Fantastic experience: Steph took me on 2 months ago after a long gap in driving. I had failed twice before and was really nervous to start again. Steph got me out, built up my confidence and taught me everything I know in just a few months and I passed today for the third time (but first with Steph). She is patient and kind but is also super clear and no nonsense in her style and I couldn’t have done it without her. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Fantastic experience: My instructor Cameron took me through the lessons at a pace I felt comfortable with. He explained what actions and checks to take at junctions while stationary so I could focus my attention, then going along the routes after being briefed on the correct approach. After making any errors he would wait until the next time we were stationary at the side of the road to explain how to avoid such errors with my full attention and give tips before progressing again. He directed me to various junction types and gave clear instructions of how to carryout each maneuver and where to make observations while doing so. He was calmly spoken throughout which reduced my nervousness. Cameron clearly marked out the bonnet components and what I should know in terms of show me tell me questions. I then passed my test first time.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend David Ferris as a driving instructor. He is kind, patient and a fantastic teacher! Fantastic experience: I passed my test first time with John McKinley as my instructor. John is a very patient instructor who is able to explain every manoeuvre, test route and safety precaution in a way that is easy to understand which helped me massively in building my confidence on the road. Fantastic experience: I booked a 7-Day Intensive Course and Acclaim took care of everything. Booked my theory, then booked the test and lessons as soon as that was passed. They were very responsive and quick to work around any requests I had; many thanks to Eileen for getting everything organised so smoothly. My instructor, Kevin, was fantastic. Very patient and knowledgeable, and completely put me at ease from day 1 to test day. I couldn't recommend them enough

Fantastic experience: John is the man! I came to John with some driving ability but absolutely no idea how to pass a practical test. He took me from being able to move the car about to being an actual confident, competent driver. He was so patient and calm with me even when I got nervous or worked up during driving. Super flexible with days/times and picked me up/dropped me off wherever I needed. Honestly couldn't recommend him enough. 10/10 John!

Fantastic experience: I booked a 7 day intensive driving course with Acclaim a few months back, concerned that my Theory test was due to expire at the end of October 2024. Luckily, Acclaim were able to booked me in for my test for the start of October 2024. My driving instructor, Mr. Andrew Hill was very pleasant, reassuring and put me at ease from day one, a fantastic asset to Acclaim. The course consisted of 4 hr lessons Mon-Fri, with 4 hrs on Sunday and 2 hrs before the test on Monday. Andrew was prompt and structured breaks around my needs, genuine good guy and easy to chat with. With over 20 years experience, I couldn't recommend Andrew highly enough. Needless to say, I passed 1st time, just in time before my theory expired. Cheers Andrew! :o)

Fantastic experience: I can't describe how lucky I was to get a good driving instructor from very beginning. Paul Catherwood not only taught me how to drive, but he also built my confidence in being on the road. Paul has a passion for teaching and this is what makes him good. Gives clear instructions, friendly, super patient (never shouted at me, although I got us in some dangerous situations), teaches all possible scenarios so on the day of your exam it will feel easy to drive and pass! I passed for the first time, getting only 4 silly minors. If you are looking for a good and experienced driving instructor, then Paul Catherwood is the right choice! Fantastic experience: I started lessons with Mark Spence and I can’t express how unbelievable of a teacher he was. Since I was about 24 I tried multiple times to get my test sorted but with the first two instructors I had I didn’t feel like they were meeting my needs correctly. Mark was fantastic, extremely patient, had an easy way of explaining things and the lessons were always great craic. If I didn’t have Mark as an instructor I doubt that I would have passed!

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous to start driving like most people but with my instructor Gareth Ferris I was able to pass first time with only 3 faults. If you want a patient, understanding and may I say very handsome teacher I'd look no further than him he's also good craic.

