An excellent instructor, passionate and professional about his work always instructing how a good biker should behave on the streets transmitting security and confidence both in training and in tests. Fantastic experience: I had an exceptional motorbike lesson with David, whose blend of professionalism and friendliness made the experience enjoyable. He provided clear explanations about essential safety gear and taught me critical skills such as shoulder and mirror checks, using turn signals, and understanding speed limits. The practical portion focused on navigating roundabouts and crossroads, where David's patient guidance significantly boosted my confidence. Overall, I highly recommend David for anyone looking to enhance their motorbike riding skills!

Negative experience: If you enjoy rats, rusty shipping containers and outdoor loos that will break the strongest of noses, this is your place. I cannot in good faith recommend this training to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I started my journey at Lightning Motorcycle Training as a complete novice, never having ridden a motorbike and only riding as a pillion twice in my life. I set out to obtain my full licence and was impressed with Lightning’s reviews and their fair and open pricing so I signed up with them. The booking was super easy to make and the admin team work really hard to make sure you know what you need, where to be and when. They will help you book your sessions around your schedule and needs. In a short amount of time I obtained my A2 licence (passed both my Mod1 and Mod2 tests first time!) which is a huge testament to the instructors, their experience, patience and expertise. I had the privilege and pleasure of working with Dave, Marcus, Keith and Andrew at the Wembley site. What a lovely bunch of individuals, each with their own set of quirks, you’ll surely pick up a wealth of valuable advice. On the road I always felt safe and trust me, these instructors (each with their own riding and teaching style) genuinely want you to progress, they will always go above and beyond to see you succeed. I particularly like their no nonsense approach to teaching and the way that they will help you look for your own riding style. I cannot thank each and every one of you enough. I’ll be back for my A licence soon ☺️

Fantastic experience: I obtained my CBT and unrestricted motorcycle license thanks to the exceptional training I received at Lightning. Before Lightning, I had never ridden a motorcycle, after their CBT and DAS course, I have my full license. The entire experience was fantastic, and I cannot recommend this school highly enough. I had the privilege of being trained by David, Keith and Andrew, who were all incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and professional. Their ability to break down techniques and manoeuvres into manageable steps made the learning process simple and enjoyable. The instructors here place a strong emphasis on safety on the road and best practices which gave me the confidence to develop the skills needed to pass the tests. The school’s bikes were top-notch, and the office team was always professional, friendly, and accommodating. From start to finish, the entire process was well-organised and stress-free. I would highly recommend this school.

Fantastic experience: Dave, Andrew and Kieth trained me up for my full motorbike license they were very good at correcting mistakes I have picked up riding my 125 as well as guiding me on how to safely have complete control over a 650cc bike. Fantastic experience: Outstanding Motorcycle Training with Exceptional Staff! I recently completed my motorcycle training at Lightning Motorcycle Training, and I can’t recommend them enough! Right from the start, the reception staff was incredibly welcoming and professional. Her helpfulness and professionalism were standout qualities that made me feel confident in choosing this company over others. She was prompt with all my inquiries, and her friendly manner was a big reason I went with Lightning. The scheduling process was seamless, with constant updates via both email and text messages. This consistent communication showed not only their dedication to customer support but also their incredible efficiency. It really put my mind at ease knowing they cared about keeping me informed and on track every step of the way. The instructors—Andrew, Keith, and Dave—were absolutely fantastic. Each of them brought an exceptional focus on rider safety, and their teaching methods were clear, patient, and thorough. Andrew, my main instructor for the DAS full license, was instrumental in helping me successfully complete my mod 1 and mod 2 from the 29th of October to the 8th of November. His expertise and encouragement were invaluable throughout the process. Fantastic experience: Had an amazing instructor named Cole. He was an awesome personality and an amazing person to spend a day with. He made us understand every concept of the training in detail and made it very easy. He was riding since i was even not born. It was all because of him at the end of the day i was confident to ride motorcycle on the roads in UK. I enjoyed and learnt a lot.

Great instructors like Andrew and Dave will help you not just to pass but learn how to ride in real world scenarios. Fantastic experience: Keith helped me with my mod-2 retake. Went from 9 minors (and 1 major) to a pass with 2 minors. Admin team were very helpful with setting up the retake and managed to get me one within 3 weeks of the first exam. Thanks all!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fun day out for a CBT. We had Keith, really great guy. Took his time explaining everything and made sure we were all safe before we went on road. To anyone coming here, do yourself a favour and do your homework and read the highway code and have a good sense of road awareness. When you get here, listen to the instructor and you will have a great day. Would come again for further tests and would definitely recommend anyone for any sort of bike tests.

