Fantastic experience: With over 25 years of driving experience, I wanted to upgrade my license to a manual one. I realised that a few lessons before my test would be essential to break some bad habits and relearn the basics. Ryan at TDSM Driving School came highly recommended by a friend, and he did not disappoint. After our first contact, and with my driving test only two months away, he managed to fit in four essential sessions. The first lesson began with a mock test, and the subsequent sessions focused on improving the areas that needed work. I passed my test, and I have Ryan to thank for that. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone, whether they are just learning to drive or have years of experience.

Fantastic experience: Ryan Is the best driving instructor. Unfortunately for me my previous driving instructor left me 2 weeks before my driving test. I contacted TDSM Driving School and explained my situation. Ryan took me on and gave me a mock test where he assessed my strengths and areas where I needed to improve on. After just have a total of 6 lessons with Ryan he helped me PASS my test FIRST TIME! If you looking to start your driving I would 100% recommend that you go to Ryan and TDSM for your lessons.

Fantastic experience: I contacted TDSM Driving School for refresher lessons after not having driven for a long time since passing my test. Ryan was super helpful, he checked my knowledge and assessed my driving in order to give me the tools I needed to get comfortable driving again. I really can’t describe how scared I was to be back on the road, and how much my confidence was boosted after just one lesson! When he took me on I was under-confident and anxious about learning to drive in London (even at the age of 30), I never thought I’d end up enjoying it. He immediately put me at ease with his friendliness and created a relaxed, calm environment that I felt comfortable in. His teaching approach is clear and detailed and he goes above and beyond to make sure you’re really understanding everything you need to. He taught me failsafe techniques to pass my test plus extra tips and advice for driving in ‘real life’. Fantastic experience: Ryan is so amazing and words can't describe how grateful I am. He is not just a patient and professional instructor, but also a good man that always think on your side. He managed to put me in his tight schedule, and sometimes sacrifice his Saturday just because I may need more practice before my test. As I have experience before, he assessed me in our first lesson, found my weak point and planed lessons accordingly. I believe I'm not just qualified to pass a test but also built a solid foundation to drive safely. My 1st attempt failed in Chingford, but we believe it's just bit of unlucky and nervous. My 2nd attempt was booked in Bishops Stortford, in a very short notice and didn't covered by his area, so I was not expected he could come. But when I told him, he pushed out his existing schedule, and willing to drive me 50km away simply because he knew it can be very difficult to find other instructors in such a shot time. How lucky I am to meet Ryan! And thankfully I did pass my 2nd attempt and finally we can enjoy a peace of mind.

Fantastic experience: Ryan is an amazing instructor and someone I highly recommend! I came to him after failing my first test and he helped me to see my weak points and tailored the lessons to work on these. He helped build my confidence up and encouraged me in ways i felt like my previous instructor did not. Fantastic experience: I am so grateful to Ryan for all the amazing driving lessons I've had with him. I have been struggling to past my test for about 3 years now - including the Covid years - and had been through many different driving instructors. However, once I found Ryan, I was able to get quality teaching. As a teacher myself, I could see the effective techniques he was using in every lesson - e.g making notes on my track card weekly so that I would have an idea on what to work on also helped a lot. Fantastic experience: What can I say, the best driving instructor! I started driving lessons at TDSM having zero confidence in my ability to drive, so much so, all I had was dread at the thought of getting in a car. My lessons have been so great (and I NEVER thought I would say that) and have made me feel like such a competent driver, not only just to pass a test but also to prepare me for driving solo! I cannot recommend TDSM enough, particularly as an older learner. It was great to be taught by someone I could trust and who could adapt their teaching to suit my needs. I am so happy I made the decision to start lessons at TDSM.

