Fantastic experience: Hi there Bikewise. STEVE ALCOCK.. What a absolute legend. He was very professional, kept me at ease all throughout the training process.. I trained with 2 other lads. Unfortunately 1 lad had to come back for further training but Steve has the biggest heart. He didn't point out his failures in front ov me and the other guy. He respectfully took him aside and explained. I honestly have no bad words about this instructor whatsoever. I passed my test with with Bikewise 10 years ago and I can honestly say it was alot better this time around. He looks out for your safety as no1 priority. I was sold a fake helmet and he pointed it out str8 away without looking at it. When we looked. My fears we confirmed. So if anyone's looking to pass there cbt with qualified instructors and someone with passion and dedication... my call is Steve. That don't say the other instructors are not as good. I just can't comment on there part. I brought my show room 125cc motorcycle on Friday 7th Steve. So fully legal now on the road. Will have nip in 1 day to say hi. But on a serious note note. Thank-you Steve for everything and a epic experience. From David Johnson

Fantastic experience: Steve is an excellent teacher and helped me get rid of some bad habits I had accumulated over years riding overseas. I did my CBT and he has great experience and just enough friendly banter to make it engaging and fun while being immensely informative and very good. I felt safe in his capability and he takes your achievement very seriously, as he should. Highly recommended place to get trained for the UK roads.

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT with Steve. Highly recommend Bikewise, Steve was very welcoming and professional. He’s clear with his instruction, firm but fair and will talk you through your faults and where to improve, and he will praise you when you get it right. He clearly knows his stuff and he genuinely wants you to do well.

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT with Steve a couple of years ago and was very pleased with how the day was managed and Steve's teaching. I have recently passed my MOD 1 and MOD 2 licences under the tuition of Tony and he is excellent. He is clearly a very experienced biker and trainer, who is reassuring, patient but also encourages you to do what he knows you can do. I would recommend Tony 100%!

Negative experience: So my daughter had her CBT booked with them for this morning. They said she would receive an email with instructions, that email never arrived. They called at 08:30 this morning to tell her if she’s not there in 10 mins they’re leaving without her. Obviously she couldn’t get there in time. Asked for a refund and was told that they had sent the email to the wrong email address but because whoever they sent it to opened the email they won’t refund the booking. So due to the incompetence of staff we are out of pocket the booking fee.

Negative experience: I have just come back from my CBT training which finished at 3pm. I "failed" the training without having even been on the road. Indeed, it was my second time ever on a moped. The first time (13 years ago) I had an accident and this is why I came to this training to learn how to ride a moped properly which I told Danny (the boss), over the phone, before booking. I could already feel that this school was not for somebody who is new to riding but I hoped that on the day it would be different. It is more appropriate for people who want to renew their CBT training or who already have experience riding. Steve is a nice instructor. I was with 2 other experienced bikers. At 8:30am, you start with some theory, then look at the bike and then at some point you'll start doing some exercises with the bike on the carpark. As a novice, it is expected in that school that you already know how to balance yourself or if you don't, that you quickly get the hang of it because the 2 other bikers already master those basics and they need to get on with their training as for them it is really just a formality. I then was told that I probably will need a one to one session to get my confidence back up which put me down (this was around 10:30/11 am). After that, I managed to get a bit more used to the throttle so I am asked to try to do a U turn. I tried 2 times which I didn't succeed to do. I asked to try a third time without succeeding again to which I am told that it is better I keep my confidence and not push myself. So I am asked to go get my lunch while the others get ready to get on the road. At that point, I am really upset because I am not given the opportunity to try longer those exercises. I am then asked if I want to ride on the back of the instructor to get a feel for it which I agree as my money is already wasted so I might as well just see what would happen if I go through it in the future. After those exercises you go back inside to talk more about the road rules etc. Finally, you go on the road (I was on the back of the instructor instead of having more opportunities to practice for another time). After 1.5 hours (instead of 2 hours as regulated by DVSA, not including breaks) on the road with different exercises, you're back to the school. Steve tried his best to arrange for me to come back for free or for a discounted price but Danny doesn't seem to be such an understanding person (as you can see from the previous comments). So in summary, great school if you are there to renew your CBT training and have experience riding. Bad school if you're new to riding and want to learn how to get comfortable riding a bike before going on the road. Also, it is more expensive than other schools which would give you more time to practise with the moped so £184 wasted but I guess it is my own fault for not having followed my guts (and the reviews) when I booked with Danny over the phone and I was forced to answer the question if I wanted a bike or a moped when I explained that my aim was to learn how to get comfortable with the basics of riding in general rather than just a tick box exercise to get a certificate. Very disappointing experience which completely put me off from wanting to try again in the future.

Negative experience: Danny, is a disgusting man who refused to give an autistic 19 boy a refund after having a vomiting attack even though we emailed the night before saying my son was poorly. Apparently, you have to be psychic and know 5 days in advance that you are going to be ill. He clearly does not understand autism. He told me my son will never be an adult!!! The other staff may well be nice but this bloke is an idiot!!

Fantastic experience: A brilliant day, Steve our instructor was excellent, having to deal with 3 students with totally different needs, he put us at ease and was really positive. It was a wet, rainy day but I thoroughly enjoyed my reintroduction to riding a motorcycle since 40 years ago!! Thank you Bikewise Stafford and more specifically, thank you Steve.

Negative experience: Annoying loud motorbikes so irritating, can hear on the sandon road. Cant enjoy our evenings listening to the birds, a lot of noise pollution should be banned!!!!!. Also Why is it still happening after 9:30pm!!

Negative experience: Stafford site CBT. Absolutely filthy facilities, bikes are falling to bits, to the point where the instructor had to do on site repairs while we were on the bikes and most importantly the instruction was shocking. Steve was bad mannered, not at all supportive and throughout the openly showed frustration with some of the candidates. Since this terrible first experience of bike tuition I have found a much better rider centre and really come to realise in fact how bad this centre actually is. In my opinion avoid at all costs there are far better facilities within the area than this.

Fantastic experience: Did CBT with them last week and I was probably the most nervous rider they ever had , My instructor , Steve was brilliant , from the minute I walked in there was a bit of banter and my nerves eased ! In the theory part he was in depth and professional and all the time training another employee , Chris (who was also awesome , friendly , calm and professional ) . When out riding my nerves kicked in again but both instructors put me at ease and gave me confidence . I can not recommend them enough ! 100 out of 10 !..

Positive experience: Passed CBT sept 2020. Unfortunately the bike broke down at the end of test and I had to push it back. The bike provided (50cc) was something you'd buy on eBay for £200 spares n repairs plus it had no oil and was clearly to small for a bigger built guy. However the training provided was decent and I learned a few things and unlearned some habits.

Negative experience: I booked lessons with a person called Danny, the day before my lesson I fractured my ankle in several places, I telephoned Danny and cancelled the appointment I was told by Danny that I will not get a refund this was in February 2019, since then I have been advised by my doctor that I should not use my ankle for unnecessary actions such as riding a motor bike. Danny is aware of this but still will not reply to my messages or letters regarding a refund, I have had to take advice from c.a.b and now unfortunately it will go to a civil court hearing.

Fantastic experience: Did my CBT here with instructor Steve. Having never ridden a motorbike before I was less experienced than the other people there but the instructor was brilliant. Took his time with us all and in the end took us out on the road and ended up getting my CBT through them. Strongly recommend.
