I had 0 riding experience prior to booking in with these guys and I have now passed my full licence with 0 minors. Very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. Fantastic experience: I want to say a big thank you to everyone at Shires, especially my instructor Stu who was amazing. The training was made simple and clear, and was delivered in a professional yet friendly way which put my nerves completely to rest. I cannot say enough to justify how good my experience has been with Shires and Stu in particular, except to say that after doing my CBT, I booked again with Stu to do my CBT+ (which again was amazing and very useful to anyone who is thinking about doing one) and now I'm sorting out my DAS course. Highly recommended, 5 stars from me.

Fantastic experience: ***** DAS COURSE + CBT+ ***** - Can’t recommend Shires enough. Found the whole bike license system confusing but with this course everything is made easy and simple. Only ever having done my CBT at 16, I was a bit worried I might not be ready to take on this course but it’s more than enough so well worth the money. The course took little than 2 months to complete but this could be done even quicker if you wanted it to. Everyone who works here are really helpful and welcoming. I had Andy/Ian/Gary as instructors. They were all spot on throughout training and at most there is only 2 of you at once so you get plenty of 1 to 1 training. All of this, made it easier knowing you was going into your MOD 1 & 2 tests with zero worries. Helmets/Gloves/Jackets are all provided which is a bonus, as well as the little things like a drinks/food machine to use during breaks. Any doubts I'd just give them a call, they're more than happy to help.

Fantastic experience: Don't know where to start had a fabulous time with all the team everybody's so friendly helpful and informative for me just getting out on the roads with a bike is a major plus for me but to be given constructive information from start to finish with out it being patronising or feel like I am being told off was amazing to brush up my techniques and learn how to ride how the examiners are expecting you too on the day cbt passed flying colours mod one flawless run and mod 2 back to station in 28 mins with another flawless run all the training needed is at your finger tips with shires motorcycle training school top class school thumbs up from me many thanks too all @ the shires ,simeon munroe

Always felt supported and the staff took the time to help us learn at our own pace. Was a great day. Free tea and coffee and they supply all the bike gear you need for the training. Fantastic experience: Just complete my a2 with shires. I wanted to to get it done as quick as possible and they were extremely helpful with booking and availability. I managed to get everything done within a month! As for the training itself getting a motorcycle license is a long process with various tests and training days but they made it super easy. I had various instructors who were all very experienced and great at pointing out areas to improve my riding which made me feel comfortable and confident. I would highly recommend Shires for getting your motorcycle license.

Fantastic experience: Best motorbike training in the midlands area by far! I went for mod 2 training and test. Instructor took me around the area and made sure I was aware of any tricky parts. He made me feel very relaxed and confident. I did my mod 2 and passed first time! This was the third motorbike training school I went to in the Midlands area and was by far the best one! I wish I had gone here to start with. Honestly I would really recommend going here and not anywhere else! Training is far superior and instructors made me feel relaxed and confident.

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT with my sister at the weekend. Absolutely amazing day !… I want to do it again I had that much fun. Amazing instructor Stu who without a doubt made the whole experience fun and entertaining. I can’t wait to go back and do my full bike test. Fantastic experience: I had an awesome time doing my CBT motorcycle training today! Stu, my on-road instructor, was an absolute legend. He made everything super fun while being really instructive. Ben, who taught us the maneuvers and technical stuff, was amazing too. He explained everything so clearly and added a fun twist to it all, always reminding us about road safety. Overall, it was an amazing experience. If you're thinking about doing CBT training, I highly recommend it—especially with Stu and Ben!

Negative experience: Is there any check and balance on the receptionist lady.she take 15-20 minutes to serve one person and the person in the queue get frustrated.Please sort it out as you guys are loosing customer like me.

Fantastic experience: I had my CBT organised through work on 11/06/24 and it was a great experience overall. My thanks to all of the staff I met and our instructor, Ben. Ben was very experienced, approachable and reassuring. He really helped me to get past early bad habits and build my confidence in my abilities. After my inital nerves, Ben helped me to improve and I feel sure that because of his tutelage, I will be safe on the roads. He won't be winning the X-Factor any time soon though!

Fantastic experience: Went for my CBT today, the team here are 2nd to none with there attitude and training techniques. Very friendly and competent. They have excellent facilities and equipment. If you want to learn, don't hesitate get booked in and enjoy.

Fantastic experience: A wonderful school. The staff are very personable and knowledgeable, able to give on the fly adjustments and corrections while still keeping their cool. Got my CBT done just recently there, and was really surprised how quickly we went from walking in to zipping around a practise course. It got the 'scary' aspect of getting on a bike for the first time out of the way so I could focus on learning to truly be in control. I still have some more practise to do, and I will. But they instilled the skills I need to ensure I can handle myself with confidence while not being a hazard to other drivers and while keeping myself safe out there.

