Fantastic experience: After some research on which driving school to go for, reviews led me to 1st Driving School Ltd. I had the honour to be taught by Kevin. He wasn’t just an instructor, he was an instructor that cared and genuinely wanted you to pass. He tailors the lessons towards who you are, ensuring your upmost confidence and comfort. He even has tissues in his drawer for when nasty drivers honks at you when you’ve stalled the car for 1 minute, resulting you to cry (happened several times). Quality of the tissue is questionable but quality of this legend of an instructor, beats any other instructor across Britain. Passed first time with 3 minors. Thanks for changing my life Kev!

Fantastic experience: I paased my test yesterday. my instructor was Kamal. He is amazing. He was so calm every time i had my lessons. He is very supportive, punctual , patient, and friendly. For this, my confidence in my driving increased . He always gave his 100% and tried to make lessons effective for me. He is a great instructor.

Fantastic experience: what a bloke, stuart nelson. i couldn’t have asked for a better instructor a proper good laugh and knows how to get things done. prices are fair and will even run over to get stuff done your not going to find that anywhere else. got thorough my lesson fast and confidently he will ensure you are getting everything you need to know done properly and quickly will never raise his voice or shout and is an amazing driver himself. i would recommend anyone to choose stuart!

Fantastic experience: Andy was my driving instructor, he is patient, understanding and supportive! I highly recommend Andy as an instructor. I passed 2nd time around and he provided me with positive feedback and encouragement.

Fantastic experience: Ash is a really great instructor, he’s calm and super supportive. I’ve had multiple different instructors in the past and Ash was by far the best one, especially if you struggle with confidence and anxiety. I honestly don’t think I’d have passed without him. My last instructor I had for over a year and failed more than once, I was with Ash for a couple of months and he helped me to see where I was going wrong and taught me the right way and I was finally able to pass. Highly recommend, I’m so thankful I found him.

He had the patience of a saint and had faith in me at times where I didnt have faith in myself. I suffer with anxiety and Andy positively pushed me to be the confident driver that I am today. Fantastic experience: Amazing experience with Ash my instructor straight forward good instructor passed my automatic driving test with 16 hours of learning couldn’t be happier amazing!

Fantastic experience: Really enjoyed working with Ash. I'd had instructors in the past who had made me feel stressed or unnerved and Ash had made me feel at eased. Was always happy to take extra time to help me feel calm throughout.

Fantastic experience: I have had a few driving instructors whilst learning to drive and Dan at 1st Driving has definitely been the best! Super friendly and made me feel comfortable instantly! I have generally been a very nervous driver but Dan really helped me and I wouldn’t have passed without him!

Fantastic experience: I could not recommend Steve more as a driving instructor! He is really patient and willing to go over anything you don’t understand to help! He helped me to build up my confidence while driving and was adaptable with my demanding work and uni schedule.

Fantastic experience: I passed my theory and practical first time with the instructor Andy. He was very calm and taught me a lot in such a small amount of time. I had no prior driving knowledge but soon picked it up as well as my confidence in driving within the first two weeks. Andy would always make sure I perfected the routes, manoeuvres before starting something new. Any time I made a mistake, we would re-do it until there was no longer any mistakes and anything I did positive, he would always make sure to point out what I did in order to reassure me that I was actually learning what I was paying for.

Fantastic experience: My driving instructor was Kevin, who was very friendly and professional and offered reasonable prices. Never cancelled a lesson and helped me pass my test first time.

Fantastic experience: Quick service and friendly customer service staff. My instructor immediately contacted me and set dates for my lessons. Tony is an amazing instructor! I passed for the first time and I think I couldn't make it without his passionate and comprehensive teaching. He is very professional and kind. He covers my driving weaknesses with lots of practice and knowledge which eventually turned into my strength. Highly recommended and deserved to be given more than 5 stars!

Fantastic experience: Could not recommend this driving school enough and more specifically my driving instructor Julian Barker! He has nothing short of amazing when it came to providing a stress and anxiety free environment when driving. He’s such a professional and helped me passed my test first time round with zero driving faults.

Fantastic experience: Kev was recommended to me by my wife who passed with his instructions and it was the best recommendation ever. Kev has been absolutely incredible and if it wasn’t for him I don’t think I would have passed as comfortably as I did. Kev is an absolute legend and I cannot give him enough credit!