Fantastic experience: Passed 1st time on both my Mod 1 and Mod 2 for full license! I highly, highly recommend lightning for anyone considering a CBT or the DAS full license. I obtained my CBT in January and was hoping to upgrade to a full license, so I went for their DAS course for experienced riders. You get to train on very new bikes (MY24 CB750 Hornets which have lots of goodies and super fun engine; also comes very well protected with crash bars in case the unthinkable happens...). They are extremely transparent on prices (just look through the booking page) and they charge a very fair price in my opinion (all inclusive bike hire, insurance, instructor fees, test fees for 1xroad awareness course on a 125cc, 1x Mod1 training, 1x Mod1 test session, 1xMod 2 training and 1xMod2 test session, all for ~£850). Being a Honda approved riding school, you could also potentially benefit from Honda Rider Programmes if you train with them (I'm getting a whooping £500 off my next Honda bike..!) I had the pleasure of four different instructors throughout my time with them: Cole, Dave, Andrew and Marcus. Of course they have very different temperaments, but some things are consistent throughout: they all know how to teach what is required, and they all genuinely care about you and would go above and beyond to take care of you. They would be honest with you and scold you for being silly, but also sacrifice their breaks and lunch times just so you could have that extra round of practice to feel more confident. And they all have a cracking sense of humour . Andrew in particular was a father-like figure, and gave me profound advice on what to look out for in my next bike, as well as maintenance and repairs. I am not the quickest to open up to people, which I think was quite evident from my first two sessions... But over the course, I genuinely felt at ease with this lovely community of people, because they truly are an amicable bunch. Honourable mention goes to the admin team as well (Sean and Becky), who are meticulous with all the updates and making sure ahead of time that we know exactly where to be & at what time. They would also fight your corner and try secure the best exam slots where possible. Thank you again to everyone at Lightning - I wish you all nothing but success :)

Fantastic experience: I had a very good training experience with Cole, I found him informative and skillful. Best training I would say for a bike starter in the UK. Appreciate the effort. I would recommend but, before you go be prepared with highway code guys. One suggestion to the centre - better get a good shelter for trainees there is no proper classroom training room.

Fantastic experience: I've been with Lightning for the whole of my motorcycle journey from CBT to my full unrestricted A license. The experience and memories I have is something I'll never forget and wouldn't swap for anything. I passed my mod 1 and mod 2 in the same week on my first attempts despite being very nervous for both which is something I never thought I could do. Even though I'm proud to have my license, there is a part of me who will miss having sessions with Cole, Keith, Andrew and Marcus who made every session informative and the most fun. Fantastic experience: I just want to say I had an excellent experience! I was unsure on what course to book so I booked a rider assessment with Dave and he was very thorough and precise and told me exactly what I needed to hear. Suggested a course which I booked immediately because of how comfortable Dave made me feel. My first day of training was with Marcus who again was nothing short of excellent and really made me feel at ease and only provided precise constructive feedback. Within 3 days of the assessment I had already passed my Mod1. With how impressed I was with the instruction so far and my riding ability I asked for my Mod2 to be brought forward which the company happily complied with. They gave me an array of options of which I ended up going with what was the most convenient for myself. I did both my Mod2 training and test in one intensive day course. At this point I was training with Steve who was very conductive and really set me up for success! For the second half of the day I rode out with Jerry to my Mod2 test which I ended up passing due to the combined effort of all the instructors! Could not have done it without them!! Would recommend to anyone with any riding ability these are the guys for you!

Fantastic experience: Huge thanks to the whole team, I was trained by all/most instructors throughout my DAS course and each one was extremely informative and supportive and I couldn't have done it without them. I want to give a special thank you to Dave and Andrew. Dave went above and beyond to give me the necessary advice needed including a 40 minute call the night before my test in his own time, I doubt you'd find a instructor who cares more (don't tell him I said that) Andrew was my instructor on the day and he had a slightly different approach and his advice was concise and very helpful in a couple areas I was struggling with. If you're looking to get your bike license I'd highly recommend Lightning :)

Negative experience: This is the Reading branch Cons: unhygienic PPE smelly, wet and clearly unwashed jackets, gloves etc. Some of the instructors were very unprofessional. One said some racist remark about another student. Another had an annoyed style of teaching like he was annoyed all the time. It’s annoying when the office constantly pester you trying to change dates of your lessons to condense students on to one day. This is especially annoying when your road rider sessions is on the same day as someone who has there mod1 test as you have to sit and wait for them when you should be riding. So you don’t get what you paid for. Things could be managed a lot better Pros Some of the instructors were decent unlike the others I passed everything first time but I take most of the credit for that as there is not much the instructors need to teach especially if you have experience on the road already. I did my CBT a month ago and now I have my full cat A license

Fantastic experience: 10/10 service from my Trainer Marcus. Made sure I knew exactly what all my faults were and how I was able to correct them and work on them making me safe on the road while giving me the proper guidance and making it easy to follow his instructions. If your applying here I would recommend you personally ask for the trainer Marcus because you will learn a lot quicker and easier with his teaching.

