Fantastic experience: I passed my test first time all thanks to Rakesh (even though, he’ll say he didn’t do anything and it was all me). I was a very nervous student when Rakesh and I first met but throughout our weekly lessons he’s made driving feel safe, fun and something I could do with ease - if you met me a year ago, I’d confidently say driving is impossible and I don’t know how anyone does it. Rakesh is patient, kind, encouraging and truly has an incredible individual approach to each of his students. He takes things at your pace but also gives you a gentle push where needed. What I loved most about his philosophy is that he teaches you to drive, not to pass your test. The test is just a tick in the journey. That’s what really filled me with confidence when the test date came around. I knew how to drive! I will truly miss our lessons and fun banter each week. Rakesh, you’re a superstar! Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: I did Automatic lessons with Rakesh after having a few negative experiences with different instructors, and couldn’t recommend him more! He is very friendly and puts you at ease and really works to build your confidence. In particular I appreciated that he provided tailored feedback and would always try to explain things in different ways if they didn’t initially click. I was convinced for a while that I would never be able to pass my driving test, so to say I passed first time with two minors feels like a huge accomplishment. Thanks so much Rakesh!!

Negative experience: Please avoid Bilal as he keeps refusing to take you to the test, wasting both your time and money. He constantly says that you are not good enough. I decided to change my instructor, and I got my 1st pass driving license within one month.

Fantastic experience: I was a slightly older learner than most and had been struggling with my confidence. David was an amazing and friendly instructor who really knew what I needed from my lessons and how to teach things I’d really struggled with previously and with prior instructors. I managed to pass first time very recently, just before Christmas. I thoroughly enjoyed our lessons and couldn’t recommend David highly enough to anyone looking to start driving! Thanks David!

Fantastic experience: I was very apprehensive about learning to drive, having never driven before and leaving learning to later on in life. So I decided to take GSI's intensive course. Fantastic experience: Rakesh, thanks so much for your detailed coaching. You were consistently firm and never ignored the tiniest mistakes. At a point in time I thought you were just a perfectionist but I as took my practical test, those corrections resonated so loud , I knew before I finished it was a pass. Great job, keep it up.

Negative experience: Bilal from GSI is the worst instructor. Bilal wasted my time and Money. He used to consume lesson time for putting air in the car and going to petrol stations. Pulling at the side giving medical advice. He was giving dietary lessons more than driving lesson. Worse of all after giving advanced notice and agreeing on the test day, he refused to come for the test. Any when I told him to refund money back which he took days and I had to call him every day . Billal was my reason to discontinue GSI.Please anyone who joins this driving school please avoid Billal. He needs to start a new job as medical advisor and not driving instructor. Please requesting everyone to avoid Bilal Not worth it.

Fantastic experience: I decided to do the intensive course with GSI earlier this month as I wanted to learn quickly and because GSI was recommended by my friends and family. David was such a patient instructor who made me feel comfortable immediately, his knowledge is second to none and his advice was both informative yet concise and clear. I went from not stepping foot in the drivers seat of a car to passing with 3 minors after only a week of intensive learning. It was the best decision I’ve ever made, I couldn’t be happier and that’s all thanks to David and GSI. If you are thinking an intensive course might be for you, just go and do it, you honestly won’t regret it! Thank you again for all your help David.

Fantastic experience: I passed my practical driving test with only 2 minors after being tutored by Rakesh. I had been unsuccessful at the practical test previously and was understandably nervous. Rakesh is an excellent tutor and held my hands throughout the lessons till the test day. He is very thorough and his standards are high. I am glad I had him as my driving instructor and would recommend him again and again. Thank you Rakesh!

Fantastic experience: All the reviews about how much of an amazing driving instructor Rakesh is, are true.. I really lacked confidence in my driving after previously failing a test with a different instructor. Rakesh built me up, gave me all the knowledge and tools I needed to get to test standard. The skills he taught me I will always remember. He really cares about his pupils and wants you to succeed not just in driving, but in life! Our lessons were also super fun, and always such a laugh. Negative experience: Can confirm that David is every bit as nasty as everyone says he is. He literally screamed in my ear the very first lesson, and then said "I can see you're nervous", I think anyone would be nervous if you had someone scream in your ear whilst driving. This is just the beginning... all he did was talk about himself repeating the same stuff like a broken record "I have driven over 1.2 million miles, I have been teaching for over 24 years, you're probably the 4000th person I've taught...", not sure why you need to pitch yourself constantly when we have already paid for your lessons, that's like telling someone to believe in God more as a Christian. He would also cut lessons short by 30 - 45 minutes, each minute with him was truly an agonizing experience. He may be a knowledgeable instructor. But he's insufferable to be around.

Negative experience: Bilal from GSI is the worst instructor. He wasted my wife's driving lessons. As mentioned or reported by multiple customers in the review section he used to consume lesson time for putting air in the car and going to petrol stations (same happend to us).Worse of all after giving advance notice (and agreeing on the test day) he refused to come for the test. Billal was our reason to discontinue GSI.We are still struggling to find an alternative day for the test .Please anyone who joins this driving school please avoid Billal.