Fantastic experience: After a pretty disappointing experience with Red's Driving School—where I felt like I was spending more time parked than actually driving—I was really unsure about continuing my lessons. But then I found Naz at 1st Driving School, and everything changed for the better. Fantastic experience: steve was THE BEST! he helped me pass my driving test first time which was amazing and i was always having a go at him because i couldn’t find a test (even though it wasn’t his fault) and he always put up with me and made me feel better, driving lessons with steve were never stressful or sad like i hear others are but mine was always just funny and relaxing! he’s the best around couldn’t thank him enough x

Fantastic experience: I recently passed my test whilst using 1st driving my instructor was stuart and he was amazing, cracking some amazing jokes and loves to hold a great conversation, stuart is eager to get you driving on your first lesson which i found amazing. With just about 5 months of being with stuart i passed my test first time! Stuart is always there to support you in every way, including videos to assist you with driving around and he’s happy to go the extra mile to give you a little homework (which helped me massively). If i could go back 5 months and have stuart teaching me again i would do it, the bond that you will create with him is like no other. Overall stuart is an amazing teacher, he’s never snaps at you for doing something wrong instead he teaches you right from wrong, he’s an amazing man, very talented, funny, exciting and comforting whilst driving around tricky area. I looked forward to every lesson with him and i’m very thankyou for everything he did for me.

Fantastic experience: The best choice ever, was going with 1st driving school. The instructor they allocated me with was Kamal. Kamal is a an excellent teacher. Very calm, down to earth and soo easy to get along with. I have had 3 other instructors before kamal(from two different companies) that just wasn’t right for me but I’m glad that I finally found the correct instructor to teach me how to drive as I PASSED my test the FIRST time. I would highly recommend asking 1st driving school if Kamal works within your catchment area… Anyone can pass their driving test, you just need to have confidence in yourself and the correct instructor!

Fantastic experience: I don't tend to write reviews but I had such a great experience with 1st Driving School. I had Dan as my instructor and he is amazing! He is super kind, patient, professional and punctual. After having such bad experiences with previous instructors, Dan made me feel comfortable and made every driving lesson fun. Dan's invaluable knowledge and endless encouragement really helped me to become a more confident driver. Because of him I can proudly say I passed my test with 5 minors! Thank you Dan!

Fantastic experience: My time spent with my instructor, Steve, was everything and more i could’ve hoped for whilst learning to drive. Steve was patient, kind, funny and clever in the way he taught things. There was never any pressure to learn at any other pace but the one that suited you. He made things easy to remember, fun and most importantly enjoyable. I can’t be more grateful for the time steve sacrificed for me to pass over the last few months, and definitely recommend him to anyone who was as desperate to drive as i was, he will 100% get you there and never give up on you. Fantastic experience: 1st driving were able to match me with my instructor, Kamal. Kamal was a very lovely instructor, he was very patient, understanding and would always ask if I had questions, and if i did he would always answer them and never made me feel silly for asking. I had been to two previous instructors from different companies and had failed my driving test twice previously. After only a couple lessons with Kamal I was able to pass my driving test! His availability was great as we were able to work around my busy university exam timetable. I will recommend 1st driving to any of my friends. Thank you Kamal!

Helps make the whole process easier, able to adapt approach to your needs and very encouraging and accommodating. Helps you feel at ease. I struggled with Reverse bay parking and he suggested an adaption to the manoeuvre and nailed it on test. Easy to get on with and helps build your confidence, would 100% recommend.

Fantastic experience: Crystal is a great instructor! She was always friendly, patient and informative, always took the time to properly explain and go through mistakes to help correct habits that i'd picked up from past instructors and got me to a first time pass!

Negative experience: My daughter had an absolutely awful experience. We paid upfront for 10 hours of lessons she was assigned an instructor called Tony Singh who clearly didn't have a clue. He picked her up drove her to a carpark and made her drive around it for the entire lesson. When she asked where they were going on the next lesson he said ‘we’ll go to the car park again’. He didn’t bring her home, he dropped her off around the corner on a completely different street (5 minutes walk away). He also informed her he has 3 weeks of holiday booked over the next four weeks so she wouldn’t be having many lessons over the next month. I phoned the company straight away, they said they couldn’t do anything and would get back to me which they did the following day. I have never been spoken to so rudely in all my life. The horrible woman on the phone tried to tell me my daughter is lying and blamed her rather than being sorry for the terrible experience of my daughter’s first driving lesson. I got my money back for the remaining hours paid and my daughter now has an amazing instructor with a different driving school. Stay away from this awful driving school! There is so much better out there,

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience learning to drive with Arshad.He was very patient and understanding, which really helped me gain confidence, especially since I was driving in a new city. Thanks to his guidance, I was able to pass my test in Colwick.I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a supportive and knowledgeable instructor.