Fantastic experience: Before I met Ryan, I hated my driving lessons. This was because my previous instructor made me feel absolutely useless to the point I believed it myself. Then my mum found Ryan for me online and my attitude towards driving completely changed. He made the lessons informative, fun and wasn’t afraid to tell me what I was doing wrong. Fantastic experience: I passed my test today in the first attempt. Mr Ryan of TDSM is a brilliant instructor who made me feel at ease and even reassured me when I thought I won't be able to make it. He gave clear instructions and precise training to ensure I was a safe driver and able to deal with different situations. Fantastic experience: Ryan was a great instructor. I was a very nervous student and it was imperative that i found the right person to teach me. Ryan was always easy to contact to arrange lessons had great communication and on lesson really put me at ease. he has a clear structured lesson plan and once completed he fine tunes everything to your individual needs. he was adaptable and was never fazed by coming up with a new plan to find a way to teach me personally. Even when i booked my test at the wrong test center, Wanstead instead of Chingford, he wasn't at all worried and easily switched our routine around the new test routes. It took me a while to learn, and that was down to my own nerves, but Ryan is a real people person and really knew how to prepare me for my test. Ryan aka TDSM driving school, Walthamstow are very professional, most of the time I felt like i was meeting up with a friend for a drive around. great teacher, great banter. Fantastic experience: Ryan managed to fit me in with his busy schedule and within 3 weeks of lessons, I passed firs time! As others have mentioned , Ryan is excellent at putting you at ease while driving. I’ve never felt nervous while driving with him. He is knowledgable and tailors the lessons to your driving needs / requirements. He had confidence in my driving skills even when I didn’t. I definitely lucked out!

Fantastic experience: It took me ages to finally get my licence, but Ryan was unfailingly positive, patient and encouraging throughout (8 long months!) His tone and style is perfect for learning - he is clear and precise but also very understanding about mistakes and difficulties (of which I had several....) Ryan often squeezed in lessons at awkward times to make things easier for me, even at weekends. Seems to actually like his job hugely, too, which I think is key. Can’t recommend highly enough! He is popular for a reason. A fearful and reluctant driver here, but I finally got to grips with it all. Thanks Ryan!

I was an extremely nervous driver, who'd given up lessons when I was 17 because I couldn't get over my nerves. 15 years later, Ryan managed to get me to pass first time! His lessons are really structured, and his progress card means you get a really clear sense of how you're doing and where you need to improve. He's kind and patient, and explains things well. Fantastic experience: I had driving lessons when I was younger and struggled with it - I was apprehensive about learning to drive again… but Ryan helped me pass! Ryan taught some Walthamstow friends and his driving school came highly recommended. He has developed an excellent way of teaching. He tracks your progress with his own system, which helps you see your strengths and weakness and help you see how far you have come.

He has lots of helpful tips for manoeuvers and memorisation methods and he adapts them for each student. He helped me feel safe by understanding “why” I was doing all the checks and routines. Ryan is very friendly and approachable. He put me at ease so I could focus on learning and he never made be feel stupid.