Fantastic experience: I started driving lessons when I was 18, but due to being let down by previous instructors and work commitments, I struggled to maintain a good rhythm with my lessons. Now, at 22, I realized that driving had become a necessity, not just a desire, as I started a dual-site job that required frequent trips between Belfast and Lisburn. That's when I decided to contact Acclaim. From my very first lesson with Steph, I felt incredibly comfortable. I wasn't afraid to make mistakes (and there were many!), which really boosted my confidence and pushed me to become a better learner. Steph is the most patient instructor I've met—never losing her cool, even when I made countless mistakes at the beginning. Thanks to Steph’s guidance, I was test-ready months before my original test date, and I passed my test last Saturday with only 6 minors. I would 100% recommend Acclaim, especially Steph, to anyone looking to learn to drive.

Fantastic experience: I cannot rate Vivian highly enough, his professionalism, patience and demeanour were exemplary. Having been very apprehensive about driving a manual he put my fears to rest. Fantastic experience: honestly couldn’t recommend emma enough, especially if you struggle with anxiety or nerves when thinking of driving and that’s what puts you off. i genuinely thought i would never be able to drive because how anxious i feel but emma made it possible and i truly believe i wouldn’t have learnt if it wasn’t for her. she stayed calm with me throughout the whole thing and didn’t shout at me or make me feel under true pressure, and even times where it was harder she was so supportive towards me and gave me the time when needed to go over anything i wasn’t sure off. i am going to miss emma and the gossip sessions. she’s a true credit to acclaim!!!

Fantastic experience: I passed my test first time with my instructor Mark. I was worried about learning to drive but as soon as I met him I was put at ease. He has a great laidback teaching style that I appreciated, whilst always pushing me to improve. Despite inflation, I do think Acclaim could benefit from lowering their prices, however this is not a reflection on the great driving education I received from my instructor.

Not only did she help me improve my driving skills but helped me loads with information about how to save money doing the test in your own car with insurance which helped a lot, making it just a little bit more affordable. Fantastic experience: Tony’s an absolute star! He’s exceptional at what he does and really helped build up my confidence when it comes to driving. Tony knows when to push you and when to be encouraging. Manoeuvres were explained clearly and meticulously; overall the teaching was extremely organised. I especially enjoyed his use of visual aids. He is also extremely knowledgeable about what the examiner is looking for and the test routes for Balmoral. Was put through a mock test that closely resembled the real thing which was extremely helpful, don’t think I would have passed first time with only 4 minors without it!

Driving with Maureen didn’t feel like this persons trying to teach you something fast, it felt like having a drive with a friend, she was alway calm and made sure that I fully understood what she was teaching me before she would move. Everything was explain perfectly and taught in ways to make sure I understood. Big thank you

With me being autistic this helped a lot, as he was able to explain in so many ways how to do one thing just so I could get it right in my head. I thoroughly enjoyed my lessons with Paul. I had zero nerves when doing my exam & passed the first time.

I can only say good things, I am utterly blown away by how patient, nice, and thurough Caoimhe is. I went into my test with full confidence and understanding. Fantastic experience: I just finished a 10-day intensive driving course with Anthony Parker at Acclaim, and I'm so happy to say I passed my test right after. Before this, I had failed with 13 minor faults and 1 serious fault, but with Anthony's help, I passed with only 6 minor faults. Anthony is super patient and really pays attention to detail. He quickly figured out my weak spots and helped me work on them. His clear explanations and supportive approach made all the difference. I highly recommend Anthony if you want a great driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: Used acclaim for an intensive course had david moffett as my instructor excellent instructor lovely guy verry patient explained everything verry clearly I have no complaints at all the company itself acclaim was really easy to book course lovely lady called me advised dates available ect which didn't work as was getting married so was able to change them promptley. I highly recommended the company and david as instructor no complaints thanks again david your a gent and acclaim

Fantastic experience: I passed my test with Michael Robb as my instructor. I had previously taken a few tests back home and failed but Michael was able to increase my confidence driving in Belfast and as a result helped me to pass first time in Balmoral, couldn’t recommend more
