Negative experience: I don't know why or how this place passed my 18 year old for his cbt he was so not ready to be on the road . Day 2 of this place passing him he was hit by a van and is in hospital with a fraction spine and crumbling vertebrae. He was not confident. He didn't understand the road and didn't know how to ride . He's now permanently disabled. Merry Christmas

Fantastic experience: My Son completed his CBT on his Birthday last Sunday 17th to enable him to ride his scooter. Booking was easy and friendly with email reminders and a “need to bring” list. I think his instructor was Paul? My son said it was good, he learned and found it enjoyable apart from the fact that he was the only one on a 50cc so it took some effort to keep up! He passed and I feel it was good value for money and I have no hesitation in recommending Bikewise to others who require CBT.

Fantastic experience: My partner and I booked our CBT together. Paul was our instructor and what a brilliant day we had. Paul was incredibly knowledgeable but also very patient, as I’ll be honest some elements took me a little while to get to grips with. We both loved the day and have been bitten by the biking bug. I very much recommend Bikewise and Paul as they were both super.

Negative experience: Tried to book a CBT to then be cancelled by Danny and then not refunded, still chasing my refund after weeks and no reply.

Fantastic experience: Took my cbt here and wanted to say how informative this is for any level of knowledge a person has with rising motorbike, I had Tom on the day and he was so cool, calm and collective. I have taken cbt before but experience is always great, passed on from another rider and he covered all aspects of safety. The class setting was spot on and going out on the road in the afternoon, on a very busy part of the day in shrewsbury, I felt comfortable with Tom, so I recommend anyone looking to renew or even for the first time, thanks Bikewise 5*

Negative experience: Terrible Terrible place, the Instructor was so rude and with it being a Sunday didn't seem as if he wanted to be there very uninterested in doing any training.He remarked this is not a one day course it's a two to three day course,his surname was WRIGHT but he was so WRONG on so many levels.My son had never ridden a bike before and went for what he thought was training and he's right it is training that was supposed to be given instead he ridiculed my son infront of two others on the course he had made his mind up my son was going to be made an example of.Mr WRONG you have succeeded in putting my son off going anywhere near a bike for life,I hope your proud of yourself and I hope people reading this will steer well clear of BIKEWISE I can see how your like this as I spoke to the owner of the place and he's just as bad.You put all this speel on your web page as how friendly you all are and it's total rubbish,whoever designed your page doesn't know you at all. DISGUSTED Is an undersatement.

Negative experience: My son attended the CBT today and the clue is in the letter T for training knowhere after CBT does it say ETKIA (Expected to know it all) the Instructor was rude to him passing a comment (I though you would make a better effort than that to put the bike on its stand which he had never done before ever but was shown so quick he couldn't see how they did it and was expected to be perfect first attempt ) My son felt like it was a test and not training,infact the instructor commented it's not a one day course it's a two or three day course.As he felt ridiculed and it got him very anxious he felt he couldn't breathe in the helmet as it got him all wound up and didnt want to carry on.Also very unfairly they were asking him all the questions as the others there had done the course before,I hope your proud of yourselves I also hope that anyone reading this steers well clear of you and your very unprofessional instructors.You have totally destroyed any confidence that my son had,your a pair of bullies you should be struck off.

Positive experience: Posting this review as correction for other poster regarding EU driving licenses - as well as reflecting on my experience with Bikewise. I underwent CBT last July with my wife and sister; I went from zero experience to pass within the day - and I am mid-40's, so not razor sharp on the reflexes but being an experienced driver, which helped, it was a good experience. I thought the team were great and I am now about to book Mod 1/2 trg for Full License in the coming weeks. THERE ARE LIMITATIONS for those with EU licenses. The School was most likely leading into that, if the other reviewer/poster had been patient rather than arguing. What the poster is also unaware of, is that at least one instructor there is ex-Police - so they might be bluntly frank with you, but they aren't bad people. Fantastic experience: Did my CBT in September with Steve as an instructor along with one other learner. Thorough training from 8:30am sharp to about half 2 / 3pm firstly around the car park and then on the roads around Shrewsbury. Steve was clear and honest what you were doing wrong and what you were doing right. Would recommend.

