Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend Bennetts after passing my test first time. Jon was a great instructor with a philosophy of getting stuck in, of course while staying safe, and this suited my learning style well. They are also good at organising your test booking and can often move it forwards to skip the months-long wait time.

Fantastic experience: Recently passed with Jon as my instructor. The fact I managed to pass when going through a test route I wasn't very familiar with is a testament to his ability to build your ability as a driver, not just as a learner who was very familiar with the routes and scraped through. He's an exceptional instructor who displays everything you would want in the role. He's calm, clear and very knowledgeable. He provides succinct explanations of all aspects necessary to pass the test. You always feel able to ask questions no matter how stupid, and his friendly and relaxed demeanor helps build skills and confidence in tandem. You'd be mad not to request him! My partner wanted to learn in an automatic, but Jon was so good I insisted she learn with him in a manual too.

Fantastic experience: After working with three different driving schools/instructors over the span of 10 years (on and off learning...never intensive) I finally buckled down and wrote to Bennett's for helping me pass a manual test. So very glad I did - the lessons from Dale got me sorted and helped me over the line passing on my first try with four minors. Fantastic experience: Just passed my test with Jon as an instructor and would highly recommend to others. He was very patient and friendly to work with, he also managed to build up my confidence greatly after a failed test in another area. Michaela and everyone in the has also been very friendly and responsive with scheduling lessons, even letting me pay in instalments for intensive courses which significantly helped financially. At first, I had regular lessons on weekdays, but due to work, I changed to an Intensive course. Bennetts were brilliant with communication the entire time, and even let me pay for the intensive course in installments. Fantastic experience: After failing my test pre-Covid era , I decided to do an intensive course with Bennett’s and it was the best decision I have made, booked my lessons easy and quick was put with an instructor who suited my needs and they knew the type of teacher I needed. They gave me JON and the whole week intensive was perfect. Lessons were enjoyable, positive and constructive as to what I was doing well and what I needed to work on before my test. In the test I was nervous but I passed and I can’t thank Bennett’s enough for putting me on the road with a full licence.

Fantastic experience: I had a really great experience with Bennetts. Jon was an incredible instructor throughout- extremely friendly, patient, knowledgeable and just a pure joy to chat with throughout all my lessons (lessons felt like going out for a drive with a friend who just happened to also be an excellent teacher). As my test date grew closer he went the extra mile for me and agreed to do an extra lesson outside of his usual working hours just to help in building confidence and momentum in the few days leading up to my second test. Michela and all the team in the office were so quick and efficient in booking in lessons and making the administrative side of things straightforward and painless. I can't thank Jon and the team enough for making this as simple and enjoyable an experience as it could have been. Despite being happy to have passed, I will miss my weekly lessons with Jon! I couldn't recommend Bennetts more :)

Fantastic experience: I passed my test first time last week after taking a five week course at Bennetts! My instructor was Mark - he was a fantastic teacher, very patient and gave extremely detailed and constructive feedback. He really helped to build my confidence with driving as well as making the lessons truly enjoyable. Fantastic experience: Passed first time with this brilliant driving school, the office was fantastic and extremely professional. They were fast to communicate and arrange lessons and a test before I expected to get one. During the lesson with my brilliant instructor Jon I always felt comfortable and safe and he was good at progressing the lessons in a way that builds confidence and driving skill. After passing first time, what I’ll lose an instructor, I’ll gain as a friend - we’ll stay in touch. I can’t recommend this driving school and the overall experience with Jon enough.

Negative experience: Gave this a 3 star review and then revised to 1 star (could not find anything lower!) - as a business that says 'the review is pointless' clearly is not customer centric! This school offers only manual driving lessons! Long list of services listed online but doesn’t say they offer lessons on only manual cars! Wasted 2 min of my life to call and find out!

Fantastic experience: Bennetts is an amazing driving school. As someone with a lot of anxiety around driving, I am so pleased to have had such a great experience learning to drive. Passed my test with Jon, who was an excellent and patient instructor that really encouraged me and helped build my confidence on the road! I had lessons with both Jon and Dale, and both were great instructors. Michaela was also excellent at scheduling lessons around my availability and making any changes needed. I had issues due to my location and lack of transport into the Cambridge area for lessons, but Jon was able to meet me at home, even though I was outside of the area Bennetts normally cover, which was incredibly helpful. I felt that the people at Bennetts truly care about their learners and not only teaching them to drive, but building their self confidence too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bennetts to anyone wanting to learn to drive, I can't imagine a better experience!

