Scarborough Rider Training

Fantastic experience: I spoke at length to Graham trying to find a time which would work for the both of us to do my A2 to full license tests. Despite not being able to find a workable time, the responsiveness and willingness to go above and beyond to find a solution showed to me that these guys would be an excellent outfit!

Fantastic experience: Started my category A unrestricted bike licence aged 50. I struggled a bit but Graham and Phil helped me through with just the right combination of knowledge, experience, patience and banter! Can't recommend these guys highly enough. Negative experience: Should not be riding on a golf course

Negative experience: Cannot comment on the training as I'm not reviewing that. But considering Graham said he had his business reputation to think about, whilst selling me a Honda XR125, it's safe to say I wouldn't buy another bike from him. I only got 200 miles out of it before it broke down. I got in contact for advice, and to be honest, at first, he was trying to be helpful. But I feel as soon as he thought it wasn't going to be an easy fix, he stopped answering calls and messages. I honestly now feel like the bike was bodged to be sold as 6 months from purchase, it still doesn't run. Even after having 2 separate local mechanics try to fix it, it stil won't start and stay running. What an all round TERRIBLE experience !!!

Fantastic experience: Absolutly amazing experience! Highly recommended for everyone who wanted to start bike adventure and be safe on the roads. They are very passionate about bikes and a very knowledgeable. Graham and Phil will personalise your training for your needs just listen to them and you will pass the test with your eyes shut. They are the best!

Fantastic experience: Graham and Phil are brilliant instructors, i couldn't recommended Scarborough rider training highly enough they are top notch, they are calm and patient, and there firm on you when needed, they go above and beyond to help u succeed they took me from a cbt all the way to a full a licence with passes through out.

Fantastic experience: I just wanna say a big THANK YOU to Phil and Graham for the fantastic service they offer. I applied for my Direct Access license and passed all my tests 1st time. Even though I have a learning disability, these guys were patient and kind and didn't judge me for my dumb questions and mistakes, I couldn't have done it without these guys. I had an absolute blast. If the cops catch me doing 180mph and take my license, Id deffo come back to these guys to get it again haha. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Thanks again guys.

Fantastic experience: I live in London. I came up North to do my test and lessons while seeing family and was on a limited time frame. These guys couldn't have done much better if I am honest. I arrived on a Friday night, and had my first lessons on Saturday Morning. After a great first day with Phil, I had another day of double lessons on Sunday, ready for my Mod1 on Monday morning. After coming back from training on Sunday we were told my Mod2 was cancelled on the Wednesday, meaning another trip up north would be needed, but Graham managed to get me back in for that same Tuesday! I passed Mod1, and went onto Mod2 on the Tuesday. Arrived to the examiner having a flat tyre!! Phil managed to somehow get me booked back in, 6 days later!!!! I Passed first time across the board! Absolutely fantastic service, well priced, and a good laugh. I would absolutely recommend these guys. Thanks again Graham an Phil!

Fantastic experience: These guys are literally the best! Always wanted to get my big bike license but up until this year I had never ridden a bike. These guys got me passed with a CBT, 2 lessons then my mod 1, 2 lessons then my mod 2! If you want it badly, they will get the best out of you quickly! I would 100% recommend picking these guys to get you through whatever test you want to get through. You’ll have a right laugh on lessons, really informative and they don’t just yeah you to pass. They actually teach you how to ride and enjoy yourself. Genuinely feel I wouldn’t of had the balls to pass as quick as I did without them!

Fantastic experience: After years of wanting to get my bike licence I decided in Jan this year that now was the time. From the very first enquiry call to passing my Mod 2 Phil and Graham were fab. I had never even sat on a bike before but this was not a problem. Would highly Recommend :)

Fantastic experience: Well being a semi experienced rider today I sat down......with a brew and watched my boy and partner do their CBT for the first half. Graham's teaching and understanding was next to none with a very relaxed environment. When picking up the missues and boy they told me that the had rode in built up areas, 20's past a school 40's 60's busy round abouts then finished it off with the a64.....leaving me happy knowing that they had riden most scenarios. I'm very happy with his service as an instructor.

Fantastic experience: Done my CBT today, I've never rode a bike before but Graham spent the time to talk me throw everything at a sensible pace. My next hurdle is the MOD 1 and 2 and I will certainly be going back to Graham thank you.

Fantastic experience: Just passed my Mod 2 today and cannot wait to get on the road. Couldn't have done it without these 2. So friendly and approachable, make everything so easy to understand and nice and relaxed. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fabulous training... Very happy to recommend these guys.. If your experience is limited to CBR, don't fret... They will look after you.. Total trust in the instructor and you will be taking corners like a pro.. Even if there is a little bit of clenching of the buttox! Get out there and enjoy.. The smile you'll end the lesson on will be amazing

Fantastic experience: SRT have been absolutely fantastic from start to finish, I did my A2 licence with them with Phil as my instructor. Phil has been brilliant and patient the whole time and both him and Graham have been supportive throughout! I never felt unsafe and even when I made mistakes Phil was always calm and positive and I’m immensely chuffed to now be able to ride a “big boy bike”. Nothing but good things to say about them!

