Pinewood Motorcycle Training

Fantastic experience: Took my CBT at Pinewood in June 2024. Took my lesson with Sean (apologies if incorrect spelling), nice guy, informative and helpful! Went back in August 2024 for further training as I wanted to take achieve an A1 licence as I'm a big scooter lover. Had lessons with Tony on a little yellow CBF 125. Great teacher, patient and understanding. Wealth of road knowledge and all round top bloke. Admin wise, dealing with Ayla was easy and was more than helpful. Passed my A1 test in November If you are thinking of taking your CBT or obtaining a motorcycle license I can't recommend them enough! Should I wish to gain further training in the future, I will definitely be coming back! 10/10 5* A+

Fantastic experience: Had the pleasure of being taught by these guys since 2016 from my first CBT, in August I decided to go for my full motorbike licence and was taught by Tony for my 1:1 sessions. Firstly, the CBT session is great, perfectly structured and whoever your instructor is, explains everything at a great pace and encourages you to pass. Great price to with what comes with it. My 1:1 sessions with Tony were perfect, not 1 lesson I had did I think was a waste or unnecessary. Tony knew I had a fair bit of riding experience and assessed what I needed to improve on for the tests. Tony knew I was confident riding and taught me without any micromanagement, just tweaking for what’s best practise. Great and fair prices and they won’t rinse you for money. Had the proud moment of passing my Mod 1 and 2 first time and I had these great people to thank for it. I couldn’t recommend this business more if you’re thinking of riding. 10/10

Fantastic experience: What an experience!! I have been training with Tony since March of this year and have enjoyed absolutely every minute of it. My aim was to obtain my full A license, and starting out I was very nervous and not even very confident on my own 125 and I never thought I could take on anything bigger. My lessons were scheduled around me and we always worked on something until we were totally happy with it. I failed my mod 1 but Tony took extra time with me to really pinpoint what I needed to work on, I then went on and passed my mod 1 and I passed my mod 2 on my first attempt! Tony is fantastically patient, incredibly knowledgeable and just super cool. Ayla has also been fantastic & super helpful when planning my lessons, I always had fast responses & great communication from her. There is no way I would have gained such enjoyment, memories and satisfaction anywhere else. Just couldn’t fault the whole team, I’m really going to miss my lessons and am incredibly lucky I got this experience. I will always remember it, thank you all :)

Fantastic experience: I used Pinewood to do my CBT, and now for my A2 licence. Tony is always a brilliant instructor, creating a really friendly environment to learn in. These guys got me through my a2 in great time, finding me a test cancellation when tests are tricky to find at the moment. Would absolutely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Motorcycle Unrestricted license done.✔️ Absolutely buzzing as passed my mod 2 today. The whole process from CBT, 1 to 1 lessons for mod 1 (1st time pass)and mod 2 (1st time pass) was amazing I have nothing else but good things to say about instructors at pinewood motorcycle training. Highly recommended to anyone who would like to start their journey for getting a full motorcycle license.

Tony is a fantastic teacher, patient, professional, friendly and knows exactly the right pace to keep you progressing at the most efficient pace. Ayla too was fantastic at keeping me informed and showed exceptional patience in putting up with me constantly asking if she’d spotted any cancellations yet when we struggled to find a space for the test. Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing experience and team. I have been waiting to leave my review here until I had completed my full license which I achieved today. I completed my CBT here in November and Sean was a great instructor who had me from being a complete novice to riding comfortably in a day. He is a friendly and informative teacher who makes you feel completely at ease which immediately takes all the nerves away. I then began with Tony in January and what can I say. I have loved every minute of it, I looked forward to all my lessons. Tony is a born teacher. His calm and patient teaching style make you feel completely comfortable and confident. All instructors of any kind could do with taking a leaf out of Tony's book, and although I'm over the moon I've passed part of me will miss the lessons as Tony made them so enjoyable. Ayla was great at getting bookings and tests booked in especially as I had to work it around work and home life and she did a fantastic job. The way the school is run is second to none, in my opinion, being able to do lessons at your own pace and have 1 on 1 training is absolutely invaluable. I would recommend this over an intensive course to anyone, I have come away from it feeling 100 percent confident in my ability to ride safely. There is no other school around offering this kind of teaching. I could go on for pages about how great it is but the best way for anyone thinking of learning and who may be reading this is to get in touch with the team and find out for themselves. Fantastic experience: I have been going to another CBT testing facility for a few years now and it came to that time again where I had to redo it as it only lasts for 2 years. I stumbled across Pinewood by chance as the other place was so busy and their website wasn’t working, boy am so glad I found pinewood! I have always redone my whole Cbt instead of doing a refresher purely because I never felt confident on the road, but after doing it with Pinewood I feel like a completely different rider! I am much more confidant and knowledgeable and I actually enjoyed the day. I would highly recommended Pinewood to women, the guys were all so welcoming, caring and I actually really enjoyed my day with them which I have never done in all my years of taking CBT’s elsewhere. 1st class for these guys they’re amazing!

