Fastrak Motorcycle training

Fantastic experience: Start of October I decided I wanted to get my full motorbike license after having had my CBT twice in the last 10years , after a few messages and a phone call to Pauline I had my CBT booked for end of October , which I done with John who was very good he was firm but fair and had very high standards but was just looking out for you. Once that was done I booked my direct access course which was set for end of November and done my theory before this which I passed thankfully . After a few cancellations due to whether I can confirm I passed both my mod 1 and mod 2 first time last week all thanks to the training provided by Gus and Pauline , special mention to Gus who has taught me ride properly but most importantly safely really can't thank him enough. I will also add that I traveled daily from Dalkeith ( Edinburgh outskirts ) to do my training with them that's just how good they are ! Thanks again guys Liam

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Fastrak for anyone thinking of getting their bike licence. Everything from the CBT through to the Mod 1 and 2 test preparation was carried out very professionally with safety being the highest priority. Just don’t mess up or you risk a noogie from Gus or a roasting from Pauline (both of which I deserved) . Thanks again for all your time and patience.

Fantastic experience: Well what can I say about Fastrak Motorcycle training… Would recommend the power team Pauline and Gus 100%. What a duo! superb knowledge and years of experience shines through, they can be harsh at times but let’s face it when learning you need to hear the good and bad! They both made the DAS course very enjoyable and they definitely believe in you (even when you don’t believe in yourself!) Passed both Mod 1 & Mod 2 first time. They both treat you like friends and it does feel like you’re out riding with very experienced friends that’s there to keep you right. And the banter is priceless!!

Fantastic experience: Thanks to my friend who recommended fastrac trio to me. I was not surprised to find friendly experienced riders who share there passion of bikes with you every time we met there were jokes/storys to put you at ease. I can honestly say even in nov/ Dec when tests are cancelled due to the weather Pauline had us booked back in as fast as possible. When I booked my CBT 27/03/23 i never thought I'd get my big licence i wanted to but the nerves of being responsible for me. Those nerves were quickly put to the side with fun and patience from Gus now I've had my MT125 from that week but I was busy or it was easier to jump on Colin's bike to go for longer rides (LAZY I Know). So when I booked my DAS course I should of had a lot more miles than I did. Gus is a patient personality with a come on old yin keep up at the ready. Pauline the next day is straight to the point but persistent which I needed and oh boy I did not make it easy as I don't know the area at all so I stayed on the cb500 to build my confidence I needed more time on the bike so a plan was made 3 extra days were booked and a fun practice ride with hippy John who switched character as soon as he goes through the gates to serious John this area is important its key to moving up during this I was convinced I'd done the right thing extra days meant big licence still a possibility with the comforting knowledge that an A2 limited licence was achievable. Well back to Gus who took me out again on the 500 then for the last hr I made it mt07 yess I was listening to all the instructions i was understanding all the verble comments from all instructors however putting it into practice was only going to come with repetition this is limited with a DAS course so don't be afraid to ask for extra time as they will tell you if you need it or not when my mod 1 was cancelled due to ice I panicked as I would not be on a bike for ten days but when I asked for an hour before and was reassured that I did not need it I was ready THANK YOU ALL. Fantastic experience: So never owned a bike, never ridden a bike until I signed up for CBT and DAS with Fastrak. Their training is fantastic, so patient but don't half kick your backside if you dont listen. This is bike training with an emphasis on safety. Yes they want you to pass but more importantly want you to be a safe rider. I was lucky (unlucky?) To be trained bt Pauline, Gus and John. All brilliant but beware Gus will threaten you with nuggies (not sure if that's the right spelling) when you make mistake that you shouldn't. Joking aside they are great, very supportive and even in a short space of time you soon think they are old friends. Thank you so much for all your support.

Fantastic experience: Recently went through my CBT with Fastrak and I can't recommend them enough, Pauline and Gus are a good laugh and it was great meeting them both, big thank you to Gus for getting me through my CBT, even though I was extremely nervous at the beginning of the on-road segment Gus got me through it with some firm words of encouragement, and by the end I was much more confident! Can't wait to get some experience on the road and then come back for my full license!

Fantastic experience: Started my journey with fastrak in 2023 with my cbt absolutely loved it, got a couple of thousand miles under my belt then decided to make the jump to direct access, 5 day course was filled with the best training you could ask for. John, Pauline and Gus are so patient and professional however they break the ice and tension with jokes and laughter to make you feel at ease, managed to pass mod 1 with their coaching and would've passed mod 2 aswell but a silly mistake on my part I failed however it's not over just yet as they will still work with you. I came to them as a customer and feel like I've gained 2 friends in the process! Can't wait to come back for my mod 2 and maybe a wee lesson before it to freshen up on that amazing mt07 thanks so much for everything it's well worth the money.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to give a huge shout out to the Team at Fastrak, particularly John who was my CBT Instructor. The weather wasn't the greatest on the day, but that didn't stop me from enjoying my first riding experience, and I believe this was fully down to John's chill attitude and patience as a trainer. Before I attended my CBT, I thought I'd just settle for that if I were fortunate enough to pass, but here I am halfway through the Riding Skills manual in prep for my theory so I guess I'll be seeing you guys again soon :) Thanks all!