Fantastic experience: Big thanks to Graham and Phil at SRT for all of their help including lots of technical advice and general bike talk ,oh and getting me through my MOD1 and MOD 2 (today 18th July a mild 31c on the bike lol).I may as well have gone scuba diving today as I was wetter in my gear than when actually go diving but I did get lots of free insects to eat . Great instructors with no added BS ..These pair are true enthusiasts. I may even stay in touch to haunt them into submission. Highly recommended for all levels . cheers Craig

Negative experience: I'll would like to preface this review by saying that Phil the instructor is very good, explains things well and I would recommend him as an instructor, however I would not recommend this business in the main due to the attitude of the owner Graham. In what would be my last lesson with SRT I was asked to fill up the motorcycle with petrol as he didn't have the cash to do it, the right hand wing mirror blew in on me riding at 60 mph on the A64 and the key snapped in the fuel tank, all of which resulted the lesson having to be aborted as by the time Graham the owner had come out with tools and spare key I didn't have time for the full 2 hour lesson. I was asked to pay "what I thought the lesson was worth" by Graham as he still had to pay his instructor and attempted to devolve responsibility for the mirror and the key snapping to me the learner and customer. Shocking customer service and poor maintenance of equipment.

Fantastic experience: I can't thank the guys at SRT enough. Their approach is so relaxed, it instantly makes you at ease. With absolutely zero experience, I had 1 lesson and passed my MOD 1, then 1 more lesson and passed my MOD 2. They have no intention of fleecing you, or making you pay more than you need. You just need a good ear to listen to the sound advice. I strongly recommend SRT for all your bike training needs!!! Thanks again guys!

Fantastic experience: What a cracking couple of guys in graham and Phil. Superb training throughout. Full licence gained with only a few lessons as they assess you as you progress through each stage .I would definitely recommend these guys for all your bike training needs .personally cannot thank them enough

Positive experience: Great experience, training was up to date and informative. Did think unusual that instructor had young pillion passenger each lesson: he said she was a lodger in his property and liked motorbikes

Fantastic experience: Absolute 5 star! Simple call put me straight at ease with Phil, explained I’d never rode a “big bike” before and he explained a few things over the phone and got me booked in for a lesson on the 11th of October, jump forward to today (18th of October) and I now have a full Cat A licence! Couldn’t believe it! Loved the fact they had pre booked mod 1s and 2s when you could have waited weeks/months especially with covid, after one lesson Phil filled me we so much confidence and got me booked straight on for Friday, then mod 2 today which I was super nervous for but both Graham and Phil explained everything and put me at ease. During the few lessons I had, I had both Phil and Graham and what can I say great guys, corrected my wrongs and also explained why it had happened, they’d bollock you if you needed it and praise you if you deserved it too.. 2 very experienced riders you could happily sit and listen to there stories over a pint. Negative experience: Wow, cannot believe how different my experience was to others : Phil was disrespectful and not helpful with regards to my disability. I am an experienced rider but hadn’t had a bike for years so wanted a refresher.. shouldn’t have bothered.. totally unprofessional

Positive experience: Phil: instructor adapted his training techniques for Emma R. This included late evenings, missed family occasions but at least his ‘pupil’ is happy with how adaptable he was. Well done

Fantastic experience: Thank you SRT for getting me through my bike tests! I never thought I would get my big bike liscene, as I was so nervous and a complete novice. Phil was so patient and understanding. He would adapt his teaching techniques to my needs. I really enjoyed the whole process from CBT to my bike tests. It's a fantastic riding sschool and I highly reccomend SRT!

Fantastic experience: Meaning to leave a review for a while and finally got round to it! Graham and Phil are awesome, got me from CBT to Mod 1 and 2 passed in 3 weeks!!! Had a great laugh with them and the way they train is personal and suited to the individual. Reasonable fees. I have recommended a few others to them since passing and all have had a positive experience. The guys don't just teach you to pass the Mod 1 and 2 they teach you had to ride safe and confident. Fantastic experience: Graham & Phil successfully guided me through my CBT, theory, mod 1 and 2 in 10 weeks with only 4 lessons having never ridden anything other than a moped many moons ago. It would have been 6 weeks and 3 lessons if I hadn't made a schoolboy error on my first mod 2! Their fun, friendly approach proved invaluable and made the whole experience enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I choose Scarborough rider years ago for many cbts. In malton and Scarborough. With karl and paul i think..friendly. professional Easy going . Puts you at ease. Fab sense of humour .. great locations on cbt.. always looked forward to doing my cbt with these guys
