Fantastic experience: Finished my CBT with Beacon today. Steve is a great instructor and will help you through the whole thing, even if you are like me and have 2 brain cells that fight for second place Will be booking a DAS with him next year once I have more experience.

Fantastic experience: I’m so so happy. I always dream about riding motorbike but I’ve never believe I can do it due to my health. But one day I went with my son and meet Steve. I’ve booked my CBT with him and that’s how it started. Steve was very strict but thanks to it, he teach me all the rules and how to become a good driver. He was so patient. He cares about me and my health. He never give up. Thanks to Steve I’ve passed my MOD1 and MOD2 at first try. I was so scared today but Steve helped me on the way to the test centre. During the whole way he explained me the rules , remind me every bits. He also asked about my wellbeing many times. He helped me so much. And when I passed my MOD2 he was so happy- so do I. So, if you’ve ever think about making your dream come true- don’t waste your time in searching on internet but just trust Steve as I did it and you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend Steve as the best instructor. Thank you Steve from all my ❤️You’ve never doubt on my skills and you’ve looked after me like I’ll be your family. By the way, the next person you will need to train will be my daughter

Negative experience: Really dissappointed! When I took my CBT it was the first time I had ever got on a bike, I was really excited but very nervous. After the morning training I was still a little nervous, I discussed this with Steve and I agreed to come back another day as they offer the second day half price and Steve confirmed this. I booked my second day but the day before Steve called to rearrange. No problem at all! The new date was set but my family came down with covid so I needed to rearrange. Since then I have left mutilple messages via whatsapp and voicemails. I have also popped in to speak with steve and sat waiting an hour for him but nothing. I never got the second day half price and now will need to look elsewhere. I am gutted as I think if I had been brave enough I would of been fine on the road and would of passed. Absoutely gutted as also now will need to pay a whole day again elsewhere. Personally I would go elsewhere if your a first timer.

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience at Beacon with Steve. I had some experience riding from overseas but had a lot of bad habits. Steve managed to set me on the right path and got me through the whole process of getting my full license. Highly recommend Beacon if you are looking to start riding.

Fantastic experience: Done my CBT, Mod 1 & 2 for A2 with Steve and passed all first time thanks to him. He’s strict but good, making me a very confident rider and I’m so chuffed with the results. I was originally looking at intensive courses for the tests but it didn’t make any sense financially or practically as I have had riding experience of 10 months with my CBT. It has cost me over half the cost going with Steve and I’m so happy I choose him to help & instruct me, he’s a great rider and tutor so you’re in great hands with him! I will definitely be going back to him for my full A license.

Fantastic experience: Very informative fun day. Leaned the basics required to head on to the road. Even though I had an accident (my fault), Steve was patient, caring and willing to allow me to continue. I can understand why he smokes like a Victorian chimney! I’ll be back to take the full test within the year.

Fantastic experience: Steve has been a great instructor - covered all the fundamentals of safety, gear, and advanced bike control. Without any bike experience Steve got me straight through from CBT to full Cat A with just a few hours intensive riding on the roads. Fantastic experience: Started with Steve at beacon training to do a direct access course in may cbt - theory test mod1 and today mod 2 so in under 3 months I can’t rate Steve highly enough his experience and wealth of knowledge is astonishing and without him I wouldn’t have pass my mod 1 or mod 2 so Thanku Steve and any one I’ come across in future who wants to learn I’m sending them to u many thanks - simon

Negative experience: I booked into CBT on 14/5/22, well in advance of the course on 7/6/22. A deposit was taken to confirm the booking and I was looking forward to the day. I did not receive a confirmatory email so called a couple of times - no answer. So then I texted their mobile - their stated preferred method of communication if the office phone is unanswered - and got no response….until the day before my booked CBT course saying they are on holiday and suggesting I call the office at the weekend or go online to book. Based on other reviews these people may be able to teach motorbike skills but their communication and organisation is appalling. My opinion…..go elsewhere to a company with organisation and communication as well as teaching expertise. Deeply disappointing

