Fantastic experience: Super professional team right from the start of the call you make to book, all the way to the end of your training. Very smooth process, the team take their time to explain as well as answer any questions you may have. They focus on you, to turn you into a safe/quality rider not to just pass the tests. Major factor is that they only train two at a time per instructor. That means they offer you the time and dedication for them to spot the flaws and the cons of your progression targeting the area where more practice is needed. That shows loyalty and commitment to their profession as well as expertise. Many other riding schools I considered before them were doing training in larger groups but also more expensive! Speaking of price, excellent value for money if you fail the resit is payed by them, thats showing confidence in the training provided by them that you will not fail but pass first time. Highly recommend them to anyone thinking about riding motorcycles, whether they have never ridden one or have but want to refresh and further develop their skills as a rider. Best of the best ! Negative experience: I really wouldn’t bother booking with these. The lady that takes your booking is very professional but I’m afraid that’s where it stops. I wish I’d read the reviews before booking. It’s explained very well that you need the correct attire which is great. My son turned up for his CBT this morning with two options for his footwear. The instructor, who was late himself, making it very aware that he’s had a bad start to the morning, then told my son that he didn’t have the correct footwear on. My son produced his second option that fully covered his ankles and was no different to another member in the group that he allowed to continue. The instructor had already made his mine up to end my son’s day, before it even began. He wouldn’t even let him change to demonstrate that they covered his ankles. He did all this while rolling a cigarette, right in front of him. I can’t comment for all the instructors but we were unfortunate to have one with no professionalism whatsoever.

Fantastic experience: Big shout out to Alex (instructor). Adding to the already long list of happy customers. Positive, reassuring and highly knowledgable on tips and tricks to pass. I failed my Mod 2 twice already in London and passed first time with Direct Access in Swindon, with only 1 minor! Highly recommend!

Finds an excuse to get an early day by cancelling the training but getting paid a full day. Acts intimidating and threatening when you try to talk to him and explain that it’s unfair. Wouldn’t recomend

Negative experience: Alex is extremely patronising, rude and intimidating! I wouldn’t take the risk booking with these lazy liars! Especially on a Friday!! They look for any excuse to cancel the course and go home early with a full pocket!! Scumbags if you ask me, ripping off teenagers. Disgusting service and general attitude, please be warned

Fantastic experience: If you are not very confident on a motorcycle this business has two very knowledgeable and patient instructors, they don’t get stressed or inpatient they only want to guide you and get you up to a respectable standard. My experience on Friday march the 15th was very good and I feel more comfortable riding my 125cc around Swindon now. The weather was the only issue for me on the day of the training but that’s out of there control. The lady that I spoke to on the phone also was very helpful and polite. The location is a little hard to find so I’d do some research first before heading there. My review summary is Great instructive training Polite and helpful instructor’s Great for everyone

Fantastic experience: Direct Rider is an excellent motorbike school which allowed me not only to re-gain confidence in my riding, I somehow failed Mod2 twice with another school, but actually to really enjoy it! My coach was there in every step - letting me be and stepping in with right remarks and instructions whenever I needed it. I felt that he fully understood the areas where I had to put in more effort, while providing with all the necessary knowledge and tips for passing successfully the test. Great personalised and friendly delivered service! The admin services, those who work behind the scene and make all this possible, were no less brilliant and effective and always managed to propose dates for the training sessions which were compatible with my work! Last but not least, the value to money you are getting is really great! In brief, I can't recommend enough this school!

Fantastic experience: I asked Alex (instructor) why the number of reviews paled in comparison to other riding schools when the training here is so in-depth and intensive than others. He just replied that he didn’t have to, as his customers come from word of mouth. That says a lot! I did my full license here and Alex is such a pleasant instructor to learn under, he is very patient, helpful, goes that extra mile to help you prepare extensively for your tests. He also is able to explain the intricacies of biking very well so that you can use it as you progress into your biking journey. I know I certainly will.

Fantastic experience: Did my CBT yesterday on my own little moped and the instructors where so understanding whenever it stalled out especially during the on road riding section taught well and drilled the lifesaver technique and mirror checking along with indications into us recommend hope to do my a1 with them in a year time.

