Negative experience: I had my first lesson yesterday with SDS instructor Gurd (Blue BMW), and I am very disappointed with his rude behavior. When I made a mistake, he simply said, "Oh, you would fail your test if you made this mistake." As a learner, I expect constructive feedback, not discouraging comments. If an instructor speaks in such a rude manner and focuses on failure, how can I improve? This experience left me feeling very demoralized and disappointed. Since yesterday's lesson, I’ve lost confidence and feel extremely stressed.

Fantastic experience: I had a test booked two days before my theory expired and my last instructor was no longer available a month before I had to go for my test. When I had my first lesson with Tanima she agreed to do lessons with me, but considering I failed my last few tests, I should look at retaking my theory. We had regular lessons and she was really patient with me. I think her being calm really helped me calm down and I was calm enough to pass my test. She was very wise and had a lot of advice and tips to share that helped me pass. She's very accommodating and was able to fit me in around my schedule and having the regular lessons really made everything easier to remember. I can't thank her enough for all she's done for me

Fantastic experience: Today I finally passed my driving test, after 3 years of wasting time with incompetent instructors only interested in making you spend money without the real desire to make you pass the test. I found Gurd, a trained and serious instructor who dedicated all his time to making me improve in driving, he taught me how to park by finding my reference point, which has always been impossible with other instructors. I can never thank him enough for his dedication to me. With just 12 and a half hours of intensive course he taught me everything that other instructors have completely failed at. Fantastic experience: Currently having lessons with Sid who has been amazing so far. Previously had 2 different instructors with different companies who weren't able to adapt to my learning style. Sid is very patient and understanding especially with nervous drivers. He gives constructive feedback that is helpful to gain confidence in becoming test ready. Sid will always go out of his way to accommodate lessons for when I need them even starting earlier than he would normally to ensure it fits around my busy schedule. Fantastic experience: I want to give a big thank you to my instructor Raj! I couldn't have passed (FIRST TIME!!) without him. He has been incredibly supportive from the start, always understanding and explaining everything clearly. Most importantly, he has always believed in me. I couldn't recommend him more!

Negative experience: If I could put zero stars I would. My friend has just finished having lessons with Sid who seems to enjoy bullying young women. Last minute cancellations, charging for lessons HE cancelled, making fun of her, constant phone calls whilst on lesson, stopping off at MCDONALD'S less than an hour before test, you name it he did it. Filled her with no confidence and even said he doesn't care if she fails. If you have the misfortune of using SDS please avoid Sid. Dread to think how he treats people who don't pay his wages.

Negative experience: My Granddaughter has been having lessons with SDS. Sid who is a complete Nob, charged her £40 a lesson but kept cancelling on the day before a lesson Did this several times, he even cancelled twice before the day of her test ,she had a test today and he wanted £400 for the lesson that he cancelled . What a complete prick If anyone is having lessons with SDS. Please avoid SID

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a learner with Zahid for around 11 months now, I was a very anxious driver at first but he was always great at keeping my nerves to a minimum when starting my driving experience. He is very easy to get along with, being very friendly and chatty, and is a great driving instructor. I passed my test at South Yardley test centre last week with zero minors. I would recommend Zahid to anyone looking for a new instructor.

Fantastic experience: Gurd was recommended to me by my sister who went to him after a poor experience with a different company/instructor. She said he helped her pass and stayed patient the whole time. I went in as a brand new driver and Gurd was great! He was friendly, we had great conversations during lessons and, most importantly, he was always calm and clear with instructions and very informative. I had lessons for a few months then went away to uni and when i came back (3 years later) we picked up where we left off and I passed in no time. Would recommend to everyone!

I would definitely recommend Ant, he is an incredible instructor and helped me to pass first time which made me very happy that I chose to use SDS. He has well thought out lessons, is patient, clear and able to take the more complicated aspects of driving and make them seem simple. He also helps to make things more efficient, encouraging me to book my theory early so I wasn't spending more than needed at early stages and then fitting me in with extra lessons closer to the test to maximise potential for passing which worked!!

Fantastic experience: Found SDS driving school and enquired initially for an automatic driving instructor. I was called back about my enquiry the same day where I was allocated a driving instructor-Raj. We booked in my first lesson and I was nervous of course but within the first 10 minutes of getting in the car and talking through what we were going to do that lessons and going forward I immediately felt at ease. From there going forward I have had the most enjoyable experience I could've possibly wished for. Having several instructors prior to finding SDS & Raj none compared to these guys. Can't praise / recommend Raj enough, so calm when teaching he explains everything clearly, anything I was struggling on we worked through until I was comfortable, he was constantly reassuring and believed in me even when I was doubting myself & today I've finally passed thanks to SDS & Raj. Top driving instructor and would HIGHLY recommend.

Fantastic experience: Alert ‼️ long post Passed today on my first test with Sid as my instructor. I’m an American living in the UK. I’ve been driving in America my entire life. With that being said I’ve developed years of bad driving habits. I’ve taken lessons with another instructor in the UK but from my very first lesson with Sid I could immediately tell the difference. He teaches based on your personal level. He was very honest and not just saying what you want to hear to book another session. The areas I lacked understanding was where he focused on. Everything is different for me as far as signs, roundabouts, zebra crossings etc. so it wasn’t something I could get in 2/3 lessons. Sid make sure I could get regular lessons even when it came to super early or late lessons based around my work schedule and his booked lessons. Sid made sure I was ready by my test date, even gave me a early Sunday morning lesson. Sid’s 17 years of experience showed clearly. I’m forever grateful for Sid and now having the freedom on becoming a licensed driver in the United Kingdom. I feel confident and know I can safely maneuver through keeping myself and other drivers safe. I will take what I’ve learned through my daily experiences. I’ll always hear him saying (would you feel safe to walk across the road) if not then don’t pull out. I give infinite stars to this driving school and will recommend all my unlicensed friends and anyone looking to drive safely. Thank you just doesn’t seem enough. Fantastic experience: Found SDS Driving School online and started my lessons with Sid. I completed 12 lessons and have passed first time with no faults! I had previous instructors who weren’t as efficient as Sid. Always gave clear instructions and has made me feel confident to drive independently. Worth every penny. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience learning to drive with Sid. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience to teaching new drivers and his teaching style was tailored towards my individual needs which helped me to quickly gain my confidence on the road. He prioritised safety at all times ensuring that I was always aware of my surroundings at all times and teaching me defensive driving techniques that have been invaluable. Though his prices are a bit high than that of my previous driving instructor, it is worth every penny. Mr Sid was also very reliable always showing up in lessons on time and communicating effectively. I cannot recommend Sid highly enough to anyone looking to learn to drive. Thanks to him I now feel confident and safe behind the wheel.

Fantastic experience: Passed with Gurd at Wolverhampton Test Centre. Previously I had a bad instructor who was not helping me progress, so two weeks before my test I contacted Gurd who (on short notice) fit me in his schedule and made me a better driver for my test.
