I had used another school for my previous CBTs and renewals but they were a nightmare with communication and booking lessons. Whereas I could call up and get dates immediately. Slight mishap on MOD2 day where I couldn't ride one of the z650s to the test centre like originally planned and had to make my own way there. But ah well

Fantastic experience: Great training from these guys, i am retired & decided to try Motorcycling, i had 3 pre CBT training sessions as i had never rode a motorcycle before & these guys taught me so much about safety and Handling a motorcycle, I completed my CBT on the 8th of October 2024 and it has opened up a new adventure for me, i'm getting more confident on the bike everytime i go out riding, i just want to thank all the guys who helped me get through my CBT, I would highly recommend anyone thinking about Motorcycling to use Bumpy, Once again guys thanks so much. Fantastic experience: Just set foot in my front door and felt compelled to write this review straight away. Our 14yr old son has just had the most wonderful time at Bumpy during a 1hr lesson we bought him for his birthday, and hasn't stopped grinning all the way home. Our son has autism and ADHD diagnosis's so can at times, struggle in certain situations and isn't always the best at taking instructions. His instructor for today was Elizabeth, who from start to finish was absolutely amazing. Her course delivery was fantastic and she held our sons attention throughout the entire lesson. The smile on his face was enough to let us know it wasn't going to be our last visit, so promptly booked him in again.

Fantastic experience: After using another company a few years ago who were very poor with communication and booking lessons/tests, Bumpy was recommended to my husband by friends who had also trained and passed here. Instructors are second to none, give it their everything to make sure that you are equipped with the knowledge and the skills to pass your tests, and at the same time making sure your experience is enjoyable. My husband loved his training here, and will highly recommend this company to anyone who is wanting to pass their motorcycle test. He had their full support from start to finish, there wasn't any big delays in between lessons or tests. Deserves more than the 5 stars we can give on here.

Fantastic experience: Completed the whole course with Bumpy. CBT, Mod 1 & Mod 2 at an ease with the help of Martin. All the staff are amazing and genuinely want to help everyone learn and pass. Can’t recommend enough!

Negative experience: I extremely disappointed with my experiance I booked in advance and no confirmation received Completely unorganised the system is unprofessional, I arrived for my scheduled class only to be told that I was late and couldn’t join, despite not receiving any confirmation or clear instructions about timing beforehand. Their rigid and unprofessional approach left me feeling like my time were not valued. they need to seriously improve their system, They seriously need to overhaul their operations if they want to retain customers.

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT with Bumpy recently. I can highly recommend them. Three of us were in the group and our instructor, Paddy, had a lot to get through as the course is quite intensive for novices. He was brilliant, and wanted more than anything for us all to do well and get our certs. He took his responsibility for our safety seriously, which is the most important thing. I’m planning to now do my conversion, mod 1 and mod 2 with Bumpy. Thanks Bumpy!

Fantastic experience: Booked in last minute on Friday . Just done my CBT with the trainer Martin. Top trainer polite and respectable and double checked my understanding. I went out on the road and felt very confident . Martin was happy to pass me on the CBT course with some advisories and safety advice . I have done my CBT before with another company in bradford called XS Motorcycles in 2019 it was no where near as informative and thorough as Bumpy Ltd. I recommend this company for your training they are friendly and approachable . The premises and training grounds are clean and well presented. I will be back to do my mod1 and 2 with them too.

Negative experience: Decided to book a CBT after doing a good amount of online research on obtaining a motorbike licence and the basics of riding a motorcycle. After the instructor (Andy) went over the theory/saftey/bike maintenance talks we proceded to learn how to go onto the motorbikes physically. After spending time with the two other individuals on the bike (both managed to ride the bike around on site track) it was my turn. All that happened was I managed to sit on the bike,switch it on and the instructor told me to get off the bike and said I was "too nervous" and I was talking time off the other 2 learners (he spent time with them while I was waiting for my turn ) Management didn't listen to the complain and said I should have booked a hour session beforehand. The whole point of cbt is TRAINING - Not examination. I didnt even have the chance to ride the bike ON SITE. For the bike not moving an inch and for them to say I was unfit to proced while taking the full £175 is very unjust. I feel like this centre is just a cash grab.

