Negative experience: Not a great lesson! I contacted 1Driving recently to book driving lessons. I explained I wasn't a new driver, but that I was a nervous driver, looking for someone patient and experienced. That's not what I got. Booking was OK. I had to chase quite a bit but that's completely understandable with a busy business. The comms on the road was often unclear, there was lots of distracting chatter, the phone in the car kept pinging messages onto the sat nav. There was a lack of guidance, or information upfront. I'd get very little notice if I needed to turn right / left. Or feedback when I should have done something differently. I was taken to a dual carriageway and multiple complex roundabouts on my first lesson without warning. It felt rushed and dangerous and not considered. It was definitely not in line with asking for patience. I felt uneasy. I asked how long the instructor had been teaching for and it was a year and 4 students had passed. Although the instructor did say that they don't advise anyone goes for a lesson until ready. The positives are that the instructor was really positive and seemed kind. I was shown some helpful instructors in a driving instructor manual relating to mini roundabouts and reassured that the instructor was there to support and would intervene if needed. The instructor seemed quite knowledgeable, but definitely quite new. I contacted Asif at 1Driving who agreed that I shouldn't have gone to those places in my first lesson. He was respectful and heard me out. He apologised and said he'd arrange more training. He did offer to find me a different instructor to use on my next lesson. I noted that I would be trying a different company because I had specifically asked for someone experienced and patient. I requested a refund, but was denied.

Thank you to Adil, as he did an incredible job at getting me test ready in a fairly short amount of time; if you’re booked for Hendon/Mill Hill or any surrounding area, I would definitely recommend Adil for lessons. He was calm, patient and taught me everything I needed to know plus more! He took me around loads of different test routes (one of the routes we went over many times was the one I got on my test!) and he knew the area inside and out. Fantastic experience: Wow! I needed to arrange a driving test quickly - Asif gave me a great set of choices - i picked one and it was booked within 30 mins of me completing their form (and paying). I was (obviously) worried that it could be a scam and I'd lose my money and test booking but it's completely legit - all showing correctly on DVSA website etc!

Fantastic experience: Adil was a fantastic driving instructor and very accommodating of my schedule. We had a short time between my start date and test date and he prepared me really well in that time period. He has excellent tips, easily applied techniques that any new driver could pick up, and a focus on the routes most common to my test centre. I passed my very first test and I would credit that to Adil's patience and skill as an instructor.

Fantastic experience: I would strongly recommend 1Driving school. I have 25 years experience in driving and recently relocated to UK. As I could not convert my lisence on technicality, I decided to give my test again. One would assume that as an experienced driver it will be easy, however, taking lessons was a wise decision. Not only did Mohammad Zamir patiently take me through the rules in UK that are unique, but spend time refining my weaknesses (roundabouts :)) Also focused our lessons to unlearn some lazy habits picked along the way. They were EXTREMELY responsive, answered all of my questions, were patient, and when I was ready to book my lessons they were so accommodating and made it happen fast. Negative experience: Very unprofessional, he literally made me waste time and money and now have to do everything again he guaranteed he was going to get me a driving test before my theory expired but waited until the last min to do it and didn’t find nothing, when a month prior I was asking him to book it just in case to not do everything last min. But he literally said that 100% he was going to find a test to not worry about it so I relied on him, don’t rely on him he can’t be trusted with your driving test especially if you’re theory expiring soon.

Fantastic experience: I took a 11h intensive and passed my manual driving test yesterday. Asif gives you a relaxed atmosphere so you can improve in your driving and enjoy the road. He also let you space to do it your way but right for the test. Giving you feedbacks on what you need to improve.

Negative experience: Unreliable. If you have a test booked soon and you won’t pay for an intensive forget it. Asif will promise you he’ll book you a lesson but it’s just a continuous waste of time. Have to say they do know what they are talking about but for the price you’d expect a consistency that just isn’t there.

Due to a negative experience elsewhere i was quite anxious about learning and being able to pass during the current pandemic but my instructor couldn't have made it any easier. There was no stress with lesson times or him being late, he gave full dedication to me passing and completely eradicated the stress of booking my test! Such a pleasant experience!
