Negative experience: Having researched the local driving schools for my daughter, I found this one highly recommended. I eventually got through to Amanda only to be told that she had no slots for a couple of months and could I text my details to her. We decided to wait that time as thought we were on a list of sorts. At school, a few weeks later, my daughter told her friend about this driving instructor who called her and immediately got a slot, so I texted to find out if she had any open slots. Ignored my first text. Texted again a few days later only to be told a number of unexpected students had failed their test (not a great reference anyway), so no slots available and good luck to my daughter. I found this highly unprofessional and will now look elsewhere having wasted a couple of months.

Negative experience: Unfortunately my daughter had a terrible experience with Amanda. She turned up over an hour late for her first lesson on her 17th birthday and subsequently rearranged every single lesson after that. Her diary management was awful and she clearly takes on too many pupils and doesn’t have the time to teach them. We had to find an alternative instructor and I asked if we could receive a refund for the 2 hours still owed. This was declined so we booked the remaining 2 hours with Amanda but later decided not to go ahead with the lessons. We did this at short notice, much the same as Amanda had done to us on previous occasions. Would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this driving school enough. Amanda has taught my two eldest children, both of whom initally struggled with confidence . She made them feel relaxed & built their confidence to become safe drivers who both passed first time. She is so approachable and easy to talk to and has a great rapport with her clients. I just hope she has space for my 13 year old in 4 years time. Amazing teacher!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been learning with Amanda, her kind and caring personality helped with my nerves learning to drive. On the day of my test I was very nervous and Amanda reassured me and shared ideas of how to stay calm on the day of my exam! I passed 1st time, I’ve really enjoyed my time learning with her and will miss our time together.

Fantastic experience: Amanda took my daughter Isla for some lessons so she could gain expert advise and go over techniques that she had already learnt. Amanda was everything Isla needed, she gave back Isla’s confidence and gave Isla the trust she needed to pass. Isla enjoyed her driving experience with Amanda and Amanda will be taking my son in November when he turns 17.

Fantastic experience: I started lessons as a complete beginner and had no driving experience before my first lesson with Amanda back in November 2022. Fast forward 7 months and I passed my driving test first time! I couldn’t have done it without Amanda’s teaching and support. She was patient and put me at ease whilst driving. I gained the confidence, skills and knowledge I needed to pass the test as well as how to drive safely. I highly recommend her to any learner driver and wish you luck with your driving journey!

Fantastic experience: I can highly recommend Amanda! Our 18 year old son has ASD and was very nervous when he started learning but Amanda's calm, friendly and approachable manner really put him at ease. Jake found Amanda's instructions to be clear and memorable and her focus on building his confidence really helped. Jake went on to pass first time and we are all absolutely thrilled! Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Amanda as a driving instructor. My back story is a little bizarre. I took an intensive driving course in 2015 and was in an accident. I passed first time but ultimately ended up moving and not needing a car. I recently change jobs and which required a car. Still a bit hesitant about driving Amanda could not have been a better instructor. Very calm, patient and funny she took away the stress and made relearning easy and fun. I would recommend Amanda to anyone who has had a driving hiatus.

Fantastic experience: Amanda is an amazing instructor and I genuinely believe I could not have passed my test without her. From a very young age I always had this fear of driving. Since our very first lesson though she put me at such ease. She has this calming aura that I will certainly miss when on the roads! She has the patience of a saint which is exactly what a learner driver needs. She is so understanding and flexible too - just a joy to be around and have her as your instructor. Fantastic experience: Amanda is one of the best teachers I have come across. The first minute I was driving with her I felt comfortable and confident due to her friendly and approachable personality. If you had a question she would always be happy to answer with good examples and ways to remember it. Amanda is also brilliant when it comes to test dates I had to cancel my test and I thought next time I’d get one was 3 -5 months away with the wait and everything but Amanda managed to get a test booked for me in 3 weeks time from having to cancel mine. I would 100% recommend to anyone.

My experience with others had been pretty much the same, retired men who wanted to make a little bit of extra money and were in no way able to actually teach someone. Amanda was a breath of fresh air. Being a qualified high school teacher as well as a driving instructor, she is able support, encourage and foster learning in a way unlike anyone else I've ever met. On top of this, you can really see how much she loves her job, and this translates into a level of detail and care most others lack. Every lesson was enjoyable, and I will miss lessons with Amanda greatly. I cannot stress enough what an incredible driving instructor she is, and on top of that, a truly lovely person.

Fantastic experience: Having had a bad experience with my previous instructor, I decided to switch to Amanda and it was the best decision I made. She is extremely patient, friendly, understanding and made me feel totally comfortable in my driving journey. Fantastic experience: I switched driving instructors to Amanda as I was having difficulty passing my tests and it made a huge difference. First of all she made me feel so comfortable and relaxed in her car especially with the new Corona Virus measures. She provided me with a booklet to mark our process, and sent me videos and links to information and questions to help me gain knowledge and confidence. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs help with confidence and who struggles with stress or anxiety with driving. Fantastic experience: Learning to drive with Amanda has been an absolute pleasure. Amanda has a fantastic ability of making you feel relaxed, stress free and safe when you are behind the wheel. Our weekly lessons were something to look forward to, she is often very flexible and will do her best to plan around you. Our lessons were a great laugh as she is very easy to talk to and get along with. I have found that if you get along with a teacher and they enjoy their job, the learning experience is much nicer and more enjoyable, due to this I would not hesitate recommending Amanda’s services and I feel she is very reasonably priced for the service she provides.