Fantastic experience: Rakesh is a fantastic instructor and helped me immensely in gaining confidence in driving an automatic vehicle after not driving for years. He teaches in a friendly and clear way, and I enjoy learning and improving my driving skills with him. He also goes above and beyond and not only teaches driving skills but also useful knowledges about cars and motoring in general, and making sure we are learning at a comfortable pace.

Negative experience: Bilal from gsi driving school is the worse instructor i’ve ever had. He wasted my time by going on the phone on my first ever lesson and taking a 10-15 minute phone call, He continuously wasted my time by either arriving late or ending lessons early and he’s also very condescending avoid him. Would give 0 stars but cant

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with Bilal from GSI, very unprofessional. Wasted a lot of my sons time and my money, including spending 27 minutes of my sons driving lesson sorting his car out and putting air in his tyres and did not add any additional time onto my sons lesson. I was willing to let this go as it’s so difficult to find an instructor. My son had 8 lessons with him on consecutive weeks and was perfectly happy to wait for Bilal to return from his holiday and resume his lessons. However, when my son went on holiday for 1 week, which he informed him about beforehand, Bilal went completely off the radar, we texted him numerous times and was just told I’ll contact you when I’m next free and he was too busy. We then realised he had given my sons weekly slot to another student. Bilal’s response when I questioned him was, ‘well this is business’. I contacted GSI and told them and asked if they had another instructor but didn’t even get a response. Very unprofessional organisation, if you value your time and money do not use them.

Fantastic experience: Where do I start, not only is Rakesh professional in his approach to learning he is also understanding and great at adapting to his clients. He has done an amazing job for our daughter not only getting her to pass first time, but also coaching and guiding her through some tough times. Fantastic experience: Well what can I say about Rakesh, he has been an absolute star teaching my son to drive. Oliver had a couple of instructors prior to Rakesh and it has been a real breath of fresh air having the support and guidance from a very professional instructor. Fantastic experience: I did Couple of Lessons with Mick. I had been with two previous instructors. He knew what I needed to do in my driving, to build my confidence on the road. I've now got a pass all thanks to him !All round a very intelligent chap. I highly recommend getting in a learner car with him.

Negative experience: I found my experience with David Gubbins very underwhelming. He lacked enthusiasm and was often late to lesson, would also cut lesson short 5-10 mins. He was also late to a test day and would cancel and change appointments last minute, the man is very disorganised. I’m not sure about any other instructors under this company but seeing as David is the owner and how unreliable he was, I would avoid this altogether. I changed to the AA and had a way better experience.

Fantastic experience: I started learning to drive with Rakesh in March and I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. I felt comfortable and supported at every stage, which turned out to be particularly important as I found out I was pregnant a few weeks before our lessons started. He was always encouraging and has a gift for delivering constructive feedback that somehow builds rather than knocks your confidence, which I thought was especially impressive given the mess of hormones I was at times. I’m pleased to say that I passed first time with no faults at 36 weeks pregnant. It wasn’t really the plan to leave it that late and I think I was ready sooner, so my advice is to believe Rakesh when he estimates when you’ll be ready and don’t delay booking your test - he knows what he’s talking about! I’ve since had a lesson with him on motorways, which I think was well worth doing too, and I expect I’ll be back for a couple more sometime after baby arrives to further build my confidence.

Fantastic experience: I passed first time with 2 minors, highly recommend Andy, he was great, if you're learning with Andy you can feel confident you'll be taught properly as he's one of the best out there.

Fantastic experience: The best driving instructor I’ve had! When covid hit, it delayed my driving journey, meaning I had very inconsistent lessons and getting back to driving each time was challenging so I had to find the best instructor. Having failed my driving test 2 times prior, I was desperate to find a suitable instructor to help me. My sister had recently passed after a short time so I thought I’d give Rakesh a try. The best decision I’ve ever made. I only had 10 hours with him but it was the best money ever spent. He was incredibly helpful, and helped me feel more confident with my driving to the point where my family had seen a completely different driver behind the wheel. Every time he gave me feedback, he was always detailed in his examination and wasn’t afraid to tell me where I’m going wrong. He made sure I was ready for my driving test, if he thinks you’re fully ready then your confidence will sky rocket. If you want a friendly, funny, yet very professional instructor, I couldn’t recommend Rakesh enough!!!

Fantastic experience: I was trained by Rakesh for my automatic car test in July 2022. I work in nhs which needs me to travel daily. I was therefore desperate for the license. Overall, I had 12 hours classes with rakesh. He is very professional and gets to the root of your driving technique- technically and psychologically as well, to rectify it! He keeps himself up to date and is available in anytime for your doubts other than office timings! I cleared the driving test with one minor. I'm indeed happy to recommend rakesh to anyone looking forward to their driving test. Wish you all the best!

