Fantastic experience: Completed both the CBT and the DAS / A license course through PRT. Had Stuart as an instructor from start to finish, and he was excellent. Perfect blend of coaching while also letting you crack on without micro-managing you. Lorraine was a great help as my shift work made it difficult to book the DAS course but she was able to find all the right dates for me. All other staff members were extremely friendly when chatting with them throughout the day. PRT came recommended to me by a friend who passed through them and I would highly recommend them to others looking to start riding.

Fantastic experience: I guess your here as you looking at reviews to try and establish if this is the training school you should commit to? That was me a few weeks ago. Can't even say I would have been confident on a pedal bike on the road before I enrolled into PRT DAS course. The first call to Lorriane settles any nerves. Felt as if I was calling a friend, rather than the typical call made to businesses enquiring about thier product. I had Stuart throughout my training from CBT to the end, passing first time. Can't fault his teaching style, it's not spoon fed to you. He is a good instructor allowing you discover rights and wrongs without compromising anyone's safety. I'd recommend you give them a call. There's no pushy sales, just questions about you and what you want to achieve. For me I have a new large bike which I can now enjoy on my own safely! I'm still not confident on a pedla cycle but I am on a motorbike. Oh and they are incredibly reasonably priced! Thanks PRT team!

Positive experience: Can’t fault Adrian’s training and helpfulness. Unfortunately, due to my own neuro diversity, I found the one day CBT a bit overwhelming and needed to stop as I didn’t feel safe even on the pad. Despite being reassured that PRT were understanding, I was disappointed to not be able to arrange to go back on another date when I felt ready to be able to complete the training so it ended up being an expensive morning!

Fantastic experience: I went from a complete novice on a bike and completing the CBT on April 5th to passing MOD 2 on May 4th! I had Tim for my CBT & Day 1&2 of my DAS. I had Stuart for my Mod1 and Mod2. Tim and Stuart are excellent instructors each in their own way. I felt at ease throughout the course. Really had a great time learning and passing with PRT. Highly recommend you giving them a go if you're considering doing your licence. Thanks again! Scott

Fantastic experience: I had Tim for my CBT and I went from being nervous to enjoying the experience very quickly, fantastic teacher. Then I had Stuart for my Mod 1 and 2, another fantastic experience, I went from being nervous just sitting on the bike to passing both first time after spending just 3 days with Stuart. Highly recommended for anyone looking to get on 2 wheels.

Fantastic experience: I had Stuart take me from never having ridden a motorcycle all the way to achieving my A licence! I would 100% recommend PRT to anyone who wants to start their adventure on 2 wheels. I was nervous to start with on the day of my CBT, however the minute I was on the bike Stuart made me feel at ease and soon I was enjoying myself and learning a lot too. I went on to do my Direct Access training where the learning and fun didn’t stop. Safe to say I am thrilled with the experience.

Fantastic experience: DAS Course Experience: After a successful CBT, nearly 2 months later I was ready to come back for my A-category DAS course. My trainer, Stuart, was very approachable, patient, and knowledgeable throughout my four day course, which helped greatly in me passing both parts of my A-category test first time! The Honda CB650F bikes used at this level are great bikes to learn on: easy to handle, comfy to sit on, gentle on the throttle and difficult to stall. Furthermore, the smooth 4-cylinder means you can do the low-speed manoeuvres with clutch control only and no throttle, which makes the Module 1 a breeze compared with other trainers who may use different bikes. I cannot recommend this trainer enough, you will not be disappointed! To reiterate, with PRT's training I went from having never ridden a bike to passing my A category test and buying a 600cc bike, all in two months! If I can do it, so can you! CBT Experience: Tim and Adrian were excellent trainers and I felt very comfortable in their hands. Started off on a geared 125cc but based on their advice and in the interests of safety, I moved to a 50cc auto for the on-road portion of the CBT. I would recommend choosing these guys for all your motorcycle training needs, they are great. I had never ridden before today and I felt at ease. Daniel

Fantastic experience: I did my cbt there yesterday, and by far excellent instructors even though I did make a few mistakes they still encouraged me to carry on and have a rest before hand, friendly instructors friendly pupils too I'll be doing my cbt here again in 2 years.

