Fantastic experience: I would just like to thank everyone at Twickenham Motorcycle Training, at 60 I did my MOD2 last week and past 1st time, completed all my training with them and past all sections 1st time, Jim you was a great help and made everything so easy to understand, and I must not forget Brian on the phone brilliant as well. If anyone needs training use these guys Brilliant.

Fantastic experience: After my first CBT with an alternative local motocycle training company went terribly. I was incredibly worried about having a similar experience when I booked with Twickenham. However, I had a fantastic experience. Tony was patient, funny and incredibly knowledgeable. He explained concepts concisely and clearly. As a person who can feel quite nervous he helped create a relaxed atmosphere where we could all learn at our own rates and no one felt rushed or uncomfortable. I will look forward to training for my full motocycle with Twickenham MT in the future.

Negative experience: The instructors was very impatient and kept shouting at us instead of explaining us, waste of money. Very rude and first time in my life where I paid 170 pounds to have someone shout at us over the tiniest issue.

Fantastic experience: A great experience throughout, completed my DAS course for the A licence and passed with flying colours first time, the instructors were excellent, very informative and down to earth making you feel at ease throughout the course from cbt to mod 1 and mod 2. A big thanks to all the instructors from from this old grandad as Jim called me! Would recommend this school to young and old.

Fantastic experience: I just finished my CBT at Twickenham Motorcycle Training, and it was a fantastic experience! The team there is amazing. The instructors are super knowledgeable and really patient, making sure everyone feels comfortable and confident on the bike. They explained everything clearly and gave great tips to help improve my riding skills. The focus on safety and good technique was top-notch, and I really appreciated how they made sure we were all ready for the road. The training area is well set up, and the whole day was organized really well. We had plenty of time to practice each part of the course, which was great for building confidence. Overall, Twickenham Motorcycle Training is the place to go if you're looking to do your CBT. The staff is friendly and supportive, and they really know their stuff. I had a blast and feel totally ready to ride now. Highly recommend!!!!!!!!!

Passed my Module 1 and Module 2 with instructorJames, he made everything very clear, step by step teaching me what to prepare for and expect on each test. Fantastic experience: Just got my CBT yesterday! I would like to thank TMT for the great experience! Jim was very patient and knowledgeable, explains each step of riding a motorcycle as well as mechanics. They have modern and well maintained bikes to train on and have an added benefit that they have enough space to set up a full mock mod 1 test to practise on. Negative experience: Was extremely disappointed with the lack of coaching skills from the ‘instructor’. The entire day he displayed frustration and anger towards me when I didn’t get something right away. I’ve never ridden a motorcycle before - I was excited to get a 125 and start riding but have been put off completely. I was treated differently to the men I was completing the exercises with, felt like I was set up for failure. Completely unprofessional and no people skills. On the other hand the instructor doing the direct access training with his group was very professional

Fantastic experience: I did Mod1 training with Twickenham Motorcycle Training and have only the words of praise for them. Jim, the trainer on the day, is knowledgeable and passionate about the motorcycles, and very good and empathetic trainer. Twickenham Motorcycle Training provided excellent training, (I passed my Module 1 on 12 February) at a reasonable cost, at handy, local ground, so I would highly recommend them to any aspiring motorcycle rider.

Negative experience: Such a stupid instructor, fake training, fake teacher, fake location, I will give -0 out of 10, please dont book CBT test in this center.

Fantastic experience: Did my cbt on 7th October the last time I rode a lambretta was 1971 not been on one since now I suffer from a lung problem called COPD and have trouble breathing but on the day they were fantastic and patient with me and very helpful and got me through my cbt would highly recommend them to anyone who thinks it's impossible. Fantastic experience: On 24/11/2023 I passed my final test to achieve my A2 license and I couldn't have done it without TMT! My A2 licence has been one heck of a journey and TMT made every step of my journey Amazing, from a taster session to training days and test days TMT couldn't have prepared me more throughout the process and believe me I was nervous especially when it came to the test days but all the training they provided paid off and more, not only was I able to hone my skills at TMT but I'm a better driver because of it! My instructor was Jim and he a brilliant mentor, he will teach you new skills and improve your current ones, he helped me throughout and answered all my questions, making the whole experience 10/10. Now I move on from my 125cc to a much bigger bike and it's thanks to the amazing training provided by TMT! Thanks to everyone there, especially Jim!

