ACBT London are a DVSA-approved motorcycle and rider training school offering a comprehensive range of motorcycle lessons and courses. These include CBT (Compulsory Training) certificates, CBT renewals, and the DAS (Direct Access Scheme) to obtain an unrestricted motorbike license. Additionally, we provide a variety of one-to-one courses tailored for both new riders and those returning to motorcycling. We can teach you to ride in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Galician and Italian. We offer women only days and sessions especially for beginners.

Fantastic experience: If you ever need a CBT, a refresher course, or to switch from auto to manual...these are your guys and this is the place to do it! I did a CBT here, my 4th (yes I'm not young!) Lol and they were exceptional. The course was led by the Charismatic Barney (all business up front followed by a serious party at the back) and J.Mourinho (Joe...not Jose, that his cousin). Great guys that take great care and pride in the instructions and knowledge they share. The course, excellently and thoroughly delivered, was taught in a manner that was fun and easy to digest. Always with the focus on safety and preservation of life and why certain actions and maneuvers are done...and the severe consequences that could occur if you didnt. I like the way they tailored their 1 to 1 teaching to the varying skill levels of each student within the class as a group. Great facilities, operating from a compact and efficient set up, with plenty of room for the great quality motorcycles/mopeds that are provided to maneuver. They also provide full gear of needed, boots, helmet, jacket, gloves, all included in their very competitive price. Keep a look out for their summer offers, I manage to snag a slot and saved an extra £20! I thoroughly enjoyed my day, thank you very much gentleman bikers. I shall return for my mod's.

Negative experience: An honest advise if u want to pass cbt dont come here. They are liars and very dishonest and rude. They just want money from us. They asked to come back 2nd time as i ll need a lil bit more training but their instrustor joe lied and very rude on the 2nd time. They demotivate u so much so u lost passion of bikes completely. I asked for videos of my training and they promised to send but its almost over 6 months didnt recived anything. i did cbt with someone else and i passed 1st time. Dont know whats wrong with them
Hi Nabila, we discussed with you via many messages and emails that we still hold on record about your complaint, we even sent you your footage of your day. You said that Joe wasn't rude in these emails because all of our training days are recorded for our protection and your protection. Once you were informed of this you took back in writing what you had said. As for your training day itself; You arrived over 30 minutes late and your instructor Joe still allowed you to join the course regardless of this, which was not rude but extremely accommodating. During the session you could not do the emergency stop at all and constantly in OSMPSL went over the stop line. You didn't complete 1 controlled stop at a junction in a safe position. To take you out on the road like this would have been unsafe for you, the other students, the instructors and other road users. We communicated this to you at the time. We do still hold all emails written back and forth between ACBT London and yourself from when we tried to sort this problem out for you. We are very happy that you passed your CBT eventually after 6 months. We understand that not getting a CBT in one day is disappointing, but we would appreciate it if you removed the elements of this review which are untrue. Our admin team tried to resolve this situation with you in a kind, caring and respectful way. Which deserves more than one star. Thank you. ACBT London

Negative experience: I once came here time expecting to be taught and trained how to ride a motorcycle safely and defensively. I can guarantee that the training they provide is minimal and inadequate. Furthermore, I was told I wasn't ready to be let out on the road, citing control issues , a result of their incompetencies training, and was told to come back later by re-booking. I paid £170 for the initial booking already, expecting full training. A month and a half later, I was invited again. Re-booking cost me £95, where they taught me in the same amateur way, only by a different instructor, but with the same result of being turned away before having a chance of on-road practice, citing control issues and to re-book for a new date. I thought that CBT stood for Compulsory Basic Training, where the instructors are responsible for your understanding of bike control and road safety. If I come out of the morning session uneducated and not ready, then that is their fault. Pair that with another CBT school I attended, which I won't name for reasons of bias, who taught me with professional effort and in-depth knowledge.They kept us drilling/practicing any manoeuvres that we weren't skilled enough in or 100% sure in. After a while, all 4 trainees had a shot with on-road practice, even the worst performers of the group (2 at a time), unlike ACBT instructors who only took 2 trainees on the road in their day and wrote the rest off with their unpreparedness gimmick. We all ended up passing due to a superior training style and giving the students chances to prove their road safety and technique. Also, when I entered the ACBT location first day, I saw a yellow puddle on the floor and the whole room smelled like urine for a couple hours, so I also question the sanitation of their facility and, by extension, their motorcycle kit. The other CBT school sanitised a jacket for me right in front of my eyes and provided everyone a balaclava. Really puts into perspective how lacklustre ACBT takes their pathogenic safety, along with everything else they undertake. In conclusion, I highly do NOT recommend ACBT London due to their horrible attitude to training & teaching, their willingness to turn you away for monetary gain, and their cleanliness. Absolutely corrupt and disgusting. Not even my worst enemies deserve to get punked and disrespected to this extent. I suppose It's easiest to deceive a man when he trusts you extensively.