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT on August 19th with Nathan and I can honestly say he is firm but fair when it comes to riding. (At the end of the day your safety is paramount on a bike) a very nice chap who will have a laugh with you. (Please pass on my thanks!) I told him from the offset that I intended to go for Mod1/Mod2 and asked if he could give me pointers and advice specifically towards this and he catered for me and listened to my questions. When out on the road he was telling me things I needed to improve on, at the end of the day he suggested I get a 125 first to get a bit more familiar with the gears etc. I also ordered most of the gear from here and all the staff were willing to help out with helmet selection etc. Bike has been ordered and I feel confident that I’ll be back to get my full license with the help of Bumpy and the team. EDIT: one year later and I have passed the full license. A massive thank you to all the staff at Bumpy. I was hit by a car and had to postpone training, they showed empathy and let me rebook when I was ready. I cannot find any faults at all, everyone is friendly and they really encourage you to progress on. THANK YOU.

Fantastic experience: Used Bumpy to for my conversion course through to Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests after being recommended by friends. Instructors are very patient and clear when training, whilst also not beating around the bush to ensure you work on weaker areas. Passed both Mod 1 and Mod 2 first time each with one rider fault after only riding motorbikes for ~2 months which shows how effective their training/instructors are. Highly recommend using Bumpy for DAS training and will be recommending to everyone in the future. Thanks to Andy, Nathan and Steve for everything!!!

Fantastic experience: Worked with an unreliable school before this. Reached out to Bumpy, and I passed both mod 1 & 2 at the first attempt in less than a month. Instructors are firm but respectful and train you to be safe on the road whilst teaching you to pass the tests as well.

Fantastic experience: Booked a trials coaching session for me and my boy to learn trials to improve our enduro riding. Tutor (Niall) was brilliant. Knowledgeable and patient and worked on the areas we wanted to learn. Bike and gear was provided. Venue has a great trials section with varied obstacles and terrain from beginner to advanced. 100% we will go back for more.

Fantastic experience: Went to Bumpy a nervous novice in December but was met by a super friendly team that helped reassure me and talked me through the process. All the instructors are excellent but the one I had, Andy, was brilliant. He gave clear instructions and helped build confidence and within a short space of time guided me through the mod 1 & mod 2 tests. I really can't thank them all enough and would highly recommend Bumpy to anyone thinking of taking their bike tests. Excellent from start to finish. Thank you team Bumpy.

Fantastic experience: I cannot give this service a higher recommendation. The team here took me through pre CBT upto passing my Mod 2 without fail. They are the most positive bunch ever, all of them Steve, Kyle, Andy and Martin all took me through my entire journey. Ever so friendly, helpful and will take you to being the best you can be during your time with them. This service is A Class all the way, professional and concise. If you want to have fun learn a new skill or just for recreation. Then do not look any further. These guys get my stamp of approval and will recommend anyone to pay them a visit.

Fantastic experience: Recently undertaken my unrestricted bike licence training with Bumpy and would strongly recommend to anyone wanting to do the same. For my training I was tutored by Martin who is a very calming and professional instructor who went above and beyond for me on my test day! Safe to say without him I wouldn’t have passed. Their bikes and facilities are also brilliant. All staff I’ve met so far are friendly and helpful and it’s also good to know the money you spend with them supports helping the charitable side of the organisation. Strong recommendation.

Fantastic experience: After a really bad experience with another training centre 2 years ago for my cbt I decided to give bumpy a go and can honestly say they're fantastic, I will definetly return here to complete my full license.

Fantastic experience: My first experience of motorbike riding with Dan, Perfect instructor, he patiently explain for me how to ride motorbike as a begginer and a lot of encouragement and lessons I recived from him,friendly and supportive staff, High recommended for Cbt and new learners.

Fantastic experience: I had an hour on a bike on tarmac with an instructor. We worked through the skills and what would be needed for a CBT. The pace was varied as I pressed, or needed to practice. There was a sensible conversation about progression to the CBT. I dropped in to discuss and book the training, on both visits I found the atmosphere friendly and welcoming.