Fantastic experience: I renewed my CBT for my 125cc moped on the 30th Oct 23. Dave was my groups teacher for the day. Really friendly, funny and down to earth guy. He was super patient and helpful, especially when I got nervous! I was talked through all the manoeuvres, safety stuff and tips to make the process easier. Twickenham Motorcycle training are superb. I look forward to booking a taster on a manual!

Fantastic experience: I done my cbt with Jim yesterday and I was really impressed with the time he spent with me and everyone else. I was really nervous and getting frustrated when I couldn't do something but he spent the time showing me till i got it and by the time I got out on the road it all just clicked and my nerves went. Fantastic experience: Did my CBT (again - last one had lapsed) with TMT: In the sweltering heat...but apart from sweatiness, all went swimmingly! From the initial stages of contacting Brian (Note: By telephone - Don't bother with email, best way to catch the office is on the phone!). Good chat, definitely a sense-of-humour (I guess motorcycle instructors do need one!!), and my booking was all sorted. The TMT Training centre was easy to find (Simply follow the instructions sent out a few days before the training day): Round the back of Kempton Race Course, head east down the lane just the beside the south entrance to Kempton Train Station. Not really that difficult (despite what previous reviews may have you believe). Our instructor for the day, Jim B., met the three of us taking CBT and once we were ready to crack on, the bikes checked, and introductions made, we sat into the office and started the lessons. Good informative stuff: Delivered clearly, well thought-out, and with a SOH so none of the topics were dry and boring. Lots learnt! And great advice given, alongside the regulatory stuff. Classroom session over, we moved out onto the bikes and a few hours on the pan. Slow-riding exercises, familiarisation, and generally getting comfortable with the bikes (in our case, two geared and one auto - The geared bikes were Honda CB125 and Yamaha YS125 - both well-serviced and in great condition). Good informative and beneficial instruction: Not too much information to get your head around. Well-pitched for our beginner levels. Tweaking and adjusting our techniques, giving pointers, and covering all the bases, Jim managed to get us ready for our road-drive. A break for lunch, a heads-up and instruction on the rules-of-the-road/tips, and we were fully briefed and ready to go. Out for an hour and half or so on the busy roads around West London - lots of different traffic scenarios and situations - we covered off all the learning points and then back to base. CBT in the bag! Patience, Sense of Humour, Obviously Experienced, Knowledgeable, and, most importantly, a great teacher, Jim was excellent! Can't recommend more highly tbh. I'll be back to TMT for further training and hopefully DAS in good time. Having had hit-and-miss experiences with other motorcycle training instructors at another London schools (One great and one utterly substandard), Jim has set the benchmark: Brian obviously runs a good operation. Not the cheapest training around: but neither are TMT the most expensive. But SEVEN hours of excellent tuition and riding...can't be beat and bloody good value for money. I'll be back! Thanks.

Fantastic experience: This is a terrific school. The team here is made of up highly knowledgeable and thoroughly decent, humorous and engaging people. I did all of my training here - from CBT, gears conversion and big bike, to DAS/mod 1 and 2 - most of it under the tutelage of Jim. Passed all first time round. Group sizes are ideal to ensure you receive the necessary attention. One of the best things you are taught here at the school is that although necessary, learning goes beyond the technical / mechanical aspects of riding. It is also psychological: from building your own confidence to understanding what the examiners are looking for. This is invaluable, not only for the tests but beyond them, and in a sense are really a gift to the newcomer. A couple of additional remarks that may (hopefully) be helpful to new riders: i) Theory: personally I think it is worth passing your theory test before you take the CBT; it is helpful to have it out the way and ensures you have base knowledge on which to build when you actually ride. It aids continuity to riding. Ii) Confidence: With respect to DAS specifically, I would also add that I have observed in each group I have been in, there are riders who are either technically more proficient / confident / have more riding experience than myself. There is of course the luck of day element too, but I would just say you don’t need to be the best in the class to pass your DAS. You need to put the personal effort in to learning, be an all rounder and have good instructors who positively encourage you. You will find that here. You also learn that MOD 2 is not the end of your training but in some respects the start of it. So a profound and sincere thank you to Jim et al from me!

