He’s an excellent instructor—patient, encouraging, and supportive, which is exactly what nervous learners need. Talib was always punctual, consistently arriving at least 10 minutes before each lesson. You can really tell he’s passionate about teaching, and it’s clear he genuinely cares about his students’ success, not just the pay. He goes the extra mile to ensure you understand everything, even if it means taking a bit of extra time after the lesson. I highly recommend booking with him!

Negative experience: This is the worst ever school one can think of. I hired their instructor 'Rizwan Shah.' He is the most rude, angry and have worst ever attitude one can think of. He shouted multiple times and despite having the date and time noted with him for practical test denied to show on the test date. Took all of the money on time, but didn't delivered what he was hired for. I reported him on their Facebook and Instagram accounts but instead of accepting or even denying my allegations they blocked me. Simply waste of time and money. No value for anything. Please make sure to avoid these people. Thanks

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t recommend enough! I began taking driving lessons with Nas a couple of months ago and passed my driving test first time round last week. Nas supported me every step of the way helping me gain the necessary skills and knowledge to pass my driving test. He allowed me to blossom into a confident, safe and efficient driver in a small amount of time. The lessons were very flexible and easy to fit around my university schedule, and Nas was an incredibly patient and supportive teacher. Great service, 10/10!

Negative experience: Had 2 driving instructors either not show up or not contact me again because they didn't want to do the introductory offer rate. Waste of my time! Why bother offering a discount if the company doesn't give the drivers the difference and then no one wants to do it? I would rather pay full price elsewhere than wait another month for another no show instructor.

Fantastic experience: Kevin Hopps was a great, easy-going and patient instructor. Lessons were always enjoyable, constructive and I looked forward to every one! I wasn't always confident, but Kev took his time to cover the aspects of driving I struggled with, putting appropriate faith in my ability, he was never controlling. I am going to miss his lessons for now but hope to return for motorway lessons with him at some stage! Thanks Kev!

Positive experience: Enjoyed my time whilst learning to drive with Amaar and I my theory and practical both first time, so was satisfied.

Negative experience: I had Dave Singh as my instructor - very rude, controlling, always trying to make you feel bad about yourself and taking the confidence away. I’m sure there are other better instructors working in the same driving school, but avoid him at all cost. Waste of time and money!

Fantastic experience: I loved my instructor amar. He kept me stressed free during all lessons. He made sure I checked everything properly. He has great conversations. He treated me more as a friend as oppose to a student. If you are in derby definitely look up amar. Best instructor yet.

Fantastic experience: I passed my test first time using this driving school and I just want to say a massive thank you to my instructor Kevin Hopps. After having a bad experience with driving Kev was able to rebuild my confidence and make me believe I could drive again. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher, Kev was calm, friendly, supportive and made lessons enjoyable. I never had any problem booking in lessons and Kev was always flexible and reliable which was great as I work full time. Thanks again Kev! :)

Negative experience: Just make sure you do not book and get Steve beech if you are female. Highly inappropriate actions by the man and not the first time it seems. Even other female driving instructors avoid him due to his inappropriate advances. Be warned.

Fantastic experience: I had a really difficult time finding an automatic instructor covering my area, initially I had enquired and none were available at the time but a couple of months later (once I had given up) I received a voicemail saying that one had become available if I'm still interested. I found the service very professional and my instructor Tahir was excellent very professional and attentive to every detail. I passed first time and am very happy!!

Negative experience: AVOID THIS PLACE. Awful company that takes advantage of people. Told my allocated driver I had anxiety and was nervous for my first lesson and I was disregarded, wasn't reassured or told that would be taken into consideration. He then proceeded to abuse another driver when they parked near us on my first lesson which caused me to feel even more anxious and extremely intimidated, especially as he started the lesson by talking about injuries and death in cars. Wasn't told proper instructions on getting into car such as checking both blind spots (which could cause me to fail on my test.) I prepaid 10 lessons and was told on the contract I could not get my money back under any circumstances if I wanted to cancel them. Driving instructor completely wasted my time: First of all, I was told I would only be allowed to take two hour lessons at once as I 'lived too far from the test centre' and then forced me to drive the same route for ten lessons, so he'd drive to the location and it wasn't until half past the hour that I would get into the driver's seat EVERY lesson. He didn't allow me to stop the vehicle, always took control of the pedals so I didn't have independence driving. Driving instructor also made inappropriate comments and would often pull the car up to tell me stories. Laughed at me when I said I didn't understand the clutch even though it hadn't been properly explained to me. Worst of all was that I tried to complain about all of this and I was told my comments would be passed on rather than taking any action. This may not apply to other regional franchises, my experience was from the Leicester branch.

