Fantastic experience: Well - what can I say! These guys are fabulous! I had really struggled with passing the Mod 1 on the dreaded u-turn but Andy and Wayne were dedicated and patient and boosted my confidence to the point that I felt confident to take and pass both my Mod 1 and 2. I thoroughly enjoyed the training and the camaraderie shown by all of the instructors! Thank you once guys - big bike purchased and lots of motorbike adventures to look forward to in the New Year!

Fantastic experience: Wayne and the team at Riverview are spot on, down to earth proper bikers who offer exceptional motorcycle instructing. I'm writing this after completing my CBT, Mod 1 and MOD 2 all first time round after being coached at Riverview. I can't fault my experience, great set of instructors, all passionate about safety and you can have a laugh with them whilst you're at it. Will be recommending to others.

Fantastic experience: Procrastinating has lead me to take 3 cbt courses with Riverview my first was with Wayne the owner, it was a good day out. Wayne is clear with his instructions and he is not afraid to tell you where you are going wrong. His main goal, as all staff, is to make sure you have the best chance of passing whatever test you are taking. Wayne is not shy of drilling the information you need into you, he may seem strict at first but that is what you are paying for! It's better to realise the dangers of riding a motorbike, and the severity of the mistakes we make could be life threatening when in a real world scenario. When you stop for a break, Wayne is friendly and easy to chat with. Any questions you have he is happy to answer and he will support you with any confusion. My second CBT was with a young woman, I can't remember her name, but! Again it was a good day out, she was friendly and informative. Whilest practicing, she noticed something that I was doing wrong, she told me it wouldn't mark me down on my test, but it's better to get it right before picking up bad habits. She ensured I was confident and that I was corecting those mistakes before leaving the training centre. My third CBT was with Jay, once again it was another great day out. Jay is informative and friendly, he is good at picking up on the little details that you need help with. If you are struggling with anything don't feel afraid to mention it, he's happy to repeate any steps or explain the information again if you need it. I was struggling with the road markings on the practice site, and managed to confuse myself multiple times Jay was non judgemental and he was happy to explain the scenario and walk me through it again. The instructions he gave on the road were brilliant! He will alert you of hazards and directional changes with a calm manner, leaving you with plenty of time to prepare or correct yourself without panicking. Overall, Riverview is the best place you could go for motorcycle training and tests. The staff are suportive, empathetic and motorvating. The prices are customer centred and affordable, as most places in, and around Southport/ Preston are 40% - 70% more expensive. I have not found anywhere cheaper or that even matches the price with Riverview. The staff at Riverview ensure that before signing anyone off, or marking them as a pass, know how to drive safely and have been given the knowledge that could save their lives. I am happy I found the right place to take my CBT 3 times each time I have taken it I have been given clear instructions as to what to do next in order to get my full bike licence, this time I will! Fantastic experience: Went to Riverview on recommendation to do my CBT again after 40 years and to ride a manual geared bike for the first time! . Instruction from Graham was clear, thorough and comprehensive. Although I need more time on a bigger geared bike and was nervous, I was still able to complete my CBT on an automatic with the excellent, patient instruction and on road coaching I received. Fantastic experience: I have recently done my CBT with Riverside after never using a bike in my life. After a full day of excellent coaching I was confident to get out on the road in the afternoon. My instructor was great and made to feel safe and competent. I will be back to do my direct access. Definitely would recommend for anyone, especially if you are new to bikes.