Not all places where you learn are equal to each other, this is by far the best place in the West Yorkshire area to learn to ride a motorcycle. 100% recommended for all levels of experience.

Fantastic experience: A friendly company with a great setup/location in Leeds, a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. I did my Direct Access with them over a matter of weeks, and can vouch for them being a professional 5* company. The instructors are patient, great communicators, adapt to your needs, are non-judgemental and put you at ease throughout. Shout out to Martin (trainer) who remains cool, calm and collected no matter what, and generally a decent bloke and excellent trainer - thank you. As a company they are really helpful on the phone and always do their best to help. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: Cancelled my CBT with bike school during my pre CBT due to losing my wallet. Months and months later I am still trying to get a refund

Negative experience: Very poor communication, virtually no customer service and they fail more people doing CBT than they pass, even though on the government website it clearly says “ you cannot fail or pass a cbt. No real instructions given on how to improve, just book again and give us more money. There are much nicer places to learn.

Fantastic experience: My 10 year old daughter had a 2 hour lesson with Owen, one of the instructors. She absolutely enjoyed it and amazed how far she progressed on her first lesson. Bumpy gets my AAAAAA+++++ recommendation. Many thanks Bumpy for making our day superb.

Negative experience: Really disappointed in level of service they offer. Can't be doing too well after coivid 19 as they try to scam you in to more lessons than need. Hope they don't pull through save future scams

Fantastic experience: Not having ridden a bike for many years I was a bit apprehensive about getting back on a bike. However, I was looking forward to taking my CBT. Andy was my instructor on the day, he was very knowledgeable, helpful and patient. Really enjoyed the day, learnt a hell of a lot, passed my CBT, looking forward to getting a bike now, and maybe taking my MOD 1 & 2 tests. Many thanks to Andy and the team.

Fantastic experience: Did my CBT here, the instructor was called Martin absolute top bloke. Made me feel comfortable and didn’t rush me at all. Gave me loads of advice about going onto my mods and A1 license. Wouldn’t do my tests anywhere else now.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant place great staff and local

Negative experience: Came with a special needs group and my son wanted to know if he could drive himself as we saw kids being driven by instructors. He's driven go carts/quads himself on a number of occasions and is very competent. Went inside and asked the receptionist, we were told that no kid is allowed to drive themselves as they do not have insurance. At that point my son didn't really see the point of only being driven round. Later on another kid who had been there told him he'd driven himself. He was pretty upset when he heard this so I contacted them to say what had happened that a member of their staff gave us incorrect information, their reply was basically they couldn't care less that what she told us was wrong. They tried to tell me that this is not the case and they do and a member of their staff would not have told me that!!! They judge each kid to see if they can drive alone or not. So I'd obviously imagined this woman telling me they had no insurance....... When I messaged back and said if she told me the kids could drive themselves then why would we have left? They didn't bother to reply. Absolutely piss poor customer service that's all I can say. It's one thing not to want to admit staff have made a mistake, but this woman was obviously on another planet and didn't have a clue how the place worked and she was the receptionist!! Reply........ I didn't misunderstand as you're implying as my son's friend was allowed to drive the small quad, he was allowed to drive himself around the course, not on the tarmac. My son is able bodied as is his friend, they both have ASD. as you have just said in the reply "There are also young people who attend these sessions who are able bodied and they get the opportunity to learn to drive the small quad bike", so what exactly did I misunderstand? What I asked her was clear "are the kids able to drive themselves round?" she said no, didn't at any time say that you have a small quad that kids can ride depending on their suitability/ability. It was , no we don't have insurance for kids to ride in any of the vehicles (I'm not talking about the bikes, we weren't there for that). I did complain and you couldn't seem to grasp we had been told incorrect information, which is obviously what it was if we're were told the above...........when clearly you have vehicles that they can. When I tried to explain that she didn't say anything about being judged on ability ect you ignored me. That's part of the reason you got one star. You knew what day and time we came so you knew who we'd spoken to at reception I can only give a review based on your staff, your customer service and how you treated my complaint, which was poorly and if I could have left no stars that's exactly what you would have got and for good reason.