Fantastic experience: I have been to Pinewood for my CBT, A2 and then full A licence over a number of years and I wouldn't recommend anywhere else. Tony is a brilliant trainer with amazing patience who got me through my tests in far fewer lessons than I expected. I have recommended them to my own family, friends and customers who have returned reporting a very similar positive experience. I've only just realised I hadn't left a review even years after getting my full license, I must have been too busy riding!

Negative experience: Totally disappointed with this school. I WISH I was aware at the time that they would drop me ( what a let down!!) with no warning nor explanation as soon as I have dropped the bike during the training ( MOD1) which is totally NORMAL based that they are TEACHING people to RIDE the motorcycle etc. and anything can happen. As it appeared, they have only ONE bike of 650 cc, which is pretty shocking knowing that it can simply be out of order/break down any day/time and NO REPLACEMENT available and thats what happened and my training stopped completely nor anyone really cared or been ONCE interested to contact me!! Since that moment, they simply “ forgot” that I was ever their CLIENT who spent significant amounts with their bussiness until then. All I been told, due to THIS now they have to cancel and cover the cost of other training sessions as there is NO BIKE for them while it is getting repaired. Totally embarrassing and shocking “ handling” of something’s which should’ve been.I have never experienced nor been treated with so much disrespect in my life by ANY bussiness ever ! Poor communication, constant need to chase for bookings, customer care &support are NONE existent. Thanks for other amazing schools being available which made my dreams come true and be able to ride a big bike finally!! P.S Wow what an impressive and “ professional” bussiness “response lol, please make sure you will read it TOO. Dear Ayla, many thanks for your reply, finally lovely to HEAR from you. I really do not need “ public’s “ nor anyone else’s “attention” so as not planning to “ struggle in life” , so perhaps “ shame on YOU” to say so. Please do not reveal your “ imaginary “ predictions as RIDERS ONLY do care about the QUALITY of your services- as simple as that and not about anyones LIVES lol. Fantastic experience: I have done my cbt, Full A license (mod1 and mod2) and i have to say i would recomended 100%. They are unique in the marquet, giving you a lot of flexibility on when and how you want to book your lessons, Anthony the main trainer is well aware of your skills and guide you on the right way through the whole process. Honestly you are in good hands with Pinewood. I can not recommend it enought. My only comment is to write them well in advance because they are always busy but sometime they have also cancelations so it is worth checking with them all the time. They are responsive and very friendly too.

Fantastic experience: UPDATE. Thought i would update this review as when it was first posted was based on CBT experience. Having continued on with training with Tony and having further communication with Ayla. I can honestly say the training received has been outstanding and i have now gained my full licence as of today. Tony is an outstanding tutor with a calm and informative way of teaching, nothing is too much trouble and the whole experience is more like riding out with a friend with no pressure or judgement. Thank you again to Tony and Ayla for all you have both done for me, its very much appreciated. Last did a CBT here many years ago. Wanting to get back into riding, i decided to book here again and definitely wasn't disappointed. Great communication and Sean's training style is friendly and relaxed, which instantly puts you at ease and makes the day a very enjoyable experience. I will definitely be back to progress my riding towards passing my test. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Thanks to Tony for teaching me so well to pass both my Mod1 and Mod2 first time for my full bike license. Thanks to Ayla for sorting out all the lessons and test bookings so quickly. I managed to get my full motorcycle license in just over 6 weeks! If you need any motorcycle training then look no further - this is the place to go!

