Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing company with the best of the best instructors! Darren Moor has been a truly wonderful instructor providing positive feedback consistently which really helps learners establish their confidence on the roads. First time pass thanks to his excellent teaching and ability to provide support in ways that are centred around the individual student and their learning styles.

Fantastic experience: I have always wanted to start my driving lessons from the age of 16, but have put it off for so many years. I decided in June, to start my driving lessons & I chose to go with wells. After always seeing them to be the most recommended by lots of people, I made enquiries to start. Mandy from wells contacted me & I only wanted to do lessons with a female instructor at first. Mandy said there would be quite a long wait for a female instructor, but said she would get me in quicker with a male. She reassured me that Jay from wells driving was a nice person to learn to drive with & put me in contact with him & I got started. Also sent me a link to the app that helped me pass my theory test first time too. My driving lessons with Jay from wells have been really good, always managed to fit lessons around my young children. Easy to get along with & lessons have been full of concentration, as well as being able to have a laugh & that is what you want. Always reassuring that you are doing well too that helped your confidence. I passed my theory, as well as my practical both first time. I passed my practical test today with Jay & I can’t thank him enough. If you are thinking of starting your driving lessons, don’t hesitate you will not regret it. I have even bumped into other instructors from wells on lessons & they all seem really nice people. If only we could rate more than a 5 star, as they all deserve it. Thank you all again

Negative experience: I’m very disappointed in this company, I was recommended by a family member to get lessons from here as they are apparently really good. But This person was rude and unprofessional, did not specify who they were or even consider that 10pm, might have meant 10am in the morning. A simple response : Hello this is wells driver training, is it possible you might have meant 10am? Even if I wanted a 10pm lesson, was this reasonable response to a simple question? There was no patience and was quick to respond with aggression. I am in shock of the behaviour of this person.

Fantastic experience: My son just passed first time, which is an absolutely fantastic achievement and Ian was such a great instructor and a really calming influence on him in the run up to the test and on the day. Thanks again!

Fantastic experience: I had Kurt Holmes as my driving instructor, and I can’t recommend him enough! From the very first lesson, Kurt’s calm demeanor, clear communication, and professional approach made me feel confident and at ease behind the wheel. He has a knack for explaining even the trickiest maneuvers in a way that’s easy to understand, and he’s incredibly patient, which was a huge help when I was feeling nervous. Kurt not only helped me pass my driving test on the first try, but it was also with zero faults and he also equipped me with safe driving habits. I really can't thank him enough. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, encouraging, and reliable instructor, Wells Driver Training is the place to call!!

Fantastic experience: If your looking to start your driving lessons I highly recommend Kurt Holmes at Wells Driving School. He is absolutely professional, patient and ensures to fine tune your areas of weaknesses. I have been lucky to have him as my instructor and thankful to him for transforming me into a confident driver on the road. I have passed my test first attempt and truly enjoyed the entire experience of learning.

Fantastic experience: 10/10 experience with Keith learning in his lovely automatic Hyundai. He has performed a miracle in just under 10 months. I was a nervous wreck and had put driving off for many years because of this, thinking it may be something I could never manage - last week I passed my test first time with zero faults!?!? He was very patient from the beginning and always put me at ease, getting the perfect balance of taking it slow but also pushing me when I needed it. I always felt comfortable and safe in our lessons and we had a good laugh too. If you want expert coaching to past the test Keith is the man! Thank you Wells!

Fantastic experience: Aimee is an amazing instructor, not only did I pass my driving test, but I actually feel confident and capable driving now. I'd had lessons on and off with different instructors and companies over the years and the money ran out and I wasn't test ready over and over and I always hated every second of it because it was so stressful and I didn't think I could do it. Aged 38, I finally decided to book an intensive course and Aimee made me feel so much better, she explains everything clearly, in a non-patronising way and corrects you without making you feel stupid. Also she has an excellent sense of humour and is just pleasant to be around. I wish I'd had lessons with her 20 years ago. Can't recommend her highly enough to anyone struggling with learning to drive!!

