Fantastic experience: tashfeen was my instructor she was so lovely and she helped me so much with my driving. she was rlly good at talking me through everything and helped relax my nerves. if i ever made a mistake she always made sure i was ok first and helped me understand where i went wrong. she did so much to help me find a test and to help fully prepare me for it, would 100% recommend her and A1 driving to everyone!!

He was friendly, courteous and professional, tailoring lesson plans to my skill level for me to learn progressively, and would always patiently explain faults or potential improvements, allowing me to understand them from my own point of view and better my driving beyond the standard of the test. He would put my interests and needs first, and prioritised my wishes when it came to lesson planning, often allowing me to get extra practice in areas where I felt I needed it. And his encyclopaedic knowledge of roads around Derby also allowed me to practice specific driving skills in suitable environments, and for lesson plans to be adapted to traffic conditions as well as my needs. He knew exactly what to focus on and where my issues were but made an effort to help me discover them for myself so I could also help myself. He is the most professional in his approach demonstrating in-depth knowledge and experience in his field. Fantastic experience: RAV!! What an amazing instructor. From the first lesson I felt so comfortable (even though I did hit the curb on pull up to the left lol). He is thorough, efficient and really does care. I only needed around 8 lessons with Rav which goes to show how much of a great teacher he is. He was in contact with me regularly sending links to videos that help with test routes and really made me feel good about my driving. I would recommend rav to anyone. Today I passed first time and he was smiling just as much as me thanks rav for setting me free on to the roads.

Fantastic experience: After doing lessons with another driver for several months, the driving instructor informed me five weeks before my test that they were unable to do the date of the test due to being on holiday. I refused to move the date of my test and sent emails out for other driving companies but either didn't get a response or was let down. Zain from A1 messaged me on WhatsApp and was able to do lessons with me straight away. He made me feel at ease and after a few lessons he could see that my driving was strong and I could pass. He was reliable and easy to get on with, he helped me pass without more stress and issue. Thank you Zain

Fantastic experience: Passed today on first attempt. Only 1 minor. Really recommend this company, especially zaf. Started taking lessons with main man zaf 2 months ago. They also managed to get me an early test date so wasn’t waiting months on end. Zaf gave me all the lessons I needed and also moved his schedule around to suit me which i really appreciate. After taking lessons with Zaf I now know how much of a good instructor he really is. Especially getting me passed with short notice and short time. I genuinely believe no other instructor would help me achieve this pass like zaf did. Just to add he is hard to get hold of but definitely worth it in the end

Fantastic experience: Passed today with A1 academy!! Thanks to my amazing instructor zaf we’ve been through trials and tribulations but zaf always got my confidence back up and made the lessons relaxed, he also mainly does instructor training so he has a select amount of individuals he does lessons with so I appreciate it him takin me on as a student. I’ve also drove with manny from the academy another amazing instructor always making the lessons feel like your driving with a friend.

