Fantastic experience: I passed first time with Peter. He was absolutely superb since the day I started learning. Professional, calm presence in the car, making it really easy to get going and to deal with my initial anxieties with driving. I found the way he taught to be exceptionally clear and also really memorable. I still say some of them to myself now! The lessons are not just limited to driving a car but also how to approach parking, things to be mindful of during test and knowledge of the car components. Fantastic experience: My eldest daughter had lessons with Peter back in 2020. My youngest daughter began lessons with Louise Hicks in April 2024. She really enjoyed her lessons and quickly built up her confidence. Louise was always flexible and accommodated her college schedule. She was ready to take her test by July. After navigating the DVSA and test swaps my daughter passed her test last week (September 2024). Would highly recommend Peter and his team of instructors.

Fantastic experience: Learning to drive looks easy, but when you get behind the wheel you realise how much you have to think about, not just in terms of how you're driving, but all the many other drivers and distractions around you. Driving definitely didn't come naturally to our son! But with Peter Skelton's patience and guidance, he built up his confidence and was thrilled when he passed his test. And as parents, we also feel confident that he's grown into a safe and aware driver with the experience he needs to drive his car on his own.

Fantastic experience: I started my driving journey with Peter in Aug 2023 and I was expecting to get the license by Nov 1st week before my international license expired. Even though I knew how to drive, driving in UK was difficult owing to the stringent rules. But Peter made it easy. Not only did he teach me the driving rules in UK, but also gave me tips on how to drive efficiently and in a fuel-efficient way. On the test day, he picked me up quite early and gave some warm-up lessons to get ready for the test, which helped me a lot to clear the test on the first attempt with 4 minor faults. Our goal was to get the licence by the 1st week of Nov and we did it with 2 days to spare. For me, Peter was a lifesaver and I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to clear the driving test on their first attempt. Thank you Peter!

Fantastic experience: Peter has taught both my son and daughter to drive. My daughter has just passed her test and is over the moon. Peter did a great job of teaching them both. They were very different in their abilities, my son had a lot of practice before having lessons and only needed 6 hours of lessons before he passed. My daughter was completely new behind the wheel and needed more time and lessons but Peter’s patience and great teaching meant that she passed as soon as possible.

Fantastic experience: If you're looking for a driving school, you can't do better than this one. I started out as a very anxious student who didn't really believe I would ever get to the point of taking the test. Imagine then my joy when I passed first time with no minors! Tomasz was my instructor and he not only taught me the practicalities of driving effectively but how to overcome my fear and be confident on the roads. He was very patient and kind.

Fantastic experience: Louise was teaching me to drive since June of this year, through a horrendous rota from work on my behalf, different appointments and isolation(s) I was finally able to pass my test in November after only 28 hours of driving. Louise with easy to talk to, helpful and really informative with her driving knowledge, I know I wouldn’t have passed without her as my instructor and all the help she has given me over the last 5 months. Fantastic experience: Tomasz taught me to drive and Peter stepped in to save the day when Tomasz came down with covid two weeks before my test. Both are fantastic instructors who will teach you to drive beyond the test, so that you really are ready for the roads. Tomasz was the perfect instructor for me - patient, supportive, encouraging and understanding. He takes pride in adapting his teaching to your learning style and encouraging you to push your comfort zone just the right amount. Both Tomasz and Peter are an absolute pleasure to be taught by - relaxed, supportive and good humoured - and they succeeded in getting this 41 year old with no experience or confidence a first time pass with just two minors within 6 months of starting.

Fantastic experience: I have just passed my driving test with Peter as my instructor and I would highly recommend his driving school to anyone who wants to receive serious training in order to pass his test. It was an emergency test as I am a critical worker. On the rather short notice of 10 days before my test Peter helped me tremendously by adequately preparing me for the test. He explained all my mistakes through logic and mathematics which helped me understand them and correct them. Fantastic experience: I’ve never seen myself a driver and when I felt that the moment for a driving licence is mandatory needed to have for work propose, I was really terrified. Starting the first driving lessons when I’ve felt I have my legs like “wood sticks”, my instructor Louise gave me lots of confidence that I can do this with no problems. She was very patient even when I was doing very dangerous mistakes. Besides the fact that she is a very good driver, she is also an excellent teacher with very good communication skills. I think I couldn’t have a better instructor who could match with my style. Louise encouraged me each time and helped me a lot to pass my emotions, thing which was very important for me to get use to drive by my own decisions. I still can’t believe that I passed the test on my first attempt and I’am very grateful to Louise for her hard work with me and I highly recommend her for future learners.