Safety is the focus and they gave plenty of tips during the road ride and throughout the day to get me more familiar with the bike and what to look out for. Fantastic experience: I had never had any previous experience on a bike before attending Riverview. From the first contact with Wayne and completing my CBT I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Not only to get me to a stage were I can ride a bike but also to be able to do it safely and with confidence. I completed my CBT, Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests with riverview and I have to say that Wayne really goes out of his way to make sure you are safe and ready for your tests. It was harder than I initially thought but by the end of it all I wouldn’t have done it as quickly without the fantastic training and advice I received from Wayne and his team. Cheers guys!!! Fantastic experience: My experience with Riverview was amazing They got me started with my lessons straight away. Wayne was amazing to have as an instructor he’s calm which I think are very important traits to have as an instructor. He would get the information across to me in a very simple and clear way. The lessons themselves were very entertaining because Wayne is very easy to talk to and get along with. As enjoyable as the lessons are, Wayne still makes sure we cover a lot in the lesson. I really recommend Riverview for anyone who wants to learn how to ride the motorbike in a quick productive and enjoyable manner.

Fantastic experience: My ambition was to get my A license in preparation for Dave Day. CBT and theory done by the end of April and I was chomping at the bit and looking for a DAS school. I’ve had a car driving license for 32 years but the only time I have ever ridden a motorbike was a LexMoto 125 during my CBT. Had a chat with Wayne at Riverview and he explained the detail to complete an assessment on a 500/650cc and about the Mod1 / Mod2 tests. After the assessment with Wayne I moved onto the Kawasaki z650 with Andy. What an awesome team at Riverview! The banter mixed with discipline and safety at the forefront is top class. I learned every single hour I rode the bike and can’t thank them enough. My Mod1 was in Blackburn in torrential rain, got through that after trusting the super testing facilities. Onto Mod2… spending 3-4hrs with Andy for 3 days got me ready for Mod2. Taking this in Southport I failed 300m from the end of the test as a lady decided to run across the road in front of me and I should have stopped and not swerved out of her way! Ah well, back to the grind. Wayne did a great job getting me booked onto another and today I passed my Mod2 to get my A license. Unfortunately I missed Dave Day but did not miss going out on my Tracer 7 GT to the Lakes straight after I passed. Can’t thank you guys enough, I had great time, lots of laughs, heard great stories, in a relaxed atmosphere with some incredible biking knowledge and skill in the team. Thank you Wayne for supporting me and instructor Andy extraordinaire for his pearls of wisdom and scary bangs when I left a gap turning into junctions!! :) Fully recommended by me for any rider ability to achieve success at Riverview Rider Training. Now for some fun on my new Yamaha Tracer 7 GT! Thanks!

Fantastic experience: I renewed my CBT with Graeme today and it was a fantastic experience. Graeme made sure we felt comfortable and safe on the bikes and was always checking in to see if we had any issues, and was quick to offer help when he saw that we needed it. The mix of theoretical learning and riding practice was spot on. Highly recommend this course if you want to learn how to ride a motorcycle the right way!

Fantastic experience: I renewed my CBT with them and then completed my A2 licence. The instructors, bikes, training area and equipment were perfect. Pricing was also very fair. The instructors were very knowledgeable, experienced and a pleasure to be around. Because my theory expired soon I had less than a month to get my licence, they helped me through all the training and passing both tests. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

Wayne and the other instructors are all great telling you and sometimes demonstrating what needs doing very clearly so you know exactly what to do when it comes to test days. Fantastic experience: Did my CBT with Graeme after 7 years of not riding since my last CBT and only ever rode my R125, he advised me I should get straight in to my DAS which I did. My schedule was tight due to no holidays left at work. I did my 4hr lessons on Saturdays, my first with Mark who started me off on a Honda 500cc to get me use to a bigger bike. My 2nd and 3rd was with Wayne on a kawasaki 650cc. All training was spot on I couldn't of been given more effort in making sure I was ready for my tests. By the 3rd Saturday Wayne had booked both my Mod1 and Mod2 for the following week where I was now off for school holidays which worked out great. I have now today passed my Mod2! I have really enjoyed my time. Everyone is friendly and the banter is spot on. The instructors wants you to come, be safe, learn and pass. I travelled from Blackburn to here off word of mouth, didn't even look for any closer as this place was sold to me on banter alone. Can't deal with stick in the muds. If you want a laugh, to feel relaxed, learn some great knowledge and pass! This is the place. Now all I need is a bike Thank you to you all!

