Fantastic experience: I came to this place very nervous to do my cbt training Derek the instructor was brilliant and made all the group feel welcome and the information was presented very well and in easy to understand diagrams this place is very friendly and would recommend to anyone that is thinking of riding a bike to go and see these people can’t wait for the step

Fantastic experience: I came to bikesafe already having my CBT from a different company but I wish I did it with bikesafe from the beginning!!! A big shout out to Dave if it wasn't for him I would be having to resit my mod2 test again so honestly I couldn't recommend them enough. The staff are all welcoming and understanding, they find your strong points and your weak points and give you the confidence to get through your tests and do not push you if your not ready. Fantastic experience: Had he cbt on the 17th, excellent experience. The whole team was very kind and funny, but firm when it counted which I found very useful. At 43 I decided to finally get my big boy license and with one phone call I was set. From an initial assessment to see just how many lessons I would need to passing my Mod 2 test in 7 sessions. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of doing any license level from CBT to full license.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic instructors for my day-long CBT on a manual 125cc. As a woman I had some concerns about macho nonsense but both Derek and Dave absolutely fantastic and I needn't have worried. Derek was calm and patient, knew when to praise and when to be serious, and how to teach in a way that didn't undermine confidence, just told me to take a breath, reset and go again. I'd highly recommend them and am looking forward to my next lot of training for my DAS!

Fantastic experience: CBT 25/10/24. Had an enjoyable informative CBT course with Bikesafe today. The tutor is knowledgeable and gets his point across in a friendly "big brother" kind of way. He doesn't look down on his pupils, he just has a way of getting people to do things right. I felt at ease doing the course, and even though I was nervous, i took in all the things I was taught and completed the course, thanks to the professional tutoring. I will now gain valuable experience of road craft, riding technique and more importantly safe riding skills while pottering about the streets. Thank you Bikesafe! I can recommend you to anybody thinking of taking to the 2 wheel hobby.

Fantastic experience: Had an absolute blast learning to ride an automatic today; Derek and Dave are both straight forward and easy to get along with instructors, allowing for the perfect blend of serious safety checks/talks, experienced and knowledgeable handling of the vehicle, and tools ol’ banter (though do beware of the puns! They come a plenty!) — if you’re looking to have a good time, intend to seriously knuckle down learn, and happy to ride around on two wheels, definitely give this school a go; I certainly don’t regret it!

My boyfriend and I passed our CBT yesterday and couldn’t be happier!

Negative experience: Do not book with this company if you are a novice and have no previous riding experience they do not have time to teach you how to ride a motorbike. Myself and a friend paid £195 each, we had no experience at all and this was made clear at the time of booking. We started at 08:45 and did some classroom work before going out to the bikes. After approximately 15minutes of tuition on the bike I was pressured into swapping from a 125 manual to a moped which is not what I had signed up for, I was told I was holding the others up, so felt pressured to change. Myself and my friend were told at noon to go home and we would have to pay another £130 and come back. My friend complained and we managed to secure a few hours training with Chris in the afternoon. Chris was an excellent trainer and it’s a pity we didn’t have him first thing.

Fantastic experience: I went to Bike Safe after a recommendation from a friend that used them many years ago. They were being recommended then and still being highly recommended now! That says a lot about their business, knowledge, experience and choice of instructors. I did the CBT / MOD 1 / MOD 2 and the time seemed to fly. They can transform either a novice, or dirt bike fool like myself into a sensible, confident and safe, road riding biker without breaking a sweat! The instructors are calm, humorous, knowledgable and patient. The bikes are on point, clean and well maintained. The basic riding gear provided (Helmet, Gloves, Hi-Vis vest) are all clean and serviceable. I used it throughout and never gipped once from nasty niff’s. I couldn’t recommend enough and I hope that at least one time I can give a ‘word of mouth’ recommendation and they go complete their training with this team! Great training centre, great team, great pricing - just missing a cappuccino maker! 6 Stars

Fantastic experience: The best experience from start to finish. From never riding a bike before to passing my Mod 2 in a few months. I couldn't have done it without the patience, fun and effort the whole team put into every lesson. The start Dave and Derek give you on the 125's is invaluable and if I can give any advice it is listen to what they are telling you, if they recommend a set amount of lessons, do them - BikeSafe really do know best. I had a great time with Chris practising for my Mod 1 and finished off my training with the main man Phil for my Mod2 Practise and test. I couldn’t leave review without mentioning Anne too – I’ve no doubt Anne is the glue that holds it all together and what makes BikeSafe such a success, organised, knowledgeable and just lovely! I would recommend to anyone regardless of experience. Thank you all!