Fantastic experience: The whole team were brilliant! Tim & Stuart are genuinely great guys and the way they deliver the training and the equipment supplied is 1st class. I was not overly confident that I would get far in trying to finally get my full bike licence after years of thinking about it as I haven’t ridden since I was a teenager. I finally went for it thinking I would just give the CBT a go see how I get on. As soon as I met the guys I felt at ease and from the CBT to the Mod 1 & Mod 2 test the training was consistently clear while being easy going and confidence inspiring. I am happy to say I passed everything 1st time and I honestly believe it’s because of the way I was trained by Tim & Stuart. I genuinely couldn’t recommend these guys enough to anyone thinking about getting a bike licence, thanks again fellas I really do appreciate it….

Negative experience: I phoned trying to arrange a CBT course and was willing to pay the deposit but was told on the phone I have to pay the full amount upfront. Yet it says clearly on the website on the about FAQs booking only requires the deposit.

Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend Stuart and Tim enough - they are very experienced and knowledgable in everything to do with riding bikes. No nonsense, and teach you everything you need to know to pass and more! Great tips on how you are riding and guidance on how to improve. I had Stuart for my CBT in September 2021, and was pleased to also have Stuart for my DAS Mod1&2 for 3 days spread over the last few weeks - I passed first time on both parts and feel very confident to get riding on my own! Oh and they are also a great laugh! Cheers guys.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience doing my cbt and das course with these guys it was tough for me not having literally any riding experience last time I got on a motorcycle was around 36 years ago but these guys definitely made me feel confident with top class training obviously I had nerves like everyone would but I cracked it and would definitely recommend this training school for sure thank you guys

Fantastic experience: From the first phone call to Loraine in the office to completing my A license with Tim and Stuart on the road was a blast and they made it all so easy. I took my CBT in Feb 2022 with Tim and Stuart in letchworth they made the day enjoyable this put my nerves at ease. At the end of the day course they advice what steps to take next if you wanted to mover forward. For me as I had not rode a bike for over 10 years they explained a 4 day direct access would be best for me. I booked the Direct access with Lorraine she said due to high demand they may be delays in test dates but she would do her best to find cancellations to her credit she managed to find my Mod 1 + Mod 2 test dates around 5 weeks after my CBT. Day one 9am start get used to the bike I started in a 500cc then hit the road and I had Tim he made my day enjoyable and gave positive feedback and encouragement all day. Second day this time in a 650cc again Tim was my instructor and he put into practice what we did the day before and more. Day 3 Mod 1 with Tim and Stuart test day we spent time going through what to expect on the test then off to Cambridge to undertake the test and everything they had taught us was as they explained ( passed ) Day 4 Mod 2 Tim again putting everything we had done before hand before the Mod 2 test ( failed ) Tim was on hand as it was a unfair Fail he had a chat with DVSA staff and on the phone Tim had my back. Called Loraine she managed to find a cancellation 4 weeks after I failed with Stuart it was the first test of the day so had around 40min with Stuart before the test and completed ten test ( Passed ) They try to keep you with the same instructor from the start to finish this makes it more personal. The bikes are well maintained and are enjoyable to ride mine even had heated grips win win on the cold days. The Honda showroom where you start and finish the days have a small cafe with food and drink at very good costs. I would 100% recommend PRT to anyone that’s wanting to start the bike adventures. Loraine Tim Stuart are one of the best bunch I come across in years. Remember they have the passion for helping bikers not just to be a machine to make money they have the personal touch. Thank you guys hopefully I will see you on the road. Look out for the green machine passing by.

Fantastic experience: Had my CBT with Tim today, what an absolute legend this guy is, super chill, reassuring and motivating! Made me feel very relaxed and I enjoyed the day massively! Looking forward to coming back and doing my DAS with him!

