Fantastic experience: Rob was excellent and passionate about is craft. My confidence was knocked and i was feeling disheartened. Rob took me back to basics and was patient. I cant recommend him enough. As a woman i sometimes felt this was a hard world. Rob showed me it is not. He method of training was excellent. I learnt more in 2 hours then I had for months. I was excited to take me CBT after his training and passed. This was down to Rob. I will be coming back to him for my DAS soon. Thank you so much!!

Fantastic experience: I have done my cbt and recently completed my full bike licence with rob. Can say it was a roller coaster of emotions from beating myself up cause I just couldn't do a u turn to being ecstatic when I finally passed my mod 1 & mod 2. Rob made the whole process very relaxing and fun. He was able to answer all my questions I threw at him. He will constantly talk to you about everything he's looking at whilst he is riding, which helps you to learn about how switched on you need to be. I can say Rob became a friend by the end and I now can't wait to get my bigger bike and see him out on the roads

Fantastic experience: Learned more from Rob in a two hour taster session than I had ever learned riding my 50 and 125 for two years in my teens. Rob then took me through the CBT, the Mod 1 and Mod 2 (both myself and my fellow student passing first time). Just amazing...I can still hardly believe it! Rob's training was absolutely top notch. His patience, support, knowledge and absolute passion for all things motorbikes is incredible and contagious. He'll take you through your paces, sometimes completely out of your comfort zone but you'll end up feeling like you're riding about with a friend you've known for years. He'll turn your weaknesses into your strengths and get you that licence. Just listen, have faith and do exactly what he says and then, before you know it, you'll be the next ex-student writing a review instead of reading one.

Fantastic experience: I completed my a2 license with Rob, will recommend to everyone I can, He has a huge passion for motorbikes and teaching which is contagious and we would constantly chat about our passion for motorbikes. He is very concise with his teaching and constantly pushed me to improve my skills. He purposely made the training more difficult than the actual tests so the tests were a breeze. I will definitely be going with Rob again in 2 years for my full license.

Fantastic experience: I've been training with Rob for a while and he brought me from never having ridden a bike, to having a full A licence! Rob was a great instructor who even took me to the Bike shop in Uckfield on a lunch break, I doubt any instructors do anything like that, especially on their lunch break. It is clear that Rob is passionate about motorcycles and he's fantastically patient.

Fantastic experience: I done my DAS course with RS Motorcycle Training. Rob who was my instructor was very helpful and patient. He had taken the time to explain the training activities and the exam tasks in great detail. His skill level as an instructor made me feel at ease during the course and I went into the exam feeling prepared and less worried. I would 100% recommend RS Motorcycle Training to anyone who is interested in doing their motorcycle test.

Fantastic experience: It took me a while to start writing this review.. Needed to get the A licence (DAS), looked on Google and found Rob! Started with the CBT and straight away a full week of an incredible riding training course. On the training course we were 2 students (me and Scott) and Rob and that was incredible as allowed Rob to draw a very detailed and tailored training for me and Scott. Not the easiest training for Rob due as both of us with some riding experience and a lot of bad habits to fix! We did get not just to train but stop for food and coffe, have a laugh and some deep conversations and ride the bikes all day for a whole week. After all this, I’m confident to say that Rob is an incredible Instructor and he will take you to get your Motorbike licence with full marks as he did with me and Scott. As for me, i did get my licence, a whole new set of riding skills and some great Riding Companions! Cannot wait now to do my Advanced training with Rob! Thank you

Fantastic experience: Just wanna updating what I’m feeling recently, after got the full license, have had 4month riding experience with my 950cc bike. All the techniques and knowledge what Rob they had taught me, it just still amazing and unbelievably useful! Still highly recommend all of the new riding have a go with them.