Fantastic experience: I had an absolutely fantastic experience with all the instructors here, from out on the road to MOD 1 and Mod 2 practice, my confidence grew leaps and bounds over the sessions and Pauline and Gus were outstanding. It had a feeling of going out with friends as well as instructors, everything was done in a friendly way, which focused on safety and making sure I got the most out of the lessons. Fantastic experience: Where do I even start, I heard about Fastrak through various friends who all had successful learning experiences with them. I enrolled on a DAS course after speaking directly to Pauline who talked me through the whole process and advised me on my best course of action based on my riding experience. Once I was on my training I never at any point felt like a student but more like a friend getting advice from a more experienced friend. The whole system was a joy and all aspects of the training were so well explained and practised it left me feeling relaxed and confident in my abilities. I passed both my mod 1 and 2 first time and could not be happier. Pauline and Gus made the experience so much more interesting than just learning, their wealth of knowledge and experience left me with so much more than a category A license but with a sense of pride in my achievement and a sense of belonging to the motorcycle community. If anyone is thinking about having a go do not look any further than Fastrak!!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic riding school. From CBT to mod 2, you know you are with a team who really love what they do and are so focused on sharing it with people who want to learn. Team really know what they are doing with everyone. Take the time needed to train you and communication is brilliant from start to finish. Had an issue where I couldnt make my first day of training and thought it was over with but Pauline brought me in on the second day and wasted no time getting me used to the 125's and moving me up when I was ready. Could not recomend enough!

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to fastrak by a friend after a bad experience with another motorbike school and couldn't have been more happy, i did the 4 day DAS course and quickly began to feel much more comfortable on a motorbike, going on to pass my Mod1 and 2 first time thanks to expert advice from Pauline, Gus and John. They explained things in a way that was easy to understand and pointed out issues in a helpful manner giving me advice and methods to practice and improve my skills rather than just blame me as the other school did. I’ll definitely be back in two years when I need to take the full license exam again and hope to sit the advanced rider course at some point. :D

Fantastic experience: Took my CBT with fastrak then 2 years later again then soon after booked up and completed my DAS after years of battling with crippling anxiety which with Pauline & Gus I somehow forgot all about my anxiety they made doing the training so straight forward. Fantastic experience: I did my CBT there in January of this year and I loved it. I have been riding since and have had a spill in the rain but very minimal and superficial damage and was due to my negligence and low traction. I am completely okay and have continued on since and have had no issues. Thanks to the training I know all the basic safety procedures and make good use of indicators, proper turning, using mirrors, and how to make slow speed manoeuvres using clutch control. I practiced rev matching on my own and since have gotten quite good at it. The course was very easy and teaches you a lot and doesn’t feel at all like a test, so long as you pay attention. They go at your pace and take you out fully when you are ready. All in all a great experience and would recommend

Fantastic experience: I’ve just passed my MOD 2 and got my A2 license thanks to Pauline and Gus. These guys are absolutely amazing, I had never touched a motorcycle before my CBT in March and they were able to train me up to achieve my A2 in 3 months. The main thing they focus on is teaching you to ride safely and not to just pass the test so that when you are out by yourself you are 100% confident in your ability to ride. I cannot thank them enough for helping me and I can’t wait to go back to get my full license.

I chose to my training through Fastrak as they came recommended and it is no surprise, the training was thorough and very detailed however there was alot of fun and banter along the way. Come both mod 1 test and mod 2 test days I was feeling confident and passed both first time. 1 star review for Gus's patter though.

Fantastic experience: Forgot to leave this review on here as well as Facebook. Done my CBT with these guys, absolutely amazing service. Pauline and Gus are brilliant, veru very knowledgeable and always available for tips and help etc. Unlike a lot of places that just rush you through it and out to the road for the sake of money, they take the time with you and you leave feeling like you have made new friends not just a certificate.

Fantastic experience: Got my full motoribike licence with them a few weeks ago in 4 days. I went out with Gus who was great to learn from. Both practical and theoretical (Gus carries a book with diagrams of traffic situations to explain things better) the teaching is spot on, also helped by plenty of humor to keep things fun. Compared to other riding schools in the area it's a bit more expensive however the value for money is much better as you get a much better chance at passing your tests the first time. They include a full day on the DVLA test site practicing for your Module 1, which me and the 3 other students all passed on our first try. Fastrak also provides almost new motorbikes which have heated grips to make the riding easier and more comfortable, especially when the weather isn't great. After 4 days of training I didn't just feel ready to pass my test but ready to go out on the road myself safely. The tests were a breeze, thanks so much for the great time!

