Fantastic experience: Had my CBT today with Big Mike (the colourful instructor) and it was great. Mike is extremely down to earth and makes a potentially intimidating experience feel casually natural. Enjoyed the banter had over lunch and picking his brains about how he became an instructor. I'd recommend booking in here and asking for Mike. He's the type of grounded guy that I'd like to have a pint and a good chinwag with. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: I recently purchased a Suzuki V-Strom 1050 from Wallasey Motorcycles, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. I'm from the North East so was quite apprehensive about buying a bike so far away but after speaking with the shop, I felt happy to make the long ride down. The entire purchasing process was smooth and hassle-free. The team at Wallasey Motorcycles ensured that all my questions were answered and that I felt confident in my decision. On the day of the purchase, everything was ready as promised, and the bike was in perfect condition. I highly recommend Wallasey Motorcycles to anyone looking for a new bike.

Negative experience: Would put 0 stars if possible. My husband booked (phone call was made Tuesday 15th) his MOT and service for Saturday (19th) morning 09.30. Bike was dropped off just before 09.30. Was told would be a few hours, he phoned them at 1pm to be told it was just on the bench and would be an hour or so. Phoned again just after 2pm to be told the bike needed a back tyre and swing arm bolt. Told this would take a couple of hours and they would phone. No call by 4.30 so he went, assuming the bike would be ready as the shop closes at 5.30. When he got there he was told that they haven’t finished and wouldn’t be able to finish that day. My husband left the shop very angry after being told it would be Tuesday (today) before it was ready as they don’t open Mondays!. He depends on his bike to go to work, (had to get taxis). Collected the bike today at 3.45 and this was the bill. Photo added. Absolutely appalling service, extortionate billing and even worse communication, they did not once phone him to let him know what was going on. Customer lost Thank you for your response. At no time during the the four times my husband phoned and the one time he came to the shop, was it mentioned that the bike was not roadworthy…. If that was the case, surely that would have been one of the first things you would have stated! My husband purchased the bike from you last year, when making arrangements for payment and collection etc, you had the right number then! When my husband phoned at 1pm on Saturday, he was told the bike had just gone on the bench? When he phoned back a 2.15 that is when they mentioned the brakes, the bolt and the tyre…..he agreed to the work being done and was told it would be ready in a couple of hours!! Again no mention of the bike not being roadworthy!!! I stand by my review.

Negative experience: all postive reviews are friends with the shop and people who work there they charge what they want for mot and second hand parts wait for long time for new parts and still charge more than it was dont fix bikes properly so you have to go back and they charge more money saying its something they have not fixed will never go there again STAY CLEAR PEOPLE IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF also the person who wrong review saying about they charged 2 times for mot in 3 days and charge for second hand part hope you got sorted

Negative experience: Ordered a part for a motorcycle helmet over 4weeks ago told me it would be about 5-7 days at the most,just keeps giving sad excuses.pretty poor

Fantastic experience: I completed my CBT, Mod 1, and Mod 2 here through the Direct Access Scheme, and really couldn't fault the whole process. CBT was professional, and left me feeling confidence on the roads. Steve is an absolute gentleman, and was phenomenal at all aspects of training. Mod 1 training was thorough, and Steve's way of training helped me pass first time. He has a way of teaching that caters to exactly what you are lacking. You will spend a few hours in the actual test center, which just makes the test... easy. Moving onto Mod 2; I passed with flying colours, zero faults, and rode away a more confident rider. I went into this one a nervous wreck, but the couple of hours of training beforehand, around the roads local to the test center helped massively. Again, I can only thank Steve for his magical way of training riders. He has a passion for it, and it really shows. The level of professionalism is outstanding, from the sales, to the training, and from what I've heard, the workshop. I'll be using this place for years to come for any biking needs! I'm going to miss tagging along on the rides! The Llangollen ride out was a perfect experience of everything in one session. Ride safe!

Fantastic experience: Friendly, knowledgeable and patient staff with a good selection of new and used bikes and gear.

Negative experience: The manager Mike very abrupt towards people and trying to charge £20 for a second hand part with no warranty,Saying he can charge what he wants because he thinks hes the only one who can get that part.and also charging £40 for a £25 MOT then charging another £40 3 days later for it again

Fantastic experience: If there were more than 5 stars I could give, I would. Big Mike was the most patient man ever teaching this bag of nerves! He never gave up on me even when I wanted to give up on myself. All the staff have been amazing and I would recommend these guys to anyone that wants to ride. Positive experience: Bought a brand new moped for my daughter from here. Honda sym 50cc. Customer service was good, and we went away happy. Would have left 5 stars, but after we got the brand new moped home, we noticed that part of the handle bar cowling was broken. Nothing serious, but as it is brand new, we wanted it 100%. A quick phone call, and Elliot assured us he would order a new cowling straight away. This was 2 months ago, and they are still awaiting the part. They have assured me that as soon as the part arrives, they will sort it.

