Fantastic experience: Sue was absolutely brilliant! She was so understanding of my anxiety issues and helped me manage to fix mistakes i was making in a short amount of time before my test. She puts her whole life into her work and it shows, she knows everything and uses it perfectly to teach. I would recommend her to anyone needing a driving instructor! ☺️

Fantastic experience: A very long due review. I must say, it’s terrible of me not doing this sooner. Two years ago, I was an international driver’s license holder desperately trying to get some classes for UK full drivers license. Unfortunately, Toads couldn’t accommodate me in their schedule as I needed classes most urgently, which I totally understand. However, the kind lady from Toads School of Driving, personally took time to talk to me about the requirements of taking my own vehicle to the test centre which I wasn’t aware of. This kind gesture has marked its weight in my life and of course, helped me pass my practical test. What a wonderful lady! I’m forever grateful.

Fantastic experience: Sue has been such a good instructor for my daughter by really helping her to gain confidence in herself and her driving abilities. Each lesson Sue would put her at ease and really focus on what needed to be done not just in order to ‘pass the test’ but to gain important life skills and become a safe driver. Fantastic experience: Sue was the absolute best instructor I could have hoped for. Sue was the only instructor that got back to me quickly and who didn't fob me off or expect me to go miles away to get picked up, and she made room for me in a busy schedule. And I am so glad Sue was the instructor I ended up with. Sue is the most dedicated instructor you could hope for. She will not just train you to pass your test, but will really teach you to drive, and will adapt her methods to suit your way of learning. I had driven a bit in an automatic, for example, so she taught me in those terms and led me to unlearn habits of automatic driving without me even noticing she was doing so. She keeps her cool and is a constant calming presence even if you feel like panicking. She will be truthful about when she thinks you're ready to take your test; she's not going to drag it out or try to get you in before you're ready. She's always doing more to become a better instructor, even though she's already the best, and she cares so much about her job and her students. I can't recommend her enough. If you get on her schedule, you'll be lucky.

Fantastic experience: Where do I even start! Sue was the best driving instructor I could ever have asked for, she has genuinely changed me as a person. Before I started lessons with Sue I had a bit of a bumpy ride with my driving experience, and had a test booked, but was definitely no way near being ready for it. She was more than happy to take me on at quite short notice, and she straight away made me feel so at ease and that she actually cared and wanted to help me. I did have to reschedule my test, and push it back, but it was so worth it to pass first time, as confident as I have ever felt, and so calm. It was Sue who helped me get here, and I am so so grateful for her and all her experience, she is an incredible teacher and person :) Would absolutely recommend Sue to anyone, she is so understanding and patient, and just wants you to be the safest driver you can be. Fantastic experience: Sue was a lovely instructor who was very sympathetic and helped me at all times! she always answered my questions and i never found myself feeling unsafe in the car since she always helped out and helped me understand what to do in new situations. i cannot recommend her enough, and having a common interest in horses meant we got along super easily and she was flexible with what to do and where to go so that i had the best possible understanding. i passed first time and felt continuously supported by sue!

Fantastic experience: Sue was recommended to me for my son. He’d been learning to drive on and off for quite some time but fell apart when thinking about taking his test. She built rapport with him (and me) very quickly, and identified ways to help him fill in the gaps caused by his need to think deeply and analytically. Although it’s fantastic that he passed his test, we’re missing our weekly pearls of wisdom from Sue! I feel confident that he’s been given every tool possible to be a safe, competent driver and I cannot wait for my next child to learn with Toad…

Fantastic experience: I recently passed my driving test first time after learning with Sue and could not have done it without her patience, expertise and encouragement along the way! Sue is an expert instructor who will work endlessly to ensure you are not only prepared for the test itself, but prepared to deal with anything on the roads confidently and independently. Her wide range of teaching resources, particularly the use of the iPad, and detailed lesson feedback & planning helped to develop my understanding of the roads along the way, transforming me from a nervous and hesitant driver into one that now drives with well-rounded knowledge and confidence. Alongside planning our lessons to ensure we covered all sorts of situations and road conditions, Sue went above and beyond to help me feel ready for the driving test, from organising mock tests with other driving instructors to breaking down the course of events on the day to help it all feel a bit less daunting. She has been a joy to be in the car with and I will miss our lessons!