Negative experience: Although this company has good prices it shows with the lessons. Had a driving instructor, Kevin Hopps, who decided to randomly drop me a month before my test via text. Not only was it a month before my test but I had 4/5 lessons booked in the following weeks. The company has no other available driving instructors, meaning I have to find a new school a month before my test, completely unhelpful. Additionally, Kevin's car is 5 minutes fast meaning you'll always finish your lessons early. This seems fine until it happens every lesson and you're actually missing out on another 2/3 lessons. Also, Kevin Hopps, seems to enjoy complaining about his other students and his job for alot of his lessons, which I also found quite unprofessional. Would avoid this company/driving instructor at all costs.

Liam helped build my confidence with driving a manual car and helped pass my test first time around with just a few lessons. Negative experience: UPDATED /// AVOID AVOID AVOID. A lot to say about this driving school. And it's not anything good unfortunately. Driving instructor was obnoxious and didn't make me feel comfortable in the car. In terms of his teaching ability he was only just short of useless in my honest opinion, teaching me about 4 lessons worth of material over the space of 16 lessons, making a conscious effort to needlessly stretch it out and make excuses as to why I couldn't move on just yet. Had a habit of asking irritating questions as opposed to just informing me of the relevant and answer and thus teaching me the content, which just made me more frustrated and feel like even more of my time was being wasted. Regularly finished lessons 5 minutes early, over the amount of lessons I did it adds up to about 40 minutes or so, which is almost a full session. Spent a lot more time on his phone than I felt was acceptable. This would be excusable if it wasn't it wasn't in addition to the other issues because it ultimately just makes all the aforementioned problems seem even worse. Ended up just not responding to his texts (he only sent me two, clearly not that bothered because he's milked me for all the money he cares about) because the feeling of being messed about/clearly being taken advantage of was infuriating and has just demotivated me completely. As it stands I won't be able to resume lessons (with another driving school of course) until next year. Huge waste of over £300 and also my time, which I could have spent dedicated to more productive things. If I could give 0 star reviews on Google I would, because this school honestly deserves it based on my own experience. So I enquired recently in regards to some lessons I had still paid for with this driving school, as to whether or not I was still entitled to those lessons, or whether or not I could get a refund. I also explained the nature of the situation as to why I was making this enquiry (my terrible experience etc.) and was given a fairly pathetic answer. Apparently I'm not entitled to a refund because it's been 6 months since I had contact with my driving instructor. The person on the phone made no attempt to address the context of scenario and seem rather callous in regards to it all. Not only is this a fairly abritrary duration of time, it's not even stated anywhere on the website (at least not that I can find. If it is, it isn't in a sensible place, such as their terms and conditions, or the price list for their lessons on offer). It's also worth noting the lessons I wanted a refund for should not have even been offered to me in the first place. I originally booked out 6 lessons for £59, 3 would be regular lessons, 3 would be reserved for use before my test date. These were the first type of lesson I was offered upon stepping in to the car with my driving instructor. On the website however, it states this: "6 Lessons for £59 3 hours taken at the beginning of tuition and the other 3 are saved towards the practical test date. Pupils must take at least 10 lessons in total to qualify for this offer". Apparently it's proffessional for their driving instructors not to be aware of what offers they should and shouldn't be offering, and then I can't even get a refund for being sold something I shoudln't even be able to purchase, based on what they've put on their website! An absolute joke of a business and would advise it is completely avoided 100%. Still miffed I can't give 0 or negative stars on Google Reviews yet. EDIT: Five years later, but I'm still going to add this ammendment regardless. Recently I became aware that using your phone whilst superivising a learner driver is actually illegal and was also illegal at the time I was using the instructor mentioned in this review. So not only is he incompetent and insufferable but he's also a criminal.

Fantastic experience: Carol, my driving instructor, was an incredibly kind, patient and informative instructor who encouraged me throughout my driving experience to become a more confident driver. I had had a few lessons before being taught by her and she was able to iron out the habits I'd picked up before learning with her to improve my driving, and gave different perspectives on driving manoeuvres that ultimately improved my performance, understanding and driving ability. The lessons were easy going, easy to organise through text message, and we were able to adjust each lesson to focus on specific points to improve on. She put me at ease in every session; she is lovely to talk to, listens well and answers any questions in detail as well as offers support and encouragement in preparation for the test. I am very pleased with my experience learning with her and wish her the best with future pupils. No doubt they will enjoy learning with her as much as I have. :)

I couldn't have asked for a better instructer and I definitely would not have passed without his help. Fantastic experience: I learnt in Leicester and my instructor was Prabhat Chauhan. He was very patient with me , I was a nervous driver at first and have had previous intructors but he was by far the best ! If I was ever struggling on something when the hour was up he would keep the lesson going (free of charge ) until I felt happy with it ! He is completely dedicated . Would recommend him to anyone !

Negative experience: 1. He was 15 minutes late - after changing the time to suit him. 2. Wished to apply his own style of driving to my own. I have taken 25 lessons with a retired policeman, and he wished to change everything about my driving - from seat position, to mirror position, and what not (!). 3. Obnoxious. 4. Didn't let me drive the car. Prevented me from showing what I know, made me self conscious and was critical of everything I did. Which is acceptable under normal circumstances, but this was ridiculous.