Fantastic experience: Delighted to pass my test after lessons with Jon at Bennets driving school. I was unlucky with a previous driving instructor from another company who knocked my confidence but Jon was patient, kind and gave me lots of tools and helpful advice to improve my driving skills. Would 100% recommend having lessons with Jon!

Fantastic experience: I learned to drive with Jon from Bennetts, the service was great and always they were very responsive if u had any issue. Jon was patient and kind, i went to the driving test confident that i knew everything and confident about my driving. Very good service. highly recommendable.

Negative experience: My daughter was booked in for the 5 days course, and was unable to complete all the hours in the scheduled dates. I called to discuss rescheduling the 8 hours she was unable to complete, and was told the instructor is not available without me even discussing the dates, as these were going to be a few weeks down the line. There was no refund given or offered, even though there was 8 hours of lessons not taken. This meaning the fuel for the car and the wear and tear was not used but still taken in full. The instructor also finished 1 of the days early because he had another lesson elsewhere, and no refund or explanation has been offered.

Fantastic experience: Bennetts are a fantastic driving school . They were always so helpful in arranging lessons for my son and especially when organising his tests! Paul his instructor was patient and gave my son confidence when needed. Would highly recommend this driving school and the whole team that work there.

Fantastic experience: Passed with Jon after about 15 hours of lessons. He was very patient, calm and a great teacher - really helped to increase my confidence as I had previously been very nervous after failing my test twice several years ago with a different instructor. The office were also great and super efficient/responsive so got everything organised very easily.

Fantastic experience: I had a very good experience learning from Mr.David Lewis at Bennets intensive. His intention is to teach you to be a good and safe driver who can confidently handle different kinds of driving situations, and not just pass the test. The admin team were quite responsive over email and they also helped in booking my test. They promptly reached out to me after I failed the test in the first attempt and scheduled more lessons and booked another test for me. I and Mr.David noted down the feedback from the initial fail and worked on those points and passed in the second attempt. Currently they do lessons in manual cars only, it would be great if they could offer automatic car lessons as well.

Fantastic experience: Bennett’s were incredibly helpful and the intensive period of lessons really worked for me and my schedule. I highly recommend Jon as he was pushed me to improve in a patient and supportive manner. I was quite anxious after a bad experience with a different company but yesterday I passed first time after five weeks with Dave! Michela in the office was fab as well - quick communication and super organised!

Fantastic experience: I just passed the test with Jon as my instructor he has been very helpful and understanding during learning he was also very motivating before my test and gave me some very helpful tips I would highly recommended him. Bennetts staff has been very professional and responsive. My only complain is the director addressing me in a bit of a rude way when test was due for payment when there was uncertainty about the test going through due to a strike.

Fantastic experience: Before Bennetts, I felt quite anxious driving due to past experiences and was also finding it hard to get another test/ instructor. Then, my friend recommended Bennetts to me and the communication was so quick and smooth. I was quickly able to start lessons thanks to Michela and she was even able to find me a test slot without much of a wait. I had Jon as an instructor and he was so patient and friendly. He was able to point out my mistakes and communicate them to me in a very clear way without ever making me feel bad for making mistakes. Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Bennetts Intensive Driving School. My instructor was Jon and he had helped me build my confidence and my skill in driving. Before, I had negative experiences from another instructor from a different driving school, which made me feel anxious when driving and my confidence had dropped. But since driving with Jon my confidence has improved and I feel more relaxed when driving. Both Helga and Michela in the office were very helpful with scheduling my lessons around uni and work and were able to book a test for me. Fantastic experience: I tried learning with another school (the one everyone jokes about being slow motorists) during the pandemic and it didn't go well - lots of tutting at mistakes than providing useful feedback. Some lockdown cancellations by the DVSA, instructor not reserving car for the test and some illnesses but I wasn't *that* confident at 80 hours. Stopped learning at the start of 2022. Then I did 20 hours with Paul in the autumn of 2023 and it was a different story. Michela at Bennetts managed to find me a cancellation test in December. It was a super fast process. Passed with a couple of minors. Now I'm whizzing around (within the speed limit, obvs) and driving like it's the most natural thing in the world. Still rush myself and turn a little too early for the forward bay, mind. Great service, helpful instructor and the price was only a little bit dearer (less after inflation) than the orange driving school. Would recommend Bennetts over some of the more well known schools. I should have tried here first time around really... If you're on the fence about them or think using the calendar system on the other schools/chains is more convenient, I'd urge you to give Bennetts a call instead.