Fantastic experience: Tony, Ayla and Sean will teach you how to safely and properly ride a motorcycle. They patiently and diligently pass on not only their skill, but also their experience. So far I have passed the CBT with Sean and am having tuition with Tony in preparation for taking my test. I am far more interested in learning from experienced trainers than I am in passing a test as quickly as I can so I can get on a bike that performs way outside of my skill set. I cannot recommend Pinewood enough for those of a similar mindset.

Fantastic experience: From novice to passing my Mod 2 in five months with small break between CBT and first lessons. Great experience with Tony guiding me on the journey, Sean for getting me through CBT and Ayla for all the organising and getting everything aligned every step of the journey. One thing I really like about my experience was learning to ride and not just learning to pass Mod1 /Mod2. If you want to learn to ride then Pinewood are the team to get you there!

Fantastic experience: Back at the beginning of September, I had never touched a motorbike let alone rode one. Come today, I have my full A licence to ride whatever I want, and it was all thanks to the guys at Pinewood Motorcycles. From CBT to Mod 2 everything was extremely smooth and well communicated, and I don't think anywhere else could have made the journey as simple (yet enjoyable) from start to finish. Tony was an excellent instructor, extremely patient and taught me how to ride safely and with vigilance at all points. Every now and then I would struggle with a certain manoeuvre but he would always stay patient and guide me through how to sort it out. Ayla was also great at finding spots for lessons and indeed the Mod 1 and 2 tests when the time came around. Needless to say I'm chuffed, and can't recommend these guys enough. If you were like me and are starting from zero in terms of riding, these guys will get you sorted and then some. Thanks a bunch, guys!

Fantastic experience: I had 0 experience on a bike and have now passed my full bike license after tonys tuition!! If you are like me and a little hesitant of where to start and wondering where is best to go just go to pinewood. Tony has been an incredible instructor from day one, and doesn't just teach you how to pass your test but to be a safer rider. He was so patient throughout all my lessons and just a lovely bloke in general. Ayla was great at finding spaces for lessons and booking tests far sooner than I thought possible too. I have done my cbt and had small amounts of experience with different instructors and training centres and pinewood was 10x better. I will always recommend it even if it requires a longer journey. If my son wanted to get a license, I would tell him to go there and that says it all! Thanks Tony!!

Fantastic experience: Tony, Sean and Ayla were great supporters for me (and other participants) throughout the preparation for CBT, Mod 1 and Mod 2. Excellent communication, a lot of theoretical and practical knowledge, patience and understanding of my needs, flexibility when it comes to meeting times - These are just some of the things that I got from this team during my adventure which was this motorcycle course - of course, successfully completed during the exams. Fantastic experience: Have just passed my full motorbike licence four months after doing my CBT with Shaun. The one-on-one tuition with Tony is fantastic as he picks up on all the areas that need improvement and explains them in a non-judgemental way. The end result being that you're a much more confident rider ahead of being test ready. Thanks also to Ayla for her patience in finding space for extra lessons and booking all the tests for me. Will miss the dulcet tones of 'Tony FM' in my ear as we cruise around the streets of Berkshire and Hampshire with me picking incorrect lanes on roundabouts and missing speed limit signs - all the while being guided back to where I need to be with Tony's gentle manner. An awesome bunch of guys and fantastic school if you want to learn to ride confidently. Thanks guys!

Fantastic experience: Based on the reviews already posted there is not much that I can add other than to concur. My own experience also added the exploration of the concentrated 3 day train/test option with another riding school. What a mistake that was. It works for some but didn't for me. I ended up going back to Tony and the one to one coaching that subsequently enabled me to pass my test. So thank you to all at Pinewood, I can now enjoy some road trips and life experiences with my son.