Fantastic experience: I passed my full unrestricted test not too long ago with the help from Keith for mod1, Dave and the team for the mod2! I was riding a 125 for around a year and thanks to there help for brushing up my skills, ready for the tests I passed both first time. Fantastic experience: I passed my Mod 2 today with the help of Lightning Motorcycle Training. David’s instructions before getting on the road were really helpful. His approach of giving immediate feedback after every fault helped quickly rectify riding mistakes. The comprehensive report at the end of the session highlighted crucial areas of focus, which were essential in gaining confidence for the test. David was very friendly and always cracking jokes to calm nerves and make you feel comfortable.

Fantastic experience: This is the friendliest Motorcycle training I've been to. I did the CBT course. Adrian set us all at ease at the beginning of the day and went through some of the basics, before we worked with Cole, who was bright and friendly. He definitely went the extra mile with his explanations and I feel more equipped than ever for the road. All the training I experienced was delivered in a friendly manner. It would be fair to say the facilities on site are basic, but having done 3 CBT's over the years (maybe this time I'll do the next level up before my certificate expires) this is par for the course. My tip - bring layers when the weather is cold, and lunch and you should be all set.

I did the training last week, Dave has been very kind, informative, straightforward and understandable. He helped me improving on my weak points. The instructors were incredibly friendly, calming, and always knew how to lighten the mood with a well-timed joke. They made me feel completely at ease, took the time to point out my mistakes, and focused on areas where I needed improvement. Their hands-on approach and personalised guidance helped me feel confident and prepared. The office staff were equally impressive. They were extremely responsive and understood that I needed to complete both tests within a very short timeframe. I only gave them 9 random days that I was available, and they worked around my schedule seamlessly. Because Lightning has multiple sites, they were able to spread my training across two locations, allowing me to complete everything on time. Plus, I was able to take my test at the centre closest to home, which made the process even smoother. Their website is also very informative, offering a wealth of resources, including a page with extra lessons that provide additional help in learning to ride a motorcycle. It's a lot of reading, but incredibly valuable for anyone looking to improve their skills. I am incredibly thankful for all their support. Fantastic experience: This was my 5th CBT and yea I know I need to do my full test. But after being taught by Cole and the team on Friday 16-08 I have learned new techniques and consolidated my skills and was very glad I did the course. Determined to follow through and learn manual and take my test. Safe riding and a great experience. Shout out to other students as we learn so much from watching each other and Cole was endlessly encouraging which helped build confidence. Good value and a trusted school.

Fantastic experience: Guys I can’t recommend enough this company !!! I have done my A2 from Wembley brunch. I have done mod 1 with Dave, we were late cause of the horrendous traffic and he took out his own time and trained me. Such a lovely chap !! I have done my mod 2 with Keith, such an experienced teacher. Enjoyed the whole training session!!

Fantastic experience: Had a great day yesterday taking my CBT. Everything that i needed was there, including ‘drill Sargent’ Dave. Dave will get you thru it (if you are safe) even when you are worried you won’t. I was concerned, but he kept directing, and mentoring until i ace’d it. I was a total newbie, and passed manual cbt. Do it.

Fantastic experience: I honestly could not find a fault with this company and my experience with them over the last few weeks. CBT, Theory, Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests all passed in within 2 weeks, I could not be happier! Everyone from the staff in the office to the instructors at the center are incredibly helpful and patient. From the outset all of the course information is laid out very clearly with useful reminders on what to expect, bring along with you and timings etc. I initially felt that obtaining a motorcycle license felt daunting given the different tests and requirements, but lightning made it all clear early on. I'd like to especially call out 1 of my instructors Keith who I spent the most time out on the road with. He is probably the best teacher I've had for anything in my life, let alone motorcycle training. Experienced, knowledgeable, calm, patient and friendly, he made me feel completely relaxed at all times ensuring I am continuously learning and keeping safe. I must also give a special mention to Dave, I really enjoyed my time on the road with him too. Great sense of humor, knowledgeable and constantly giving tips on how to improve. I also like how he gave plenty of feedback whilst on the road so you are very clear on what you are doing well or not. Dave also went above and beyond to help me re-arrange my Mod 1 test and even come into work on his day off after an admin error in the office. It was all resolved quickly and professionally before I even had a chance to be annoyed and I really appreciated that. I did my CBT with Cole, who again was another fantastic instructor. He made the entire session fun and enjoyable whilst ensuring each and every one of us were keeping up with the lesson and frequently testing our knowledge throughout the day. The other instructors who I didn't get to work with directly or as much were always friendly and providing feedback on things they may have seen. If you are debating booking any course with these guys, I think you would have a hard job finding better! Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: I passed my A license a few months ago - I can't recommend these guys enough if you are London based. The instructors are great, the bikes are in top shape, and the test centre (Uxbridge) is a decent place to do your tests. They really care about you becoming a safe and competent rider, and my riding improved a lot during the course (I've been on and off on CBTs for 4 years). I'm still on my 125, but now in Latvia, heading up to Estonia later this week, and back to the UK at the end of the month