Fantastic experience: Having never ridden a motorcycle before, I did my CBT with PRT back in July 2021. I was edgy at first but Stuart was patient and helped me work on clutch control, positioning and throttle response. After just 2 hours of practicing slow speed manoeuvres, I was confident and ready to go. My only regret is not being able to do my Mod 1 and Mod 2 training with Tim and Stuart, due to them being fully booked. Great training company and top notch service.

Couldn’t ask for any more from their team - from booking to the test day it was all great. I would definitely recommend PRT and the 4 day course to give you the best chance of passing your bike test. Fantastic experience: Hi all I don't do reviews as never know what to say but iv done a 3 day course with the guys at prt Tim and Stuart they are very welcoming and help you every step of the way I done my mod1 training with them and I must say very helpful even tho I did do a figure of 10 instead of an 8 lol (doh) and i passed that with flying colours and also did mod2 training and iv also passed my mod2 they really put me at ease with my bits that needed tuning up and all I did is listen and passed I would recommend them 150% and I think 5* ain't enough they really need 100* rating Lorraine was on the phone lovely and very helpful lady and I'm going to tell anyone if you want a great team go to these guys best around ( ps Tim thank you for the Latte from the café ) hope you all the best and have a lovely Xmas

Fantastic experience: Massively recommend Prt motorcycle training! Great company for all your biking needs! I had little confidence on a motorcycle and prt helped me grow that confidence and taught me to ride safely! The lessons where very helpful and the my instructor Tim was very helpful in calming nerves, good knowledge of riding, great teacher and surprising a part time comedian(good laugh to take the pressure off). I had Stuart for my CBT, I think I’ve seen him laugh once but defiantly knows how to teach you to ride safely and confidently. Last but not lease lorraine, answers the phones with great attitude and politeness every time and always looking to get you a test day where possible! Great company all round and will recommended to anyone who is new to riding or hasn’t rode for some time! 5* service!!

Fantastic experience: Excellent training. Excellent instructors. Made my whole experience so much better by the way the instructors welcome you into the biker family. Having not ridden a bike before i was nervous to start, but after having Stuart teach me the basics on my CBT I felt more than confident when it came to doing my full license a few months later. Stuart and Tim are always happy to have a chat with me if i manage to catch them in the usual spots doing the slow manoeuvre practice. Would definitely recommend them to anyone from a completely new rider like myself to a veteran that wants to get back to it and get more familiarised with it all again. Even now I always remember the advise that Stuart drummed into me from my CBT which shows evidence of a great instructor. Thanks guys and hopefully catch you about soon!

Fantastic experience: Where do you start .... First things first, would like to say a huge thank you to tim and stuart. They got me through my CBT and DAS in no time. Both Tim and stuart did my cbt and both have a brilliant teaching method, put your nerves at ease and really have a skill set to teach you correctly and efficiently. stuart trained me for my mod one and had me perfecting my manoeuvres in one day to lead on top a nearly perfect mod1 test at the end! Tim trained me for my mod 2 and at this point the nerves where kicking in he really helped put them at rest with his sense of humour and friendly teaching which lead on top a clean sheet mod 2 test at the end of days training!!!! Prt level of training and professionalism is outstanding there bikes are brilliant perfect for learning on! If I had to do my tests again or recommend anyone PRT is the place to go!! Cheers guys!

Fantastic experience: From the first call to PRT, speaking to Lorraine, and then meeting Tim and Stuart, I really must compliment you all. I was more than looked after from day one and even though you've had to deal with the rubbish lockdown etc, you still got me through it all. I haven't met Lorraine, but you are the loveliest person to speak to on the phone, thank you for your great communication throughout. Stuart I met twice and is a very nice guy. Tim... where do I start with you? You have a great sense of humour. I don't think there was a single time I was out with you were I didn't absolutely wet myself laughing!! You really made my learning fun and enjoyable and most of all memorable for all the right reasons. Thank you all so much!! Negative experience: Trained with PRT, unfortunately I didn’t have as good of an experience with them. My instructor was quite ‘old school’, his teaching style didn’t suit the way I wanted to learn and improve. For instance he would get quite irritated at certain mistakes, which did not help my confidence and of course I ended up making more mistakes as a result until eventually I dropped the bike. I was more disappointed than anyone, however when it happened the instructor was not concerned about my health or safety, he was more concerned about his bike and was further more irritated. Little did he know the bike fell on my leg, exhaust side and got a small burn, fortunately the other student with me was a more compassionate chap and made sure I was okay and gave me a pep talk and told me to ignore the instructors tantrums. I did not expect a fellow student to help build up my confidence more than the instructor with a name beginning with the letter T. I would definitely recommend newer, less confident riders to avoid this place and seek out another school. If you’re quite experienced and looking to get back into riding, it might be okay for you, but definitely better options out there.