Fantastic experience: Wanting to get back on a bike after more than 30 years, it was a brilliant experience learning to ride again with Pinewood. Tony is a great instructor, building up the techniques for controlling a bike and helping to develop the roadcraft needed over a number of lessons. He is encouraging, patient, explains well, and certainly gave me the confidence to continue learning. Nothing but a big smile at the end of each session. Fantastic experience: I have just completed my training with Pinewood Motorcycle Training. My CBT was with Sean...brilliant training and an excellent, patient and entertaining down to earth person. After passing the CBT first time, I then completed my training for the mod 1 and 2 direct access which I passed 2 days ago. In summary, Sean and Tony are faultless in their approach to how they train you. I highly recommend anyone who is looking to take their bike test, thank you so much for helping me pass my test in only 10 hours of your expert tuition. I collect my Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 from a very local bike shop tomorrow (28th May) and look forwards to using the skills developed to enjoy the bike safely. Thank you Tony Sean and Ayla.

Fantastic experience: Was recommended this place by someone who done their CBT. I too recommend it to others. Fantastic day, did training with Sean Was a brilliant instructor. Despite having to teach 2 people on 2 very different bikes (1 50CC ped and 1 125CC manual) he was always on point with both of us. Will hopefully being doing my A2 here when I can.

Fantastic experience: Very nice experience with the team here, after failing a couple of times in a different place and thinking it may be my lack of talent, as the advice before was quite precarious. All the people very friendly and giving you confidence and positive energy, so I managed to pass the CBT straightaway. I really look forward to return for more training, so I can pass the test for the license! Strongly recommended, and I will also take my wife there for CBT! Now already confident on the road riding my bike!

Fantastic experience: I had no riding experience at all before learning with Pinewood last November. I passed my CBT & then passed both my Mod 1 & Mod 2 tests within 11 lessons; this is testament to Tony & the rest of the team at Pinewood & their fantastic approach / techniques. Fantastic experience: Having tried, pre-COVID, an accelerated programme to complete all three practical tests, in minimal time, I realised I needed to get some miles under my belt, under good quality professional instruction. This I found at Pinewood, whom I cannot fault. Having just passed my MOD 2, the instruction, advice and guidance Pinewood provided to get me to this point has been invaluable and so much fun. Buckets of encouragement and patience for someone like me who back in February had never been on a bike! You won’t go wrong choosing to learn with the Pinewood team! What a great day! Just passed my CBT with these guys. Great training centre! patient, helpful & encouraging instructors. I came with zero motorbike riding experience and was able to confidently get through in under 6 hours. Wouldn’t have achieved that without their training experience! Highly recommend % - to the point where I’m wanting to get my full license with them!

Fantastic experience: Can’t Praise Tony and Pinewood enough due to experience with previous company I had lost my confidence bug time! But from day one on my CBT till completion on my MOD2 I had Tony all the way we enjoyed the journey together (well I did not sure about Tony ) and such a great training set up and lovely place to ride and build your experience I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone no matter how new you are to biking thanks again Tony I really appreciate all your help and patience and will keep in touch once I have my new bike

Fantastic experience: If you want a crash course in learning to ride a motorbike, this isn't the place for you. I started learning two years ago, with another training outfit in Reading, before COVID lockdown halted proceedings. I wasn't convinced by the Reading teaching methods, and switched to Pinewood in Crowthorne. Totally different approach to learning. The team are patient, professional, and experienced. With CBT completed, and now on the way to taking the Mod 1 test, I feel confident to ride safely, and no hesitation about taking the tests.

Done my CBT, MOD 1 and MOD 2 with these guys and they undoubtedly gave me the confidence to succeed. Their location is great, easy parking, good practice area and great nearby roads to train on,

Fantastic experience: Smooth operation. I wanted to upgrade from my A2 licence I had held for 3 years to a full A licence. Tony suggested an assessment ride to identify the areas I needed to improve in order to pass my test. We came up with a plan of how many sessions he proposed and what we would work on in each session. 4 weeks later, flawless passes in MOD1 and MOD2. Not only did this acheive what I had set out to do, but I learnt a lot of road skills/knowledge that boosted my confidence when out on the bike. Thanks a lot, Tony.