Negative experience: Update: they flagged my rating as fake. The lack of accountability is ridiculous, the driving instructor I had was a temperamental and aggressive man. Angry and wastes your time. I wouldn’t be inclined to leave a review usually, but after cancelling my lessons (because I simply didn’t want to be bullied every lesson) he called simply to argue and shout at me over the phone. Avoid Adiel at all costs. Very unprofessional!

Fantastic experience: I don't usually write reviews. I passed my test last Monday, I had Eric as my instructor and he is absolutely lovely and made me feel comfortable, he is very experienced and tries to tailor to each student's learning pace and style. He is great with letting me know about any slots that have opened up for lessons and has been excellent working around my 9-5 job. Overall I will highly recommend 1st driving and most certainly rooting for Eric! Thank you Eric!

Fantastic experience: Kev was amazing, he got my confidence up and the lessons were so enjoyable. I looked forward to driving every week with him, and he was so calm and fun to learn with. I passed first time with him, and I really could not recommend anyone more than him. If you're looking for an instructor that is super knowledgeable, but also gets you on the road having fun then Kev is your man.

Fantastic experience: I just want to say a big thank you to Andy Kerr!! I failed my test last year in 2023 which I then had to get a new instructor, I was referred to 1st Driving School, which Andy was able to give me lessons as he covered my area. About me, I am very very nervous in test situations, not confident in myself, felt like I wanted to give up in lessons because I can’t stand the nerves but from day 1 Andy had full confidence in me that I will pass my next driving test and that he was confident on ensuring that I build my confidence which in turn, my confidence got better for the next test. I passed my test today! 25/03/2024 with 5 minors I just want to say Thank you!!

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend this driving school, especially Dan Evans. Started lessons 5months ago, and passed 1st time today with only 1 Minor Fault. I honestly wouldn’t have been able to do it without having Dan there teaching me. It was an absolute pleasure being taught by him. His character, and personality is just great. The laughs we had whilst on lessons I’ll never forget, but I still learnt ever so much each and every lesson. He has great patience, understanding, and puts you at ease right from the get-go. It’s bitter sweet now I’ve passed because I will miss our banter and the enjoyment each lesson gave me. He believed in me when I didn’t even believe in myself. I genuinely would recommend Dan and this driving school to everyone, I never had any problems, it’s priced really well, and I’m just pleased I got so lucky with finding an amazing driving school and Driving instructor straight away. Fantastic experience: I could not recommend Kevin Hopps from 1st Driving School more - he is patient, kind and absolutely hilarious which instantly put me at ease. He’s also incredibly knowledgeable about the roads and driving test - for someone who panics a lot this was great and I could’ve asked for a better instructor. Thank you so so much Kev!

Fantastic experience: Julian barker is a amazing instructor from start to finish I couldn’t have done this with out this instructor he’s been amazing with me from day 1 very friendly I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for automatic instructors thank you so much Julian hope to see you around on the roads passed first time with only 1 minor :)

Fantastic experience: In regard to my experience with 1st Driving School Ltd, I have not once encountered a single inconvenience which seriously altered my impression. It has been nothing short of a thrilling journey during both my lessons and driving test. My Instructor, Rafhat Shah was both fair and challenging. He would always make sure that I was well-informed about my vehicle and aware of how to carry out manoeuvres in good time. If there ever was a delay or a sudden cancellation, I would immediately be informed and have the time to comprehend the change. Ever since I passed my test and earned my full driving license, I have been absolutely satisfied with my outcome and would recommend this driving school to a friend or family member.

Fantastic experience: Nadeem is amazing. I passed 1st time with only 2 minors After changing driving instructor and putting of my test, Nadeem gave me the tools to finally pass and gain the confidence to go for it. He helped me with my anxiety and understood how to keep me calm and help me not stress out whilst driving and during my test. 1000% would recommend especially If you are somebody who has been trying to pass for a while.

Fantastic experience: My driving instructor was Adiel Khan who i have been driving with since july, he as a lovely honda e which was a dream to drive! I pass my test first time with 4 minors on 14th november :) adiel is down to earth and we had many laughs along the way. Thanks to 1st driving school for picking right person/car for me!