Fantastic experience: What can I say. These guys (and a gal) are the real deal. Everything they said I needed to work on, I needed to work on. I passed my CBT, mod1 and mod2 first time. If they tell you you need more 125 lessons, don't be upset that it costs money; be happy that when they say you're ready, you'll actually be ready. They do not want you to fail; they want more bikers (especially women, not enough of you!), they want you on a bike and to survive on a bike. I'll be forever grateful to the team for helping me realise the dream of being a biker; it's changed my life. I could not recommend Bike Safe enough. L plates came off outside the cabin! Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience with Bikesafe. I even travelled from Derbyshire to Hillsborough for this company, as there are a lot of time wasters around. It was my first time on a motorcycle and Derrick was brilliant. He offered me the opportunity to go automatic, if I found the manual bikes a bit too difficult at first. He was clear and explained everything to me. I will definitely be wanting to progress up through my licences with these guys.

Fantastic experience: Derik and Dave at Bikesafe break down something quite complicated into simple, achievable steps. You start out in the morning in a parking lot scenario and begin with the basics. They ramp up the difficulty of the moves as the morning progresses and then after lunch, they take you out on the road. As you ride around, you have an earpiece in and they talk you through what they are doing on the bike and what to look out for. The dialogue was really settling and helped solidify what was learned in the morning session. After an hour of driving around, they let you lead and check that you are doing your best to follow the advice given. They're not expecting you to be perfect. I stalled a couple of times, forgot to take of my indicators, etc... and it was no problem. The simply expect you to drive competently and safely. Both Derik and Dave are excellent teachers, top class. No stress, no attitude just kind, helpful and positive. They also talked a lot about bike safety, gear, the basic mechanics of the bike and highway code. It was an all day session but from 0 to enjoying the open road in a day, for someone as boneheaded as me! Fair play.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend the team down at Bikesafe enough!! A proper friendly bunch (with great banter) who all put you at ease right away whether you’re doing your CBT for the first time or progressing on to your Mod 1 or 2. After a quick, initial ride to see where I was at skill and confidence wise, Anne and Phil advised me on how many lessons I needed and quickly got me behind the handlebars. The bikes are new, clean and well looked after which is brilliant for building confidence and getting used to controlling the bike. Phil’s the gaffer and he’s a great bloke but Anne’s in charge and she’s got her finger firmly on the pulse. Derek, Chris and Dave are the instructors and all three are spot on with the training. But full credit goes to Phil when it comes to getting the job done. He doesn’t give much away in terms of progression but he knows whether your ready or not and good enough to go through the test. Fantastic experience: I was trained by Derik who I found an amazing instructor as the way he spoke to me was really honest and straight to the point but never in a rude or even harsh way he also made sure that I was happy with everything I did but also making sure he was happy at the same time . The team are all really nice people and good instructors and I really enjoyed my day, would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I passed my Category A module 2 yesterday. So I am finally qualified to ride any motorcycle. I've wanted to do this since I was 20, and I'm 62 now so a bit of a late starter. I am really impressed with the quality of training I received from the Bikesafe team. Anne my first contact was very encouraging and I was on a CBT course in no time. Then Chris, Dave and finally Phil had their patience tested training me through the 125cc sessions to the module 1 and module 2 tests. Their training skills are second to none. I found their support and encouragement was inexhaustible. They really can teach an old dog new tricks. They have plenty of space at the training centre and free parking for your car. The radios and safety equipment were all in excellent condition. The bikes i used were virtually new and well maintained. Bikesafe has to be the best place to learn to ride a motorbike whatever your age. Thanks again to all the team. Safe riding to you all.

Fantastic experience: Excellent training for your new 2 wheeled adventures, the instructors are very pleasant & great to get on with, & the tuition is second to none, I highly recommend this company if you're looking for bike training in or around the Sheffield area UPDATE :- Completed my training today, & after 40years of 'gonna do my bike test' ..I finally passed my test today 7/11/23, & I have to GENUINELY say I couldn't have done it without the help of this company, Anne (owner) is lovely & explains all the costs, books all your lessons/training, Phil (owner) is excellent in the advance stages of your training through to your test, & Dave & the other trainers are fantastic with training from the cbt, right up to the advanced stages moving towards the mod1, mod2 elements, the way they handle the course really puts you at ease & if you're struggling with any aspect they help you through it without criticism, people say this & don't often mean it, but I have to HONESTLY say " I could not have done it without them".....I could not recommend this team enough...THANK-YOU GUYS its been great, & hopefully see you all soon with the new (to me) Kawasaki z1000

Fantastic experience: Firstly, if your thinking of getting a bike license, just go for it. Bikesafe staff were great when i did my CBT Test. I have not have many hours on the bike before, however by the end of the day I left confident and well aware of what to expect when riding, either through town or on country roads. You will get a good idea on price and what to expect at the end of the day. Its well worth it - Update About a month ago I passed my mod 1 Today I passed my mod 2 It was a pleasure to do my training at Bike Safe the staff is fantastic, big thanks to Derek, Dave, Chris, Phil and Anne. They look after you at every stage of your training. 100% would recommend to anyone !