Fantastic experience: We struggled to find a local instructor who could fit in around our son’s busy after college schedule, so we decided to enrol him on an intensive course of lessons during the summer holidays. Peter managed to fit all of Harry’s lessons and his test into a 2 week period and we were thrilled when Harry passed his test first time with only 2 minors!!! Initially we were a little concerned how a 17 year old would manage 4 hours of driving a day (for 6 consecutive days) but it clearly worked and Harry really enjoyed his time with Peter. We would thoroughly recommend this approach to anybody (we didn’t do any extra driving with Harry ourselves) and Peter always communicated well and was as flexible as possible scheduling lessons. Overall a stress free, enjoyable experience for all us with a brilliant end result. Thank you Peter!!

Fantastic experience: When starting the semi-intensive course, Peter made me so comfortable from the offset. After using different instructors previously, he enabled me to fully understand how to drive with confidence, which I had never felt before with any other instructor. Fantastic experience: I booked an intensive evening and weekend course with Peter, with two hour lesson slots. I wanted to do an intensive course, but I didn't want to take time off of work, so the flexibility worked really well for me. Peter is a fantastic driving instructor, I have always been nervous but Peter provided a calm environment to learn in, and also gave me just the right amount of push to get me to where I needed to be . It was important to me to feel confident and not just "fluke" my test. I booked in my test and I took all my lessons in the two weeks leading up to test day. I passed on my first test with Zero faults! Peter knew exactly what we needed to do within those two weeks to get me ready. So a huge thank you Peter!

Fantastic experience: I had about 5 lessons with Pete Burke who throughout gave me the tips I needed to pass my test first time but not only that he helped me better understand what I needed to improve on by focusing in on problematic areas. Negative experience: This is NOT a review on <<>>>> since we did not progress beyond the failed booking process. Positive: He is a qualified driving instructor (CPD) as per the DVSA website. Negative: We were unhappy with the time it took to obtain availability of timings. A response was only obtain once we posted a one star review "to do with the "booking process" only".

Fantastic experience: My neighbour recommended me to Peter Skelton, and it was the best choice I made. He is a patient teacher and adapts to your learning style. He also injects humour into our driving lessons, so that I can learn while having some laughs. It has been a great experience learning with Peter. Thank you! Fantastic experience: Before I started at Peter Skelton Driving School with Tomasz, I have had a few driving lessons with another driving school which caused me to lose all of my confidence. I thought I would never learn how to drive and then one of my friends recommended Tomasz. In my first lesson with Tomasz, I was so nervous and scared to drive but he helped me to calm down and teach me everything step by step from scratch. He is an excellent instructor, he is patient and calm. He helped me to understand the logic behind the rules by explaining them very well and with patience, he helped me to feel very confident when driving. Now I am really enjoying driving. He is a great observer as well, he didn’t miss any mistake I had done during the lessons and he also knew what I was thinking when I did the mistakes! :) I feel so lucky and happy to have had him as my instructor. Fantastic experience: Peter is such a good driving instructor very patient and understanding went with another driving school and the instructor was very impatient and put me off driving lesson Peter has now put the spring back in my step to get more driving lessons he is incredible at what he does and everyone from the Newbury area should go and drive with him

Negative experience: Can't really comment on their competence as driving instructors, simply I have tried to make contact with them on 5 occasions at different times on both numbers available and they haven't made any effort to call me back, clearly busy enough not to need my money or help me pass my driving test.

Fantastic experience: I like my driving lessons with my instructor Louise. She's very nice, friendly and patient, as all the Peter Skelton Driving School staff. At the first lesson i was a bit anxious as i was not driving before too much, and anyway, i was driving before a right hand car. Just after having a short chat with Louise i started feel more comfortable and confident. Thank you Louise!! I don't regret my choice, actually i love it:)