I have an A2 license from India , But that was not sufficient to ride through UK, Now I learned Defensive Driving, The importance of Lifesaver checks,and avoidance of Potential Hazards. Fantastic experience: Bikewise are excellent, I have passed CBT, mod 1and Mod 2 with them, as a complete beginner and I cannot recommend the team highly enough, the instructors are very professional, they want you to be safe and teach you with patience and knowledge. It feels like a daunting task taking your Bike tests but with the support of Mick and Tony you will be in very safe and experienced hands who will help you at every stage. Highly recomended. Fantastic experience: Used this company to complete my CBT, MOD1 training, MOD 1, MOD2 training and MOD 2 and highly recommend! Super friendly and helpful to book in. Situated in a great area to learn and use the experience of instructors to build confidence on all manor or roads and situations. Bikes were appropriate and never any issues. Also got kit rental if required. Big thanks to Tony who's patience, professionalism and top instruction put me at ease and was the main contributing factor to passing all tests first time.

Negative experience: The bloke on the phone started feeding me misinformation about my EU driving licence. He asked me how long I've lived in the UK, when I answered, he said, and I quote "You can't normally drive in the UK longer than 12 months on a foreign licence", which is completely false for EU/EEA licences. I can drive on it until I'm 70. I called him out on it, but instead of owning up to his mistake, Mr. know-it-all steered the topic back towards motorcycles, and how "he's not talking about driving", despite that literally being what he had just said. Also, when I originally told him I hold a EU licence, his response was "We're not in the EU anymore", which, alongside being TOTALLY irrelevant, was said in a tone that, to me, sounded very snarky and condescending. So not only was this guy totally unprofessional, but I got serious BNP/UKIP/Pro-Brexit/Xenophobe vibes from him as well. Definitely not the kind of people I want to be giving my money to. Yikes!

Fantastic experience: I don’t like doing tests, However CBT albeit essential is very worthwhile if like me you haven’t ridden a bike for years. Instruction was very comprehensive , and pleased to say I got me Certificate. Looking forward to getting a full license at some point. Thankyou Tony for a worthwhile day out

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a professional motorbike training and licensing, don't go for any other option, just join Bikewise. They have specialised skilled persons for CBT, module 1 and 2. They do provide riding gears if you don't have one but it's always better to get your own helmet, gloves and boots if possible.

Fantastic experience: Completed my CBT on the 17th with Steve. I found the course very useful and informative, I learnt a lot about kit and what to look for when buying kit and a bike. The course was well paced and Steve was very patient with me as I was struggling to start with having never ridden before. To summarise I would definitely recommend bikewise!

Negative experience: Think we were unlucky with the instructor. My son and an older friend were booked in for cbt. Very aggressive instructor shouting at him to keep up when the bike wouldn't go any faster. Three booked in on course but only insured to take two out on the road at a time. £174 to sit around and wait .Disappointing service

Fantastic experience: I will be forever grateful to Steve for the patience and training he's given me. I didn't complete my 1st cbt due to massive lack of confidence so booked a private session with him for the 2nd. He took the lesson at my pace, built rapport within the first 5 minutes and made me feel completely at ease. We completed my auto training then went on to successfully pass the geared bikes too!!! Will absolutely go back for my mod1.. thank you!!

Negative experience: I undertook my CBT with these a couple of years ago now. The male instructor was arrogant and rude. Couldn't wait for the day to be over! There was a lady instructor too and she was lovely. Thankfully I got to do my practical on the road with her.

Negative experience: A very disappointing experience. Four of us on the course and none of us passed. The first comment made by the extremely derisive instructor was that any damage to the bikes through falling off would have to be paid for by us the student! really? You have no insurance for the students? He then went on at great length on irrelevant trivia leaving us students waiting idly on the bikes not getting in any practical experience. Despite the fact that some of us have had previous experience riding we did not get to go out on the road to complete the course as the weather was very wet?! We were then offered a second course but at an additional 50% fee. The equipment we used was dirty, smelly and probably very unhygienic. The 'class' is held in a lorry container in a car park. One star rating is only for the bikes which were in good working order. DEFINITELY would NOT recommend.
