RJH Motorbike Training Chorley

Fantastic experience: Passed my full DAS course this week with instruction mainly from Tony & John. They were super friendly and patient, but were (correctly) willing to critique where necessary. I passed with their full "Beginner to DAS" course, with 2 extra lessons for my own confidence. I've now bought a Ninja 650 and can't wait to get out and ride!

Fantastic experience: I just finished my DAS course with RJH. Friendly and experienced instructors made the experience really enjoyable. I would definitely recommend. The majority of my course was done with Tony who is a brilliant instructor.

Fantastic experience: Had dome excellent training, first with Tony for Mod 1 at the Atherton test centre who pointed out my mistakes and how to correct them and then Mod 2 training with Jon out on the roads giving some excellent tips including his 6 rules for roundabouts (and not forgetting his delightful singing). I passed my Mod 1 with only 2 minors and my Mod 2 with 0 faults. I would highly recommend RJH.

Fantastic experience: Did a renewal on my CBT test today, Tony took us out he was so good he made us feel so confident and made the riding comfortable, Tony is a great instructor and I would say he's the master, looking forward to coming back and doing my mod 1 and mod 2 soon. Thankyou Tony you was great fun.

Fantastic experience: For human experience while learning new skills, two things are crucial: 1. Learners willingness and readiness to learn 2. Teachers' true passion to teach people and awareness that we all coming with different experiences and learn on different speed To learn how to ride a motorcycle, especially with absolute 0 experience can be thrilling, but at the same time scary, even terrifying and overwhelming for a learner. And that is where any school and their teachers (instructors in this case) can show their full shine. Following a bad experience with another school, I gave myself time to rethink and potentially give up (as my confidence went from 0 to minus 10). But, by chance I ran on the RJH training group (they sneak in on my social media :)) and I decided to give it another go. So, how did it go? After sending enquiry - response from the office team was almost immediate. I have a chance to talk via email and via phone with the booking team within 24 hours. Charlie has been ready to listen and willing to help. Therefore, thank you Charlie for listening to my rant :) and connecting me with RJH Chorley (because that little Honda Grom was there) I was ready to start my journey... My 1st tester session was with Jon H. (The IT man :)) I am so grateful to Jon H. to be there that day, with his patience, understanding and willingness to be out with me on that horrible wet day (the sky decided to open to the earth and rain was horrible). On my 1st CBT day things went a bit backward. Tony W. (The policeman :)) was there and my performance was worse than ever. We finished the morning part and decided I am not ready. Reflecting on that day I would put out 2 things: 1. tiredness (as CBT came after whole week of long shifts for me) 2. Anxiety - as we were group of 4 and 2 students had previous experience and they were picking up on things with such an ease I could not follow Thank you Tony for patience and fantastic constructive critics and for words of encouragement to continue and not to be upset, angry and disappointed with myself(I wasn't - actually I went that day home so proud on myself :)) That day Rob (The Boss) was there and we booked another tester and CBT. My 2nd tester was with Scott J. - the day was so funny. Scott relaxed yet on spot approach and encouragement has been vital. I really love your huge bike with a low seat ;) My 2nd CBT day came and I was dying of fear in general :). Paul P. was on this part of my journey and he made me more relaxed through the day. OK I died one more time when he put the Honda CBF out for me, as I thought I am not able to get on that bike, nor do anything on it. But, we gave it a go. Thanks to my fellow companion on that CBT day as he allowed me few extra circles around the pod alone to see if I can try CBF On end of that 2nd CBT day I was tired, exhausted and in pain :) :) :), but I got my certificate I would like to say a huge thank you to the RJH team for the warm and welcoming feeling, understanding, support, encouragement, all constructive criticism and all advice given during the testers, training and for later. The RJH team is friendly, with lots of banter, yet with a highly professional approach. You can feel welcomed and they are ready to assist, guide and teach you. And above all they are thinking about your safety. There were no rolling eyes, nasty comments or shouting. All that helped me to achieve my 1st baby step towards full licence. I know, I know... many will say that is just CBT - keep your comments for yourself please :) RJH team you are fantastic and you are my stars Keep doing great work you already do and become even better Thank you so so much And I hope to see you again on the rest of the journey T

Fantastic experience: I did the beginner DAS course through RJH, rode out from predominantly Chorley and Eccles. Great instruction throughout the process, it really is worth doing the taster session along with the conversion to a big bike. I had different instructors throughout the course, each identifying areas I needed to improve on. Overall, it was a great experience and RJH got me to pass MOD1 and MOD2 first time! Special thanks to Tony (the master) for giving an extra evening session the night before my MOD2 Test!

