would stick in my brain and helped improve my driving massively. This includes going far beyond the bare minimum needed to pass the test, ensuring you have the experience to confidently handle anything the roads might throw at you. She provides lots of resources for you to learn from outside of lessons such as sheets, websites and videos. You also keep a written log of your progress after each lesson, so you know exactly what to practise in order to improve. She is funny, patient and makes sure you know that it’s ok to make mistakes, all of which create a relaxed feeling in the car. Her teaching allowed me to pass my test with only one minor, can’t recommend her enough!

Fantastic experience: Alison is fantastic! She has a clear scheme of work and provides resources such as guides, written reminders and videos after your lessons. The driving lessons are sequenced well and so you learn a driving skill and then apply it to a new context. Alison as a person is very patient and kind (She's also quite funny!). She will tell you exactly what you need to do to improve! It's not just about passing the test for her, she goes a step further to make sure you're going to be competent on the road.

Fantastic experience: Ethan enjoyed his lessons with Alison and found her both very friendly and very thorough. He said that Alison taught him how to drive and not just how to pass his test. This was just as well because as soon as he passed his test he was driving north and south on the A41, around Apex Corner to school and I was confident that he had all the necessary skills to do this.

Fantastic experience: I initially started learning to drive with another teacher, but when I felt that I wasn’t really progressing, I moved to Alison. She is genuinely such a wonderful teacher, and though she had the difficulty of undoing some of the bad habits i’d already developed, she quickly made me feel so much more relaxed in the car and slowly built up my confidence, subsequently rapidly improving my driving. By the time my test approached I felt fully prepared and comfortable to deal with any situation on the roads and passed first time. She coached me into driving calmly and confidently and entered me for my test when she felt I was ready meaning I passed first time. He’s had a series of lessons with her, enjoyed every one and has come on in leaps and bounds. Fantastic experience: After a car accident I lost all confidence and hated driving. Alison was very reassuring and answered all my questions, never pressurised me into doing routes I was uneasy with and understood what I really needed to get out of these lessons. She always gave me good constructive feedback and after 8 lessons I was on the motorway! Alison has given me the confidence to get back on the road and enjoy driving again.

Fantastic experience: Alison did not directly teach me to drive but I was lucky enough to be able to have a few conversations with her on the phone where she was able to teach me some techniques which helped to calm me during my driving test as I was struggling with my nerves. Fantastic experience: I chose Alison to give me a refresher motorway lesson. Having originally learnt with a few different instructors during my initial driving , I must say Alison far outshone them all. She shows great enthusiasm and patience and it is evident she loves to teach and create confident and happy drivers. Fantastic experience: Alison has endless patience and dedication towards every student - although I moved mid-way through learning to drive Alison taught me multiple techniques to calm nerves and changed my entire attitude towards driving. Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved my driving lessons with Alison. I didn't realise that there was so much to learn! With Alison's teaching methods I really found that I engaged and understood what she was teaching me in every lesson. There were a few times where driving became difficult for me and I thought it was going to take me ages to understand. However, Alison always told me not to compare my learning experience with anyone else's and just to learn at the correct speed for me. Using that mind set really helped me and added to how well prepared I was which was why I was able to pass first time. There was no rush and Alison was always so patient with me, which made me feel very calm. Fantastic experience: I recently had lessons with Alison and was delighted with the whole experience. She made me feel relaxed and her thorough way of teaching left me knowing there would be nothing I hadn't learnt when it came to my test. I felt confident when driving and, even if I was having an 'off' day, she would always stay calm and encourage me. During my test I felt as though nothing was different, driving as I normally would, due to the confidence I had gained from lessons. I passed first time all thanks to Alison! My lessons where personally tailored to me and nearing my test she would often ask what I felt I needed to work on, letting me choose what I did. I never felt pushed to do anything I didn't feel ready for and Alison was always very patient. Alison ensures that when you pass your test you will become a safe driver, not only teaching you the basics you need to pass your test but everything else that comes with driving. Fantastic experience: Despite having passed my test at 17, I found myself looking for an instructor in my late thirties. A long break from driving (15 + years) left me with little confidence, lots of nerves and feeling the pressure from other road users. If I knew I had to drive, I dreaded it for days. After reading the positive reviews on Alison I decided to give her a call to try and address this and I'm so glad I did. Alison's calm and positive approach was brilliant. She quickly identified some issues in my driving technique which were making me feel less in control of the car and offered suggestions to tackle the nerves. Lessons were very individually tailored, I wanted to get out and about with my children more so we drove to the leisure centre, soft play places, even Hatfield House, so I'd have confidence to do those routes again. We did also a lot of driving in unfamiliar places so I'd feel more confident generally. In addition, Alison pushed me (gently) to tackle things that I found challenging, like large roundabouts and reverse parking. I have now had my last lesson with Alison and I'm a changed woman behind the wheel. My bad habits have gone, I'm much more relaxed and my confidence is growing all the time. Alison is a brilliant driving instructor and I feel very lucky she took me on. As you can probably tell, she gets a 'highly recommended' from me.

