Begin Off Road

Fantastic experience: 5* activity! We went today as a family of 4, three adults and a teenager. Easy to book and great communication before our visit. Superbly organised and relaxed from start to finish. All safety equipment provided (used our own footwear), We cannot praise our instructors enough, both made us feel really comfortable and welcome, took everything at our pace through the woodland tracks and across the large open grounds of Weston Park. The guys even stopped to let us take photos, 4 very happy customers..we will be back for more! Thank you

Positive experience: What a great time my 10 yr old Grandson had his very first time here and they were brilliant with him...he was going out in a group but when we explained he suffers from Abcentcies due to Epilepsy they took him on a one to one....can't thank them enough for making his fist experience as lasting one ....we will definitely be back...A massive thankyou to James and everyone involved...

Fantastic experience: What an experience. 13 of us had a team building experience ride with James, Dean and Carl. It was brilliant, who knew there was so much ground to Weston park. Full safety gear given along with a safety talk then an hour and a half riding around the grounds. We all enjoyed ourselves tremendously and would recommend it to anyone after something different. Can’t wait to go again with the family. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I took my motorbike obsessed 4 year old son for his first lesson and I couldn’t recommend Begin Off Road highly enough. Got a very warm and friendly greeting from Dean who was great. They kitted him out so he looked the part, and they looked after him brilliantly. Didn’t take long before he was off on his 1-1 session and he absolutely loved it. I’m sure we’ll be back soon.

Negative experience: Its very slow. Even when you can show you can ride they still don't turn the speed up fully.

Fantastic experience: A 1-1 session for my son’s 16th birthday and it was thoroughly enjoyed by him. Dean the instructor was friendly calm and made him feel at ease. All equipment supplied (except own shoes/boots) Through Weston Park grounds woodlands and paths. Dean even takes photos for you on your journey. My son’s rating when he got back was 12 out of 10. Brilliant day. Thank you Dean.

Fantastic experience: We would like to thank Begin Off Road for a excellent experience today (October 2024). From start to finish, we were treated with utmost professionalism, be it the emails exchanged beforehand to clarify some details, to the face-to-face dealings on the day of the experience. Dean, who took us out on the experience, was the perfect match for us. His introduction to how the bikes worked and the initial getting to grips section were perfectly paced for us. By the end of the experience, we did not want to leave. Dean's expert instruction made sure that we were not thrown in the deep end nor held back when we were ready for a bigger challenge. It's like he had an intuition of where our confidence lay at all times and worked with it. We will be immediately booking another session as soon as we know our next annual leave slot! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Took my Son here today for his 8th Birthday, we had an absolutely fantastic time! James and the other staff members were great, made sure everyone was safe and had tonnes of fun and were encouraging with my Son and his friend giving them loads of confidence to build up their speed. The safety equipment is top notch and the bikes are too! Very nippy, a lot faster than I was expecting! The venue is incredible, the views were amazing while we were riding and there is so much space. We will definitely be returning to have another go!

Fantastic experience: My 10 year old wanted to do this for his 10th birthday, so we booked a session for him and his 7 year old brother. Neither had ridden a motorbike before so we were keen to see how they would do, as it's different to using a push bike, but both got on amazingly! After getting on their protective gear and over-clothing (both provided) they had a mini session where they told how to accelerate and decelerate and the use of the auto-shut off magnet - both took to it immediately and were soon riding through Weston Park towards one of their woodland routes! Here they spent their hour going round a predefined route at their own pace and they both had an amazing time! So much so, that the youngest told me as soon as the session was over that he wanted to do this for his birthday too! It's an absolutely great experience and we will be doing a family session at some point in the future too because we thought it looked brilliant. James and Kayleigh, who were both running sessions on the day, were both really friendly and great with the children, and gave them a great first experience on bikes. The bikes themselves are electric, which I hadn't even looked into before coming, but this means no instructions for the children are not heard as there is literally no noise. Highly recommend this!

Fantastic experience: Took my 3 Grandsons today for a birthday gift. They have never ridden off road bikes before. They all enjoyed the session. James was a brilliant tutor. The boys listened and observed everything he told them. They progressed to going into the wood. Huge thanks to James for making it so memorable ! I’m sure we will be back.

Fantastic experience: What a day for myself & my teenager !. OK 1.5 Hours. James was great, asking if we had any previous experience & what we wished to learn; then kitted us out & guided us gently through the bikes & then we were off. Beginners Off Road ! Safe and steady getting used to the Osset electric bikes. We both ride road bikes so are used to a geared bike, but this was a good start, not having to think about a clutch allowed more of the £10/$10 worth of concentration to be focused on the track & handling the bike over the terrain (from the book "A twist of the wrist"). We built up our time on the level track, with hillock, woo-hoo, then when James had observed our progress on to the woodland which was excellent fun. Finally going on to the more technical track sections. This was my personal favourite, with James showing us, as before the route. Up & down, ruts which I found challenging, up impossible hills, in my mind, & down and around & much more. Fantastic. I am now an off-road riding god with the 1.5 hours training, well maybe not; but we both thoroughly enjoyed our time with James at Begin Off Road.

Fantastic experience: Amazing day. I’m an experienced biker and took the family along or a first lesson. We all left with a huge smile on our faces. 100% recommend!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended. Quality bikes and gear, no experience necessary, just turn up and enjoy. James is great at assessing the children’s ability and letting them learn at their own pace. Son had a great time, really enjoyed it and will be back soon!

Fantastic experience: My 9 year old had a private lesson for an hour today. It was the first time he had ever been on a powered bike. James was brilliant and there was no boring introduction. Just safety briefing and straight on it. By the end of the lesson he was riding through the woods with a massive smile. First thing he said when he got off was... I am coming here again! We will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely Brilliant! My 7yr old daughter had a session as her birthday present and couldn't have had a better time! The guys were brilliant with her, walking her through it to start and then letting her loose! Would 100% recommend and will be back soon!