Fantastic experience: The best training place in Leicestershire !! From the moment I called Theresa, to ask if I could do the training for mod 1 and mod 2 . This was the only place that would let me do the training as I’m disabled ! All the instructors are great , make you feel relaxed and teach you everything you need to know , Tom the owner went out his way for me to order extended foot pedal and alternate methods Lee the instructor for my cbt was amazing! Ian the instructor trained me for mod 1 and mod 2 , what a great bloke he is , and great instructor , wouldn’t have passed so quick if it wasn’t for him !! they are all a great team and I thank you you all for giving me the chance to do it , I passed no minors !!! Thank you to the whole team for giving me a new lease of life !

Fantastic experience: Just completed my CBT with Shires and the staff and the environment is immaculate. Clear instructions were given the whole time and instructor Ben made it simple to get my course completed. The front desk manager and the few others I met including those who I trained with were all wonderful people and I’m thankful for such a great day.

Fantastic experience: I had a very productive and enjoyable day doing my CBT rider renewal with the instructor called Ian. He is a very experienced instructor and is able to point out where things will go wrong and is able to help correct these mistakes. Shires have always shown me that they have a great knowledge of road and bike safety and they will be able to help you with a happy and very friendly service. 10/10 would recommend, and just remember if you do go for a CBT, your going to make mistakes. I even ended up dropping a bike on accident but they had no issue about it as these things are meant to happen at the end of the day :)

Fantastic experience: A great company to deal with! I did all my training and tests with them this year. When I first rang up to enquire Teresa was very helpful and answered every question I had. I then started with my CBT with Dave & Tom which was a very enjoyable and informative day. I then went onto my MOD 1 & MOD 2 training with ANDY who was a fantastic instructor, he ironed out a lot of my faults and habits quickly and made the training a really great experience. Would definitely recommend the Shires to anyone!!!

Fantastic experience: I had my CBT + today. I arrived extremely nervous and full of anxiety, however, Gary put me at ease from the very start. I had a superb day, the manner in which he instructed me, the advice and guidance he gave was so natural, which filled me with confidence throughout the ride. Fantastic experience: There guys smashed it and got my full A licence in a day and half with training. IF your SERIOUS about riding and getting on the road get in touch with these My previous training centre just couldn't fulfil my needs so a friend of mine referred me to shires and luckily enough they were keen to help and had to do a CBT+ Which showed I was competent on the bikes. Nothing against (black country) but the test dates were just unachievable for what I wanted. Gary, what can I say, top bloke can't fault him for anything he was always talking to you letting you know what was going on if you could do better he would push you go in a good way it might not be for everyone but he can be the judge of that. So that was on Tuesday and Wednesday I had my mod1 at 8am. Even Pete the examiner at the test centre asked me if I wanna do my mod2. There were 2 spaces available and I walked out to Gary who was on the phone to the office who were already looking into it. They Were all very keen which worked out great. They got me booked on the same day for 3pm but again they managed to move things around and got there at 1pm and came away happy. So, these days it was me and a friend who both came together. They got us back to back not saying it's gonna work out for everyone like that but you don't know unless you make that call.

Fantastic experience: Came all the way from Birmingham after trying a well known motorcycle training school in the ‘Black Country’. The guys over here are absolutely brilliant, I went for my full A License and passed both tests on the same day. After previously failing my Mod 1 I was looking to get it done ASAP, and my previous school couldn’t accommodate to my needs. My previous school advised I’m looking at a month before I can retake my test which in my opinion is not ideal. I checked what areas could have potential earlier test dates and it led me to Shires. Phoned the guys up and they accommodated me greatly. I told them exactly what I need and they sorted it all out. My instructor was Gary and honestly, can’t say one bad thing about him. His approach to teaching is amazing, just lets you get on with it and doesn’t make you feel like he’s watching your every move. I had my first lesson on the Tuesday, just to show I am a competent rider and they are happy for me to proceed with my tests. Then on Wednesday, I had my Mod 1 at 8:30 and passed. Then straight after as luck would have it there were two slots for a Mod 2 which I then also passed. Another point to note is that I also went with my friend and they accommodated us both so we did our lessons together and our tests back to back! If anyone is serious about riding and wants to get it done as quick as possible whilst gaining the correct skills to do so, i will only ever recommend this place. Thank you again!

As a female that had a really bad experience with a local track company I was understandably very nervous revisiting my bike test again. Right from the booking I was made to feel at ease. The Instructors are patient, understanding, polite, very experienced and confidence building ! I am also quite short which is a huge concern for most females - but at The Shires - no problem at all!! Bikes for shorties too :) Even when I was struggling they tried different ways to get me through things and remained calm and professional at all times. I didn’t want my time to end with them. Fantastic experience: Brilliant and friendly instructors. Did my CBT, mod 1 and 2 here with next to no riding experience and they got me through it first time. Highly recommend the CBT+ whether you've ridden a bigger bike or not, it's like having an extra lesson leading up to your full license. Even though I was a tad nervous before my tests, they keep you relaxed and will go through any weak areas you think you have to get you on the road as soon as possible.

