Fantastic experience: Ultimate Driving massively helped me in passing my test first time. Learning to drive in my 40s proved to be challenging and driving didn't come naturally to me, so I really appreciate Richard's patience and determination to make sure I understand the basics and to equip me with all the skills I need to problem solve on the road. Richard's attention to detail meant that any issues I had were ironed out straight away; his professionalism is remarkable--he's never late for a lesson and ensures feedback notes are organised, relevant and up to date; and he is very considerate when finding time to fit my lessons around my working hours. Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Richard from Ultimate driving! I was a very nervous driver and tried in the past to learn to drive but always ended up backing out due to my nerves. Richard was able to ease my nerves but at the same time, push me to help me progress. Unlike other instructors, Richard actually teaches you how to drive, not just how to pass the test, this helped to alleviate my nerves massively! Fantastic experience: Switched to lessons with Will and automatic lessons after having a stressful time with manual lessons. He made driving a far less nerve wracking experience and I stopped dreading having to attend lessons. A combination of a laid back approach and really good explanations meant that I gained more understanding of driving tasks in 18 hours with Ultimate Driving than I feel I did with 60+ hours of manual. Will was particularly good at picking up on when I hadn't quite understood what he was saying and offering different explanations unprompted - really useful for building confidence in those with different learning styles. Fantastic experience: I had my training with Richard and it was a great experience. I had been driving with my foreign licence and had little knowledge on the approved the UK driving test requirements. Rich took me through the basic knowledge such as mirrors etc ( which i never used to do) and his approach to teaching is something that makes you remember effortlessly. Fantastic experience: I passed my Driving test today in first attempt! Will is an amazing and patient instructor. In my trial lesson itself, without me telling him anything about my previous Driving experience he was able to understand what exactly was missing. Every time I did the mistake, he never rushed to correct me, but rather asked me first about what different I could have done. So today, even though it was a tough weather I didn't felt that nervous as I was expecting I would feel during my test, and I am glad that I passed. Many thanks to Will for the lessons. And to Richard too, for the youtube videos ( I am there in one of his videos as well as a pedestrian ;-) )

Fantastic experience: Richard was a brilliant instructor - and taught me many useful techniques which I will always use. His online videos are a huge help and he has a great car. In fact, I loved the electric mini so much I bought myself one! Friends and family have commented how good I am for a new driver and Richard needs to take the credit for that. I was definitely not a natural! Richard really cares for his pupils welfare too. The car is fitted out with dashcams to protect both him and the pupil from the aggressive drivers out there on the roads who like to blame learners for their own mistakes. You are in safe hands with Richard.

Fantastic experience: personally i would recommend ultimate driving to anyone who wants to learn automatic. from someone who switched from manual to automatic i wouldn't look back in a million years it was a great experience to learn in the electric mini and i have recommend it to family and friends or anyone learning to drive. i personally learnt with Richard and he was a very good instructor and i enjoyed my time with him especially learning in busy car parks. i would also say about there online driving course it really useful and i would say that anyone should use it to the best of their ability it was a great way to learn outside of the car. couldn't be more grateful for Richard helping me pass special shout out to him.

Negative experience: Avoid this driving school. The instructor is taking students to private car parks where he has no permission to teach. When showing his student how to park the instructor nearly hit my car whilst I was stationary. Not someone I would recommend. Claimed to have permission to be there but doesn't as I checked with the car park owner. You do not have my permission to use your footage. I repeat that that the car park owner has not given you permission to be teaching in their car park.

Fantastic experience: I cannot fault this driving school at all, helped me get over all my nerves and made sure I passed first time. I would recommend this company to anyone who is starting to learn to drive. Will is an absolute incredible instructor.

I have to say that my experience with Ultimate driving school was excellent from day 1. In the initial discussion itself Richard clearly explained the plan and from there Will took over as my instructor. Will was very patient , friendly and always helped me to resolve my issues in driving. He explained & trained me with all the tips and tricks which I can do make my driving perfect. Whenever I have some doubts I used to message him, and he was so helpful that he will reply with all the details to resolve my doubt. The online driving lessons also helped me very much in gaining the knowledge quite fast. I used to watch the online lessons first before I go for the practical lessons and I feel that helped me in reducing the number of hours required for practical lessons. Fantastic experience: I passed my test first time a couple of weeks ago after learning to drive first with Cat, then Richard since 2022. I would describe myself as a very nervous driver when I initially started and I had no confidence at all so started lessons in a manual car then stopped for a while until last year when I picked it up again in an automatic car and fully committed to it. Richard is one of the most calm and patient people I know and is brilliant at explaining things in a way that makes sense to you and can relate to in your day to day life. This helped build my confidence up and has made me much more confident now, something I didn't think was ever going to happen. I also used the driving course on the website to help and remind me of things and helped fill the gaps in my knowledge. I found that watching these videos was very helpful, particularly watching the manoeuvres ones and driving on the dual carriageways. I have to add just how amazing the whole team is, I did my mock test with Will and he was great and very thorough in his analysis of my driving. I can't recommend Ultimate driving enough and would be telling anyone that I know who wants to learn to drive to use them Thank you all so much.

