Fantastic experience: I recently did my CBT in September - Mitch was brilliant, helpful, funny and calming. I came back in December for my direct access course. My training days were taken by Mitch again and he was excellent. Pete guided me through practice on the day of my test and I passed with no minors. GET IN! I came back two weeks later for my Mod 2 and yet again got Mitch, which at this point felt more like riding with a friend than my instructor, just what you need to get rid of those test days nerves! Needless to say I passed with flying colours. It might be expensive to get your motorbike licence, but you've got to spend the money in the right place and I have to say I've been very happy with the quality of the instruction given and the result is exactly what I wanted. Great job guys

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT and direct access with the team in Chippenham. CBT with Carl and Mitch. Then on the Z650 - Mod 1/2 training day with Mitch, Mod 1 with Leigh and Mod 2 with Sammy. They were all excellent, very professional and safety oriented instructors, giving clear and sound advice, sharing their knowledge and generally just being really nice people! Additional thanks to Mitch, he really helped to grow my confidence on the bike, giving encouragement and making me feel relaxed and safe the entire time. Thanks to all, it was a really enjoyable experience!

Fantastic experience: Me an my son started with phienx from are cbt's to then go on an pass mod 1, an mod 2 after a second attempt, all the instructors we're so nice an very good with clear instructions when working in the carpark or out on the road. So if your thinking of taking up riding I'd most definitely say go with Phienx you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I did a CBT refresher and then a 4 day course to get my A license over Oct-Nov '24. I couldn't have asked for more from Phoenix Chippenham; they were responsive over email when organising and sorting dates out, their bikes (2023 Z650's) were great to learn on, their facilities were good and their instructors really knowledgeable and accommodating. I had 3 different instructors over my 5 days and they were all really positive and friendly, and having used 2 other companies previously for CBT refreshers I found Phoenix the most professional.

Fantastic experience: Just completed my CBT for a second time as my first one lapsed before booking my Full course. The team were great at noticing the good and the bad habits. Especially Carl, Very experienced rider with boundless knowledge from the entire team. I was even given the opportunity to take a 650cc out on the ride out as my skills were deemed and more than acceptable. Which I highly appreciated and has given my the confidence to book the full course sooner rather than later.

Fantastic experience: Had my CBT recently at the Chippenham location after doing a try-ride at the Bristol location, I cannot recommend these guys more - if you're lucky enough to get an instructor called Sam (great name by the way) she is absolutely fantastic, remained calm and supportive throughout the process, knew exactly what to do and how to teach different procedures and manoeuvres/road insight effectively she was patient throughout, thanks for getting me through my CBT and onto the road!

Fantastic experience: Instruction provided by Phoenix Motorcycle Training Chippenham is first class. The instructors are knowledgeable, thorough and very patient, which helped me to achieve my licence. Phoenix Chippenham has a variety of automatic and manual bikes, and all in roadworthy condition. Local training is at the Chippenham Rugby Club and is very proficient, which results in a high pass rate for riders. A big shout out must go to the very capable instructors Mitch, Pete and Jason who guided me from a novice CBT rider to an A licence holder. Their dedication, enthusiasm and understanding were all important for me to pass my test. Of course, it’s not just about the instructors and credit must go to the attentive management team of Lee and Lisa who provide trainees with convenient and detailed course instruction, bookings, and feedback. Overall and from an individual standpoint, I highly recommend Phoenix Motorcycle Training Chippenham as an excellent company to attain your CBT or A licence.

Fantastic experience: In my past experiences with CBT, they're more interested in churning out customers for business & not the safety of their riders. At this school, the training is not only thorough but it's kind and fair. They want to re-enforce good habits into their riders for their safety and others on the road. They put in a lot of effort to help their students from beginners to more experienced riders maintain road discipline, which is perfect because it is then learnt for life. A really lovely team, enjoyed my time with Sam and Jason and came away feeling more confident in my ability to ride. The customer service with Lisa was very professional with booking. Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant place, learnt a 125 manual and passed my CBT. They are all super patient, really good at teaching you even if you struggle with instructions (like me), they don’t expect you to know everything and just don’t really friendly atmosphere overall. Definitely would recommend!

Fantastic experience: Very professional and helpful CBT guidance. The overall training, instructions, advice and practical riding session was conducted with great care and attention. Sam was very experienced and small tips made a big difference to improving my riding ability.

Fantastic experience: Very thorough CBT training day with Mitchell. Everything was explained very clearly including what would happen throughout the day. No rushing and plenty of opportunities to ask questions and go over anything or practice manoeuvres again, before moving on. Lots of encouragement and confidence building techniques which was great when feeling a bit nervous having not ridden for a long time. Great communication in the training area and out on the road with comms. The only suggestions I would make is to put some clearer directions to the site on the website and improve the rest facilities. A coffee/tea/water station would be a great addition. I would highly recommend Phoenix for your CBT training.

Fantastic experience: I went to Phoenix after failing my mod 2 test with a different training school. So being so close to passing and getting my full license I obviously wanted to make sure I passed the second time around. Yesterday that happened thanks to amazing instruction from Adam! His teaching and positive psychology, along with his patience, gave me the confidence to just go for it and ride the bike the way I knew I could during the test. Perfect result!