Fantastic experience: I have just completed my CBT training with Mike i was really nervous about it but Mike was an amazing teacher and I really enjoyed the whole process and once out on the road it felt really natural to me all thanks to mike can’t recommend him enough thanks again

Negative experience: **DO NOT TRAIN HERE** Save your time money and wellbeing. Do not train here. They don't even have a mod 1 test plece. So you have to go around public parking lots where cars are going crazy trying to do the mod 1 training. What a joke. They're greedy and invent stuff just to pay fo extra lessons, the gaslighting is incredible. Most of the training is in Wirral and the test centre is in Chester. You won't know the places in Chester and you will fail because the examiners are very strict. Substandard training to say it at least. Wasted my 2023 with this place and was a huge mistake. Save your time money, the bikes are bad, Chinese made Benelli. Do yourself a favour and save yourself from bad people and places.

Negative experience: My Son Came Her To Purchase A Second Hand Bike To Get Him To & From Work Daily, He Was Talked Into Purchasing A Brand New 125cc As Elliotts Words Where "I Wouldn't Be Happy Selling You A Second Hand Bike Especially For Work As My Be Unreliable And Don't Want You Colin Back Etc With Problems". So His New Bike Only 8mths Old Wouldn't Start One Day & Had The Battery Checked & Was Knackered & Not Holding Charge, I Was Told To See Tom Who Checked The Battery Was No Good & He Had The Cheek To Try & Sell My Son A New Battery For A Staggering £60 Stating Its A Consumable, I said What On A Brand New Bike Thats Not His Fault & Surely A Warranty Thing? He Stated He's Not Doing Enough MileageTo Which I Pointrd out My Son Wasn't Told This At Point Of Sale Of The Bike & I Really Don't Rate Your Aftersales & Will Be Making A Full Complaint To The Finance Company About This & Go Further If I Have Too..

Fantastic experience: I did a CBT with Wallasey motorcycles, I already had one but wanted to renew. I will say I had picked up a couple of bad habits whilst riding before I came to Wallasey motorcycles but Wallasey motorcycles helped me address these concerns and has made me a much better rider. I will be doing my full test with them in future. Their staff walked me through their process and costs, explaining in depth the next stages of i wished to progress to a bigger bike. Fantastic experience: I did my cbt here 19th August 23 with Steve who puts you at ease he's relaxed but firm when needed patient and has a sense of humour. I originally booked with hot wheelz motorcycles for a cbt but all the bikes were to big for me or broken and lost my £170 which I'm still trying to get a part refund as it wasnt my fault. point is wallasey motorcycles is well astablished and reputable they can offer you a bike to suit you regardless of your height nothing was to much trouble at all it's £20 less than other places in all honesty I'm kicking myself that I didn't book my cbt here to start with but you live and learn this is the place to book your cbt

Negative experience: Not happy with tge service from here on parts needed. I contacted these because my usual dealer told me they had none in stock of what I needed. Urgently needed the bike back on the road so I purchased from here as he told me 3-4 days. I'm still waiting for the part. 10 days after. I was also told it was posted days ago , to ring up and be told its here today, il send it out. Not ideal as I could of gone elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Had my CBT course today with Big Mike and it couldn't have gone any better! His passion and enjoyment for teaching the course came across at all times and his style really helped to learn the important things but also have fun and feel at ease at the same time, which I found particularly helpful when trying to build up my confidence at the very beginning. The guys in the shop were also very helpful afterwards in helping me pick out and buy the right bike for me to be able to get to work and back.

Fantastic experience: So I called the shop to get advice on security for my stepsons Moped, I’d been looking online for a few days but was totally befuddled with what would be the correct size, weight and level of security.. I was greeted on the phone by Elliot, who was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Off the back of this call I drove from Maghull to Wallasey and was greeted by very friendly staff, Elliot got the products he had recommended and even carried them out to the car for me.. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough great customer service.. thank you ☺️

Fantastic experience: Passed my CBT today with Wallasey Motorcycles. Couldn’t have asked for a better instructor than Kev. I didn’t have to ask a single question as everything was explained through out the day in full. I was a bit nervous at first but his dad jokes put me at ease The bike they gave me for the CBT was so easy to ride that I have already applied for finance to get one.

Fantastic experience: Did my CBT today with partner, took him a while to persuade me to do it. I went into this really unconfident possibly as it’s a male heavy community (I had this impression in my head) and while I do drive I don’t know much about motorbikes I was a complete novice, however instructor Kev adapted an approach of not favouring my partner who was doing better than me confidence wise but trying to build me up to get to the same confidence level. He seamed to know exactly when to say his cringey jokes hehehe to snap you back down to earth when you got frustrated. His approach was fantastic in sense of calmly explaining what I could do to improve and complimenting me if I had the right driving technique. These two key factors are what give me the push & confidence to complete my CBT today. all the employees and owner of this business are incredibly knowledgeable & friendly. Thanks guys

Fantastic experience: Just done my CBT with Kevin, was a good day filled with some questionable jokes When it come to the serious side of it there was a very professional approach which was informative and fun. This is my 3rd CBT with my other 2 over the years being from different shops, and he was teaching me things still that others had not. Makes me feel more confident if I ever decide to take the step towards a full bike license, which I'd definitely book with Wallasey Motorcycles.