Fantastic experience: After researching different motorcycle traing centres I decided to undertake my training for a full cat A licence though lightning motorcycle training (Wembley branch) from day 1 they have been amazing, extremely helpful getting sessions booked in around my work commitments. I had the pleasure of being taught by 3 different instructors (Keith, Andrew, dan) all of them are great instructors, they are extremely knowledgeable and there training skills helped me to acheive a pass today. I cannot thank them enough. I would recommend lightning to anyone who is looking to do motorcycle training.

Fantastic experience: I cant recommend these guys enough. They are the best Motorcycle trainers you’ll ever get. Andrew, Keith And Dave were amazing they are so friendly yet so professional. Keith and Andrew trained me for Mod 1 and WOW they were so helpful and calm with me going over and refining every small detail of my riding and due to that i got a perfect clean pass. Dave escorted me to the test center on the day of my Mod 1 and just before he gave me some final tips that i had forgot and kept me calm by so i don’t stress and forget. I had gotten a Mod 2 test date earlier than the one booked and was hesitant to take it however Andrew spoke to me and explained how i’m ready and i should take the date and i did and i passed first time. The tips they give you aren’t just good for the test but if you listen and implement them in your everyday riding i can confirm you’ll be not only be a better rider but have tons more fun. I started on Tuesday and by Friday i had my A2 all thanks to them 3 so again thank you very much Keith, Andrew and Dave you guys were amazing. (P.s. now my bike looks so much better without the L plates)

With just one year of experience on a 125cc, I was able to go straight to an unrestricted license and larger bikes thanks to a few lessons with Lightning. They really improved my confidence and ability on bikes. I wouldn’t do DAS training anywhere else. Top tip - don’t rush that U-turn, take your time and counterbalance!

Fantastic experience: Did my mod 1 training with Keith gotta say these guys patience is unreal they’ll explain and go over things again and again untill you understand and get everything did my mod 2 lessons with David and Andrew very well and explaining everything to you clearly and going over your weak points and practicing again and again untill you get it right hats off to these guys helped me pass my test with the right training

Fantastic experience: Can't rate these guys highly enough. I worked with 4 different instructors across my DAS course. Marcus was superb on my initial road rider session giving lots of very helpful advice and guidance, which definitely contributed to later success. Carl delivered the module 1 training in a manner which just took all the pressure off and made it seem as easy as it in reality is. He adapted his advice to my own riding style rather than trying to change how I ride. Kieth led a great module 2 training session too, again, giving lots of helpful advice all of which was very useful, including getting to know the Uxbridge area. Andrew was great on the ride to the mod 2, and also great at keeping my mind occupied and preventing the nerves kicking it whilst waiting for my mod 2 test. Passed both first time, and it felt like a breeze with the confidence given from the high quality training. Would highly recommend them to anybody looking for motorcycle training.

Fantastic experience: I had an outstanding experience at LMT for my CBT motorcycle training. The training was absolutely perfect, and I was very happy with how everything went. The trainers, Mr. KETH and Mr. MARCUS, were exceptional. I am particularly thankful to Mr. KETH, who trained me very well and guided me through all the necessary points with great patience and expertise. He truly deserves five stars, and I wish I could give him more! Mr. MARCUS was also very professional and respectable, contributing significantly to the excellent training environment. Overall, LMT is an outstanding center. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality motorcycle training. They are truly excellent at what they do.

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT with Keith and he was absolutely exceptional! I have never ridden an automatic motorcycle before so I was quite nervous about it but Keith was so patient and thorough that he really put me at ease and made me believe I could actually do it! I had a wonderful day and I can see this school takes teaching seriously and that they have really high standards! Thank you so much! Fantastic experience: Got my full licence earlier this year thanks to Dickie, Andrew and Dave. At first I was a little bit thrown back at the fact that I had a different instructor for each session but I feel like that's what makes this place ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Experienced riders that different ways of teaching but the knowledge is 10/10. Also they can pick out the things you're doing wrong individually and take the time to help and fix each one. Have recommended friends and family to use them for cbt's and full licences.