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of spending a week with Keith doing my intensive course last week. And this morning I passed my test with only 4 minors. Keith is one of the most patient people I have come across. His training methods are great and easy to understand. He is a great instructor and worth his weight in gold. Keith is also a top man, you can have a real laugh with him and he makes you feel at ease. This morning I was really feeling the nerves and waking up to heavy rain was not a great start in my head. But Keith knew how to bring me back down to earth and calm me before my test. He was with me every step of the way and I felt so much pride to know not only did I please myself today, I also pleased him. I am leaving the start of my journey knowing I won’t get to see Keith tomorrow morning beaming ear to ear at me from his little red car. Which makes me sad. But I’ll see you on the road Keith ✌️

Fantastic experience: Before I started having lessons with Steve Thurlow from Wells, I had already been with two previous instructors from other companies and had bad experiences. Steve was recommended to me from a friend, he made me feel comfortable from the start and was so patient. He taught me the skills I hadn’t learnt before and I regained my confidence which has resulted in me passing first time today at 17. I can’t believe it!! Thank you Steve and Wells so much.

Fantastic experience: Mandy was very polite over the phone and arranged my lessons in good time over the following 2 weeks. My instructor, Jack, was amazing. On the first lesson he put me at ease and I picked up the skills quickly. He's great at explaining exactly what you should do in different situations and road conditions. I passed first time under his tuition with only 3 minors, Jack is patient, kind and professional and i cannot recommend Wells enough!

Negative experience: Need to learn to read text messages rather than wasting my time for 2 weeks before telling me you don't have availability. Which is not a good sign if a driving school isn't converting learners to qualified drivers quickly enough

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to wells driving school by my brother due to struggling a-lot with learning to drive. I spoke to mandy on the phone and she was really efficient and listened to what i needed, she assigned me to Jack phillips who was amazing. He took the time to explain things to me and helped calm down any nerves i had. Without wells driving school i would of never been able to pass! I cant fault jack and mandy and im so grateful to the both of you. I 100% recommend wells driving school to anyone who is learning to drive as they are so accommodating and will make sure you reach your goal!! Fantastic experience: I contacted Mandy a few months ago looking for automatic lessons. I had tried manual in the past with a differdnt school but hated everything about the clutch and biting point so thought if I don't try automatic now, I never will learn to drive! After a short chat she paired me with keith wells, her husband, as she thought we'd get along well with our similar dry humour. Oh how right she was! Within the hour I was booked in with keith, deposit paid so I couldn't back out. On my first lesson I knew I had nothing to worry about straight away. I believe keith and I spent a good 30 minutes of my first lesson just chatting about our similar music taste, and the fact we had both been to the same concerts at the same time before. By the time it came to actually learning to drive I was completely comfortable with keith so I felt at ease saying what I did and didn't understand, but most of the time I didn't need to, as he could tell what I wasn't understanding so explained it in a different way so that it snapped in my brain immediately! When I did manual lessons years ago, I was filled with anxiety the days leading up to my lesson and felt such relief when it was over so I thought I'd be the same with Wells... nope! I genuinely looked forward to every lesson Keith and I had as it felt like you're meeting up with your best mate to go and have a little chat and therapy session (or in this case, when you go and take your grandad out to the seaside for a cup of tea and a scone ;) )and somehow in those two hours every week keith taught me to drive fantastically without me even realising it. I could tell the instructors at Wells are all happy and get along as they're always smiling and waving every time they cross paths or bump into each other in a car park which is truly wonderful to see. It's refreshing to see a bunch of people that work together genuinely loving their job. The care and professionalism Keith pours into his work is truly admirable, and he has a unique skill of changing and adapting how he teaches to make each individual person understand and feel comfortable behind the wheel. How Keith remembers every little detail of my life I've told him I will never know, but it's the extra details like this that made me feel so safe in the car with keith. He's there to teach you to drive- but he also cares about you as a person as well as a student. I am genuinely sad I won't be able to tell him any of my life dramas anymore. Mandy did a fantastic job of pairing me with Keith as she was absolutely correct that we'd get along well. Thank you so much for everything you've done Keith- you said you've never given up on a student and you meant it, as, as of this morning, I passed my test with ZERO faults, and it's all thanks to Keith and Wells driver training. I will be recommending you by screaming it from the rooftops over and over again until I'm red in the face. See you on the flip side, Keef. I'll miss ya, old man!

Fantastic experience: I reached out to Wells, after deciding to give driving another go (after 2 instructors, many manual lessons and really losing my confidence) and Mandy assigned me to Darren. I wasn't sure if I was even meant to drive again but thought I'd try just one more lesson but this time in an automatic. And well, what can I say - Darren gave me that confidence back and thanks to him I passed just two days ago. I'm a somewhat nervy driver and tend to get anxious and overthink things but his relaxed, patient teaching style was incredibly helpful (even on days when I made more mistakes or forgot part of a manoeuvre). Would recommend- thank you Wells!