Fantastic experience: Can honestly say I can't fault PRT! I booked last year for my CBT, but due to Covid got postponed. However as soon as lockdown was lifted Tim and Lorraine where in contact letting me know they could get me in, so cannot fault the level of communication at all either! I took my CBT today with Tim and Stuart and was really impressed by their attitude and approach! at no point did I feel rushed or pressured into getting it right straight away, their encouragement and ability to deliver clear instruction really made it easier to pickup. Both Tim and Stuart have clearly been in the industry for many years and that really shone through with the very well delivered and fun course. When you're not riding or under instruction you can have a laugh too. Cheers for a good day Tim & Stuart! Hopefully see you in a month or two for my DAS! Kev

Fantastic experience: A fantastic company that really 'get' motorcycle training and how to get the best out of a student. All of the motorcycles are immaculate and training is detailed and to the point. A must for anyone seeking motorcycle training in the Herts/Beds/Cambs area....

Fantastic experience: I found PRT Training through the Honda’s motorcycle training website. Lorraine made the booking process so easy and just did everything in regards to booking the test. I then had Stuart training and my first attempt at the Module 1 test, then Tim for my second go at the Module 1 and first (and only) go at the Module 2! Both Stuart and Tim were great instructors giving you all the information you need and showing you exactly what the examiners are looking for. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to pass my Module 1 on the first attempt, but Stuart was straight on the phone to Lorraine getting everything in motion for rebooking the tests and cancelling my Module 2 so I didn’t lose any money. Fantastic! A few weeks later I retook my Mod 1, passed. Then the next week (Yesterday) I took my Mod 2 and passed! Full licence complete! Can’t recommend PRT enough, the instructors, the bikes you learn on and the service was all 5/5. Looking forward to getting on some test riders to find my next bike!

Fantastic experience: Having done my CBT and M1 with another company based in Letchworth previously and then coming to PRT to get through my M2 it was stark just how much better the level of training was. Tim has an incredible way of fast-tracking improvement but in a friendly, trustworthy way. When he’s giving advice, you hang on every word. I had limited time to pass before my CBT ran out and all credit to PRT we did it. Can’t rate Tim highly enough and will always recommend them.

Firstly, the bikes you will ride are in excellent condition being cleaned and very well maintained. The riding tuition given by Tim is professional. He is very patient and teaches safe riding, which allowed me to pass mod 1 and 2 first time . Fantastic experience: Completed my CBT with this lot last month. Lorraine who answered my initial phone call was knowledgable and friendly. Booked me in no probs. Turned up on the day had a great instructor, patient and again full of knowledge. Only 2 of us in the session and we were both over 30 so was nice not to be Surrounded by teenagers and again , to not be taught like we were teenagers! Porta cabin set up for the theory side was a little rough and ready but really didnt effect the day. As with almost all motorcycle training the car park scenarios could always be improved if they were done on a miniature roadway, but TBH I dont know of ANY local companies who have that kind of facility any more. I would thoroughly recommend this company and I will be booking the next stages in order to gain my full licence, with PRT. Edit: I have now done the DAS and passed Mod1 and Mod2 first time. The teaching, bikes, general experience has been absolutely first class and I cannot recommend this company enough.

Fantastic experience: Done a full direct access course with these guys and everything from start to finish was very professional. Very high standards of training and very well looked after bikes. I would say they have a very high pass rate as both of us one the Mod1 passed with no minors and on the Mod2 both passed with 1 minor.