His lessons are really well structured, so you know exactly what you need to work on and where you're doing well. Fantastic experience: I came to Ryan after 4 different driving instructors and about 40 hours of wasted lessons. Really glad I found him and he helped me to pass first time!! It was tough to adjust after being taught so many conflicting things before but Ryan was patient and broke everything down and explained it in a common sense way. He also drums everything into your head over and over that I found myself saying it out loud during the test to calm my nerves and let the examiner know that I knew what I was doing :) Thank you very much for everything Ryan! Fantastic experience: Let me just start off by saying that Ryan is a fantastic and supportive driving instructor. He honestly is amazing at what he does. I started my driving lessons on the 30th June with about 10 hours experience of driving beforehand, and I passed my driving test for the FIRST TIME with only 4 minors on the 14th August at the Chingford test centre. That’s ONE & A HALF MONTHS! Ryan has a natural gift when it comes to preparing his students for their test and has such a likeable personality that you actually enjoy learning how to drive. Throughout all my lessons, I was able to track my progress and identify all my weaknesses and strengths because of Ryan's useful spreadsheet technique that tracks each students progress methodically. I would honestly recommend Ryan to anyone who is looking for a professional, positive and passionate driving instructor in Walthamstow, Chingford or Higham’s Park and wants to pass with FLYING COLOURS! Fantastic experience: Today I passed my second driving test thanks to Ryan. He has a great method of teaching and I found that I really clicked with him. He's very funny, and the lessons go quickly as, in addition to the excellent tuition, he's very easy to talk to. He is very patient when he has to explain something, and really makes sure you know what you're doing, and is always happy to explain elements further, or change the way he explains them if you're still not quite getting it. Great instructor and very glad I went with him.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I passed my drivers test on the first try all thanks to Ryan! He proved to be a fantastic instructor, he is calm, explains himself clearly and made the time during the lesson fly by because he is a great person. Fantastic experience: Ryan got me from complete beginner to passing my test, Ryan uses a very calm technique and makes you feel at ease straight away, he explains every new manoeuvre or technique with patience and great experience, he always makes sure you understand what you have just been taught. Due to my age and nerves it took me a year to pass but Ryan never gave up and always had faith in me passing, I am very grateful to Ryan and will miss our lessons.

Fantastic experience: I am so grateful to Ryan for helping me finally pass my driving test. I had many unsucccessful attempts with other instructors and lost all my confidence by the time I met him. I really enjoyed taking lessons from him, he is such a nice and intelligent guy and we always had nice conversation, which really took the edge of my nerves. Ryan has a great way of teaching, he uses a spreadsheet to monitor progress so he knows exactly where he left off. He placed markers all over the inside of the car, which really helped with parking manouvers. He also has a very nice and easy to drive car with all the extras you want or need. All in all, don’t waste your time with anybody else. Ryan is the best!

Fantastic experience: We had a driving assessment prior, as I already have driving experience from another country. Surprisingly, we agreed to the same hours I needed and what I was lacking. Don't be fooled by other 'cheaper driving schools' as I've heard that they would try to keep you on longer hours. A little extra from TDSM really makes a difference, both with progressive learning hours and a professional instructor. Though out all the lessons, we had a very good chat and became comfortable very soon. Finding the 'right' driving instructor is very important and I was very happy to have met Ryan. He always had a quick eye on what I was doing wrong and point things out very fast, he taught me how to drive safely with a patient and cheerful mood every time. I was too confident at my first test, I failed with 3 serious and 6 minors. The 2nd time I passed with only 2 (silly) minors. I only had 2 extra classes after the first fail. So everything is all you, and Ryan is there to guide you through. Thank you, Ryan!