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT, Mod 1 & Mod 2 in the space of 2 weeks, my instructors during this time were Sam, Mitch & Jason. I honestly can’t fault them one little bit, constantly going above and beyond to ensure you have the knowledge and relevant skills required to pass & be safe on the roads. To put into perspective i passed both Mod 1 & 2 first time! Anyone I get chatting with that shows an interest into learning to ride, there’s only one place I will be sending them, Phoenix!

Fantastic experience: Myself and my best mate took our CBT course with the Chippenham branch. Sammy & Mitch were absolutely amazing! Great sense of humour, extremely patient, and so knowledgeable. We never at any point felt under pressure and from the minute we arrived were made to feel very welcome which was a great help with the nerves. Despite us both having no previous experience on bikes, we both walked away from the day with the biggest grins and our CBT certificates. If it wasn't for the amazing training from Sammy & Mitch, this wouldn't have been possible. I would highly recommend Phoenix for anyone looking to start their journey on a bike and I will certainly be returning in the future for my full A licence.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I did our CBTs in August via Leigh and Mitchell, both were brilliant. Myself being new to biking and handling a motorbike lacked confidence, they were both patient and helped me build confidence. We have both progressed to completing a DAS Course and have now passed Mod 1 & 2. The instructors Jason and Pete were excellent with their advice and guidance. I couldn’t recommend Phoenix Chippenham enough and if I had to do it all again I would go to them. Will look at advanced motorcycle training with them in the future for sure.

Fantastic experience: Done my CBT in August 2022 In Chippenham the instructor I believe was called Mitch a fantastic instructor that taught me the basics Oct this year I booked my Mod 1 & Mod 2 with them, turned up for my first days training greeted by Adam I was a few minutes late & he was understanding & polite, really helped to settle nerves. Mod 1 test day I turned up we done a practice run in the rugby club then went to Bristol walked away with a pass! Mod 2 I had the instructor Jason very polite extremely professional & fantastic advice we drove round Bristol for a few hours & then done the tests walked away with a pass! Overall I have really enjoyed my experience with Phoenix highly recommend & fantastic from start to finish.

Fantastic experience: Great CBT course led by the excellent Mitchell. I was a complete novice to biking at 26 but wanted to learn something new. Mitchell was patient with me and offered help when needed. I will hopefully be booking my Mod 1 + 2 with the team in the not too distant future.

Fantastic experience: I have done my both my CBT and full motorcycle licence using DAS and I was very pleased with all the training and advice I’ve got from everyone at Phoenix! Booking a spot was very easy as Lisa is very prompt in replying to emails and payment was straight forward as well. I was quite clumsy at the beginning (maybe it’s an understatement), but all the trainers have encouraged me and have been very patient throughout the training. Lots of love to the team!

Fantastic experience: Amazing day, two really good instructors Dan & Mitchell. First half of the day was getting the bearings of the bike then second half being out on the road. Both instructors were really reassuring and gave in depth feedback during and after riding.

Fantastic experience: Like many others, I wanted to do a full license course over summer, when waiting times in Bristol were 2+ months. Leight and Lisa were fantastic and booked me twice on a cancellation, for both MOD 1 and MOD 2, and I got my license a month earlier than expected. I was offered to take MOD 2 even earlier, but I could not due to other commitments. If you live in Bristol and want to get a license fast, give these guys a call!

Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend these guys highly enough. Have been using Phoenix for the last 7-8 years doing CBTs and more recently they helped get me through my main license. They run a relaxed but focused setup – giving you the space to adapt and progress without someone in your ear every 30 seconds, but if they spot an emergent riding tic they will step in to explain and correct it. There are a few instructors but all are cut from this same cloth. Even just during the course of my theory/MOD1/MOD2 they made my MOD 2 massively easier and prevent another rider (wrong gear) wasting his MOD 1 appointment. I felt ready and prepared every step of the way. Pricing seems to be in line with the other options I saw. A license bikes are well maintained Z650s, A2 are a BMW G310R. Pleasure to deal with all round.

Fantastic experience: would definitely recommend! they were absolutely brilliant with me, before I came to them I had never ridden a moped/motorcycle in my life and by the end of it I could drive on the road and I passed!

Fantastic experience: Thanks to Leigh's advice and encouragement I took the CBT course yesterday. Mitchell provided excellent instruction and I was so proud to have passed, recognising I had not been on a motorbike since the early 70s. I'm considering getting a 125cc to gain much needed confidence and experience on the road before thinking of a full licence.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly and chill day, they did alot to bring down my nervousness about being on the road during the afternoon part of the CBT, and while on the road the instructor was friendly and giving advice the entire time. We were not pushed to hard and allowed to go at our own pace, covering alot of the basics, and given more time to understand clutch control. Overall it was a fun day, well taught, and I left feeling way more confident on a bike. Having done a CBT somewhere else previously these guys are a lot more open and friendly, not just giving instruction but giving advice on bikes, what to buy, what you want to be looking for, and even showing the difference between a 125 and higher CC bikes. limiting group sizes to two mean you get alot more 1 on 1 instruction if you need it.

During my training I was hit by the examiners strikes and the team communicated with me to avoid wasting time attending tests that had been cancelled and quickly booked me back into new test slots.