Fantastic experience: Sue is truly a one of a kind driving instructor, I wouldn’t have been able to become such a safe and aware driver without her help! Sue is very knowledgeable and kind, I always felt understood in our lessons, even when I had a question I thought was silly. Fantastic experience: Before Sue I had 4 different driving instructors and failed 3 automatic driving tests, I completely lost my confidence and faith with driving. Sue took me on and made it her mission to help me pass. Fast forward 8 months and I have passed in a manual car all thanks to Sue. Fantastic experience: Having taken my theory test 3 times and failed I decided to contact sue and asked for help, armed with the 1000 question mock theory test papers, we worked through them know your traffic signs and the Highway Code, which had given me a much better understanding of why the theory test is so important for me to be able to drive safely for the rest of my life giving me understanding and my knowledge, I would encourage anyone not just to see the theory test as a stepping stone to booming your driving test, because in order to drive a car you need to learn your road markings and road signs, in the absence of a passenger giving you directions and decisions you need to be confident enough to make your own choices. Fantastic experience: I can’t thank Sue enough for everything she has done. From my first lesson to driving to my test I’ve enjoyed every moment of learning to drive with Sue teaching me. Sue helped me build my confidence and make me feel completely safe while learning to drive, no matter where I was driving. Something that really helped was that Sue didn’t just take me on test routes she took me all over the place, building my confidence when driving in new places. It definitely helped when it came to my test as I had experienced all manner of things while driving on different roads. Roads of which weren’t 20mph in the middle of Cambridge. When it eventually came to the day of my test my nerves were obvious but that’s natural especially as it’s such a important thing. Passing was one of the best feelings. People have a mindset that test examiners are mean and scary but that couldn’t be further from the truth, if you go into it with the mindset that it’s just a normal passenger giving you directions there is nothing to worry about. Sue helped me so much and I can’t thank her enough.

Fantastic experience: I am absolutely over the moon that I am now able to drive after passing my test a couple of days ago, thanks to the help and support of the lovely Sue. From the very start and throughout my journey, Sue has been calm, patient and understanding. Fantastic experience: am so glad that I chose Toads School of Driving to do my B&E licence! as someone who suffers with anxiety and nerves it was important to me that I found an instructor that I clicked well with and who could give me the confidence I needed to remain calm and level headed. Sue was amazing, we clicked straight away! she taught me at my pace and was full of knowledge and reassurance (which I needed alot of!) I lost my head on a few occasions on the morning of my test but Sue got me through it and I even managed to pass it first time!! I would highly recommend Sue to anyone, she really is one of the nicest people I have met.

Fantastic experience: Sue's trailer towing instruction is absolutely gold class. We were recommended to use her through word and mouth and i'm so happy we did. She was patient and could really see where i needed more support and help. This instruction is not out of text book, it's real support, adapted to what Sue sees someone's strengths and weaknesses are when they get behind the wheel. Two first time passes for our household with Sue!

Fantastic experience: I passed my B + E test today with many thanks to Sue. I had a assessment and practice before the test. Was feeling very confident the day before my test Sue had tought me everything I needed to know with many more tips and tricks! On the day I was very nervous but Sue managed to calm my nerves ang get me through with a first time pass. Sue is a great teacher with loads of knowledge and experience and I couldn't of done it with out her.

Fantastic experience: Sue is absolutely fantastic! She taught my son to drive 3 years ago, he passed first time and he is still a very sensible and safe driver. My daughter has just passed her test first time today with Toad School of Driving. I can't recommend Sue enough, she puts safety at the top and wants all youngsters to be safe drivers which is what all parents want for their children. Fantastic experience: Sue is so lovely and I would 100% recommend to anyone. After some previous unsuccessful tests with another crash course driving school I had little confidence left. Sue took me on board and taught me how to drive safely, at my own pace and helped me gain my confidence back on the road. Negative experience: I'm hgv driver the blonde lady I take it she the trainer. They over took me on the a421 2.30pm pulled back in no indicators then further on she pulls out one flash of a indicator an then she slows down so the lorry have to overtake her again and when I overtook her she speaded up this was the trainer not the young lady with the hat on in the passenger seat. Not a very good trainer.

Fantastic experience: Ben has been patient and supportive throughout the four weeks of classes that lead to a pass on first go. If in doubt, he is always happy to share best practices, and make sure there are enough practice until I was confident in it.