Fantastic experience: Well where to start! What an amazing experience with these guys so first of all I hadn't been on a bike for a good few years but had a fair amount of experience on my A2 so decided to take a day assignment with Rob to see what I needed to achieve my full A license, the afternoon spent just riding was amazing just because I was back on a bike and showing Rob what experience I had, at the end of that he advised that I would probably need 3 days to be safe on passing the test but from what I took away from that little time was more then enough to make me think that with robs experience and my determination I would take 2 days training and what an amazing two days it was Rob really goes into great detail witch is possible with 2 Instructors with you on both days I had outstanding training took everything that they both told me on board and smashed the test and funny enough felt more comfortable on test day with the tester then I did with Rob and definitely not a bad thing and I found it alot more relaxing like that! We had a good laugh doing it aswell!! Would highly recommend these amazing guys to anyone looking really is worthwhile!! Thank you again for the amazing time and experience! Now I'm happily enjoying my harley davidson

Fantastic experience: After almost 2 years riding on a CBT, I came to Rob [and Ian] for training for my full licence, and now I not only have my full licence, I also have more skill and much more confidence as a rider. Their teaching style was fantastic - great input/explanation during rides and feedback after. They had endless patience along with advice/tactics to help me overcome some of the difficulties I was having [in my head], I am a very satisfied customer... thanks guys

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommend Rob enough as an instructor, I originally planned to go with another training company and went through the review to see how many training days I needed before a test however they could only book a test in from about 3 months from then. Rob being the absolute legend he is got me a test in 2 weeks and training for 2 days ready for summer. Rob assessed my riding skills on the first day and we polished up what I needed to be test ready, mainly being my mirror and shoulder checks. With Rob’s high standard of training I passed first try. If it’s any consolation of how professional he is as a instructor I will be returning to him in 2 years time to do my DAS. All together he is a class guy and rider and would recommend him in a heartbeat as I had a blast training with him. Fantastic experience: The Boys done good !! As an older lady coming into biking later in life they had their work cut out helping me, with lots of patience ,calmness ,repeating and confidence building they got me there , I was their problem child for a while but more to do with me doubting myself, had I left it to late was I to old ?? but no I did it ..They are funny ,good banter and made it a pleasure to learn. I passed in November 2022 ,and 2 weeks ago got my new big bike Triumph street triple R ...and I love it , Thank you Rob and Ian, ....I Still hear them talking to me in my headset ,,,Tara, Eyes up, Revs Up ...Excellent xx

Fantastic experience: Rob and Ian’s training is second to none. Having never ridden a motorbike before, Rob and Ian taught me from the start through to my A2 licence. It goes without saying that they teach you how to pass the test but they also genuinely teach you how to be a safe, defensive rider on the road which is essential for future riding. Would highly recommend and hope to be back in a few years for my A unrestricted licence.

Fantastic experience: Rob and Ian.. absolute heroes! I transferred to RS Motorcycle to complete my MOD 2 training after being very dissatisfied with a school in Ditchling industrial estate. The professionalism and warmth of RS Motorcycle was next level! I felt like I had Rob and Ian by my side the whole time and they break down the little important information and really helped me learn how to ride better! They made me confident on my clutch control and retaught me how to ride more slowly and safely overall. Months ago I failed with 2 majors and 4 minors due to riding 'aggressively' which was how the previous school taught me but with Rob and Ian I passed with flying colours, no faults at all! So if you're reading this I would highly encourage you to train with RS Motorcycles. All the students I rode with this week also passed their tests!

Fantastic experience: From 2 ride and tries, 2 CBT's and on to my DAS I can't fault Rob and Ian for supporting me through it all. Fantastic experience: Absolutely first class training! Got me a first time pass. They teach you to be safe and confident on the road and their standards are higher than that of the test so you go in feeling confident. Negative experience: Cancelling new riders' CBT because they're not experienced enough, and without refund. Shame on you. You should be encouraging learners. Never heard of a training school to not welcome new riders taking a CBT for the first time, even if they are a bit wobbly.