Fantastic experience: CBT to full license Alex and his team are with out a doubt the nicest, professional and passionate people there are! They got me though my CBT, MOD 1 (no minors, 1st time) and MOD 2 (1 minor 1st time) and honestly I don't think I would have done so well or even have passed with out there guidance. As a person with autism, ADHD and high anxiety, they really helped me and took there time explaining in away that made sense to me and for that I'm so thankful. I did my CBT with Paul here too, great and very funny guy, he is always smiling and positive. I later came back for my A2 and was yet again extremely pleased with Alex, very funny guy with a great personality. Fantastic experience: Just completed my Direct Access with Alex and he was fantastic, I went from a super nervous newbie dropping the bike all over the place to very comfortably passing. It's not just the techincal side of instructing that is amazing, Alex also has a great understanding of psycology and mental blocks for tests. If you have any sort of issues ie you work odd hours. he can come up with a tailor made course just for you. Also had some great laughs along the way, I would highly recommend these guys for any motorcycle training needs.

Fantastic experience: Passed my mod 1 and mod 2 earlier this year with these guys. Couldn’t ask for a more knowledgable, motivational and patient instructor. If you want a course with top results without all the fuss definitely give these guys a call.

Fantastic experience: Alex and the team are FANTASTIC! Very professional approach and a calm deliverance ensuring all vital information is understood and retained. Very welcoming, accommodating and understanding of your ability and your needs from the lessons, and a friendly voice over the radio in your ear, when you make a mistake, you are not made to feel af its is the end of the world, you are simply informed what when wrong, how to prevent in future and then to repeat the steps to ensure you have it nailed. Roundabouts were the big one for me, especially Mannington and Bruce Street but after lessons with Alex, all of my worries and quabbles were instantly quashed and was reinforced with facts and information and the friendly deliverance meant all knowledge was easily retained. For the show me tell me questions Alex really helped me slow things down, break it into pieces and understand each section of the questionnaire, and again the friendly deliverance was vital to retaining that information, I was never made to feel in the wrong for anything, and it was a breeze passing my module 2. Thank you so much to Alex and all involved at Direct Rider Training. Would recommend to absolutely everyone looking to take lessons/ their test Beyond 10/10 in all aspects and a full 5 Star review!

Fantastic experience: I am an older cbt trainee for insurance requirements and have not riden a bike since 1977. Boy am I glad I took the cbt with these guys! At 63 years old I needed to relearn the skills and I could not be in better hands. The skills training is modular from real basics and the progression to eventually go live on road is perfect. I did my cbt with Adam who was an amazing teacher that was calm and patient. He made sure that not only was he satisfied that I was safe on the bike but that I felt safe and confident on the bike and when you have never touched a motorcycle before was really reassuring. I cannot recommend this company enough, I will be sure to go to them for all my future motorcycle training in the future!

Fantastic experience: Couldn't ask for more. Alex is friendly, polite , patient , nothing is too much trouble and very professional at the same time. Cbt is done and i will be doing the full license with him.

Negative experience: Only giving one star because I can't give zero. I booked a CBT test and followed the joining instructions carefully in terms of the equipment and what I needed to bring on the day, but was very rudely turned away as I did not have a motorcycle jacket with armour on. The instructions said a "suitable jacket" which leave room for lots of interpretation. Not only was I turned away but when I calmly challenged the instructor I was told to F*&k Off which is both offensive and highly unprofessional. I have the feeling they simply did not want to run the course that day as the other person that arrived had not bought his drivers license, but it meant that I had wasted a day's leave and did not get a full refund. Absolutely terrible customer service and the most unprofessional company I've ever had the misfortune to deal with.

Fantastic experience: Passed my Cbt, Mod 1 and Mod 2 with Direct Rider Training all I can say is Alex is amazing and will teach you how to ride a bike right and safely. Any one who is thinking of doing a Cbt or full bike licence you need to give Alex or Claire a email or call, you wont be disappointed and this is the best riding school in Swindon.

Fantastic experience: I rate Alex and Direct rider training very highly and can’t recommend him enough! Alex is very professional, knows his stuff, knows the test routes inside out and would tell you nuances of what to look out during the test in such a way that it stays sticky. Always happy to answer your question, no issues in going though routes multiple time till you are confident. Overall a great bloke, do not think twice, just go with Alex and you will not regret it! Ps: I have had interactions with other motorcycle training Schools in swindon and all of them seem more interested in making money out of it then providing a good reasonable service!

Fantastic experience: Couldn't ask for a better intructor, completely professional and down to earth. Let's you go at your own pace isn't concerned about how long it takes, he just wants safe riders. Really informative and knows his stuff. More than willing to help with anything you don't grasp first time, explains everything thoroughly. Makes sure you understand and regularly asks if you have any concerns or questions.