Fantastic experience: I did a semi-intensive course over the period of ~3 months as I was juggling work at the same time. The lessons were quickly booked around the schedule I gave them with extra lessons before my test. Jon was my driving instructor and he was very patient and knowledgeable. He managed to put me at ease as I was very anxious about learning to drive initially. I managed to pass my test first time which I never thought I'd achieve! Whilst I was learning, I recommended Bennetts to a friend who failed their driving test and was struggling to learn and they also passed soon after. I'd highly recommend Bennetts!

Fantastic experience: I would definitely recommend Bennetts for those who want to learn to drive. I did a semi-intensive programme (roughly 4 hours a week) and was able to pass first time within 3 months. The company was very professional and organised, booking in my lessons and test immediately so that I had a structured approach. I had Jon as my driving instructor who was great throughout. He was incredibly calm and patient and we got on really well. He took any stress out of the driving lessons and instead made them something that I looked forward to. He was also able to identify any areas I was struggling on and made sure these were fully ironed out before the test so that I had the best chance of passing as possible. 5 stars. Fantastic experience: I recently completed some intensive lessons with Bennett's and I cannot express how pleased I am with the whole experience. I had 2 driving tests with lessons from two different instructors previously in another city 8 years ago, but I was able to pass my first attempt in Cambridge first time with Bennett's. Every person that I dealt with at the driving school was extremely professional, helpful, friendly, and responsive. Michela and Helga in the office were able to explain all of the different options available to me for booking and scheduling lessons. They always responded promptly to any query and made me feel comfortable from the very beginning. Michela was able to schedule my lessons around my very tight work schedule and was able to find me test cancellations so that I could sit my test as soon as possible. My initial assessment lesson with Paul was extremely helpful, after discussing my previous driving experience, he took me around the test routes, asked me to perform some maneuvers and offered me advice to improve. After my initial assessment I was recommended a small amount of hours that Paul felt I would need to be fully test ready due to my previous driving experience. Once I had my test booking, Michela was able to book in my intensive lessons with Jon who was available for dates around my test date. Jon is an outstanding driving instructor who was extremely professional with a very calm and collected demeanor. He is hugely knowledgeable, offering great advice and tips on how I could improve my driving technique while also making me feel comfortable with the Cambridge test routes. Jon was very patient and friendly, we were able to have great discussions while driving around the test routes and I would look forward to my lessons with him. I cannot recommend him enough!

Fantastic experience: I had great experience learning to drive with Jon. I went from being super anxious and afraid to actually passing first time ! Jon taught me all the skills and techniques I needed to pass my driving test with confidence. Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Bennetts! I started driving lessons in a different area, but had the best teaching from Dale and Jon in Cambridge. Both instructors have several years of experience and are great at what they do - calm, clear at explaining and easy to talk to on intensive lessons which can last many hours. A special shout out and thank you to Jon, who I passed my test with. On the administrative side of things, Bennetts are highly responsive and helpful. I had most contact with Michela, who handled everything perfectly.

Fantastic experience: Best driving school ever! (and I have tried a few in Cambridgeshire area) I can't recommend Jon more. Exceptional teaching with no fuzz, no unnecessary stress, very professional and knowledgeable. I was a nervous learner after a couple negative experiences with instructors in other driving schools but being taught by Jon helped me get my confidence back very quickly and I passed my test with only four minor faults in no time. Excellent place to learn as well if you are not a young driver and have a very busy life. Communications with Michela to arrange appointments were a pleasure, efficient and very nice as well. If you want to get the best chance to pass your test and you want a good learning experience, I recommend that you learn at Bennetts Intensive Driving School!