Hi Alex. Google offer a possible 5 stars to enable you to leave an objective review. The office has contacted your son about this. Please see below for a more balanced and objective summary. Your bookings were carried out in a timely, efficient and professional manner. All the information we gave you in the lead up to your training was detailed and accurate and beyond the levels of service required. You were treated with professionalism, politeness and friendliness at every step of the way. The standard of training you received was top quality. Just on those points alone we deserve better than one star. In your comment you highlighted one of the main reasons for your lack of success: "You're not balancing the clutch correctly". If a rider cannot control the clutch there is no way they can be given a CBT certificate that allows them to ride a motorcycle on the road. The reason you have not obtained the CBT is because you have failed to meet the relevant competence and safety standards to ride on the road in the UK. Yes, the course IS indeed Compulsory Basic Training but what you have clearly failed to understand is that one thing CBT is NOT, is a attendance day course. Just because you attend does not mean you will attain the certificate. No, it is NOT a formal test but IT IS a continuous assessment process during the day. In accordance with DVSA rules the trainee MUST attain the correct standard in ALL the elements of the day, both practical and theory. Let's examine your comment: "...they want you to fail before the training starts..." We always signpost our trainees with full information on the CBT. We have published all relevant information to allow trainees to carry out effective research prior to the course. And now let's look at your final accusation: "...just to charge you again and again..." Our primary concern is motorcycle and road safety. Your failure to attain CBT is because you cannot safely control a manual motorcycle and is certainly not financially motivated. We have small class sizes to maximise the learning experience. This means that we limit our potential earning possibilities to give our trainees the chance of success. We charge £170 for a CBT. If a trainee needs to return we charge £95. We would be more than happy if every seat on our courses was earning £170. The seat you took on your second attempt we could easily have sold for £170 as demand for our courses is high and not £95. In other words we lose £75 per booking each time a trainee such as yourself fails to attain CBT. That can hardly be seen as financial motivation can it? I hope the above does several things. 1: explain why you did not attain the CBT certificate. 2: to hopefully explain to future readers that CBT is not a guaranteed pass and that the trainee needs to show the levels of safety and competency which you failed to. 3: we hope that this explanation shows your "review" is merely an underhand and vindictive attempt to discredit our excellent reputation. even though you weren't successful I think we deserve better than one star. Fantastic experience: I went for my CBT here and it was a great experience. Joe and Barney were fantastic instructors, they explained all the concepts clearly and in a fun, interesting way. They also gave me the opportunity to have a ride around on a a few different bikes to see which ones I liked best. Everyone is so passionate about riding motorbikes, and they were all willing to share their experiences and answer questions (non-CBT related), such as good starter bike recommendations. I'll definitely be back to take my Mod 1 and 2 tests in the future!

Fantastic experience: Definitely the best place to learn how to ride. Couldn't give a single fault. Went from never have touched a motorcycle to completing both my CBT and DAS within 6 months; all thanks to ACBT - they exceeded my expectations in every way. They're very passionate, knowledgeable, they have well maintained bikes and reasonable pricing on training/tests. If you're looking for a motorcycle training school that not only teaches you how to ride but also instills a love for the open road and a commitment to safety, I wouldn't look any further.
