Fantastic experience: Very good driving instructor, easy to talk to and get to know. Helping me well with things I struggled with whilst providing clear instructions on how to do them. He also helped me with situations outside of the test including real life situations that I could potentially get into, and how to deal with them appropriately and safely in a way, that other instructors wouldn’t have done. Would never put you into test if he didnt think you were ready and prepares you well. Enjoyed my time learning with chris very much and would 100% recommend him to anyone new to driving, amazing instructor!

Fantastic experience: I’m a 43 year old mum with 2 small children, and thought I’d never ever get my driving licence. I passed my test first time with zero faults after 23 sessions with Chris. This came as a real shock for me, but not for Chris apparently! He is an extremely knowledgable, experienced instructor with a very high teaching standard, and but also has a really great sense of humour. He was always raising the bar so my driving improved steadily and quickly, but also supported and encouraged me when I felt I was terrible and would never pass. He also made huge efforts to accommodate my difficult schedule. I’ve had a few instructors over the years and have always given up at various points, so I know Chris is exceptional in his ability to build confidence, teach me to drive (well!) and to enable me to pass my test. I thought I’d never do it! I couldn’t recommend him enough. Thank you Chris!

Fantastic experience: Chris was a brilliant instructor - patient, thorough, and engaged. Made me feel comfortable and confident very quickly, working to my pace and it never feel like lessons were being squeezed in for the sake of it. Enjoyed the whole experience and more importantly it was successful, passing first time with Chris with 2 minors, which is far more testament to his supreme work than any natural driving talent.

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend Chris as a driving instructor. Very patient and proactively identifies recurring issues, tailoring lessons around what you need to succeed whilst still allowing for introspection and input on your part. He makes it clear the progress that you are making over time and is a highly reassuring presence. His exam day routine is also a very calming approach, which helps to deal with the nerves that may surround this. I think of particular value in his approach is that he focuses on cultivating understanding rather than just teaching by rote. Because you are taught the reasoning behind road traffic laws you develop intuition and are well prepared for novel situations. You are also enabled to take an active role in your learning by being able to reflect on how you can improve yourself, which is a skill that you can continue to practice to remain a good driver going forward. If you are looking for a driving instructor you won't find one better than Chris!

Fantastic experience: Returning to driving after a 10-year gap, I was feeling anxious about the speed of the roads, joining fast moving traffic etc., so I booked a 2-hour refresher session with Chris. As well as covering the above, I also had valuable reminders and practice on how to navigate roundabouts and judge moving around parked cars. I am feeling more confident and will be a safer driver. Fantastic experience: Chris is such a kind guy and really thinks about what his pupils' specific needs are. It is clear he reflects on lessons and is very clear about what went well and what could have gone better. For example, I had issues around hesitation and Chris wasted no time in identifying that my confidence needed work, he then immediately set himself to finding routines and triggers that have helped me become a better driver. Over the last year, Chris has been incredibly fair with me and has seen me through to passing my test. I honestly cannot recommend him enough; if you are looking to learn to drive please look no further! Fantastic experience: After a lengthy period away from driving through injury then the pandemic. I felt I needed to start again. Within a week with Chris he'd given me the confidence and support to feel I could complete my driving within a few months. Once booked we then brought the test date forward. It's testament to the approach Chris has that I passed and with a low number of minors. I didn't believe in myself. But he continued to show belief. Thank you Chris for a 5* experience.

There was a bit of a waiting list but I am so pleased we waited for him. Ryan had never wanted to drive, he was all about the motorbikes but with Chris's professional approach, he soon loved being behind the wheel. He has passed with pride and confidence. Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend CJST driving school. My son transferred from a different instructor and Chris assessed where level he was at and what he needed to focus on. He was professional, reliable and very supportive. Leading up to his test, he only had lessons that were necessary. My son passed first time, and is a very confident driver. Fantastic experience: I would 100% recommend Chris to anyone around herne bay or Thanet who are learning to drive! I came to Chris after lockdown from a completely different area due to not being able to book a test in my town. After doing my research we found Chris and was so accommodating with only a month and a half until my test! Chris is very patient and will work the lesson around what you want to do, and helped me tweak some bad habits I picked up from my previous instructor. Also he taught me some extra bits about cars and driving in general that I’ll need to know later on - rather then just ticking boxes ready for test day. He also keeps track of your progress which I found really helpful which my previous instructor didn’t so I always knew what I needed to work on. I wouldn’t have passed 1st time with only 4 minors if it wasn’t for Chris. I’m thankful I ended up booking my test in herne bay as I definitely wouldn’t be as confident on the roads!

Fantastic experience: My lessons with Chris have been professional and very enjoyable, even with covid intervening he managed to get me test ready. Chris works well to design the lesson around you and get you working on what you need to focus on the most. I constantly felt like i was making improvements with him after each lesson and never felt like a lesson was wasted. I would recommend him to both new and experienced drivers as i feel he can adapt to almost anyone.

Fantastic experience: I recently booked some refresher lessons with Chris after almost 25 years of not driving a car (I lived in London during that time and had a motorbike instead). I was really nervous and felt quite overwhelmed by driving something as large as my new mini (!) but Chris helped me quickly gain confidence and gave me loads of useful tips in how to negotiate narrow and busy roads in what felt like a tank. He has a brilliant knowledge of Thanet roads and had loads of other great tips on how to drive and park well and safely. Thankfully as a licence holder I don’t have to take my test, but I’d definitely recommend Chris to anyone that does. Thanks so much again!

He doesn't just teach you how to 'pass your test', he will adeptly allow you to deal with daily-life driving situations with the confidence to approach these on your own. I struggled with a lot of anxiety coming up to my test and he was very supportive and helped me to overcome this, helping me to pass my test. As his page will say, he achieved an A grade for his exam on teaching others to drive, something only 25% of candidates achieve. Fantastic experience: I just passed my test on Wednesday thanks to the help of Chris. Excellent instructor who was very patient with me at all times and really helped to give me the confidence to drive. He helped me get all my mirror checks on point and used various methods until we found one that suited me. He is very informative and you can tell he knows his stuff. Chris is a very nice man and I would 100% recommend you use Chris to learn to drive.