Fantastic experience: Choose WELLS Pass Well!!! i passed my test today! first time! from the get-go, I knew I wanted to learn with Wells seeing their amazing pass rates and other students passing. I reached out to Mandy Wells and she paired me up with my instructor Jack Phillips, what an amazing team they are! Mandy works hard and carefully considers assigning the right instructor for your needs! Jack has been amazing through this whole process, even on days when I was finding driving hard. Jack has so much patience and is so chilled and easygoing! if I could go back in time and do it all again I would 100% choose Jack every time! he is good at his job and it shows through his hard work and dedication in helping and teaching people to drive!!! I definitely would give him a 5-star rating too! because I definitely couldn't have done it without his help! Thank you Wells Driver Training

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing school Mandy was extremely helpful and informative with everything, I had done over 20 lessons with a different instructor and school and I did not feel like I was progressing at all. However after getting in contact with wells driving school they helped me tremendously with just minimal lessons big thankyou to Brian the instructor he was very informative, knowledgeable and very friendly made me feel very comfortable and confident in my abilities allowing me to pass 100% recommend over any other driving school big thankyou!

Fantastic experience: I passed my Driving Test today after undergoing an intensive course with Wells Driver Training. Mandy was very quick to get me booked in and was also very pleasant over the phone. My driving instructor was Jack, who was informative, patient, constructive and put me at ease from my first lesson right up to the last minute before my test. From when I first made the call saying I wanted to learn how to drive, the kindness and understanding was great, my instructor was Justin. I have nothing bad to say about Justin, from when we first met he helped me understand and perfect my driving skills, from how everything works as I have never driven a car before the lessons, to the day I got to pass my test, Justin was there all the way to help me improve and was able to help when I was struggling. If anyone was to learn how to drive Wells Driving School is the go-to school and I have to personally recommend Justin for his brilliant way of approaching students and teaching. Fantastic experience: We were recommended to use Wells by a friend who's son was being taught by Jack. We can't recommend Jack enough, our daughter Anya was super keen to learn and Jack just embraced it and was very efficient when Anya wanted extra driving lessons so she could move forward to her test. Anya passed today and her confidence has grown even more. Jack made Anya feel relaxed and he was definitely the right instructor for Anya so thank you Jack .

Fantastic experience: Easy 5 stars for the team at Wells. Jay was stand out teacher and given I'm in 30s he did well to work around by busy last few! I really appreciate the energy and consistency of the lessons. Bit sad it's over really! But passed first time, could ask for a better teacher.

Fantastic experience: I just passed first time with Emma… she is a seriously brilliant instructor! I did the intensive course (37 hours, ending with the test) in Herne Bay. Emma is EXACTLY the right teacher; deceptively cheerful but making absolutely sure you are learning the right things at the best speed for you. It was only after each lesson I realised how clever she had been; removing the fear of being a total newbie and getting you out on the roads. Oh, and she is seriously funny and kind.

Fantastic experience: Just want to say a massive massive thankyou to my instructor Aimee I did 40 hour intensive with her and from the start made me comfortable with the car and taught me very well! She got me very confident on the road and step by step got me better every hour I had with her! I couldn’t believe how much progress and confidence I got from her teaching in only 40 hours. I had my test today and passed with only two minor's on my first test which for me is absolutely fantastic and could not have done it without Aimee! Thankyou so much wells! And extra extra thanks to Aimee! 100% recommend this driving school and would highly highly recommend going with Aimee!

Fantastic experience: Passed my test today, first time with only 2 driver faults! I cannot recommend Wells enough - a friendly and professional company. But the biggest thanks goes to my instructor Emma, who has been such a joy to be taught by. She's been calm and taught me in a way that works for me and my ADHD struggles. She's super professional but still manages to keep the lesson light hearted and educational. She has a really great energy & I will miss her! Thanks again guys ❤️

Fantastic experience: A massive thank you to Wells Driver Training for getting me through my driving test first time! I'm particularly grateful to Emma, who really helped me get through my nerves (getting me from refusing to go above 10mph, to being able to overtake cars on dual carriageways - my biggest fear!). Emma is friendly, fun, motivational, and really helps you learn in the way that works for you. Fantastic experience: We can not thank Kevin enough from Wells. Our son passed his driving test first time with no errors! He was great. My son absolutely can not recommend him enough. He is a great instructor. Patient, reliable, professional and friendly. When he said our son was ready to take the test he was exactly right. Then, when my son managed to get a cancellation on his day off he didn’t hesitate in saying yes he would be there. Didn’t string out for more lessons than was needed.