Fantastic experience: 1 / 1 My nervousness in finding an honest instructor who had a lot of patience and outstanding training skills, and who would help me in building up my riding career, seemed to be out of sight. Luckily, a friend of mine introduced me to Rob, ‘who during our telephone conversation, patiently guided me through the whole process and helped me to gain my confidence back on track, something’ which at times, I doubted I would ever succeed in. My previous training via a different training school in London had embossed emptiness, doubts and fear in my mind. However, Rob and his team with a real passion for motorcycling, didn’t let me down, ‘instead they assured me my dream. On the day of training, Rob was very relaxed and friendly’ but at the same time, the explained manoeuvres were very clear and simple. His professionalism’ not only helped me to pass' but to be a ‘better, ‘skilled’ and a ‘safe rider. Today, I have accomplished my full ‘A’ grade DAS unrestricted licence, just in a matter of few days. Negative experience: Had a few training sessions with Rob and his team, and the quality of the training is impeccable. Rob is very calm & supportive with his students and has a world of experience and knowledge to pass over. I gave 1 star due to the lack of communication and reliability. I had 3 lessons cancelled on me by Rob and only found out when I contacted him, & getting hold of Rob for that matter was an extremely difficult task in itself, phone calls, texts and emails all frequently went unanswered. When I did manage to get hold of him, his availability for lessons and that of his team were far and few between at best & there was always an excuse as to why he had to cancel a lesson. So I ended up going else where and gaining my full licence in a fraction of the time. If I could give 0 start I would, I was left that disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I found RS motorcycle training on a random Google search, and after my 1st conversation with Rob on the phone, I knew I’d be in good hands. Rob, Stu and Ian all have a unique teaching ethos, and once you apply the formula they give you, it all comes together, you have a lightbulb moment, and you’re riding! Fantastic experience: If anyone is looking for motorcycle training at any stage, from cbt to das, then I highly recommend RS motorcycle training!! I took my cbt and das with instructors Rob, Ian and stu. All top blokes and not only are they interested in you passing your test, but they have a passion to teach you riding skills and how to ride safe! There is no competition in the quality of this training!! Despite how much experience i thought i had, i feel the bare minimum needed is a 3 day das course.

Rob and Ian not only trains you to ride bike and pass your test to get your license, they teach you how to be the best you on a motorbike and to enjoy it, but still to be safe on two wheels. Fantastic experience: Rob and Ian are on a different level when it comes to teaching. They provided lots of real-time feedback while riding and also at break intervals off the bike. They took time to listen and address areas that I thought I needed to work on. During the 4/5 hours of training all the pieces started to come together and my confidence grew with each step. Fantastic experience: Rob and his team were hands down the best instructors in the business in the UK in my opinion. They took the time to get to know me and taught me the lifelong skill of riding in a way that just made sense! I really looked forward to our lessons and feel like the ROI on the investment for value I received was well worth it. This is a stark comparison to many of the other schools out there I scoped out that had reviews of treating students like a number and only focusing on passing tests. Fantastic experience: Rob and his team are thorough in the way they teach to ride motorcycles. I have passed my CBT + Mod 1 and Mod 2 (1st time I might add) with RS Motorcycle Training. The instructors are able to tailor the training to you personally and I can't recommend RS Training enough as I feel like I have been taught well. All the best in the future guys!

Fantastic experience: This is the best training school to do your training with, whether you are undertaking your CBT or DAS. In the past I used other training schools to do my CBT and in comparison to what I was taught there, I quickly realised when training with RS Motorcycle training that the training and advice given by the other training schools was not great. Rob and Ian are excellent trainers, they are very professional, highly experience, knowledgable, helpful, encouraging, and friendly. Right from the beginning of your training they make you feel at ease, relaxed, and comfortable, so you can put one hundred percent focus on your training. Fantastic experience: I completed my DAS course with Rob and Ian last week and I can’t recommend them enough. The knowledge and experience they have is unrivalled and their patient and calm demeanours are confidence building and reassuring. They don’t teach you how to pass a test, they show you how to ride safely and properly. For me this resulted in successful Mod 1 and 2 passes with 0 minors. The RS team turned me in to a confident rider and gave me skills that I will have for the rest of my life. If you are thinking of doing your DAS and getting a bike licence then these are your guys. I travelled from London and stayed in Crawley for the week as I knew RS were the best around. Rob and Ian, thank you both so much for your patience. I wasn’t the most skilled student but you got me there in the end. I will definitely be back for some advanced rider training.

As many other students of Robs said, you get taught so much more than the fundamentals to pass the tests! I've passed my Mod 1 & passed my Mod 2 test today with RS and so glad I did. Rob has a fantastic way of teaching and showing you how much information there is around you whilst riding to allow you to be safe and prepared for anything, and making it so enjoyable in the process. The Sv650's are great! I'll actually be getting one as a daily commuter after riding them, while also going straight to my KTM dealership to try out the duke 890r I want, which RS have given me the confidence and skills to really enjoy! Fantastic experience: I had a great experience riding the bike with Rob and Lan. They helped me a lot and they were very friendly. The area we trained in was tough due to the roads and weather condition but they made it very easy to ride with easy instructions. Their prices are very reasonable compared to others. Fantastic experience: As a returning rider I needed to do my CBT. Rob and Ian were amazing. Professional, knowledgeable, experienced and friendly. The bikes were in excellent condition and their route and local area knowledge on the road was impeccable. I will be back for more training and can certainly recommend them to anyone looking for a riding instructor. Today was time and money well spent in the best of company.