Fantastic experience: 2 days ago I passed my CBT first time. I went from having no motorbike experience to being fully competent on how to operate and ride one. Everyone there is fantastic and had no problems with anyone, everything was explained clearly, from the structure of the day to the basics of riding a geared bike. I highly recommend booking a CBT here if you're unsure on where to go, the day is relaxed enough to help you with any doubts you might have and its a great experience and I am glad I had my first introduction to riding a bike here. Overall, the day was amazing and I enjoyed all of it, I will 100% be continuing my route through the licenses here.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic place to get your licences! I started learning with BikeSafe having never ridden a motorcycle before, and I would do it all over again with them if I had to! Passed both MOD1 and MOD2 in 2 months! Anne is great - addresses any concerns/issues you have with the learning process, as well as being easy to communicate with when it comes to booking/cancelling/moving lessons. All the instructors are a great bunch! Friendly, up for a good laugh and supportive, but they don't stray away from constructive criticism (which is very useful!). I would highly recommend BikeSafe to anyone wanting to learn to ride a motorcycle! Cannot praise them enough!

Fantastic experience: Passed my Mod 2 Cat A test on Wednesday! And it’s all thanks to the thorough, professional, kind and fun training that I received from Bikesafe Sheffield! At every stage of the process I had the most appropriate instructor. Phil for Mod 2, Steve for Mod 1, and Chris for 125 training. All overseen by the incredibly efficient Anne! Everything was organised for me, all I had to do was pay and show up! Details of the relatively complex process for obtaining a full license were explained clearly, and costs were fully laid out beforehand. The majority of time was spent on a bike. They also supported my relatively anxious partner to get her CBT in a very patient and friendly environment. All in all, an excellent service. Negative experience: I have never rated or reviewed someone bad on here. But sorry guys, Im highly disappointed in bikesafe rider training is so bad that i have to do this. When you call them to enquire and book, the lady on the phone talks to you very nicely and everything but once paid and everything, they wont talk to you properly. The instructors were nice but the management is so bad. They over charged me for cbt and then made me do so many lessons and still wanted me to do more. I changed my school and they sent me straight to test, passed it on my first attempt. Would not recommend bikesafe rider to anyone.

Fantastic experience: On the 15th of this month (November 22) I completed my training and acquired my full unrestricted bike license through BikeSafe. Anne and the team were amazing, friendly, approachable, up for a laugh and most of all outstanding with their knowledge and tuition. I was recommended BikeSafe by a friend of mine who had just recently completed his direct access through them and honestly I am glad he passed on their details. From the initial conversation over the phone with Anne to getting out on the road with Phil and the team. The training is tailored to the needs that would help prepare you for your CBT, theory, Mod 1 and Mod 2. I never did my CBT or theory training through BikeSafe, I did however complete a three day 125cc training sessions that helped build my confidence and riding skills that prepared me for the bigger bikes that you will use on the test days. When you finally book your Mod 1&2 the team will book a full days training session focused on the specific test, you also are able to complete Mod 1 mock tests on the DSA track pad (which does help in giving an insight on what you are to expect on the day. Mod 2 training is also acquired through on road riding lessons and whoever your instructors are they will tailor the rides along test routes and also various other routes so that you enjoy your time on the road. Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of acquiring my full bike license with BikeSafe over the summer which involved completing my CBT, theory and both Mod 1+2. It was nothing but an enjoyable experience with a great bunch of instructors. Used to look forward to each and every lesson - always a great laugh. You won't regret it! Fantastic experience: Loved learning to ride here, the instructors are all very nice and helpful when teaching. I did my CBT and A2 license here: I always looked forward to a riding session, will definitely come back to do my unrestricted license in 2 years. Anne and the instructors took care of everything for me so I just turned up to ride the bike and take my tests. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer experience learning to ride a bike! Fantastic experience: I did a direct access course with Bikesafe a few months ago, passed first time. From the moment you arrive to do your CBT to the moment you pass, and you will pass if you listen to the fantastic instruction, you'll feel like part of the family. Anne arranges everything and knows what she's talking about, she'll guide you through the various dates and appointments. The instructors will then take you through the riding, sharing stories, advice, and the all important rules of the road and the test. Being close to Rotherham meant that we could access the test centres Mod1 course, yes Bikesafe have a mock test area they can setup at their centre in Sheffield but using the actual course you'll use on the day of your test helps to make it feel more familiar and comfortable. Also the ride over to Rotherham and back gets you used to riding on the roads, which you'll need to do in Mod2. After passing my Mod1, Bikesafe started to take me out on the test routes, but by now you'll be confident enough to ride them and it's more a case of getting used to the routes and having some of the 'gotcha's' pointed out to you by the instructor. The bikes you ride are perfect for what they need to do, CBT bikes take a lot of punishment, the bigger bikes feel so much better. If you're thinking of doing your A2 or DA then I can highly recommend Bikesafe. Their pass rate is high because the quality of their training and assessment of your ability (and that's extremely important) is first class. I've been riding now on a daily basis for the last few months and the things I learnt are part of every ride I take. Thanks to Steve and Ann and all the rest of the staff at Bikesafe.