Fantastic experience: I came across TDSM Driving School in February when researching for a reliable and suitable driving instructor for myself as there were many to choose from. I wanted an instructor with a high pass rate and good reviews from past and present learners so I decided to get in touch with Ryan. We had a great conversation over the phone and I decided to book myself in for some lessons. During my lessons, Ryan was absolutely exceptional and superb! Each lesson you would have a laugh, he was never in a bad mood. I learned an incredible amount in such a short amount of time. Ryan went through everything with me step by step and if you were ever unsure on anything, you would simply re-do it until you felt confident enough to do it without his help. He has definitely outshone to anyone else that I know with his personality. I would rather prefer to pay that little bit extra to feel totally comfortable around an instructor, instead of feeling uneasy with a grumpy instructor, after all it still is Customer Service. On the morning of my test I was nervous but Ryan gave me the re-assurance that I needed and kept telling me that I was more than ready and that I could do this (At that very moment... It was like the scene from the Lion King movie when Rafiki picks up Simba, raises him and says I believe in you haha). From there on all I can remember is having taken my test and the driving examiner congratulating me that I had passed my test and handing me over the blue certificate! I managed to pass my test when having just had a few lessons with Ryan which I was completely in shock about and that was all through what Ryan had taught me, all in just about 2 months! He has a very good way of teaching you how to remember things, with using certain reference points on the car to judge your position, which is going to help me so much in my future driving. I would definitely recommend Ryan to anyone that is new to driving or wishes to pick up where they last left off from. You will be surprised what this instructor can teach you... He's like the encyclopaedia of driving and the Doctor Who of the DVSA :-) It has been an absolute honour to have learned with Ryan and TDSM Driving School. Fantastic experience: Best Walthamstow driving school! I had another instructor before, which helped me appreciate how fantastic the driving lessons were with TDSM. Ryan had a great understanding of common faults but was also able to taylor the lessons to the things I was struggling with and helped me pass condifently. You really couldn't do better.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic driving instructor - couldn’t be happier. Passed first time today! :D Having had a few lessons several years ago, I wasn’t sure how many more I would need. After one lesson with Ryan, he was able to assess what level I was at, and what needed working on. Ryan clearly has a knack for quickly identifying weaknesses and knowing exactly where things are going wrong, and how to correct them. He is obviously highly experienced and knowledgeable, knows the test routes inside out, and makes sure to go over the particularly tricky bits until you’re comfortable doing them. Fantastic experience: I did quite a bit of research to find a really good local driving instructor (after some negative driving lesson experiences in the past). As a result Ryan looked like the best option and I was not disappointed - Ryan really is an excellent and reliable instructor! He has lots of patience and a natural, clear teaching style that helped me build skills and confidence very rapidly. He got me to test standard much quicker than I expected and lessons were always enjoyable as Ryan has a great sense of humour! I would thoroughly recommend Ryan and TDSM.

Fantastic experience: Ryan is the best driving instructor I know. I was incredibly nervous when I first started learning with him, as I had really bad experiences with a previous instructor. Ryan helped me feel at ease, supported me through all my silly mistakes, helped me feel calm and now I feel very confident behind the steering wheel. Ryan is really patient, extremely focused, honest, reliable and knowledgeable driving instructor! He is a real PRO. I would highly recommend anyone to have Ryan as a driving instructor!

Fantastic experience: After many driving lessons and tests, I decided to try Ryan from TDSM and would strongly RECOMMED Ryan. Ryan is a brilliant instructor who takes the time out to explain anything you don’t understand. He is funny, understanding, easy to get on with and makes driving fun. Ryan had confidence in me and made me have confidence in myself and after only a few hours of lessons, I passed my test with Ryan as my instructor. Ryan is a genuine guy who cares about his students and honestly wants the best for them and I wish I had found Ryan earlier. I would definitively recommend Ryan/TDSM to anyone who is looking to take lessons and pass their test as he knows EXACTLY what he is talking about and you will not be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: I don't normally write reviews but..... Ryan is the best instructor I have ever come across. Unfortunately for me I've come across a fair few of driving instructors and I can confidently tell you this guy knows what he is doing. After many years of frustration I pass with Ryan with just 6 lessons. Use Ryan as your instructor and you never be disappointed.

He is knowledgeable, reliable and patient. More important than that he is an all round lovely person and very easy company! Fantastic experience: I'd had other driving instructors before.. Who liked to shout at me when I did things wrong. It's about finding a common ground with someone and finding someone who's a good teacher. Ryan isn't a good teacher. He is a great one. My background with driving before I met Ryan was definitely negative. I'd had a few lessons and stopped for 7 years with my confidence on the floor. When I met Ryan, he was friendly, laid back, I felt I could easily learn from him and I was instantly at ease. Not only did he prepare me for the test. He prepared me for driving in the real world. I started as the most nervous driver in the universe, and I had no confidence. It's a hard thing to get over, but I wanted to try for Ryan because I knew he genuinely wanted to see me do well. He cared. He was flexible with hours and days, which was needed as my working hours are ridiculous. And he would always text me without fail a day before as a reminder. I almost went with a slightly cheaper company. I'm so glad I didn't. I chose Ryan TDSM simply because I wanted quality and reliability. And I certainly wasn't disappointed. Passed with 4 minors. Winning at life. Thanks TDSM!!!!!