Fantastic experience: Rob and RS Motorcycle Training set the bar on tuition very high. Their approach is to teach you to ride to their standards, not just a standard required to get you through a test. They work tirelessly to ensure you are going into your tests confident and prepared, and that you come out of the experience a better, safer rider. I would highly recommend RS Motorcycle Training, and feel I am going to be a much better rider due to the impressive level of detail taught by Rob and Ian.

Fantastic experience: I want to say a massive thank you to Rob & Ian for the greatest experience I have had. WHOOP WHOOP.... PASSED MY CBT (in manual) TODAY!!!! :) I have done my CBT 2 years ago somewhere else but really these guys are truly something else. Their reassurances, knowledge, experiences & ultimately their personal touch really went over and beyond my expectations. Should you want to learn I can not emulate in word enough how highly I recommend RS Motorcycle Training Centre, even if it means you have to travel!!!.

Fantastic experience: tl;dr - five stars, means five stars I came to RS having recently completed a geared conversion course after my CBT was on an automatic moped. Both courses were taken at two separate London motorcycle factories that had adequate reviews and could get me on a bike in no time. The fact the school I did my CBT at was closed down for malpractice and the centre I did my conversion course at didn't get me on the road didn't really cross my mind at the time, I'd passed both. That was until I turned up to my first day of my DAS training with Rob and Ian. RS was a completely different kettle of fish. With limited prior road experiences (less than an hour on my CBT) they took it slow, building my confidence on the Suzuki SFV 650 Gladius and getting me up to the national speed limit in no time. Their teaching was delivered in fashion that encouraged me to forget I was riding a 200kg bike and instead think independently about hazards, positioning, and most importantly of all, smoothness. I had originally booked on for a three-day course then my Mod 1 and Mod 2 over two days, however they and I felt I was not ready for my test. They explained I lacked confidence on the bike due to not enough time on the smaller bikes at the prior schools and I wasn't in a position for my test. It's worth noting a few things here, firstly the manner in which this happened saw them politely send away the other student I was with allowing us to have a private chat in confidence, something I greatly appreciated and recognised as a sign of their respect for me. Secondly, my confidence in their decision to push the test back. Rob and Ian are masterful coaches in every sense of the word. Throughout my time with them I felt as though I could make mistakes and learn without ever coming to harm. With an activity everyone who doesn't ride, and some who do, will tell you is dangerous, this comfort was hugely welcomed. I ended up doing another three days of training with the two of them and passing my Mod 1 and 2 on the first go, something I wouldn't have been able to without their expertise or guidance. As a final note to those who have been swayed by this and other reviews to give the school a ring - don't skimp on price. Yes this school is cheaper than those in London but don't try to do a DAS in less time than Rob and Ian think you need. Ask them for their judgement on how long it will take you to get your license rather than your own estimates. They've seen and heard it all before and I have full confidence in their ability to make anyone a safer rider with more time. More importantly, you'll feel more confident the longer you're with them. Rob and Ian, as I hope is clear from above, you two are absolute masters and some of the best coaches I've ever had in my life. Thank you for everything and I'll be back for some advanced riding once the bike has been bought!

Fantastic experience: Where do I start its easy to see that Rs Motorcycle are the real deal... Don't believe me? Read the other reviews. Before I started my training with Rob, Ian and Stuart I had never ridden anything before. I have been driving for a number of years but have always been on the nervous side and wanted to try a motorcycle. After talking with Rob for a few minutes on the phone my Ride & Try was booked and it all started from there. Needless to say I went on to do my CBT and found it not only really fun but really helped in all aspects of driving with a strong emphasis on satiety that made me feel at ease on the road. After competing my CBT I went on to do my A2 license and loved every minute of it until lockdown got in the way, having said that the second they could open again I was back out there getting the training. I really struggle with all types of tests and I was really nervous the night before both my Mod 1 & 2 tests. Let me tell you this the training is designed in such a way your body knows what to do almost as if they upload the skills required like in the Matrix as soon as I got on the bike to to the tests it was like I'd been riding my whole life they teach you to ride in real life not just how to pass the test after a day or so it becomes so natural. I completed both Mod 1 & 2 with flying colours not one minor on mod 2. I can't emphasise the fact I went from being a a complete novice around bikes to an A2 license in such a short space of time enough. If they can train me they can train anyone. Don't waste your time going to another training school go to these guys. I wanna say a massive thank you to RS Motorcycle Training can honestly say I'm a better car driver and loved every second of the training. See you on the roads

