Fantastic experience: I chose Data Academy to obtain my Class 2 after a recommendation from a friend at the co-op that has just closed down the road, from walking in to book and meeting Dorian who talked me through the whole process as I was sceptical on who to learn with. Then to go on to meet my instructor Phil who made me feel at ease from the start, we talked all the way through my tutoring and I was made to feel very welcome and comfortable. I did my CPC with Eddie before my driving commenced with Phil and this worked well as I was completely new to this line of work, but again sailed through thanks to Phil and then Eddie who was my CPC test examiner. Then onto my manoeuvring test and again passed first attempt, then onto my actual test today. I was again confident because Phil was with me throughout my lessons with his summer cold but when it came to the test it was a complete stranger but she made me feel comfortable and I passed with flying colours. My instructor was Rodger who I can’t praise enough for passing on his knowledge and support to me, he always remained patient with me even know at times the nerves would get the best of me on test day. He gave me the confidence to book my re tests as did the whole data team. A big thanks also to the office team Dorian helped me with my initial interest in taking the course and throughout the whole process and Rachel organised all the theory tests and provided me with all the relative learning via an app. I can’t recommend data Academy enough they went above and beyond and the whole team only want you to succeed.

Negative experience: You need to teach your drivers about speeding. I've witnessed them speeding many times in Glenfield. Shocking, unsafe and disgusting behaviour!

Fantastic experience: Would like to say that I can't recommend the team at data academy enough. They have a really friendly down to earth attitude, without any of the corporate nonsense speak that many these places can have. I have been have sessions with Roger who is extremely patient with me, as I know I have some habits that I have struggled to crush, but I'll get there! This is to say nothing of the training style, which is impeccable and I can't fault in any way. I failed my first C+E test today, but after taking on some words of encouragement from Roger and Dorian, I am going to have one more crack at it. If you are starting your HGV journey, please put data academy at the top of your list. They won't take money off you unfairly, and they will make sure you are taking the right path. No messing around. Straight up team of people and would recommend without hesitating. ALSO! MAKE SURE YOU DO THE 1 HOUR ASSESSMENT DRIVE. WORTH EVERY PENNY!! Fantastic experience: They will truly change your life, passed my C+E test on the first go. Roger ( my instructor) is extremely knowledgeable but you will not feel pushed to do something you are not comfortable with. Just remember one thing: if you fail that’s on you. Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Data academy, I passed after a couple of tries. My advice to any of the over thinkers out there, don't focus on the routes, focus on the roads and how to use them. All of the instructors are great, Dorian is very friendly and much more honest and open than other training providers. Also, even though drivers are in demand, you have to work to get a job. Don't be picky, it took around a month but I have a job now after a couple of trial days with them.

All units are clean and well maintained with full length trailers which was one of the main reasons I chose Data, you need to learn with what you will be using in any potential job! Fantastic experience: I found this company after being given a personal recommendation and despite them being over an hour drive away from me I went to visit them. So glad I did, from my very first assessment drive through to passing my C+E I found them all to be professional, knowledgeable and above all great fun. As a motorcycle instructor for the past 26 years I thought I knew a bit about training (nothing about driving trucks); however, I am pleased to say I also learnt a lot about teaching styles and methods. Whatever instructor I had, who all had their different styles, they pretty quickly cottoned on to my learning style and made sure that they were getting the best out of me. It was a bit strange being the student after all these years, but my experiences go to show that every day is a school day. I will certainly take away not just my new licence but also some useful training tips and techniques that I can utilise. Oh and I should also mention the office staff who excellently catered to my every need, whether that be rearranging dates, assisting with my paperwork, sorting my theory test or even just a friendly chat. Fantastic experience: C+E passed first time! All thanks to these lot. All are very easy to get along with, good banter but also keeping it professional…enough . This made it easy to settle in and feel at ease. All the equipment was in good condition and they have their own site for the vehicle reversing and decoupling which made it stress free learning. Can’t big these lot up enough, so don’t bother booking elsewhere!

Times are very beneficial and work around your schedule. The instructors are time served and offer professional guidance to help you pass your test. Instead of training you just for your test they train you to be an overall better driver. Very much recommended.

