Fantastic experience: Highly recommended. Excellent training , passed first time. The team are so supportive and patient from Jane in the office to the instructors. Vehicles are excellent from 7.5, Class 2 and Class 1.

Negative experience: Hopefully the don’t teach their students how to park on an industrial estate

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank Stockport HGV for all their fantastic work. I called around a couple of different training centres and brokers and Stockport was by far the most superior. From the first phone call Kay spent as much time as I needed on the call and explained everything and the process really clearly. Price wise they were if not the cheapest out of the 4-5 companies I contacted with great value for money. I completed my training and test over a 3 day period with Dave who is a cracking bloke. He has a fantastic work ethic and a really nice guy to spend time with and also has an extensive amount of knowledge , no doubt one of the reasons I passed first time. Fantastic experience: I have just completed my C1 training and passed my test with only 3 minor faults. I cannot recommend Stockport HGV/LGV enough! I had contacted a number of training centres in Manchester but the office staff were so friendly and knowledgeable here that I felt put at ease instantly! Stockport have the added benefit of an initial assessment which many organisations don't offer, this helped me to let go of some of my initial worries and fears and gave me tips on what I could work on/think about prior to my training. The office staff managed to get me booked in at a time that suited me and their communication and customer service was amazing. I had Eddie as my instructor, who was amazing, he has a wealth on experience and made me feel so at ease! And he put up with my constant moaning for a few days! I also worked with Derek and Dave M who were both lovely and so knowledgeable. The only downside is that I might I won't get to work with the staff again! Maybe it's time for a bigger horsebox and more training! If you're looking to do any LGV/HGV training then I wouldn't hesitate or waste time looking around, just give Jane or Kay a call in the office :)

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking to pass your class 1 (C+E) or class 2 (C) then look no further than LGV Stockport. Just give Kay or Jane a call and they will walk you through the necessary steps to gain your HGV license. If you’re lucky enough to get Derek (Instructor) what a top guy he his. Soak up all his knowledge, and you’ll have no problems at all. The whole experience from start to finish was an absolute joy, and I’m so happy that I went with their company to gain my Class 1 (C+E).

The other two companies were not that interested and didn’t offer much help on the phone. When I initially phoned and spoke to Jane she spent plenty of time with me on the phone explaining everything that was needed as there’s a few stages to get through and a fair bit to take in and understand. I booked with them straight away. Massive thanks to Dave M on my initial class 2 assessment drive. He’s an excellent instructor. Also thanks to Eddie for having the patience of a saint on my reverse training (it took me a while to get it how he wanted it) but we got there in the end. Kay, the owner of Stockport LGV, has treated me professionally, kindly, and as if I were one of their own. Quick and efficient in getting me on the road and assisting me in scheduling my road test. Along with Dave M, who has been an absolutely amazing instructor, the best so far as I've had many. Dave M provided clear and concise instructions and was extremely thorough in ensuring that I was efficient and safe on the road while driving. Fantastic experience: I recently passed my Class 2 test with this company and I cannot recommend them enough. From the initial phone call to get all the necessary information on how to get started, all the way to my test day, everyone I interacted with was polite, helpful, informative, knowledgeable and professional. If I had to give 1 negative, it would be the CPC Module 2 learning material that was provided. While I passed my Mod 2 first time, I feel this is due to the extra reading that I did myself, as I felt there were holes in my knowledge, compared to what other drivers knew (Drivers on YouTube/Family). I don't know if this is their own site or one that they use, but an option to take a full Mock Test (instead of just mocks for random Case Studies) or more case studies covering more subjects, I feel would be very beneficial. However, this is a very minor negative and it didn't put me off from the rest of the process. I just think it's worth mentioning! Special shout outs to Derrek and Eddie for their help with making me a great Class 2 driver. (Especially Eddie, he is very skilled at understanding each different person and knowing how to make sure they are ready for test day, thanks again for helping me stay calm and collected, you're a star.) I look forward to seeing you all again when I come to do my Class 1!

Negative experience: Very disappointing company, At the start communication with SHGV was fantastic and my intention was to to complete the whole class 2 course with SHGV, I purchased the starter pack and passed all 3 theory tests first time the next day i bought the two hour driving assessment then all communication with SHGV stopped with no reply to emails and very unprofessional when we spoke on the phone. SHGV could not offer me a date to start a course other than a couple of weeks. I booked with an alternative company within the area who offered several dates to choose and passed.

I gave them a call to have a chat and find out what I would need to do to obtain my class 2 license and from the start I felt very comfortable. Very responsive to my emails, any issues or help I needed they where there for me and helped me with everything along the way. I had my assessment day and was told I’d need 18 hours driving. They accommodated me on the days I was free And helped me pass my reverse test, CPC and practical test in 3 days. I passed all my tests first time with these guys and that’s down to how they train you and the support they give. Not only this but also passed my theory’s in 1 day too thanks to their Online training they provided for me. Dave my instructor was outstanding and I can not thank him enough for the help he gave me during my 3 days of training. He is straight to the point and helped me with everything I needed, also a wonderful man too, we had some good chats while driving around. He made me feel at ease while driving and pointed out anything I needed help with along the way. All the people at this company are very friendly and easy to talk to, brilliant from start to finish. Fantastic experience: Highly recommended. I took a two hour assessment drive, followed by Theory and Hazard Perception online training and then a three day course including reverse test practical test. All the training was carried out with utmost professionalism, the booking and administration of tests were carried out by the Company with no problems, communication was excellent throughout. Also, all COVID secure. The instructors are first class, with a relaxed, informal approach and a superb coaching style - I would describe my instructor as an 'enter-trainer', conveying his instructions and points in a light-hearted but memorable way. Don't expect it to be a simple job to pass your class 2, but if you follow the instructions and approach your learning with an open mind, you have a great chance with these guys. My thanks especially to Kay, Matt, Eddie and Jane who looked after me incredibly well.

Negative experience: Unresponsive company. All my calls and emails was ignored for over a month. Sad because in the beginning all looked promising. AVOID if you dont want to waste your time. On top of that one of the Director was very rud Dont recomend!!

Fantastic experience: I have recently undertaken my Cat C HGV + CPC tests with Stockport HGV. Karen and the team have been exceptional, especially through Covid. Charges are very reasonable and the trainers are very knowledgable & focused. They've done a lot to accommodate changing diaries and limited availability on both sides - work commitments for me and central testing availability. They've been really helpful, very supportive, and I can't recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant service Stockport HGV provided. After having a rubbish service through a company called easyashgv who send you to enterprise for your class C training. I had 4 days training with a different instructor each day with them all saying different things and eventually being one of the 8 out of 9 who failed on my course and having poor communication with them after my test I decided to move to Stockport hgv. They got me a retest within 2 weeks and I opted for just a few hours training before. On the day the office staff (kay and jane) were all polite and informative and I was with the instructor Graham who was FANTASTIC! He made everything really clear and told me to stop doing things I had been taught off enterprise which he said was unnecessary and I Passed a few hours later. Graham really was worth his weight in gold and I would recommend Stockport hgv to anyone! T