Fantastic experience: I've started my learning experience with Ultimate Drive in April 2022 and passed the first time on Feb 2023, with only 3 driver faults. Ultimate drive use an automatic electric mini, and the instructor is very nice and strives for the least amount of driver faults as possible. I've tried getting my drivers licence 3 times, and this one was by far the best experience. The car drives beautifully. Learning automatic makes it really easy very quickly. You start focusing on safety sooner and less about gears and clutches. Ultimate Drive also offers an online course, which I found very useful , especially when I started learning manoeuvres and tell me and show me questions. We started with one lesson a week for a few months, and when the test was closer, we had a few couple of hours sessions. I also got to do a few mock tests that put me in the same situation as the test, and they were very helpful. I would definitely recommend Ultimate Drive. Fantastic experience: The only review you need to read! I didn’t start to learn to drive until I was older and was very anxious and nervous. After feeling deflated by taking lessons with other instructors, I was ready to accept that driving wasn’t for me. I gave it one last go and found Ultimate Driving. Finally, I had found the most professional, safe, encouraging and enjoyable ‘learning to drive’ experience anyone could wish for. I got into the car on my first lesson with Cat, I was offered options on the best way that she could help me learn, which gets taken into consideration thoroughly and reconsidered by both of us along the way as the instructors at Ultimate driving go out of their way to personally find the best way to inspire, encourage and motivate their students. Ultimate driving not only strive for their students to pass their driving tests confidently (including help with preparing for theory tests), but their main goal is to put safe drivers on the road which ultimately benefits all of us! I personally wanted to be able to drive safely to any destination (which is the aim of learning to drive) with no fear. Ultimate driving allowed me to do just that. As a company, their policies are better than any local learner driving company I had found. Being able to do mock tests with another instructor from their team is paramount to being able pass your test and be a great driver, taking my mock test with Richard boosted my confidence, eradicated mistakes I was making and accelerated me closer to my goal of being a qualified driver. The team at Ultimate driving communicate between themselves to find the best way to advance each student, which you don’t get from any other instructors in the area. After each lesson you get sent through driving notes which range from mistakes you need to work on, what you will be focusing on and what you have achieved. These are useful from lesson to lesson but were pivotal leading up to just before my test. Your driving notes are essential to your progress as a driver, as any notes would be to learn any skill. These are included in the price of your lessons which also solidifies Ultimate Driving as being the best value driving company to learn with in the entire area. I passed first time, I never thought I would be a driver. I had tried and failed starting to learn to drive, let alone qualify, until I found Cat, who is fantastic. The encouragement and support from Richard was an added bonus which I am so grateful for. I can’t recommend Ultimate Driving enough. They really do go the extra mile! Cheesy pun intended!!!

Fantastic experience: Learning with Richard was great, he was calm, patient and explained everything in detail. Driving during the Covid pandemic was made safe as he was very thorough in cleaning the car, insisting on hand sanitiser and wearing masks, which left me reassured. I am happy to say that I not only passed my driving test (first time) but also feel like a confident driver.

Fantastic experience: Ultimate Driving has been a crucial part of my journey and I cannot rate them any higher. I am deaf which meant my communication isn't very good and I need a driving instructor who's willing to support my learning while being very communicative in a way that matches my need as a deaf person. I've had a different driving instructor from different company prior to ultimate driving which hasn't been very good or useful at very least. So, I decided to use Ultimate Driving as a replacement and blimey, their quality of teaching is very good. My driving instructor (Will) has been a superstar who has been very respectful, professional and friendly. Likewise, they've used many tools such as iPads that shows different scenarios and how I should behave as a fully qualified driver. They also had a website that I can use to revise certain things such as "show me tell me" which, again, has been very useful. Will also picks up small details such as my bad driving habits which he would advise on how I should avoid doing it so, and what is a good driving habit. Making me a lot safer driver and perfect my driving skills. At the end, I passed my driving test on my first go, with only one minor. That itself alone shows how good Ultimate Driving is. In nutshell, I strongly recommend Ultimate Driving to anyone, including for those who are Deaf or hard-of-hearing :)

Fantastic experience: Learning to drive with Richard was an absolute pleasure. I was a little concerned about trying to learn again after a few years of not trying, but he immediately made me at ease - and concentrated on the right fundamentals to build a core habit when it comes to driving proficiency. In addition, especially during this COVID 19 situation, I must applaud ultimate driving’s approach to cleanliness and student safety. The car is routinely inspected and disinfected before and after each lesson, masks are on at all times and it add an additional level of stress relief knowing these things are taken care of. I passed my test thanks to Richard and the team, and couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Simply the best in the business.

Fantastic experience: I passed in December 2018 and have been doing so without any accidents or problems at all. Richard was the post patient driving instructor I have come across, I was very anxious and at the time couldn’t multitask to save my life. Richard gave me time and explained things so clearly. I managed to somehow pass my test without any drivers faults and 100000% owe this to Richard and the times I also got to spend with Cat, who was always so kind and honest, both are always so willing to help you and will go out of their at for each student.

Fantastic experience: After passing first time, I heartily recommend Ultimate Driving; Richard was a fantastic instructor, and was always very patient, and extremely thorough in prepping you for driving, beyond that of just passing your test. Richard is also very easy to chat to while you drive, and makes you feel comfortable and at ease, and after a hiatus due to Uni, he still made time for me, and gave me a heads up on any changes well in advance. Also, the videos on the Ultimate Driving website are extensive and very well put together, helping you learn when you're not in a lesson. All in all, a great experience with Ultimate Driving, and with Richard, and you should definitely consider using them if you're in the area (or even far away).

Fantastic experience: I would definitely recommend Ultimate Driving- Richard was a fantastic instructor and with his help I was able to quickly become more confident behind the wheel. I had frequent lessons and it was nice to feel I was progressing with each one. I was always made to feel comfortable driving in his car. Richard also went into great depth with the technique for manoeuvres, giving me clear instructions to help. This made sure I understood what to do with the car and when, ensuring the it was carried out safely and accurately. I didn’t only learn how to drive, I was also taught about the inner workings of the car and what makes the car move etc. This was really interesting and helped me to understand how different controls affected the car and it’s engine. Richard went above and beyond to make sure I was ready and confident for my test. I would like to thank Richard for all his help and guidance over the past few months.