Fantastic experience: It wasn’t until i had found Rakesh when I learnt to drive not only confidently but safely as well. After failing my first test with my previous instructor, I needed to look for another instructor. That is when I stumbled upon Rakesh, who I can confidently say is one of the best driving instructor’s out there. He cares about his students immensely and makes sure that what he teaches remains useful for during and after you’ve passed your test. I had a lot of anxiety when it came to driving and Rakesh helped calm my nerves down and was supportive and attentive whenever I expressed any concerns or doubts. Evidently, Rakesh has helped me pass my second attempt and I couldn’t be more content with his teaching. I will always remember whenever I doubted myself , Rakesh would say “you deserve the best” and would always encourage me to learn from my mistakes rather than dwell on them. He made me feel comfortable and self assured and I’ll definitely miss those driving lessons. I highly recommend him!

Fantastic experience: My daughter was badly let down by a previous instructor at another school who bashed her confidence and then ditched her after she failed her first test. Rakesh took over at short notice, rebuilt her confidence, corrected the bad habits she’d learned from the previous instructor and helped her sail through her test. He exudes confidence and professionalism and has a real interest not just in getting pupils through their test, but in helping them face and overcome challenges. My only regret is not using GSI from Day 1.

Fantastic experience: !Reliable and will be recommending to everyone I know! Oh gosh, where to begin. I had the absolute pleasure of getting Rakesh as my driving instructor and I can’t even begin to describe how perfect he was. In my first lesson with him, he was very detailed with the basics of driving and really allowed me to build a solid foundation for driving safely - always patient and reassuring that no question is too stupid to ask. I felt completely comfortable with Rakesh from the very beginning and the whole experience was just such a joy. With practically no driving experience prior, I passed my driving test first time, with 22 hours of lessons, and with only 1 minor!! If that isn’t a true testament to how good Rakesh is as a teacher, then I don’t know what else will convince you. All in all, highly recommend and you really get what you pay for! Side note, Rakesh also gives the best advice haha - not just with driving, but also in life.

Fantastic experience: I passed first time round and with three minors, all thanks to the wonderful Rakesh (auto)! When I first spoke to Rakesh on the phone I knew instantly that he had my best interests at heart and over the course of time he understood my learning process, strengths and was able to pinpoint the areas I needed to work on. He’s motivational, patient, knowledgeable as well as caring and full of positivity. He’s a teacher who is very passionate about the job, relatable and trustworthy. Fantastic experience: My driving instructor (David) was a superb teacher. He would always point out my errors and helped me sort all of them out, leading to me passing my test first time. I feel the level of professionalism was higher than other choices. Would recommend this driving school to new learners.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Rakesh. He has taught my daughter to drive but also built up her confidence in herself. He is full of encouragement and wisdom. He is both professional and fun. My daughter passed first time. He is now teaching my younger daughter and will in turn teach my son! I am so impressed and would recommend him highly! Fantastic experience: I strongly recommend Rakesh (auto) as your instructor! He was very professional, funny and had a genuine passion to make sure all his pupils passed to a high standard! He puts your nerves at ease and goes above and beyond to help you in any way he can! Was extremely flexible with changing dates and times for me. Lessons were fun and engaging. Passed my Test first time today with 6 minors, thanks to his incredible teaching which is straight to the point and easy to learn. I can't thank Rakesh enough for all his help and support ! Fantastic experience: I had David as my driving instructor and I passed first time with one minor fault! I had about 26 hours of lessons with him and he would always ask me at the beginning of a lesson what I wanted to cover rather than just following a script which I found really helpful. Whenever I got a maneover wrong he would help me correct it and not just move on and ignore it. Would definitely recommend GSI!

Fantastic experience: I had lessons with Rakesh who I found to be a brilliant instructor I was extremely nervous with no experience at all and he helped me pass in quite a short amount of time I had spoken to an instructor before I found Rakesh and I was told there’s no way I could pass in the time frame I’d set myself as I was trying to get it done before my baby arrived but Rakesh helped me gain my confidence telling me I can do it when I was struggling and laughing with me when I messed up rather than making me feel like I was doing awful. Fantastic experience: Had David as my instructor and had 18 hours of driving with him, worth every penny spent and is very competent to teach young drivers efficiently and successfully. Passed my driving test first time due to his teaching and learnt a lot of tricks to implement into the exam taught by him. Would extremely recommend using this driving school and especially having David as your instructor as he loves to have a laugh and also teach you the fundamentals to pass your test first time!

Fantastic experience: I had some refresher lessons with Rakesh after moving to the UK from abroad and was very satisfied. He was always patient and explained everything clearly. It was exactly what I was looking for with my lessons. Also another thing I appreciated was that at some point he said he thought I was confident (but not too confident of course ;)) enough to go out on my own (instead of maintaining that I needed lots more lessons). That time coincided with when I felt I was ready too. So that was good.

He genuinely cared about our son and took personal pride in his progress. We had little doubt that it would be a first time pass and were not disappointed. Fantastic experience: WHAT A FIND! Rakesh was amazing with my daughter. His communication was fantastic and instantly put her at ease, she blossomed under his direction and fantastic explanations and knowledge. Nothing was ever too much, Rakesh helped us as parents guide her through the preparation with the test process and was always happy to answer any questions or just be on hand to help.