Special thanks to Gary who was my instructor, i have a fond memory of our cold ride out on the sunday to the bikers cafe on the A47 and back. Fantastic experience: Shires came highly recommended and they didn’t disappoint. I did the whole lot with them. Taster day, CBT, CBT+, mod 1 & 2. The training was always centred to my abilities and they always found ways to help me improve. I had a range of trainers which can sometimes be an issue. However, they were all patient, knowledgable and most importantly had a sense of humour. Modern bikes, safe clean kit and their own training facilities. All in all m, an excellent experience and I’ll also be doing the enhanced rider course. Many thanks Shires.

Fantastic experience: A friend and I took advantage of Shires' Enhanced Rider Scheme offer, and have just got back from our day's training. I have nothing but praise for the team, and particularly our instructor Ian. Booking was simple, with good availability and a very good price. On arrival, having never used Shires before, it was a highly professional setup, with good quality bikes, gear, and tech for those students doing their CBTs etc. We then spent a day with our instructor Ian, who led us in a friendly, professional and constructive way. Whilst we are both competent and experienced riders, we still had plenty to learn from Ian. Despite more rain than I've seen for months we had a fantastic day and are better riders for it. Fantastic experience: I just finished my CBT and I had an absolute wicked time, my Instructor Ben was a great laugh and took us at our own pace along with make sure everyone was safe and comfortable. The staff and other instructors were really friendly and made sure everyone was well looked after. I would definitely recommend booking your CBT with them as they will make you feel extremely comfortable on the roads. Fantastic experience: A great place to gain experience, training and necessary skills to ride all sorts of bikes. Each and every member of the team is extremely friendly. You feel one of them, the moment you walk in. They make you feel very comfortable and their teaching style is comparable to any high standard educational institution in the world. I was struggling with few things and the training team focused on those points until I gained expertise to perform those manoeuvres. Special thanks to Andy the Ace, Gary the Great one and Gary the Genius one and only Teresa the Top lady. Guys thank you so much and keep up the good work. You are all doing an amazing job. I only named those whom I interacted with but I saw other instructors dealing with other learners in the same fashion and they seemed as good as the names aforementioned - that must be norm there, I believe. Shires is the place to go for your motorbike training and 100% pass unless you mess it up yourselves.

Fantastic experience: A bit late to share my review but here goes.... did my full bike license course with Shires last year (2022). I started in May with the CBT and passed the mod 2 on July the 4th, all theory tests and practical tests passed 1st time. Training was excellent, with superb tips on how to ride and pass the tests, making everything straight forward and easy to understand. The bikes (if I remember right) were all brand new and all maintained really well. Could not fault the training school, would definitely recommend the school to anyone wishing to do their bike training and get their license.

Fantastic experience: Have just taken my full test training with the shires. The best instructors who fill you with confidence and really make you believe you can do it! Massive shout out to Ian and Andy who I had, both were amazing and taught me so many different things about the bike I was riding. Pleased to say I passed both modules with only 1 minor on each. I even got my module 2 test brought forwards, the whole team is so so helpful. Amazing people and can't wait to ride over on my new bike to catch up with you all. Would 1000% recommend.

From CBT to full A licences, they are amazing the knowledge and experience they have is outstanding, For me I found it extremely difficult to do some manoeuvres but was shown ways to ride and skills I never thought of before - all this support and help guided me through and get by my mods and achieve my full licence, thank you guys so much !!!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant, been riding for yrs but due to DVLA mess up...had to do complete test. Learnt a lot n got rid of bad habits...trainers all great blokes. If you can't pass with this company...you never will ! Lovely people to deal with...n ..the coffee is good too !

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t recommended shires enough! Made me feel so welcome and part of the biking community as soon as I stepped foot in the reception! The girls on reception were always so helpful and never hard to get hold of! I worked with Ned, Carl, Nigel, Ian & Andy through my course from my CBT to passing my mod 2 and they were all top class instructors!! I’ll say it again you HAVE to go to shires for your motorbike training! P.S When can I become an instructor?

Fantastic experience: Fantastic Motorcycle School. Every step was brilliant from the first time I called and spoke with Theresa to when I passed my MOD 2 with Gary. Ian was a great instructor for my MOD 1. Whatever he tells you, just do it, you will pass with flying colors. What he says WORKS! Gary gave me some real neat tricks for my MOD 2 which I will always remember. Shout out to Ned and Carl who are fantastic CBT instructors. Very patient. Tom what a great place you have made, will always recommend Shires!