Fantastic experience: I couldn't agree more with all the hugely positive comments that people have made about the way they have learnt to drive with Alison. Alison taught my daughter, Katie, under quite tricky circumstances but, in the short time we had, (I sat in on lessons so that I knew exactly how to help with practice), Alison's clear and calm way of teaching turned Katie into a confident and safe driver who passed her test first time. I felt Alison really cared about Katie and made sure that she knew not just how to pass her test but to drive well and competently in the future for her own and other road users safety. Fantastic experience: Alison has now taught two of my sons to drive and we’ve booked her in for the next one next year. She helped boost my confidence and taught me 'tapping' techniques to calm my initial anxiety about driving. Lessons were fun and enjoyable and I would highly recommend Alison to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to take lessons with Alison by a friend and I have never looked back! Alison doesn't just teach you how to pass, she teaches you how to drive so that when you do pass your test first time (which you most probably will!) you know just how to drive on your own. Very thorough and a different flavoured sweet every lesson- you can't go wrong!

Fantastic experience: I recently passed my test with Alison after putting it off for many years. I am dyspraxic and struggle with physical/ co-ordination things, so driving was more of a challenge for me, but Alison worked with me to develop techniques and methods to be able to deal with manoeuvres and spatial awareness issues in a way that my brain could figure out. She helped me to have confidence and to persevere when I found things challenging, so now that have passed I feel confident to drive on my own and deal with any situation. I am very pleased and would recommend her to any learner driver.

Fantastic experience: I'm posting this after having passed my driving test first time with Alison as my instructor. Before my lessons I had a phobia of being in cars due to car-crash trauma, I would get nervous each time I sat in the passenger seat and would have panic attacks when overtaking. After some time-assisted healing I finally worked up the nerve to try and learn how to drive. In addition to this I'm also dyspraxic, I suffer from coordination issues and don't pick up new motorskills quickly. Despite this Alison took me on as a student and right away was able to adjust her teaching to my needs. She taught me several coping strategies for driving related anxiety and apprehension as well as some neat tricks for dealing with my dyspraxia. I was amazed to find I was actually capable of driving after all. Alison didn't just teach me how to pass my test, she taught me how to drive. After learning for a while I began to notice just how reckless other drivers can be, I'm confident if I ever veer towards such tendencies I'll have Alison's voice chiding me in my head as a deterrent. While well disciplined and careful she's certainly not harsh or scary, she was very patient with me and probably as friendly as I'd want a teacher to be. You wont be disappointed, if I can pass then Joe Bloggs/John Doe certainly can. She gave me just the right amount of information, not leaving me wondering and not overloading me. I can't express just how happy I am to have had Alison as an instructor, heck so happy that I bothered to look her up on Google so I could leave a review so that other folk might know. Hurry up and give her a call! What more can I say? She's brilliant!

Fantastic experience: I was struggling to pass my test, as every time the examiner got in the car I became a ball of nerves. After a few failed tests my instructor started chatting to Alison who introduced tapping to help me with my nerves. I still learnt with my instructor, but using the tapping techniques from Alison and she sat in on one my lessons to help me get used to different people in the car. For a few months before the test and on the day of the test I did the tapping, it only takes 5 minutes in the morning and I felt the change, I was more confident in all aspects not just driving. The next time I took my test I passed, I still do the tapping and today I drove by myself in my car for the first time. Thank you for introducing tapping to me, its really helped and I know I will be using future.

Fantastic experience: When I first started lessons with Alison I was extremely nervous and didn't think that I would ever pass my test. Alison was excellent, patient and a skilled instructor. Alison has taught me the skills I needed to drive on the roads safely and confidently and pass my test first time! I was given a range of different learning tools to use and Alison was always happy to go over anything I did not understand to reinforce the skills required to initially pass my test. Additionally Alison has offered and taught me strategies to deal with the actual practicality of driving after successfully passing the test. A very good experience and the proof of the teaching method was a first time pass. Wonderful all round totally recommended !!! I couldn't have have done it without her!

Fantastic experience: Alison has not only helped me pass my test, but taught me to drive confidently and safely. I don't think I would be where I am at the moment with any other instructor; her patience is limitless and her wide range of teaching methods are infallible. Going above and beyond what needs to be taught for a practical test, I have learnt skills and techniques with Alison that I believe have prepared me for just about any situation on the road - and I haven't even taken my Pass Plus yet! I have complete confidence in her instruction, and would recommend her to anyone. The friendliest and kindest teacher I've ever had!

Fantastic experience: I cannot imagine that I would have passed my test first time without the help of Alison. I gained so much confidence and Alison was very flexible so I was able to fit driving around my part time job and school workload. I felt that I took something very valuable from my lessons, not just the basics but skills and tips that would benefit me in the future and enable me to be a safe driver. The lessons themselves always presented something new and challenging but I always felt supported and encouraged particularly when I was having difficulty. The thing that I am most grateful for is that Alison did as much as possible to ensure that I passed my test before leaving for university which has helped me greatly. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Alison has taught all three of our children to drive and all three of them are very fond of her. She has the ability to not only teach them to drive and all about driving but also manages some how to go beyond that and teach some life lessons too, as well as making them laugh in fact I'm a bit sick of hearing " Alison says..."...! Lol! - its a bit like having a life coach/driving instructor rolled into one. How Alison has time for anything else I've got no idea (her house is immaculate too!), not only does she take them out in the car but she kept all of them up dated with sheets of information and tips and websites to look at too. If you want your children to be safe and really in control when they learn to drive Alison is the instructor for you. Endless amounts of patience and enthusiasm and honestly the kids love her. I've no idea how she does it she should have a Halo not an L on the roof of her car!