Negative experience: This company just rips you off. Sent my son with this company to do a CBT course, paid £275. He wasn't feeling 100% on the day but just a little sick and still wanted to go. The instructor sent him home later that morning, made out all we had to do is speak to the booking team to book him on another course but when I did this they're saying I now need to pay another £275 to book onto another course because otherwise " the business would be at a loss" I wouldn't mind if we had wasted peoples time or never even turned up to begin with but we turned up and was sent home two hours later for "safety" reasons and now need to pay more money jsug so the company isn't at a loss. Absolutely disgusting!

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT I was a bit nervous but anybody thinking about doing it I would even to experience it and Jon was nice giving me pointers with what I was struggling with but got over it and passed thanks to Jon I hope you are there next he was funny with his jokes

Fantastic experience: Had to renew my CBT as my previous one had ran out. Jon was absolutely brilliant. I've been riding now for years but just haven't gotten round to doing my test yet, and Jon taught me some techniques that nobody has ever shown me before that made my slow riding skills a lot better, and gave me more confidence going forward to taking my test in the future. Would definitely recommend Jon. He's also a good laugh and makes the whole experience very enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: Really excellent instruction in Chorley. 1st class facilities and equipment, you need look no further. John is an ex teacher and a long term rider so he knows his stuff and just as importantly he knows how to deliver it. Very helpful, very professional and leaves you with the desire to keep on going and to keep on learning. Fun too so it was a very enjoyable day. Mark W

Fantastic experience: Did my cbt today and I was fairly nervous at the start but with jon as my instructor the nerves soon went and it was smooth sailing, if anyone is thinking about doing a cbt don't hold back go for it the staff are amazing and friendly and if your lucky like me and get jon be ready for the dad jokes all jokes aside thankyou for helping me complete my cbt

Fantastic experience: Myself and my daughter did our CBT on the same day and we both passed, the trainer/instructor made us both feel relaxed and no pressure which helped a lot, I will definitely be going back to do my Mod 1 and Mod 2 in the near future, RJH thank you so much, loving riding our bikes together x

Negative experience: i was cancelled on twice at the chorley site, both times it was the instructor ‘John’ that had it cancelled. First time was 19th of August, in which he called me just as i was getting ready in the morning saying he had food poisoning. and the second time, today (2nd september) the company managers called me stating it had to be called off after i had already waited an hour and a half at the site, saying that they couldnt get through to John/JB whilst he was supposed to be travelling from manchester. therefore didnt know where he was and they had to call the CBT off. i had to book 2 days off from work for this CBT, which both times never ended up happening. waste of time and missed out on money. ridiculous. in the end i have asked for a refund as i refuse to keep being let down by the same instructor. i wouldnt waste your time or your money with this company and instead go somewhere more reliable.

Fantastic experience: Completed my CBT with Paul last week at the Chorley centre. Nothing but good things to say about this place. Huge thanks to Paul for helping me shake those nerves off and letting me loose on the roads! A week later, I have my own little 125 to practice on and 50 miles (and counting!) under my belt hubby is even more stoked than me now he has a stable mate for his bike Roll on the adventures ️️❤️

Fantastic experience: Had a taster session today with Tony at Chorley. I had a brilliant couple of hours. I attempted my CBT with another riding school and was sent home after 2 hours due to lack of skills I wasn’t sure if motorbikes were for me. Tony started with the basics and built my confidence. I can’t recommend Tony and RJH motorbike training enough. I will be booking in for another session with my sights set on the CBT and then my direct access. Thank you Tony!

Fantastic experience: Had my first manual CBT with Tony, which I unfortunately didn't manage to get the jist of the clutch. Rebooked back in for a taster and Nick taught me a way which just sank in! Referring to the clutch to a dog lead and with my love for dogs I fully understood him. I rebooked my CBT with Nick in Wigan and passed. I'm now back out on the road after 7years and loving it!! Thank you very much to the RJH team, including the phone operators, and especially Nick for his time and amazing reassurance!!

Fantastic experience: Completed my cbt today with Jay as my instructor. He always made sure both me and the other student were completely up to speed at all times. If one of us struggled with something he demonstrated and thoroughly explained the manoeuvre and gave that person the full yard to themselves until they were confident. All equipment provided was well maintained and clean. I would strongly recommend anyone reading this book their cbt with Jay as you’ll definitely get it done first time.

The instructor “jay” was first class. Very professional and explained everything thoroughly. Wasn’t expecting to enjoy the course as much as I did. Great set up and a great group of people. Fantastic experience: I had my CBT on a manual motorbike in Chorley with Jon. I was a little apprehensive about riding a manual at first, but he was able to gradually build my confidence, knowledge and skill on the motorbike. He has the right blend of teaching ability, technical skill, and some helpful tips and memory tricks to help understand the motorbike, and when you're ready, to understand the road. You'll have to forgive him for his 'dad jokes' though. I feel ready to move on to lessons, and I feel safe and in control of a 125cc on the road. Thank you RJH Chorley!