Fantastic experience: Just completed a 4 day course with PRT. Cannot fault any of them in anyway , total and utter loverly team who are highly skilled and proffesional. Lorrain booked it all in , nice and quickly for me to fit around work with no bother . Pete took my CBT , loverly chap who cracked on and got me out on the road . Next 3 days where with Tim. He is a top cracking chap , exreamily experianced and knows the entire game inside out . You will stuggle to find anything he doesnt know about riding bikes and more importantly , the Mod1 and Mod2 tests. Tim doesnt just train you to a safe and high standard , he will also take you through the tests in as much detail as he can and will give you all the tools you need to pass the test . He has all the time in the world for you and will go above and beyond to help you out . Clearly extreamily passionate about his job and it really shows . I completed by entire course over 2 weeks after having not been on a bike for 10years . I passed both Mods with Zero minors or faults , clean sheet ! All equipment is provided , loverly bikes which will be matched to your ability and clearly well maintained and looked after. Even the radios where faultless. Highly highly recommend and look forward to seeing the guys out and about .

Fantastic experience: Took the CBT somewhere else which was not a great experience. We had the 4 day course with Tim. Very professional, good bikes and best of all passed first time. Taking into account that I had never really taken a bike on the road before, Tim knew exactly how to get us through the test. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Did mod 1 & 2 with these guys in June / July 2018. Really good quality bikes, excellent instructors. Lorraine who sorts out admin and bookings is really helpful too. Pete and Tim have different styles, which they know, and they can adapt for different sorts of rider. Although I'm a confident rider now, im by no means a natural, and these guys can still get a good result for you. Would highly recommend PRT. Cheers!

Fantastic experience: To be the accredited training school operating out of a prestigious Honda main dealer is quite an accolade and it is obvious why PRT are there. A very professional training school offering first class service from the quality, well maintained cycles to the loan clothing, everything is done correctly. Very experienced and long standing tutors in both Tim & Pete with no shouting - just positive encouragement from your first sit on a motor bike to a full licence in a few days. I shopped around and found three training schools more local to me - ALL were more expensive. I even tried one where I passed my CBT but chose NOT to return due to the poor quality of their machinery. PRT are definitely the only one to use wherever you live - lots of students are from London !! I passed my CLASS A licence first time thanks to these guys and wish them and their business all the best for the future. Chris

Fantastic experience: I chose PRT Motorcycle Training as my provider for CBT and Direct Access Scheme. Instructors Tim and Pete were first class in ensuring good progress. They are confidence inspiring and communication outside of training days was superb also, with Lorraine keeping me to date on planning and options available, not to mention more encouragement too. If you are considering motorcycle training in the Herts, Cambs, or Beds regions I can't recommends these guys enough. I put my trust in them, you should too.

Fantastic experience: I recently took my DAS with Tim and Pete at PRT, and can honestly say these guys are the best at what they do- I have attempted to pass elsewhere in recent years, but have not come across such a professional yet relaxed atmosphere that these guys provide- they just have a way of communicating on such a personal level, it's like a rideout with old friends! Fantastic experience: If you need topping up from a CBT to an a2 or a2 to an a this is the place you want to go. I was debatably unlucky enough to be one of the people that had to do the a2 then the a due to age but with the courses that Prt provide I was gutted when I passed my a as I won't need another course with them. First class service from Loraine on the phone who knows exactly what service you need after a conversation. This is how you run a business, great customer service and a great service to offer with a smile on the way. Can't recommend them enough. It's also an eye opener when you go to the test centre and another bike companys candidates fail and all of Prt candidates pass, this happened on both my a2 and a. Fantastic experience: With hand on my heart I can truly recommend these guys! Me riding automatic 125 scooters for over 8 years finally decided to go for big boys licence. These guys offers me 3 day course for less then £500 and gave best they had to teach me how to operate gears. And they did it within few hours! They there to teach u how to ride a bike and not to rip u off! 1st day intensive training then 2nd day I did my Mod 1 and on 3rd day Mod 2 and I passed flying! And bikes are new and well maintained.
