Fantastic experience: HIGHLY EFFICIENT INSTRUCTOR I'm glad I chose Anglia Driving School for the driving classes. I had experience of driving before but after my first two hour session with Robert, I was clear that I can't clear it in first attempt which was just 3 weeks ahead. But I could never imagine that an instructor can be so efficient in such a short team. In 3 two hours sessions and one hour before the test, total 7 hours, he very well notified and taught me about the mistakes I made and also explained the Do's and Dont's so effectively that every minute mistake a person could do while driving was covered and corrected by him. After every session I got more afraid but that's the thing, you're paying to clear the test not to get unrealistic image of how you drive. And that's what I got at this School, I was getting notified of every single error I made and how to avoid it. And that's what at the end is gonna help you to clear the test. During my test, I was mindful of every mistakes I did while on training and how he explained me to not repeat them. And this would actually help me become a better driver than I was before.

Fantastic experience: Robert taught my 19-year-old daughter to drive. She was keen to learn, but not very confident at the outset. His patient, methodical teaching approach worked well for her. With each lesson, her confidence grew. She enjoyed her lessons more and more as she conquered the various driving skills Robert taught her. After around 16 hours tuition with him, she was ready to practice her driving with me. I could tell immediately that she'd been well-taught. She drove safely and with a keen awareness of the road. She continued lessons with Robert and practice with me. Three weeks ago, she passed her driving test. First time! Robert, I understand, is a man of few words beyond his driving instruction. Be ready for that. However, he is clearly a very able, professional driving instructor. He has given my daughter a gift for life, and spared me the Dad-Taxi routine. Thank you, Robert.

Fantastic experience: Robert is an excellent instructor! When I started with him few months ago, I was very scared of driving and my confidence was super low. He was incredibly supportive, found the right words and helped turn my fears around. Thanks to him I passed the test with only 3 minors :)

Negative experience: Wow. AVOID, AVOID AND AVOID some more. Firstly most reviews are fake if you check on their profiles you will see that they are not verified... Secondly he is a very lousy instructor, unprepared, arrives late for lessons without a care in the world and no apology.. When you do ask him politely why he is late he says "we are all late sometimes in life". He literally GRABS the steering when you make a minor mistake. Abuses you during a motorway lesson .. continuously argues and abusive.. who does that? He is always on his phone during lessons booking his next lesson or probably writing his "I passed first time" fake reviews. You will not pass with this man... and dont dare practise motorway driving with him unless you want to die/have a serious accident! Update on Review. I am about making content about driving instructors that you should AVOID in and around SE London with videographic evidence. Will share the link in due course. I mean.... learning how to drive in year 2020-2022 is stressful enough without liars like this man!!!!

Robert is an experienced instructor with lots of tips on proper driving technique so can reach a high standard of driving - which does need some thick skin at times & lessons are more free flow (less structured), but overall it worked as I passed ! Fantastic experience: Robert helped me to pass first time, good with communicating and patience plus he was always happy to spend more time on area's I found more difficult. Lessons were always varied covering different skills for experience/exposure to different scenarios each time. I will be booking my Pass Plus session with him asap. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Robert is a very patient instructor. I can confidently say the way he teaches would equip one to drive on any road and manage any situation. I was really worried about manoeuvres and he taught quite easy techniques to learn them. The lessons could have had more structure but hey ho - it worked brilliantly and I passed my test in the first attempt. After I passed my test, I also had a motorway lesson with him recently and it was excellent as always. Thank you Robert!

Negative experience: Robert was extremely unprofessional refusing to refund lessonsi didn’t know about, poor scheduling and organisation, extremely rude to paying students who have paid a lump sum up front, absolutely no guidelines or support to passing the test

Fantastic experience: I had half a dozen refresher lessons with Robbie after not driving for many years. He is very calm and controlled in his teaching, and gave me a lot of confidence with my driving. He was very effective at pointing out areas for improvement whilst not dwelling on errors. And, most importantly, he is a really nice guy and we had a lot of fun conversations whilst learning!

Fantastic experience: I passed my test first time in less than 6 months after only 15 lessons with Robert (an hour each), so I was very pleased to save money I may have needed to spend on more lessons with a different instructor. When I wanted to move the lessons to be in my new car, Robert was very flexible to do that which allowed me to get used to driving the car I would be using after I passed my test. He is very good at explaining manoeuvres and used short, clear reminders to help me whenever I was about to make a mistake. Robert was also very flexible with the times of my lessons which was very helpful.

Negative experience: There is a reason why the only negative review here has 7 likes...that review is absolutely true, the instructor Robert came late EVERY day once even came almost 25 minutes late and (doesn't give you back your time) there is not even an attempt of an apology and when confronted said, "well there is traffic things happen" as if that's the clients fault and thats an excuse for absolutely no communication stating you will be arriving late. I asked to cancel the rest of my lessons on the 2nd day ( this was also the day he was almost 25 minutes late) and I had bought 10 hours, he refused to give me back my money as "I would lose money that way because you did block" even though policy says give 48hrs notice and stated NOTHING about that only applies when not in block, so ended up having to do the lessons anyways or lose £270 which is not right at all. Company number is his personal number so you can't even go to a higher up to deal with this nonsense. Pretty sure this is daylight robbery. If you can improve your driving whilst dealing with a rude impatient instructor this is the place for you. Extremely impatient, was not aware that I should have been a proficient driver before booking his lessons smh. He would sigh loudly if I made a mistake and/or followed by him massaging the bridge of his nose, extremely condescending and sarcastic constantly. He has you on edge and irritated with his attitude but luckily I had patience enough to persevere (extremely hard). Had to put petrol in car during lesson, when paying for DRIVING lessons I don't expect my lesson time that I'm paying for which is not cheap to be used for topping up fuel. Further more when driving he does not always gives directions so when you continue on he abruptly grabs the wheel which throws you off completely and says "did I say to go there!?" When he didn't say ANYTHING as he's preoccupied by his phone and he took a phone call to book another appointment during lesson. The negatives heavily outweighs the positives, very relieved when lessons were over. Do not be fooled by the numerous good reviews like I was, save your money and go elsewhere.

Rob is a very knowledgeable instructor who explains things in an understandable way for novices to understand. He's fair but firm so will tell you when you mess up but that's the best way to learn. Robert, my instructor, is fantastic to work with and within a few lessons I have not only completed all of the test manoeuvres but have also surpassed my previous level of driving ability. Rob is extremely easy to get on with, and we chat throughout our lessons. He is very laid back and encouraging in his teaching, and his style promotes confidence in learners like myself. He politely points out the mistakes that I do and then we both work on that. After attempting three times in manual car, I decided to go for Automatic and selected Rovert after going through the reviews here. And I am glad that I passed straightaway. The technique that he taught me for parallel parking is just spot on. Thanks Robert for all the help. I would definitely recommend him to everybody.