Fantastic experience: Did my CBT on 29th of July 23 with Tim. Brilliant instructor, his teaching style was informative and fun, all in all had a great day, he was also very understanding and patient with me having high anxiety. Can't wait to do more training with him.

Positive experience: Passed both mod 1 and 2 first time, training is fantastic. Only reason for 4 stars was the hiccup with the cones blowing in the wind meaning one lesson was cancelled half way through and I had to have another lesson at extra costs but the training is great the lads are sound to get on with make you feel very comfortable etc, would reccomend

Fantastic experience: Unsure of the instructors name but I’m sure you’ll find him in notes (Dominic) Had a 2hr taster yesterday at Chorley RJH after initially doing a cbt at another RJH I was feeling unsure about certain elements of riding a motorcycle and wasn’t confident that I could pass a cbt as I was scared of the bike. The instructor was absolutely spot on and took on that I was nervous but instructed me in a way I could understand and learn at my own pace there was no rush only drilling in start to finish how to ride. I went from struggling to move a bike and being terrified of the sound to now being comfortable at changing gears, emergency stop, clutch control at very slow speeds, riding at more steady speed without panicking and pulling out at junctions (practice) and overall confidence. All in a 2hr taster!! Fantastic! Current police officer and the instructor was also former police so we had a good chat about that aswell overall just a great experience.

Fantastic experience: I’m a 56 year old bloke who hasn’t rode a motorbike since I was 21 in ‘88 and I wanted to get back on two wheels ‘cause I missed that part of my life. So bought a Honda CB125R and now thanks to these guys I can now ride it. Graham gave a brilliant pep talk to start and put us at ease, then Nick introduced us to our bikes for the day and patiently built up our confidence and control through different scenario exercises to ensure we were safe to go on the road. After lunch and a talk about the Highway Code, we put on our radio mikes and went for a two hour drive around Chorley area through different roads/speeds/ roundabouts and practiced u turns & emergency stops whilst Nick encouraged us and reminded us as we went along, to fine tune our driving skills and drive out bad/unsafe habits. A big thank you to Nick who thanks to his friendly patient and professional approach, taught me the riding skills that will undoubtedly save my life as I enjoy my midlife crisis, and relive my love of two wheels. I would highly recommend R J H, I will be back to them soon to get my full “A” license, I can’t wait….

Negative experience: I BOUGHT A 2022 BIKE FROM CHORLEY YAMAHA MOTOR BIKE 131 EAVES LANE CHORLEY PR6 0TB. WITH 600 MILES ON THE CLOCK. FROM THE TIME I RECEIVED THE BIKE FROM THEM NOTHING BUT TROUBLE. IT ARRIEVED WITH A FLAT BATTERY SO I HAD TO GET A NEW BATTERY AND GET IT FITTED BY A LOCAL GARAGE. WITHIN 2 WEEKS IT BROKE DOWN AGAIN WITH ALTERNATOR TROUBLE. ONCE AGAIN HAD TO SEND IT TO A DEALER FOR REPAIRS.THEY SAID SOME WIRING WAS NOT CORRECTLY FITTED. SO NO WARRANTY AND I HAD TO PAY FOR THE WORK. I CONTACTED THE DEALER THAT I BOUGHT BIKE FROM AND THEY SAID NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM BASICALLY SAYING GET LOST. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO CHECK EVERYTHING WORKS AND NO ISSUES WITH THE BIKE AS PER LAW BEFORE DELIVERY. OBVIOUSLY DID NOT DO THERE JOB. THEY REFUSED TO PAY FOR PROFESSIONAL WORK CARRIED OUT OR ANY COMPESATION FOR THE INCONVENIENCES CAUSED BY THERE TOTALLY FAULTY BIKE. COST TO ME IN TOTAL £200 ON TOP OF WHAT I PAID TO CHORLEY YAMAHA BIKES. PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant instructors! Myself and my youngest son {19} done our Mod 2 Training with Graham and Nick at the Chorley centre today 13/04/2023. Both are very professional, knowledgeable and they relay that knowledge and guidance to you in an easy and friendly manner, makes the whole experience enjoyable and puts you at ease, cannot recommend RJH enough. Booked our Mod 2 test with them also.

Fantastic experience: Had my bike taster session with Graham who was just fantastic. First time ever sat on a bike and he made me calm and confident. He showed me the basic safety but kept it fun and light hearted.