Positive experience: I did My provisional licence today the reason why I didn't put 5 star is because you should provide a reliable scooter to ride in the road. The one you give go us today for the other student that was at the same time with me was a totally disaster . It was keeping switching off at all the time . I think this is totally unprofessional and not safe for the students who will ride . Could been a disaster today but thanks to Kevin an amazing I instructor very cal m and professional that all went well .

Positive experience: came here to do cbt test at 16 and it was a great experience. instructor kevin had a great sense of humour and taught very well which helped my understand everything very quickly.I would give 5 stars however one of the mopeds which we were using for it kept dying and refusing to start,made doing the test quite difficult and made us lose some time. They did however deal with it fairly quickly upon realising it wouldn't work and gave me a different one. overall great teaching and place, would definitely recommend

Fantastic experience: Did my CBT with Wallasey Motorcycles today, had Kev for an instructor. He was very knowledgeable and patient, remained calm even when I was was losing my cool with myself. He kept me focussed and was able to quickly identify errors I was making, clearly explaining what I needed to do to improve and got me up to standard He even threw some terrible jokes in for free.....what a guy! Great experience, great day, very happy I chose to train here and will be going back for my next licence.

Fantastic experience: Passed my CBT, A1 & A2 with at Wallasey Motorcycles, I can’t remember who I done my CBT with however I can tell you about my A1 and A2 (Steve) he’s one calm and knowledgeable instructor, he guided me brilliantly and I can’t thank him enough. 2 of us went to Chester for our A2, and 2 of us had our licenses shredded and new ones in the post as we both passed, me with 2 minors, and one of them was because I fell asleep at the traffic lights ‍♂️

Negative experience: Wished I had read their reviews before going to them. They have an awful lot of bad reviews, you should be bothered to scroll down and read them, seems like a game of chance when you use them, will you be one of the lucky ones‍♂️.Wallasey motorcycles accepted my money for a direct access course and I informed them that I work away all week and would only be available for training on Saturday mornings. I had 2 lessons then they have let me down and give me an unwanted 2 week break then I had my theory booked in for the following Saturday. Then Mike rang me last night at 10 to 6 whilst I was on my way home on the train and told me Steve has got COVID, which would not have been a problem lesson wise had I not been given an unwanted 4 week break now before my next 2 hr lesson, then onto my MOD1 test.This morning I went in and recorded our conversation and have let others listen to it and I was being totally reasonable until Mike flipped, said I was being disrespectful about his dad. Not anywhere in our conversation was I disrespecting anyone, let alone his dad and I also never had a clue it was his dad. He did say Steve is their only direct access instructor, he also mentions moving someone else’s lesson out to accommodate me, which in itself isn’t right. They are accepting peoples monies and once they have it, they mess you around to keep getting other peoples monies. They purely haven’t any instructors apart from his dad. There’s more to this than I’ve put on here but Mikes behaviour today was not professional at all and quite immature. It’s a good job Steve(his dad) opened the business because from the evidence I’ve witnessed today, Mike wouldn’t have the ability to. My advice, stay away from Wallasey motorcycles!!!

I was nervous as first time on a motorbike but he kept me calm when I was starting to doubt myself which I did a few times. 51 year old woman learning to ride a bike. I did question myself. The staff are brilliant; full of real knowledge & experience, fantastically friendly and approachable. What’s more, if you’re new to the motorcycle world these guys are so patient that they personally go out their way to make sure you ‘know’ everything you need to before going out on a lesson. Not only have I passed my CBT but I’m finally in the position to be out on the road on a great machine thanks to these guys. Massive shout outs to: - Elliot, who’s been a great buddy in generating my interest in bikes and pointing me in the right directions for good quality kit to purchase in keeping me as safe as possible, - Big Mike & Kev, who are phenomenal instructors that abide rigidly and fully support you out on the road under instruction as well as ironing out any creases of areas to personally improve on, - Dave (now retired), who pointed me in the right direction with sage-like wisdom in the motorbike to purchase “that was best for me in safety and operation”. This is by no means a “glorified salesman review” but rather to to highlight his outstanding knowledge of what’s actually realistic for the individual wishing to choose a machine to operate, as well as how that individual goes about them self in how they navigate what ‘type’ of motorcycles are practically suitable to look for & purchase. What an outstanding team.

Fantastic experience: I had an exhilarating day today doing my first CBT and thats all down to Big Mike. He taught me and 1 other rider how to use the road safely and efficiently. He was very reassuring wilst keeping my nerves at ease by cracking the odd joke... But in all seriousnus made the day a great exerience from start to finish. Highly recommend!!! Thanks again Mike

Fantastic experience: Kevin was outstanding in training me for CBT. I was quite nervous as I had never been on a motorcycle in my life. He was very observant and clear in his instruction, giving me full confidence to complete safely and competently. Definitely recommend him!!