Fantastic experience: It is easy to tell with Ryan that he is trying to lay down all the groundwork for you to become a good, capable and forward thinking driver as well as getting you through your test. His methods are solid and he has an energy for both you and the job, consistently tweaking the program to you and looking for ways to ensure first rate teaching. I got on really well with him and it was a pleasure to do my lessons, which I feel was important to how well I learnt. I managed to pass first time after 26hrs of lessons and genuinely feel like I wouldn't of managed it with another instructor. He's aware of changes in the area & the test routes, whether they are short-term (like roadworks) or longterm (like spots were students consistently fail) and will bring that all into play to get the most of the lessons. He is also accomodating and will help out where he can to fit extra lessons or shift things around to adapt to how you are doing in the run-up to your test. Would happily recommend him to anyone.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a driving instructor around the East London area, then Ryan at TDSM is the Man. After having some really bad experiences with driving instructors in the past. (With broken promises, and poor teaching methods) Ryan has restored my faith as a good hard working and honest instructor. The rapport he builds with you is second to none, and he makes you totally feel at ease right from the very first lesson. One of the best things about him is that he cares about his students. I’ve always had him on my lessons telling me how his other students are doing and on how we students can learn from each others mistakes. I also like the fact that he is always learning from his experiences and passing on the same wisdom he has learnt, on to us. He is an amazing instructor and would highly recommend him.

Fantastic experience: The best driving instructor around! I have had 3 different driving instructors and Ryan was by far the best! he really built my confidence as a driver and always encouraged me to push myself... if you are new to driving or have had lessons before I would highly recommend TDSM. Ryan always made the effort to work the lessons around times that were suitable for me even if the were inconvenient for him.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Ryan as an instructor - always professional and an excellent teacher but perhaps more importantly made me feel relaxed and at ease. As an older learner I felt nervous about getting into the driving seat for the first time but Ryan made me feel comfortable and guided me to my pass.

Fantastic experience: I'd always been nervous about driving and had tried with another instructor but didn't enjoy it, so I was 33 when I started with TDSM. Ryan made me relaxed from the first lesson, always thoroughly explaining everything instead of just letting me loose on the road. I managed to pass my test first time after ten hours of lessons less than is recommended for my age!! Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Learning to drive in London, and at 50 was admittedly a little daunting. However I needn’t have worried as Ryan from TDSM made the whole process manageable and stress free. Ryan’s teaching system is tailored to the needs of each driver and after each session he methodically goes over what you have learned and areas that need working on. Ryan is very easy to get on with and has a natural talent of putting you at ease. He has great sense of humour blended with an extremely professional manner. I am pleased to say that I passed my test on my second attempt and have no hesitation in recommending TDSM.

Fantastic experience: Ryan is a brilliant driving instructor and I couldn't recommend Ryan enough. I only started to learn at the age of 30 having put off learning to drive for a long time. I was very nervous about learning to drive especially in London given all the traffic and having been involved in an accident 10 years ago. Ryan provided excellent instruction and made me feel at ease from day 1. I always felt safe and Ryan worked to quickly build up my confidence and hone my skills. Speaking to a number of friends, it's clear that Ryan teaches skills to a degree that other instructors don't (its a matter of pride to him that you can do a perfect bay park or turn in the road etc!). If your looking to learn to drive in east London, i would strongly recommend Ryan. Ryan takes great pride in his work and a teaching style that worked really well for me - i am now happily driving around London

Fantastic experience: Ryan is a brilliant driving instructor who always keeps you calm and at ease so that the learning to drive experience isn't so daunting. Ryan's teaching methods throughout the driving lessons have been spot on and has a very good system when it comes to getting you in perfect shape for your test. Ryan has always been able to fit me in around his schedule if I gave him enough notice, which was great because I was starting uni when I was doing my lessons and I had a lot of timetable changes.