Fantastic experience: Had my CBT done not so long ago here and I wanted to thank Jim for being so patient with me since I’ve never ridden a bike before but in the I managed to pass thanks to his patience and perseverance so yes thank you Jim and I’ll definitely come back to get my full license

Positive experience: I did my CBT through TMT and found the instructor and location to be excellent! I was told they also have the Mod 1 at the same car park location where they do the training and is right beside an overground rail station too. I'm giving this place 3 stars, purely because of the apathetic attitude from person you have to make contact with when booking. If you can see past him, then this is a great place to do training.

Fantastic experience: Wanted to say a big thank you to Jim who got me through my Mod1 & Mod2 tests. I’ve been wanting to get my full licence for years and decided to the plunge this year with no regrets! Was a great experience from start to finish and were very accommodating. Despite being a bag of nerves at the start and on the test days, Jim was extremely positive, patient and encouraging - all of which definitely put me at ease. Cannot recommend Twickenham Motorcycle Training enough and would encourage you to book on if you are thinking about it. Their level of service and teaching exceeded other driving schools, especially when compared to my CBT with a different driving school!

Fantastic experience: Attended a Sunday class for a CBT. I've been driving for 18 years and left the day having actually learned quite a bit. As a complete novice on two wheels, I was corrected, encouraged and clearly instructed. If you're attending in the winter, be sure to layer up! The bikes were all in great condition, rode really well. Amazingly the Sunday roads were pretty quiet! Highly recommend the team here for an honest and safe place to learn. Planning on racking up some road miles then returning to do a full license, in warmer weather!

Fantastic experience: Very knowledgeable, competent and personable CBT day with instructor Tony. Gave me confidence to try out on a geared bike when I’ve been riding automatic for the last few years, thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and the experience, and actually forgot I was there to take the CBT, which I completed Highly recommended and will be back in warmer, less wet weather to complete my full licence (on a geared bike).

Fantastic experience: Taken my A1,A2 and A tests with Jim each time. A seriously great experience. Jim provided a lot of great insights and care to make sure you’re as ready as possible for the tests, and throws on the right amount of jokes and stories to keep your nerves calm, taking what could be a nail biting experience and making it enjoyable.

Negative experience: Awful customer service, rude and intimidating instructors. I got called a liar when I said I was told on the phone I would be “in and out quickly” by the owner. This is when I questioned what time the course would finish as I had other commitments. There was no apology from the company owner and all he said is that I owe them £50 more for leaving. I had family commitments from 1pm which was 5 hours into the course I was told would be quick. He did not try to amend the situation and said I would have to pay a further £150 to re book. Disgraceful!!!

Fantastic experience: Jim make miracle ... I never ride menual bike in my life but the way he trained me I pass my mod 1 in first attempt..

Fantastic experience: I did my A cat mod1 and mod2 at twickenham MCT and had a good experience. Pros: Instructors, quality of bikes, mod1 training facilities, easily accessible by train or road Cons: significantly more expensive than other locations (300gbp/day), split course structure (2 daysx2) Jim was an excellent instructor for both mod1 and mod2 days. I performed mod one on a good condition Suzuki Gladius, and mod2 on an MT07. Mod2 took place about two months later than mod1 due to course availability, and the centre organises tests this way rather than doing week long DAS courses like other centres. Expect a gap between For mod1, the site has a large amount for of space and sets out all the exercises to scale. It is not an exact replication of the layout at the test centre at Uxbridge as there is no wide bend to pick up speed before the E stop or swerve. Instead there is a short bend which serves a similar purpose. In general I believe that the centre is excellently set up for mod1 as you can continuously practice for the duration of your training. For mod2 I think there was less of a benefit with going with TMT. The training day was more or less continuous driving around the test centre area (in my case tolworth) with tips and discussion at coffee breaks. I started the course as a comfortable rider so there was minimal advanced skills tuition above what might be required to pass the test. This could be a good for a bad thing depending on your view. The days were enjoyable, but not necessarily always insightful. I passed with one minor fault. I’ll finish on a final comment that the quality of the bikes and attitude of the instructors were excellent at TMT. The bikes themselves were in great condition and rode excellently with no signs of poor treatment. Jim was a pleasure to speak to throughout and consistently maintained a cheery, encouraging approach to teaching which made my course relax and enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: I went from dropping the bike on myself on my Mod 1 training day to passing my Mod 1 and Mod 2 first time round A really enjoyable experience and looked forward to each and every day! They use Mt-07s in beautiful condition, think the oldest was an 18 plate. Enjoyed riding them so much I went and bought one. Makes a huge difference compared to seeing other schools with bikes almost 20 years old cutting out (not stall) on Mod 1 and the trainee failing! The "tall guy with a white beard" was lovely

