Red Rose Training

Fantastic experience: Having been an HGV driver for 30 odd yrs, I decided earlier this year to take my Cat D licence. From my initial enquiry into how to go about this, Natalie and the team at Red Rose were very helpful and knowledgeable in assisting me. This ranged from sorting out the transfer of my HGV DCPC to include Cat D entitlement to setting everything up. I met Steve, my instructor to be at my initial assessment. He was honest, open and very fair indeed with the hours he indicated I’d need to sit my test - to the point that he was apologising that he’d given me 8hrs in total!! Steve is a very knowledgeable and calm instructor, who was fantastic to be out and about with. He makes you feel at ease from the outset and it was a pleasure to be out driving with him. Due to my years of lorry driving, he was critical where he needed to be, but also positive for everything else. The 8 hrs sailed by and I enjoyed every minute I was out. I was introduced to Pat for the reversing test, who was also a lovely man to meet and is part of the RR team. I cannot praise highly enough all the team at RR, and it’s not the first time I have been trained by them, having sat a CPC National course with them previously. Thank you all for making it such a wonderful experience in obtaining my Cat D licence. I have no hesitation in highly recommending you to anyone for their driving or learning needs.