Ryan gives great tips and spotted where I needed to work on in preparation for the test. Fantastic experience: When I started learning with Ryan I was completely new to driving. From lesson number one right up until passing my test, his method of teaching is spot on. He delivers his lessons to a very high standard. When finding things difficult, I found he would simply tailor his teaching to me and if I still didn't get it, teach me another way. Ryan is certainly very good at helping you build your confidence and knows what he's talking about. In terms of booking lessons, a VERY reliable instructor - never once had a problem. You'll be driving like a pro in no time.

He was always calm and positive – and I felt that he explained everything very clearly, without overloading me with information. He really boosted my confidence, and was really quick at spotting my strengths and weaknesses. Due to his wonderful teaching skills, I knew exactly what to expect for the driving test – I couldn’t have been better prepared. Fantastic experience: I contacted the TDSM having decided to finally learn to drive in my early forties. My only previous experience behind the wheel of a car was driving my brother's Ford Capri a short distance down a road sometime in the 1980s! I was also unsure if I could learn without a vehicle at home to practice in but from my very first lesson with Ryan of TDSM I was put at my ease. With Ryan's tuition I passed my test first time after 36 lessons! I would recommend TDSM to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Excellent Driving Instructor - fair prices - modern car. Having had previous experience driving outside the UK, Ryan specifically prepared me for those traffic situations that are UK-specific such as: (double) mini-roundabouts, different roadlayouts, rules on signaling etc. He was also very knowledgeable on the possible test routes and he pointed out the places on those were I had to be specifially careful durring my test. Highly recommended !

Fantastic experience: Having Ryan as my instructor was a great joy and I would recommend anyone who whats to learn how to drive to have Ryan as there instructor. Ryan teaching skills are excellent and the one thing I like about Ryan is that he takes his time teaching you and helping you to develop your driving skills. Also he is very flexible with his time. Fantastic experience: Good Instructor, know's exactly what he is talking about and will guide you through the whole process from start to finish. It's worth the money. I passed both theory and practical first time and TDSM contributed towards that. The instructor has the answers to the questions you need answering without having to consult the manual. He is supportive and has a unique constructive way of making you understand and teaching you the terminology relating to the test. Not only did he give me essential information about my theory test he also encouraged me to go for my test which i passed with only 4 lessons with TDSM.

Fantastic experience: I strongly recommend RYAN as a driving instructor if you want to have an adventure during your driving lessons. He doesn't make you feel stupid or don't know anything. I only had 5 lessons with him and he helped me pass my driving test. During test, he his calm with you, teaches you well, if you don't understand he will go over it, make sure you ACTUALLY understand before he moves on unlike some instructor that THINKS you understand. HE gives a mock test as well, to see your strength and weakness and he correct them for you. RYAN see the positive in people, he sees the GOOD driver in you not the BAD. He gives you confidence even when your doubting yourself at times. I strongly Recommend TDSM/RYAN as your driving instructor you will have a great time, he laughs, chit chat, and have banters while your doing your driving lesson which will make you feel at ease. HE HIS BRILLIANT. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU USE RYAN/TDSM

Fantastic experience: Driving with TDSM and having Ryan as an instructor was the best experience has he got me up and ready for my draving test which I passed FIRST TIME! Ryan is great and an excellent instructor, very easy to talk to and have a laugh with. Definitely recommended !!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I have just passed my exam today with only 20 hrs driving (1st time pass) with Ryan who is great person and excellent instructor, very patients and reliable. He has excellent knowledge of test routes and makes you aware and understand common driving faults so on the test you feel like a confident driver. Ryan understand my mistakes and let me learn from them, he did not scream or shout at me like other instructors if you do something wrong. Thank you once again for helping me learn how to drive safely and effectively on roads. Lessons are not cheap but money well spent HIGHLY RECOMMENDED & BRILLIANT