Fantastic experience: Took my CBT test with these guys after over 20 years off a motorcycle. They were brilliant! The instructors were knowledgeable, professional and very patient. After taking this class I feel safe and competent as a motorcyclist riding the roads. Well worth the price I paid.

Fantastic experience: I and another chap passed our Mod 2 first time this week with Jim. I previously did my CBT and Mod 1 here. The guys are great, really helpful and supportive. I even got a text the night before the test to remind me to bring my documents. The space at Kempton is great as they can mock up actual size test conditions which really helps. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Jim has taken me from CBT to Mod 1 and now Mod 2, all passed on the first attempt. Excellent bikes, great being able to practice Mod 1 on a (nearly) full scale course and expert friendly tuition throughout. Jim's jokes are awful but he's a great teacher.

Negative experience: Few minutes ago I called to book CTB training and asked how they carry out the course these days in the pandemic. I was told to wrap up on the sofa and not to come, and stay at home if I am so scared; and that I was the first person ever asking this question. Brian, you have to learn to be polite with people. Maybe it was my accent you did not like, I do not know. But you do not intimidate people who would come and bring you money. And yes- lots of people I know have died or had long Covid in this pandemic. And yes- I am scared, but if I am assured that you are taking some precautions, I still can make my decision to come or not to come to the course (by the way- 2 of us). I did not ask for Brian's suggestions I asked how the course is carried out. I did not deserve intimidation just for asking. I will make one suggestion too- if you are in a bad mood, do not pick up the phone, Brian.

Fantastic experience: Completed my CBT with instructor Tony, who is a really good teacher. He gave clear instructions, the training was a lot of fun and relaxed. He quickly understood the level of each of the learners, adjusting his teaching to suit each individual's needs. Both Tony and Jim are great guys with a lot of knowledge - I'm looking forward to getting back to TMT for my DAS training! Update: I have since passed my mod 1 & 2, with training from Jim. Great instructor, and made the whole process chilled and enjoyable. I would highly recommend TMT if you're looking to get into riding motorcycles.

Negative experience: So recently we returned for our 2 yearly cbt renewal.Got to be honest nice helpful people,however we were the first to arrive at 8am and last to leave at 4.15pm.Frustrating to see people doing exactly the same cbt arrive an hour and a half later and go home 2 hours before.Could of been organised more fairly we thought...so next time somewhere else I expect...Especially as toilette fercilities were very unclean.No where to eat no WiFi...so you have to walk to the nearest shop..Just being honest.

Fantastic experience: Had my cbt done today with instructor JIM & TONY they both were wonderful, joyful and funny. We were total of 8 boys to do cbt. And we all had a great time learning and riding bikes with them. I definately recommend every1 to pls go and do your cbt here its worth. I will definately be going to go to renew my cbt after 2 years from now. Thanks JIM & TONY.

Fantastic experience: Having never been on a bike before the instructors were amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Give really good constructive feedback to better your skills and boost confidence. Very knowledgeable and understanding to everyone's learning style and abilities. Definitely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I passed my CBT today and I just wanted to say thank you to Tony! An awesome instructor, a great sense of humour and really encouraging – this sort of instruction is incredibly reassuring for someone who has never been on a motorbike before! I was flabbergasted to hear that someone’s parent(s) had sent in a rude email about this instructor, particularly as the individual had chosen to get off the bike and leave of their own accord… Tony was patient, explained the different exercises and techniques clearly and it was obvious that he cared about developing his students as safe and competent riders. I plan on eventually doing my full licence, and I would be incredibly lucky to get taught by Tony again!