Fantastic experience: 100% Recommend Beacon if you need that extra help to get you back on a bike. Passd my CBT today. Not ridden for 30 years. Trainer was patient, there were two of us oldies on the course today. Many valid points made and a skilled trainer. Will definitely use again for my A1 etc. Thanks guys.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding training and outstanding value As a casual train-station scooter rider I have used Beacon for a number of years to refresh my CBT and always found them to be excellent. Well organised, humorous, practical and with a great insight into helping riders learn quickly and effectively without undue pressure. This year I decided to take my full motorcycle license and what a seamless and enjoyable process it was. Right from the quality of the instruction through to arranging and booking the test. They made the whole experience simple and straightforward. Steve has a comprehensive knowledge of all the local truest centres and is able to pay specific attention to the important areas and foibles with each. But, more importantly, under his instruction I feel far more confident, capable and safe as a rider than ever before. And as for value for money! Most centres charge about 50% more (and you have a sense that they are trying to up sell you on lessons). At Beacon my experience was the OPPOSITE - I was told that I didn’t need more lessons and to just book my test straight away. Outstanding! I can’t recommend highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience using Steve in my direct access. Amazing advice for my CBT, prepared me for my MOD 1 test as well as my MOD 2 with no prior riding experience. Passed today and would recommend beacon riders to any and everyone!!! If you have any hesitation whatsoever, go along and book your CBT for a good laugh and a great learning experience. Fantastic experience: My first visit was back in 1990 when I done my first part of the bike test CBT. I spent a good part of the day with them driving around Bovingdon airfield before going onto the road, absolutely amazing, I visited today to pick up something for another relative, so pleased they are still going, definitely recommend, thank you.

I Could not fault my experience with beacon riders and would strongly recommend any one who chooses to do any motorbike training with this organisation. I did a CBT and was taken out by Steve who was very patient and very honest and really boosted my riding skills. Fantastic experience: I would recommend Beacon 100%. After taking my CBT with them baack in 1999 I decided it was time to go for my Cat A. I re took my CBT in august 2018 and Passed my Mod 2 in February 2019 so in Just 6 months I went from having not ridden for years to having my full bike licence. I would like to thanks Steve for his unwavering patience and brilliant tuition. He keeps it fun and safe and the fact I just passed my MOD2 says it all! Thanks Beacon. Ben.

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank Steve for all of his support and guidance during my cbt test today. He tailored the approach of the test to my needs and instantly recognised where I needed guidance and help. Fantastic experience: A huge and i mean a huge thanks to Steve, Mike and the rest of the team. After deciding to get back in the saddle after many years of thinking about it i contacted the guys a Beacon Riders. I had ridden bikes for many years i was not aware of the new rules and regulations on how to achieve a full licence, no troubles though the guys were on the ball. So CBT Booked with Steve up to their Bovingdon site on a 125 wow Steve showed me some great clutch and brake control which later on came invaluable. After a few hours of practice off and on the road back to their H.Q and i am pleased to say Passed the CBT first time. Next ride out with Mike for some evaluation again on the 125 pleased to say that Mike was happy for me to progress to a larger bike. A day off road at Bovingdon practising more brake and clutch control and utilising the Module 1 layout in readiness for the real thing, I was told i was ready but i felt one more session would ensure i myself was confident to take my Mode 1 test. Second lesson booked for Mode1 with Steve and a node of confidence at the end, advised to book the Mode1 asap which i did on a Sunday, its at this point i also decided to book Module 2 test on the Wednesday and wait for it order a new MT09 Tracer at the same time, no pressure then. Probably not the best time to book both as the weather was turning but hay. Mode1 booked for the Sunday early and i mean early, meet Steve at their H.Q a freezing cold morning and off we went, arrived hands frozen solid and a tad nervous i think Steve was as nervous as i was, great start and then a bo bo not a major but to be fair to the examiner he advised me to go again and think about what i was doing next, any way i did and passed without any further problems so hurdle one out of the way, now hurdle two which was only three days away, again meet Steve at their HQ Crack of dawn and it was raining and i mean torrential and a long ride to Uxbridge test centre both arrived soaking wet externally only. Got the intro and paper work out the way and now it was crunch time putting all that had been taught into practise 50 minutes later and back at the test centre test over the examiner marking his sheet in the distance, Steve looking through the glass saying well me shrugging my shoulders but confident, finally the examiner walked over and said pleased to say you have passed well what a moment that was imbedded in my brain for a long time and to say Steve was happy is an understatement. The ride back was great i did not care about the weather the spray from the cars and trucks i had passed. I think that the guys saved me lots of money on lessons i did not need and gave great advice from start to finish. So again a HUGE, HUGE Thanks and do yourself a favour a book your training with the guys here.