Fantastic experience: my experience here was short but absolutely outstanding. having failed my mod2 2 weeks prior and without much riding experience; Rob and Ian made me feel sooo confident from the off. they're technical skills of making you understand how a motorcycle works is mind blowing and they're extremely patient in teaching you why and how this happens so that you figure out how to ride the bike yourself. I passed my mod2 after 1 day training and I couldn't be more thankful to these chaps! can't wait to get further training :)

Fantastic experience: Rob and his team where fantastic instructors! I did the 3 day DAS course, and CBT, and loved every moment of it. Thorough and precise instruction throughout, Rob builds your confidence at a good pace, and instils safety and forward thinking throughout. As a new dad with an unhappy partner (I'm sure I'm not alone on that one lol) I honestly feel I could not have been in better hands for my motorbike training. Rob focuses on how to ride the bike properly with real emphasis on control and forward planning, whilst retaining the critical safety element, and is brutally honest where he needs to be which hits home hard and ensures you stay safe at all times, constantly thinking of all possible outcomes. As a result of this, rather than just being taught how to 'pass the test', I did not feel like a fish out of water following my pass and hopping on my new 800cc KTM. I passed my MOD 1 & 2 first time, and quickly put over 1000 miles on my new bike within 2 weeks of passing! Thanks a bunch Rob, I will be back for advanced training when time and weather allows :)!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely outstanding quality of training by Rob and Ian. I had experienced training gaps from a previous firm and in a few hours they took me from struggling around to passing my mod 2. Really passionate and have a great way of explaining and fixing training issues.

After 30 years away from 2 wheels, Rob, Ian and Stuart have started to take me on a journey back into biking . They are 3 experienced calm and professional individuals. Fantastic experience: Insanely good training, passed both MOD1 and MOD2 for A2 with 1 minor each after only one training day for each. They train you harder than you will be tested so if you listen and work hard its almost a guaranteed pass. They really do care about you being safe, all of their instructors teach you how to not die on the road, this isn’t just a factory for getting a license like most other schools. I would 100% recommend. I will be back ASAP to get the A license sorted!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing, all the instructors there are so helpful and want the best for you. They’re not just instructors though, they’re your friends. They don’t just teach you how to pass the test, they teach you how to ride properly and safely. They work to get you sorted out with your license as soon as you can get it. I seriously recommend anyone to use their services, they’ll train you to beat the test standards, not just pass them. I’ve just finished my A2 with them and it’s been such an amazing time going with them and getting all the pointers I needed. I only got 1 minor on the Mod 1 for not going fast enough and got 0 minors on the Mod 2. So helpful and friendly 10/10 quality service.

The quality of training was amazing rob really does push you to your limits, and as a result I don’t just hold a license I’m now a far better rider than I once was (joys of riding 125s for years). Had so much fun with you guys looking forward to some group rides next year!

Fantastic experience: RS MOTORCYCLE TRAINING......WOW BEST AROUND Rob and his team were superb, from start to finish nothing was a problem, they took me through both my MOD 1 & 2 (Passed today). Rob & Iain were constantly in my ear working with me to improve my ride, they build your confidence on the bike very quickly. There is clearly no better school around and I recommend that anyone wanting to learn contacts Rob right away. Not only was is fun to be out on the road with these guys but hilarious at the same time with some of the funny stories they share over a cup of tea - just make sure you start with a slim waist line as Rob does like a sausage and mushroom roll at lunch.... Not only have did I find a good riding school but in time a good bunch of mates as well....Look forward to 1st ride out with the RS team. James

So many companies are ready to chuck you on a bike, ride you round the block & be done with it! . At @rsmotorcycletraining They love to Ride! Now we all know I have "Dopey" moments but these guys worked round that with so many calm & thoughtful ways of teaching, I just cant thankyou enough for taking that little extra time with me!
