Fantastic experience: I just passed my driving test on Tuesday with the help of Bonjean. Bonjean is a very good instructor! He is very knowledgeable and thorough. He listens to you. And will put you right if you do wrong. I was very pleased with his service he goes above and beyond to make sure you’re ready for your test. Fantastic experience: I had practised with four instructors for 6 hours each; however, I continued to need help and wasn't really getting anywhere with my skills and test anxiety. Continually searching Google and trying my luck, I then came across Arul from Auto-Gears Watford. With less than three weeks before my test, I had the psychological and skills challenge to ensure I passed the first time. Arul was empathetic from the start. He treated me as a student and not a client. He went through all my concerns, knowing I am dyslexic with ADD, and gently added his feedback. Pros: 1) He has excellent communication skills, and that is a standout. All instructors were approved and had experience, but his ability to teach, communicate lucidly, and understand my needs was one of his greatest strengths. 2) He was very empathetic and worked with me to tailor my lessons to address my skills and mental blocks. 3) He was genuinely patient and always smiling, making this challenging task enjoyable. 4) He took considerable time to demonstrate and take time until I was comfortable with my manoeuvres. 5) He was very humble. Lessons were 1.5 hours, but he often did not charge me for my silly post-lesson questions. 6) I was quickly able to develop a professional relationship with him, and as time went on, he took my feedback and input to personalize my entire teaching experience 7) Affordable lesson prices 8) Exam / test-based focused learning rather than wasting time on all routes. Your test day and time (school time vs. garbage collection) can affect your test, and he looked into it to ensure you are ready for your test on the specific day and time. Without a doubt, he is an intelligent and a smart teacher. 9) Online calendaly access so you can book lessons based on your needs Cons: 1) He is too humble, often telling you you dont need enough lessons. However, I ensured I took as many lessons as possible until I was comfortable and confident. 2) There are no Sunday lessons if you are a working professional. However, he gave me more time on Saturdays and Friday evenings. You may need to work with him to tailor your time and lessons. Summary: The result was that I passed on my first attempt with only one minor. I cannot recommend him more highly. I strongly advise you to book a session to experience it for yourself. Fantastic experience: I have more than 25 years experience of driving. However, completely new for the UK. With the introduction of one of my friends, I contacted Arul and since the first day of contact him, he has directed me through the correct path of booking the test to pass the examination. After making the reservation of test date, I have gone through few lessons with Arul and surprisingly I have realized plenty of mistakes done by me over the last 25 years. Arul guided me nicely with a lot of patience to rectify my mistakes and finally I have got through the examination. I personally believe that 90 per cent of the credit should go to Arul for his dedication, patient and the teaching style. Arul is a patient, considerate instructor who went above and beyond to get me ready for my test - I had used a few other instructors prior to this and Arul was by far the best. He gives great feedback and clear instructions in a way that always made me feel comfortable and at ease behind the wheel. He also has great knowledge of all the test routes, making Auto Gears an excellent choice both for getting me test-ready but also for making me a good driver.

Fantastic experience: I am an experienced driver but before getting my UK driving licence, I thought it was a good idea to take some driving lessons from Arul. Indeed, I took 3 hours of driving classes with him and those hours helped me pass my driving test in my first trial. Arul is very helpful, decent and approachable. Negative experience: I booked 20 lessons in diary. Then told day before first lesson it's cancelled and he does not the time to honour the bookings now. Very disappointing and wasted over a month of our time.

Fantastic experience: I had six 1.5 hour lessons with Arul prior to my practical test and I couldn't recommend him enough. He is really calm and instills confidence in you and is easy to talk to whilst explaining things really well with good explanation. He is an excellent instructor with a keen eye for detail. He also has extensive knowledge of local test routes and if you are thinking of learning on automatic then Arul should be your first option. For reference I also had lessons with an instructor who lives on my road, a few with my parents, and 2 with BSM (before my instructor got covid hence why I found Arul) and the difference between them and Arul is light and day. If you want to be a great, confident, driver then AutoGears is the best option!!