Fantastic experience: Completed my A2 from the wembley guys, only 3 minors on mod2, best instructors I've met, patient and thorough, special mention to; Keith, Marcus and Dickie,(apologies I forgot the name of another instructor) lovely bunch of fellas. They're bikes are great bikes,A set of Honda cb300Rs for the A2 license takers (id recommend a look at the blue one, it needs its clutch cable inspected) (also Keith if you end up reading this, please send me the picture of me and the certificate, many thanks to all including those up in the office) Once again you cannot go wrong with lightning, best value and training around.

Fantastic experience: very good company, everyone is helpful and explains everything well. if you have never ridden a motorcycle, they will explain everything to you so that you understand everything the first time. I recommend it to everyone who wants to pass the CBT

Fantastic experience: Renew my CBT license here today. Had fun today understanding and refreshing highway codes and other motorcycle rules on the road. Marcus is our instructor for the day, our knight and shining armor as he ride bigger bike being an instructor. You will not get bored if you choose him as your instructor for the day. Lightning motorcycle training in wembley did great job from booking your date until you get your CBT license.

Fantastic experience: Passed A2 experienced course with Lightning motorcycle Wembley within 2 weeks, couldn't be happier with the instructors I got. Andrew, David and Dickie were absolutely brilliant and couldn't ask more from an instructor. They all covered everything I needed to know, and made the sessions feel very comfortable with the subtle jokes and instructions that were very clear which helped me pass. Thank you Lightning couldn't ask for anything more! :)

Fantastic experience: Had my CBT test on 26th of April 2024 which I passed with training instructor David overall I had a very good day and I learned more about motorcycles and how to ride one thank you David for everything.

Fantastic experience: Took my CBT today with Dave in Wembley and it was amazing!!! When I started I was struggling with my confidence and thought I wouldn’t make it but Dave was an absolute legend! He didn’t give up on me and was so patient, he kept giving me feedback and encouragement all throughout the day, honestly I can’t thank him enough, I improved drastically thanks to his guidance :) I recommend taking your CBT with him and will definitely come back for my full license :)

Fantastic experience: If you're seeking a school that can efficiently guide you towards obtaining a full license, this is undoubtedly the one to choose (Wembley). I completed the intermediate course here, and under the instruction of Dicky, Keith, and Dave, I passed all my tests on the first attempt. A special shout-out goes to the office team as well, who were not only flexible but also extremely helpful throughout my time with the school. One feedback I'd like to share is that one of the instructors who taught me isn't listed on the website so I could not name him.

Fantastic experience: I went with lighting in 2022 but just didn't have time to do the full DAS, they were kind enough to give me my CBT so I can renew and ride and get more experience. 2023 I managed to do my MOD 1 and it was a great lesson with Dickie, Marcus handled the MOD 1 Test day. MOD 2 was also with Dickie and he put me at ease and instructed me to do better. I didn't want to fail and he did inform me of all my errors rather than let me carry on. Love that I was able to pass my test and ride a full size motorbike.

Fantastic experience: On Friday night I decided to get a motorcycle license after my old non-uk one had expired, so I booked a CBT for Monday at Lightning's Wembley centre. Of all the training organisations, close to me, this was the only one that didn't require me to have my own helmet and gloves. Keith was the instructor for the course and was just great - very friendly, knowledgeable and patient. There were only two of us on the course, so we may have had more individual attention because of that. It was a good experience and a bit of a refresher on motorcycling. I especially enjoyed the on-road section and being back on a motorcycle. My next step is the theory test and then back to Lightning for the appropriate DAS.

Fantastic experience: Passed my A2 licence with lightning motorcycle training. I did my mod 1 training and test with Andy in Wembley. Not only did he prepare me for the test but he also gave me a lot of real life in sight into motorcycling and thanks to his help I flew through mod 1 with no minors. I did my mod 2 training and test with Karl in Oxford. He was quick to pick up on my faults and correct them. He had a lot of confidence in my riding which gave me the confidence to pass my mod 2 in Oxford which I’ve never been to before in my life. The guys in the office who I only ever spoke to on the phone were always really helpful. If you want an earlier test date they will try to arrange that for you. If you want to test at a different location they will try to arrange that. They are always working behind the scenes to make everything easier for you. Will see you guys again for my Cat A licence next year
