Fantastic experience: Not a bad word I could say about Shak. From the first time I sat in his car I felt comfortable and like I could be myself. He asked me about any previous driving experience and asked me how I wanted my first lesson to go, whether that be baby steps or jump straight in at the deep end. From there he helped me build up my confidence and knowledge of driving on the road, which has brought us to today, where I have just passed my driving test; first time. I couldn’t have done this without Shak (obvious statement I know considering he is a driving instructor) but, I am now 28 years old and have been learning on and off for 11 years, no other instructor could do what Shak has done. It wasn’t just about teaching me how to drive for him, he actively listened to me and my life and over the past few weeks we’ve built up a rapport. Thank you Shak, I mean that with everything I have.

Fantastic experience: I have over 30hours lesson between 2 previous instructors and failed 3 attempts at 2 test centres by 2018, A.R.T School of Motoring was recommended to me by a friend and from 2018 until 2024 I have not drove or had lessons, my lessons started from May 2024, I have done 10hours on my lesson, and on the 21st August 2024 I finally came out with a pass and only 5 minors, I don't believe I could have achieved this without the upmost support and training from my Instructor Shakoor Ghani, Thankyou soo much for being apart of my learning journey and getting me to reach my potentials, I would highly recommend this company to any 1st time learner or even experienced driver who may need to refresh their driving skills. Hard work truly paid off.

Fantastic experience: SHUMI KHANOM - "The best of the best" I Initially contacted the company to arrange a small number of lessons for my carer who is used to driving in Europe but has not driven in the UK. I wanted to talk to a human rather than book through an app with little ability to get the best fit person. My enquiry was quickly dealt with and we agreed on a female instructor: one was quickly allocated and she contacted me almost immediately and the first lesson was arranged within that week. Feedback from Lucy, my carer, "she was the best of the best. She was patient, professional. Lovely, explained everything... Delighted with the whole experience.

Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test with NO FAULTS! Thanks to my instructor, Shakur. Sometimes he’s very strict and would point out every minute errors but that paid off well for me. He is nice, polite, flexible and most especially, passionate . When we got stuck in traffic on our way to test centre and I was almost going to miss my test, he made every effort to get me to the test centre and even called the centre to let them know I was running late. He is a fantastic instructor and I would recommend A.R.T driving school to anyone who not only wants to pass, but also wants to become a safe driver after passing.

Fantastic experience: So.. where can I start… I have been having Lessons for 6 months and my first examiner couldn’t deal with my anxiety I then found shak as someone suggested him to me.. he is an amazing instructor.. he explains everything so well and is very calm even in bad scenarios.. I regret not having embarked on my entire learning journey with Shak. Such a choice would have saved me a considerable amount of both time and money. Shak stands as an unrivalled gem among driving instructors. Amidst a vast sea of them, it's a hard task to unearth those genuinely committed to your learning and success. It may sound cynical, but the industry does house some who prioritize monetary gains, stretching out the number of lessons you will be taking. We've all encountered at least one such individual. Perhaps my past encounters with lacklustre instructors amplify Shak's brilliance, yet upon careful reflection since my successful test (10/08/2023 @ Kingstanding), it's evident that Shak possesses the ideal disposition, a commendable teaching style, and he is an overall exceptional character. Shak's approach is marked by a philosophical respect for the student. He doesn't talk over you; rather, he invites your input. His feedback is crystal clear, and he's receptive to the feedback you provide about the lessons. What struck me most was Shak's nonchalant demeanour. When dispensing driving tips, they are lucid and succinct. He offers a comprehensive spectrum of advice that's remarkably digestible. His approach isn't to make you feel inadequate for any slip; instead, he empathizes with learners, positioning himself as your driving confidant. Shak's support is unwavering. Teaching is an art, accessible to many but mastered by a few—Shak falls into the latter category. He exudes an ability to adapt to various individuals, regardless of their background or personality. His commitment to your success is palpable. Amidst a packed schedule, there is no room for shortcuts or prolonged instruction. Shak invests his utmost effort in each hour spent together. I passed with a single minor. The final hours of practice under Shak's guidance were so profound that he instilled a confidence within me for the test. Shak isn't just an instructor; he's an enabler of confidence, a paragon of understanding, and the epitome of laid-back composure. One can only anticipate the flourishing trajectory of his business in the years to come. One bit of advice is if you feel like you’re not getting anywhere with your instructor… find another one. He’s so calm even when u make a mistake, won’t make u feel bad however he will explain and help u understand what went wrong and how to fix it. He’s always reassuring you, helps you gain ur confidence in driving. He is very good at explaining things that you don’t understand until you can understand it and feel confident with it. Negative experience: Shak was my first driving instructor. During my first lesson, he was very impatient (he shouted at me several times because I made reasonable mistakes - I am an educator and I'd never do this to my students). I swept that under the rug. My 2nd lesson was okay. From there onwards, he cancelled on me 4 times, he literally cancelled 1 or 2 hours before the session. He was unreliable and unprofessional. My experience with him was a waste of time, money and my precious energy. If you book him please bear in mind that you could be disappointed as he will be unable to deliver.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Shak and his driving school! Very nice, patient and responsible. Passed my driving test after just 10 lessons with him! I would say if one wants to pass the practical test, driving skill accounts for 80% and the rest 20% is the luck on the test day. With Shak, you would definitely obtain all the skills and knowledge and gain that 80%. However, believe me, the confidence you build up with Shak would help you to earn 20%+ luck on the test day.

Fantastic experience: I was nervous about starting lessons at 33 but thoroughly enjoyed them.. Shak was brilliant and I built up confidence quickly. I passed on my first go. Thank you, Shak! I would 100% recommend him. He completely turned things around for me. I quickly regained confidence and felt relaxed. He helped me to lean on my strengths and stress less about my weaknesses. He had good judgement of how many hours of driving lessons I would need and Shak was right, i passed in just 4 months.

Fantastic experience: I can’t express how grateful I am to Shak for all of his help. After a bad experience with a previous driving instructor, I had lost a lot of confidence with my driving. Shak is patient, flexible and knowledgeable and I always felt at ease while learning with him. Fantastic experience: I used to be a very nervous learner. Shakoor took time and a lot of patience to mould me into a confident but safe driver I am today. The way he teaches, and his explanations makes driving very simple and easy, from the first lesson with him you can see he has a passion to teach and enjoys what he does. From when you meet him you can see for yourself its never about the money with him, he’ll always be honest and direct. I could not recommend him enough.

Fantastic experience: Mr Shakoor Ghani is a very patient and dedicated driving instructor. I would definitely recommend him and the driving school to everyone. I was able to pass at the first attempt due to the help and professional lessons provided.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this driving school. I received driving lessons in 2021/2022. They were tailored to my specific needs (as someone with experience driving, but not here) and very helpful. There is no way I would’ve passed the practical without these lessons despite having decades of driving experience. The instructor was patient, well informed, and has nerves of steel (I mean, do you really want me to be the person driving you through that tunnel?). He also helped me cultivate a healthy perspective on the process and is very pleasant to talk with (you are stuck in a car together for hours, so this is important)! Thank you so much for sticking with me on this. I am *so pleased* that I passed my test and can legally drive now!

He really built up my confidence in driving. And after two months of practicing, I have successfully passed my practical test.