Dorian at Data was recommended to me by a friend who knows his lorries etc. From the first contact possibly nearly two years ago now, these guys have been nothing short of awesome. Fitting in the theory tests (four of them) and then the 3a and 3b around my work commitments has been a logistical conundrum that they were happy to work with. This is not an organisation that is only interested in taking your money. They want to help you succeed and pass. My instructor Phil was just the best. His calm manner at all times helped me learn my way around a HGV with ease. What a superstar he is. Thank you, Phil. All the team are great. Jason, Eddie, even Roger is alright - thankfully I didn't have to listen to him sing any Harry Styles tunes. The admin support in the office supporting Dorian is focussed on helping you get to where you need to. It's been a laugh all the way along and being treated like human and not a number means I can only highly recommend Data Academy to anyone looking to get some training under their belt. Fantastic experience: I tend to struggle with the social side of life and meeting new people, so in the days leading up to my training for my class 1 truck test I was already a bit wound up and overthinking things. However upon arriving at data academy, every single person who worked there wether they were anything to do with your training or not were so happy and helpful and welcoming that my fear and worries soon started disappearing. For me personally this was massive. My instructor for the week was spot on aswell made me feel at ease and soon put all my doubts away leaving me to concentrate on the job at hand, happy to say I passed my test 1st time all thanks to the effort the team at data went through. Fantastic group of people to do any training with. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Got my HGV class 1 (Artic) license through DATA ACADEMY. They gave me detailed explanations on which license to go for. An option of payment by installment was offered which was very good for most of us that doesn't have a deep pocket. During my practical training, I was engulfed with personal issues which affected my performance. Data Academy and my instructor Roger discovered and kept encouraging me not to give up, He didn't tell me what I would like to hear, he was firm and direct to me which helped me to rediscover my objective. I regained my determination and never gave up. All their instructors are super and very friendly. They will give you the best training, and help you build your confidence. Fantastic experience: I've just completed my Catory C training with Data. I'm pleased to say I came away with a pass on my first attempt too. As a Transport Manager, I have been using Data's services for our Warehouse to Wheels programme, where the quality of training they give is second to none. Dorian, Rachel, and the rest of the office staff make you very welcome. They moved mountains to fit me in as I had a limited time to get my licence. Fantastic experience: Excellent, just passed my my class c today. I'm not normally one for giving or reading reviews but on this occasion ill make the effort. Absolutely brilliant from start to finish, the way they set your training up to booking your test, data academy are different in many areas but one of the key points is, they pre buy tests, now for them this is a bit risky as they may not have a pupil on test on that day, but they still continue to pre book tests, so I started my training on the friday and my test was already booked for the Thursday , then I failed my 1st attempt (missed a weight restriction sign post) and they already had pre booked tests, so we're able to get me a re test 10 days later rather than 3 months later. The trainers were brilliant, I had Nick and Eddie, both diffrent people with diffrent styles but both Excellent, it really doesn't matter which instructor you get, Then there's the office staff Dorian and Rachel that organise you from start to finish and if you fail, pick you up put you on your feet get you a re test, give you more training where required etc. Can't speak highly enough, I checked out 3 others before settling on Data academy, I strongly advise you just got with Data Academy. I didn't regret it and neither will you. 10/10

Fantastic experience: When I first rang to enquire about learning to drive a HGV, they were very confident in their knowledge about what was the best way to move forward and which course to enrol on, I wanted to do Class 1 but was advised to do Class 2 and that was definitely the best way forward, From the start till finish Eddie made me feel comfortable about learning to drive a Class 2 lorry, he was professional and taught in a methodical way. I would highly recommend Data Academy, every one who works there was friendly and welcoming and I passed first time.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended by a friend to use Data Academy after I had been to Hughes driver training and had a bad experience. I wish I had come to Data Academy first. What a difference, from the first phone call with Dorian who explained everything and gave me options. He gave me dates and times of tests available and the price. I only had to put down 25% to secure the booking. Unlikes Hughes who want you to pay 100% upfront without any dates. Data Academy always answer the phone or ring you straight back and are happy to answer any questions. I only had a short window to get everything done, my instructor Eddie was firm with me but friendly at the same time and was a great instructor and quickly changed some bad habits that I had got. I found the difference between the 2 companies were like night and day, you travelled a lot further with Data Academy, taking you to lots of different situations giving you a better understanding on what to do. The trucks were in a lot better condition too. This just goes to show the bigger company isn’t always best. I can’t thank Data Academy enough the whole team are fantastic and I will be staying in touch with them for any further training I may want to do.

Fantastic experience: I have recently attended Data Academy to complete my C+E Training and 35hrs of Driver CPC training. I have to say that from the intial phone call right through to the end Dorian & Rachel were extremely helpful, my instructor Phill was great, he is very calm and relaxed and explains things very clearly.The wagons are clean and tidy and nice to drive Nigel the driver cpc instructor is good at what he does and the facillities are very good. On the whole i would recommend Data Academy to anyone that is looking for HGV training and would like to thank them for all the help I received.

Fantastic experience: Where do I start, looking at lorry’s thinking how can I possibly drive that? Starting my first day with data academy I was welcomed by all with friendly faces and was instantly made to feel relaxed! Out with my instructor (Eddie) who was brilliant from day 1 to day 4 teaching and learning me to drive class 2. Passing 1st time on day 5 all thanks to data academy and there very well trained polite and funny clan of staff! Would recommend to anyone looking to learn to drive! Thanks a lot guys