Fantastic experience: What a journey I have had with Sue, she has given me more confidence then I ever had before! Sue would never let me give up and always believed in me and I am so happy that Sue was recommended to me. There's been tears and many wobbles, but it was all so worth it in the end, to finally have that pass and how happy we was to get it! We have had many interesting experiences on our journeys, ones I will never forget and lessons learnt that i will take with me forever. Fantastic experience: We are very pleased with the dedication and empathy Sue has shown to get our daughter through her test today as a first time pass. Fantastic experience: Toad's driving school were incredibly easy to deal with. My instructor Ben, was incredibly patient, explained things in a way which i understood easily and flexible around my working hours. All in all it was an incredibly seamless and easy experience.

I had never had any experience so was apprehensive but Sue quickly reassured me. The lessons were great and always managed to fit me in despite being very busy. I took an intensive trailer training course with Sue and passed first time. Fantastic experience: I went to Sue after having two pretty dreadful attempts at my BE test with someone else. So bad i'd never even made to out of the test centre! So with shattered confidence and lots of tears Sue took me under her wing and helped restore my confidence and get me the Pass i wanted. Now I can look forward to safely and independently towing my horse around! Sue is a kind and supportive instructor with so much knowledge of the road and how to get you through your test! Negative experience: I really believed in sue to get me through passing my test. I’ve had so many let downs before and this was my final try. I put my grandads money he left me into this in hopes that would give me the push I needed. Sue was lovely and really made me comfortable, I thought I was getting somewhere. But suddenly I just got a message saying she couldn’t do it anymore, it didn’t make sense to me. She had rang me and promised she would get me through this if I put the effort in (which I did) and she just shattered my hopes over one text. I cried for weeks and felt sick about the fact I don’t have my grandads money anymore, I can’t exactly get anymore. It broke my heart even more when I saw her driving around with other students. I truely was gutted and still am to this day. So if you’re a sensitive person and/or have mental health issues I’d go to someone else.

Fantastic experience: These few months of driving with sue have been the best and most achieving in so long after feeling unconfident with my driving due to past experiences but after learning with sue she's taught me to be a better driver then I could ever had imagined and I can't mention how happy I am that I failed my first test with my old instructor, because I would never have got to learn with Sue and experience some of the best Instructing, Bants and Emergency stops in my life.

Fantastic experience: Sue is an incredible teacher. After having over 30hrs of lessons with another driving instructor I was still a bag of nerves and didn’t feel at all confident behind the wheel and failing a test I was at rock bottom and about to give up on the idea of driving but someone suggested to give Toad a ring. It was the best decision I could have made the driving lessons are night and day compared to my previous instructor and I wished my first experience of driving was with Sue, straight away she put me at ease and opened up a dialogue where I could explain my fears and bits that scared me on the road. Sue was understanding and began to break down all my fears bit by bit so as not to overwhelm me but to build me up. Sue is innovative in her technique and really crafts her lessons to help you progress we have gone on foot to walk around difficult junctions to get a better look from different angles and understanding the flow of traffic. My favourite so far has been her sound machine that gives you a sound effect to keep you on track with how well you're doing on observations and it sounds nutty but it really works and its fun.

Fantastic experience: I'm going to start this by saying I'm far from an easy person to deal with all the time. Especially when your trying to teach me something. I had been a naughty boy and covered many miles with out a licence. Sue did not judge only used that experience to build and teach me to not pass my test but drive a standard she knew I would be safe to be let loose legally! Her teaching methods vary and she will use them in which ever way she can to make you feel comfortable and build on not only your ability but your confidence in your ability to do it. Just be polite and listen you will be away! I'm basically an anxious but hole if she can teach me she can teach you! Thank you sue!!! Radio Cambridgeshire fame was a touch too haha.

Fantastic experience: I'm so greatful for all the help Sue gave me to allow me to pass my b+e trailer test first time. She provided a very personal training experience, working with my strengths and weaknesses to give me the confidence and ability to pass my test and more importantly safely tow my trailer and horse. What's more Sue is lovely and the cost is very competitive. I cannot recommend toads school of driving enough. Thank you Sue.

Fantastic experience: Sue got me through my trailer test with very minimal training, she was very patient, especially given at least fifteen years of bad habits I've picked up. her lovely and bubbly personality made her an absolute joy to spend a day and half with. we passed the test on the first attempt with minimal faults. she will be my first call for any further training i need and will recommend to anyone i know.