Fantastic experience: I had Josh as my driving instructor, I only had just over a month before my test to re learn everything and ensure I was in the right position to take my test. Josh helped me to build up my confidence and made me feel comfortable as a driver. Parking was one of my biggest challenges and he made sure to give me lots of tips and advice on manoeuvres. What's amazing is Manny had another learner before my test today and he passed too! This clearly shows how good of an instructor Manny is! ⭐ Can't recommend him enough, I would also recommend his driving lesson videos. When the driving examiner gave me instructions to go to A6 bridge at the roundabout..I did it so confidently..the whole time I had Manny's video and lessons on my mind! I must mention my instructor name and appraised him for his guidance and patience. Mr Sheraz Ali, is very good instructor and he managed to teach me traffic rules in such a short period of time. However, with Manny, I got to learn that acing a driving test was an exact science rather than a matter of trial and error. Manny methodically picked apart my driving weaknesses and reinforced the correct knowledge and decision making skills, making me a confident learner. He was very efficient with the classes and we only did enough classes to get me test ready. He was also an emotionally intelligent teacher, which is key for the student's success. She taught me some parking techniques that have actually worked for me. I have found that my driving has improved since having lessons with Tash and I have become more confident. He booked me an early date for the test after passing my theory. Manny is very professional, patient and easy to get on with. He gives very clear and helpful explanations. Fantastic experience: Recently I have been training for a part 2 driving instructor test with Tanzeel from A1 driving academy and I’ve had an excellent experience. Tanzeel was incredibly patient, clear in their instructions, and provided personalized feedback that helped me improve quickly. The lessons were well-structured, focusing on both basic skills and complex maneuvers, ensuring I was fully prepared for my part 2 driving test. All Thanks to Tanzeel on his expert guidance, I passed my driving test on the first try and feel so confident in my driving abilities now. Tanzeel was very patient and calm, even when I made mistakes, which greatly helped to build my confidence. Fantastic experience: Started my lessons on the 10th July and passed on the 16th July. My instructor was Ali and he was really helpful and attentive in helping me get rid of bad habits i had. Because im not from Derby and not familiar with the area he made sure to explain everything to me very clearly. Fantastic experience: Tashfeen is my first driving instructor, I have never taken lessons before I had only 4 months to learn everything as I wanted to pass before university she teached me from everything from A-Z, Tashee’s always gave good feedback whenever I made a fault and made sure I improved and didn’t make the same mistake whenever the situation happened again. She made sure I was ready before my test and tested me and all the routes that we could potentially go on during the exam and made sure I was 100% prepped. I definitely recommend first time pass and she was always on time if I had to take the exam again I wouldn’t go to anyone else.

Fantastic experience: Started my first lesson 23rd March and passed 6th of July. My instructor was a guy called Atif who was incredible start to finish. Incredibly helpful and patient with me when I’d just started and made many mistakes but took the time to talk through them and explain how to improve etc. His service was great and would definitely recommend him to friends and family. Always cheerful and talkative and personal the entire time, could talk about anything really. Just made my experience fun and enjoyable overall.

He is a very calm instructor even when I would make mistakes and took the time to go back over and practice anything I needed to so I could understand where I went wrong. Would definitely recommend

Fantastic experience: After having 2 previous instructors , I got in contact with Zaf from A1 driving who was recommended to my many different people. Thought I have to get my lessons with Zaf in A1, I managed to pass 1st time with Zaf with only 2 minors after having roughly a month or so of consistent lessons , coming to Zaf I was a nervous driver with a lot of hesitancy and he assured me and took the time needed to get my skills and confidence up to where they needed to be within a month of lessons consistently , I would highly recommend Zaf as a instructor from my personal experience you will not find a better instructor who has his best interest at heart . He also trainers instructors on how to teach, so you know you’re learning from the best.

Fantastic experience: I passed on the first attempt with Manny Usman with only 1 minor fault. Manny made the test very easy for me. His training plan is very easy, straightforward and makes me more comfortable. I had anxiety before the test but with the first one hour training with Manny the anxiety miraculously went away and was able to drive freely without anxiety with the examiner. Manny is a good trainer and will definitely recommend him to my friends and family as he was recommended to me as well

Was very good at being patient and pointing out ways that I could improve my driving without it coming across the wrong way always making me feel more confident which is a big thing when you are learning. Fantastic experience: After having 3 previous instructors and having over 60 hours of lesson with those previous instructors I was highly recommended by friends and family to contact A1 and get my lessons booked with them (specifically Zaf). I have been taking lesson with A1 and Zaff for 2-3 weeks and in that time Zaf managed to schedule me with the right amount of lessons working around his busy schedule and accommodating me during my working hours. Today on my first attempt I passed with the help of Zaf and A1. I would not have been able to achieve this if I had not taken the advice of family and friends and changed driving school . I can now see why A1 and Zaf come highly recommended and to be the best in the city. Made my day today can’t thank them enough .