Fantastic experience: Renewed my CBT yesterday after Honda in Hatfields recommendation. Got to meet Sean and Tony who were really fun to talk to. They were both friendly and very welcoming. Sean was my instructor and gave me a lot of advice and was very informative. I learnt a few new things. Sean was patient, fun to learn from and gave insightful tips. He was willing to take the time to ensure you drive safely on roads. I'll be visiting again in future when i do my full MOD courses. Looking forward to training again.

Fantastic experience: Nice guys, very professional, proper ,correct and serious underneath and yet light-hearted on the surface. They got our guy through the CBT in one day without him ever having been on a bike before. And he had great fun! The start of his independent life. Brilliant!

Fantastic experience: Brilliant, friendly and professional! From my first contact over the phone with the lovely Ayla to the day of the CBT session, the team dealt with professionalism while being friendly and patient. Shawn who was our instructor on the day is an experienced rider and knows all the technical stuff inside out, he presented the theories with clear examples of real life and awlays explaining the reasons why and possible consequences if not following the rules correctly, when we were prepared to jump on the bikes we had an AMAZING time while learning ne skills and practicing them. Throughout the entire session Shawn was always very calm and observant, through the radio he was always very precise when instructing and correcting possible mistakes we could or have made. Look forward to completing the full license course with you guys!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Tony and his crew enough! Went from my CBT to my full licence with the center, and felt in safe hands throughout the whole journey. The guys really adjust to you and your requirements! You get to spend quality 1-2-1 time with your instructor, where you get to iron out all of your little mistakes. If you are thinking of taking up motorcycle riding! Or simply need a few sessions as a refresher! Get in touch and you can be assured you are in safe hands.

Negative experience: Rude and not willing to help the front offices. the driving instructors are amazing but the front desk is rude and unprofessional. When Trying to arange payment.

Fantastic experience: Picked Pinewood due to the reviews and was NOT disappointed. Having a couple of CBTs under my belt (different circumstances not allowing me to get a full licence), I thought I would know my stuff. How wrong I was, my original CBT, in a sense, wasn't worth the paper it was printed on. Yes I've picked up a few bad habits, but to learn about clutch control (being absolutely non-existent in my case) was a complete shock, this was something I had never been taught. How the heck have I survived the last 4 years? Sean was brilliant, we had a laugh about it, but in the seriousness of it he was a mentor with the patience of a Saint. I'm not perfect, and I've still got more to learn, but I have definitely come away with being able to do something that I should've been doing the whole time. Hats off to the team, and I would definitely recommend to others at ANY stage of their riding career

He’s very knowledgeable, has great patience and a matching sense of humour. Ayla was always on hand to rearrange lessons and/or tests as required. I was made to feel at ease during every lesson and they really care about your learning experience. I was supported and encouraged every step of the way from my cbt right through to passing my full bike licence. I would very highly recommend Pinewood to anyone, whether starting out as a new rider or for more in depth 121 training. They're brilliant!

Positive experience: Instructor was fantastic and patient. Although you should Learn the road code before you go here. As it takes longer without knowledge of the road code before a cbt. Bluetooth communication was poor though, could hardly hear though during the drive.

Fantastic experience: I feel much safer while riding now and passed MOD2 thanks to Tony & Ayla. Tony's patience, positive approach and smile makes the lessons very enjoyable. His attention to detail, follow up of your every move and timely comments makes you understand that you are in good hands and working with professionals. Ayla had been fantastic in following up next to impossible test days and fit in my heavy agenda. This is my first review on google as I normally do not write any reviews. However my experience with Tony and Ayla had been superb hence I felt it is worth sharing with others.

Negative experience: Done and passed my CBT with them which was great trainer was great but they had run out of certificates and nearly a year on I still have not received it after contacting them and even going to the place where the CBT was completed no arrangements were made to come in and collect cbt certificate if they had been i would have collected it.

Fantastic experience: My girlfriend and I have both learnt to ride at Pinewood, first with the CBT and then lessons which lead to our full license. We are so grateful to the Pinewood team for getting us through and making it an enjoyable and rewarding experience. We are so pleased to have passed yet gutted not to be riding with Tony still. Such a lovely run training school, efficient and get you the results you want. Couldn't have asked for more. We wish you every success and will see you again soon.