I came to Bennetts as an experienced driver on a foreign license who needed to learn manual, and they were able to appropriately assess my abilities and schedule only as many lessons as I needed to pass. Dave did an assessment and then had sessions over a short period of time to prepare her for the test. He was very patient and calm during the lessons. She passed the test first time! Fantastic experience: I had such a great experience with Bennetts! They were very understanding and professional, fit me in very quickly and made sure I had as many lessons as I wanted/needed. I had Jon, honestly such a lovely man he was calm and patient and covered everything and anything I would ever need, just all-round a great instructor. I'd failed once before with 3 majors and had a lot of nerves and apprehension going into it again but after lessons with Jon and Bennetts I passed with only 3 minors. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I failed a few driving driving tests but then I had a few lessons with Jon and was able to finally pass so I would definitely recommend Bennet's as their lessons are very helpful at gaining some more confidence when driving.

Fantastic experience: I was quite nervous when I started my driving lessons as I've had some bad experiences in the past. However, Lee was quite patient and very helpful throughout and put me at ease while driving. Also, Lee being a good teacher helped me to learn from my mistakes and in turn got me over the line. Fantastic experience: I learned to drive from Jan - Mar this year and ended up passing first time, despite having been a very nervous learner. This is thanks to the diligent teaching of Dave and the very helpful top up lessons I had with Bob when I got closer to my test date, which really improved my confidence. Accommodating, warm, so helpful coming out of the Covid back log and managing longer waiting times and lesson changes. Fantastic experience: I am writing to give a full mark for Bennetts Intensive! I remain truly grateful for all efforts from each of the instructors who taught me driving from the very beginning to the successful driving test received today!! Because of the intensive driving lessons, I have learnt from time to time and become experienced, not just driving skills but more about driving safely. When I failed my driving tests, my lead instructor cheered me up and sought a variety of solutions; and the number of major/minor faults went down markedly until I get my pass this morning. Highly recommended!!!

Fantastic experience: Couldn't recommend this driving school more! I had lessons with Dave last summer to get me started, who was great at getting me up to speed and a good guy overall. I then came back to Cambridge this week for my test and had 3 lessons with Mark. Mark was a pleasure to have as an instructor - calm and collected but usefully straight to the point when a mistake was made. Great to chat to throughout the lessons too, particularly if you're a cricket fan! Thanks to the professionalism and high instructing quality of Mark and Dave, I passed first time today with 4 minors. So I don't have a bad word to say about Bennetts Intensive! I would highly recommend if you're looking for driving lessons in Cambridge.

A sign of excellent service is that even when facing industry-wide and global challenges (in the form of Covid), the client/customer STILL receives the best service available. I made the right choice by choosing them, I haven't had any problems, every penny spent was worth it (you get what you pay for) and they are always there to answer your enquiries. Fantastic experience: Could not have asked for better. Great tuition, and the organisation and admin was brilliant. They worked around timings of lessons, and were amazing at finding bookings for practical tests. My son went from 1st ever lesson to passed his practical in under 4 months.

Fantastic experience: The whole team at Bennetts have been excellent! Michela was very organised and helpful in changing around dates/pick up locations when required. Lee was a kind and expert instructor who helped my son to pass his test on the first attempt. I will definitely ask Bennetts to help when it's my next child's turn to learn! UPDATE: My daughter passed yesterday on her first attempt! Once again Lee was an excellent instructor and Michela provided efficient and helpful organisation of lessons and some last minute changes! Fantastic experience: My instructor was really great. He is patient and encouraging, always pick me up on time and never answer phones when I was driving, never verbally abusive. The car was new and always in good condition. The Bennetts Driving School organized all the lessons and tests quite well, replied my email promptly and politely. I can not recommend Bennetts anymore. Btw, the UK road test should be the hardest in the world. So, no worry if you failed at the first time.

Fantastic experience: Past First Time, the whole Team at Bennetts were calm, helpful and responsive. It has been a difficult time to get a quality drive instructor who was able to help post covid so I contacted Bennetts. This was the best thing I did as they have been very supportive, they respond quickly to any concerns or changes made along the way and got my son through his test first time. He had one main instructor who he found great and sampled another, due to illness at the Test Centre, who was also super. I would highly recommend. I would also trust them to get you through on their experience.