Fantastic experience: I recently did my DAS with Pauline and Gus and I honestly can't thank them enough. Being a gal with an over thinking brain full of anxiety, they saw the potential in me and got me to where I am today, a now fully passed rider. They both make you feel so at ease and they're knowledge on bikes is second to none. I have became a much confident rider and have realised the importance of safety through training with these guys. 100% recommend.

Fantastic experience: What can I say about Pauline and Gus, I have been riding for almost 25 years, already had riding licenses from 4 different countries but this is the best experience I have ever had. I knew I was at the right place when Pauline said we are preparing you to ride safely for the rest of your life and not just to pass a test. They love motorcycles and care about safe riding. I had a great time talking about riding, bikes, life, joking around and on top of it all I passed my Mod 1 and 2 first try, within a week. I highly recommend them!! Shout out to John too!

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT with John and passed both the Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests on the first try with the help of Gus and Pauline. It has been amazing learning at Fastrak and it was an absolute delight to be taught by this amazing team. It was very rare to not be smiling while being taught by Gus because of his sense of humour and from watching both Pauline and Gus, you could clearly see they both have excellent riding skills and have the skills to teach how to ride safely in every situation. Fantastic experience: Done my past 2 CBTs with Fastrak and then my DAS course, fantastic each and every time. Despite choking on my mod 2 (twice) I got through it thanks to the training and encouragement I received throughout, I'm definitely a far better rider than before and hope to continue that trend with time. Then started being firm but fair with instructions and critique. I went into the Mod 1 and Mod 2 feeling extremely comfortable on the MT07. ( passed first time on both). Fantastic experience: Done my DAS course on the 8th of November this year it was an absolutely brilliant 4 days with Gus. The bikes you get to learn on are brilliant well maintained and a variety of different ones. I learned everything I had to on the first day and had it all refined by the third day, 4th day was Mod 1 training which was brilliant as well. Passed both Mod 1 and Mod 2 first time with the training I received from Fastrak and would recommend anyone who is thinking about getting your licence to chose Fastrak they are absolutely brilliant you shall not be left disappointed. Fantastic experience: PASSED DIRECT ACCESS 1ST TIME!! Zero experience could get on a bike and move it but that's it. Gus is a very good instructor and Pauline was easy to deal with on the booking side of things. Spot on learnt a lot really enjoyed the course though my face wouldn't have showed it as it was fairly intense. Lots to learn, lots to absorb and a lot of information to put into practice but if they can get me through it they can get anyone through it. Good new bikes compared to the other schools! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Fastrak is the place to go for a no nonsense, professional and direct route to gaining your motorbike license. They went the extra mile to fit my DAS course around my hectic work schedule and provided all the support I needed (as well as some decent bikes) From having absolutely zero experience riding a motorbike to passing my CBT, MOD 1 & MOD 2, all on the first try is testement to their ability to teach even a complete novice such as myself.

Fantastic experience: Just done my DAS course through fastrak with Pauline and Gus, passing my MOD 1 and also gaining my full licence first time. To go from no experience of bikes, the patience and training from these guys are 2nd to none. To learn from proper bikers with over 45 years experience taught me alot. Cant recommend them highly enough and can guarentee they will have you confident in your own abilities. Make you feel pretty relaxed through out and there banters awrite aswell. Passed both mod1 and 2 1st attempt which is a credit to the training provided by Pauline, Gus and the 2 johns. From CBT all the way to category A license the training provided was exceptional, not only that I enjoyed every minute of it. From the CBT to the on the road lessons and the practice day for the mod1 test it was all an excellent time. I think I might actually miss gus’ soothing voice in my ear while riding on my own now haha! Genuinely have nothing but great things to say about the fastrak team and the experience they provide. Fantastic experience: Wanted to complete my DAS and spent lots of time searching and looking at different company's and couldnt fault or find any better than fastrak in ayr and I am glad I decided to call them and ask to train with them , fantastic service and information from start to finish, completed my CBT with John and couldn't have been anymore welcoming and friendly great advice and help , I then went onto doing my 4 day training with Pauline and Gus and what an experience these guys go over and above to make you feel welcome and settled while training I will truly miss going for training as it was like going for a bike ride with friends, Pauline and Gus have a real passion for teaching people to ride and it shows in their pass rates and the huge fleet of well looked after bikes with extra ad ons to make you even more at ease while training . I had a great time with fastrak and your made to feel like part of the team ,i passed my Mod1 and Mod2 and now have my full licence so was sad it was over but then i find out they do breakfast runs in their own time with old and new friends which mean I can then continue my ride with these guys. Fantastic experience: From cbt to passing my mod 2 in under 5 weeks with the direct access course i cant fault the staff at fastrak. There knowledge and experience is second to none. Very patient in their explanation of everything you are required to do and they treat you like a friend which puts you at ease.
