Our comment from DrivingSchoolsTOP.co.uk about Harley's Rider Training:
Harley's Rider Training is a renowned motorcycle training school in the UK, well-regarded for its passionate instructors and high-quality training courses. Customers consistently highlight the professionalism and supportive nature of the staff, making the learning experience enjoyable and confidence-building.
Many learners, including those new to motorcycling, have shared positive experiences, often referring to the patience and expertise of instructors like Stuart, Kenny, and Cath. The course delivery is structured yet friendly, allowing students to grasp the necessary skills effectively. The complimentary introductory lessons are also noted as a great way to ease into motorcycling.
However, there have been some reports of inconsistency in instructor demeanor. While many instructors are recognized for their humor and encouragement, a few reviews mention experiences with less patient or abrasive teaching styles, which have left some students feeling uncomfortable. Despite a handful of negative critiques, the overwhelming majority recommend Harley's for its commitment to rider safety and customer satisfaction.
In summary, Harley's Rider Training is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to learn how to ride, with a strong focus on safety, encouragement, and a positive learning environment.

Positive experience: I would have rated this place much higher if it wasn't for my experience today, which has left me really unsure if I want to continue learning. Up until now, everyone I have dealt with has been truly wonderful from my intro lesson with Fraser to communication with the lovely lady on reception and the other polite gentleman that dealt with my telephone bookings. There were also 2 men that may have been training instructors today (?) that were so supportive. I was truly excited for my CBT today but those feelings changed within an hour to the feeling of dread all day. I couldn't wait for it to be over and I came so close to walking out at lunchtime, which i wish I had. I usually don't write negative reviews without trying to solve them in person but after talking to the instructor 1-1 about my disappointment with their training methods as feedback, I received little compassion or remorse back. He was rude, swore a lot, aggressive, condescending and decided it appropriate to vape inside around us and all day. Initially I thought he was taking a "cruel to be kind " approach for safety but he spoke to the other people on my course in such a degrading manner. This upset me but it wasn't my business so I carried on. The tables turned onto me in the afternoon and I can only ask..how is a learner expected to stay calm on the road when they have an instructor determined to just shout at them and insult them for 2 hours? It seemed I did something wrong every minute and I explained so many times I could not hear him in the earpiece but was met with aggression every time for any decisions I made (without a working earpiece). I even said I could eventually hear but it really wasn't clear but when we carried on and was confused with directions I was shouted at. I accept instructors have to keep us safe but riding in fear of being shouted at for every single thing you do wrong is not a good teaching method. I've now read back the reviews and it seems I'm not the only person who may be concerned about this person so I only ask Harley's.." how can you allow an employee to continue with their inappropriate teaching style when nobody is happy and you know it is of a detriment to your future clients?"
Hi Preena, Thanks for your review. I'm sorry you didn't have a great time today. We will look into your concerns and Gordon the manager will come back to you. Jim Harley

Thanks Angela. Glad you had a great day
Fantastic experience: I went in for a CBT, didn’t know a lot, not extremely familiar to UK road rules, but Stuart was amazing, he helped me though everything, my face was hurting at the end of the day tho, cause Stuart was making us laugh so much throughout, I think he should start doing standup…i’m sure he’ll kill it there as well, but honestly, such a lovely experience, if you need to sort out your licences….this is the place for you…no cap.
Thanks Gaurav We won't tell Stuart he's funny tho...its bad enough work with him now:-) Ride safe mate and thanks for the great review
Fantastic experience: Great instructor Plenty of patience My confidence grew all day and that is because of the instructor big thank you
Fantastic experience: Did the free lesson, which gave an a great intro into the world of motorbikes and a first taste of riding. Had my CBT booked for a couple weeks after, mid-October and thankfully got a nice day. Spent the day learning from instructor Stuart, who was very patient, friendly and gave excellent instruction both in theory and the practical. Excellent experience with Harley’s, had fun on the Sinnis Terrain and Stuart gave us the knowledge, skills and confidence to continue to the next step! Eye opening for driving in general, I would recommend it!
