The trainer (Steve) was incredibly patient and clear with his instructions, which made the learning experience much easier. He always took the time to explain things thoroughly and ensured I felt confident before moving on to the next step. His calm approach really helped, and when i did make mistakes he was very good at explaining what i'd done wrong and how to correct that in the future, I appreciated how he tailored the lessons to suit my learning pace and previous experience. The name Metal Mickey is spot on too, happy learning Compared to more rural areas, the routes are busier with far more roundabouts and junctions to understand and master. With the help of Mark and Steve at Metal Mickey's though, if you put the time and effort in and apply yourself, success is guaranteed. Mark gave me expert guidance, practise and advice for C+E and the test was enjoyable rather than stressful due to the faultless quality of his excellent training. I passed my Class 1 practical test having only had 4 hours of on road training with trainer Mark. I had failed my practical test with another training provider and decided to make a switch and searched for suitable trainers to help me achieve my goal. As soon as I found Metal Micky and saw the very positive reviews I knew this was where I needed to go and I couldn’t have made a better choice. Mark is very professional, calm, knowledgable and explains everything very clearly and makes sure you understand where you are going wrong when you make mistakes. In such a short space of time Mark has transformed me from a bit of a nervous wreck after past failures, to Class 1 pass standard and I can’t thank him enough. Fantastic experience: I’m a class one lorry driver, I wouldn’t be able to say that if it was for the patience of Mark the man behind Metal Mickeys LGV Driver Training, how he got me to reverse that artic with throwing his toys out the cot is beyond me. His patience and persistence paid off did I one smooth swoop. Then the forward bit his words often used were MIRRORS DAVE, BLIND SPOT DAVE, COME ON BUILD YA SPEED UP, and once DAVE YOUR UP THE KERB. I had no confidence at all on the day left the test centre with the examiner and just drove like Mark and showed me all through hearing him my head, on return to the test centre to hear the words pass with one minor I couldn’t believe it. Had my Cpc Mod 4 training, passed first time with 100%. - Solid training, good explanations, and drilled me on questions until I could hit every point on all the answers required. I did the 5 day Training for the Class 2 Mod 3 test. Very thorough instructor, explains exactly the right way to handle the vehicle and position yourself on the road. After that no nonsense. Picks you up on ever point in your driving right up until your test, keeps you on your toes. Thank you for getting me test ready, and enabling a first time pass. I'll be coming back for my class 1.
