Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed my time with Ian, he is an excellent instructor and a joy to be around which made me look forward to each lesson. I was able to learn at a steady pace thanks to his methods and professionalism. Ian being able to answer all my questions helped me so much. I highly recommend him to anyone, whatever level of nervousness or competency. He never let me down with lesson times and thanks to his thorough teaching I felt well prepared for my test which I passed 1st time.

Fantastic experience: Ian often said to me that driving isn’t a skill that somebody is born with, however it’s hard to believe it’s a skill that Ian wasn’t born with! Starting lessons with Ian, I was incredibly nervous and a very anxious driver. I used to be so scared when my previous instructor used to pick me up, Ian was incredible, always arriving early and often dropping me off later than my scheduled time, Ian was so patient with me, and listened to what I had to say about how I was feeling. The way Ian explains things makes them simple to understand and it was made very clear to me when I started off that no question was a stupid question, taking a lot of that fear away immediately when on lesson that I could ask for help whenever I needed it. It was also lovely just having a chat and getting to know Ian himself! It was truly lovely and relaxing when driving. I cannot explain how thankful I am to have been taught by Ian, and to have had somebody so patient, understanding, reassuring and kind to guide me through passing my driving test. Now I will always have Ian’s voice in my mind when I drive… “think safety!!” Road Light Driver Training was 100% the right move, I couldn’t reccomend them enough.

Fantastic experience: I recently passed my driving test, and I couldn’t have done it without Ian. After being with three different instructors before Ian, I can confidently say that he excelled in building my confidence and helping me progress where i felt other instructors simply were unable to. Ian is an incredibly honest and sincere driving instructor who is truly committed to helping his students succeed. He has a very professional demeanour and always remains calm and composed, even when I made serious or dangerous mistakes. Ian never shouts, instead, he deals with errors in a patient and understanding manner, making sure you learn from them. He is also highly focused on achieving your goals and is willing to go the extra mile to ensure you’re confident and ready not only for your test but for driving even long after that. Fantastic experience: The end of Jan, I began learning with Ian after seeing reviews online. I had never drove a car before that I can 100% say from my first lesson to now passing first time with 0 faults, Ian is one of the best instructors any new driver could look for. Always on time (if not earlier) every lesson spent we built up my skills and went over lessons I struggled with till I was happy which got me here! From the start, Ian was friendly, making lessons enjoyable and fun so when I did make mistakes he’d never shout but was patient and helped me improve by demonstrating in various ways (apps, watching him first, and even a Lego model)! Ian stands out from other instructors as he teaches you how to adapt your driving to real life situations instead of test standard which made me a really confident driver when on the road and knowing I was in control when parking in tight spaces. At the end of each lesson we also recalled what I did and made me independent by asking me what I’d say to someone who didn’t know about what we learnt which made me use my initiative and knowledge. I honestly couldn’t recommend Ian enough! Everything he offers is worth the money and I will be back to do a motorway lesson soon! Thank you for never doubting me and always believing me even when I was hard on myself when lessons didn’t go as well in my head, I couldn’t of done it without you Ian!