Fantastic experience: I found the CBT with Graeme really enjoyable and on point. We focused on very practical and road safety elements. The practical riding proved a natural follow on from the theory and yard practice. Graeme was an excellent instructor and his experience showed. My son enjoyed it too.

The ride at the end again was informative with helpful tips and pointers however also felt as if I was out for a ride with mates. Highly recommend!!

Both Ed and Graeme were wonderful teachers and a delight to be around, and you can feel they are passionate about training people, and are not just in it for the money. Fantastic experience: Excellent training school. These guys know how to get you riding safely. When you feel confident enough they will then book you on your test with no pressure and at your own pace. They have great facilities with all the safety gear needed if you don't have your own. Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Wayne and his team. Did my CBT with him about 2 years ago and have just completed my direct access with him today. Thanks to Wayne I passed both my mod 1 and 2 on the first attempt after only 1 lesson before each. Super friendly atmosphere, easy to get along with and very knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: *Edit* Can't seem to add a second review so I thought I would update this one. In the past 3 months I have gotten to test standard and have passed my module 2 licence today (06/06/24 so 3 months) allowing me to ride with no restrictions. This is thanks to Wayne, his team and their stellar work. Please note that unlike my previous training school Wayne was more interested in my riding being safe and competent than just learning the route for the Module 2 test and as such when it came to the test I was well prepared for any issues that would arise during the test. Would recommend if you want to actual instruction rather than someone how wants you off their books and gone. Cheers Wayne, Graeme and all the team. Fantastic experience: I just finished my CBT with Graham today. His patience, calm demeanor, and collected approach are just a few of the qualities he possesses. As a beginner, I know some instructors might get frustrated, but Graham was incredibly supportive and helpful.

Wayne has been great throughout, a down to earth sensible human who provides great input and loves a laugh along the way. I've always felt at home at Riverview and enjoyed the chat as much as the riding. I'd 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a CBT or DAS who values honesty and people with a genuine interest in you doing well.

Fantastic experience: I completed my Direct Access Scheme (DAS) with Riverview. Despite being a beginner and not the most skilled rider initially.Wayne and the team got me there in the end. Now I have my licence and I am a confident rider, I highly recommend Wayne and the entire team at Riverview.

Fantastic experience: All the team are great at training, honest and down to earth, the bikes are good to learn on and the tests were booked quickly and efficiently when you're ready. Would recommend for CBT and all the way to DAS.

Fantastic experience: Living in the Isle of Man where there is currently only one instructor offering CBT courses (if it is possible to get in touch with them), I alternatively looked for a course in the North West of England that was in easy reach of Liverpool or Heysham ports. Based on reviews I’d seen on the internet, I approached Riverview which turned out to be a good decision. From the start, dealing with Wayne who helped to check my licensing requirements, it was easy to book a course at a competitive price using their online platform. The course itself was a full day, including theory, and practical training before completing a 2 hour on the road ride under supervision. Instructors Mark, Wayne and Ed, were clear, knowledgeable and adapted to suit for each course participant to allow for different levels of ability, riding or driving experience, and confidence. The course is based at a purpose built semi rural location, and the school has its own classroom, with Bikes, scooters and mopeds available for hire. They also have a good stock of helmets, clothing and gear which can be used on the day if you don’t have your own. All in all, it was a great course to attend, which helps older riders like me get on the road safely, and one I recommend to anyone and particularly if you’re in the Isle of Man, with limited options looking to get your CBT completed if you have the required licence.

Fantastic experience: I have passed my Mod 2 with the company in August. Very happy with the staff especially with Wayne who helped me with the completion of my learning journey. Fantastic experience: I started my training with Mark at Riverview and undertook my CBT renewal at the end of September. I hadn’t ridden in 4 years but mark was great. Patient, understanding and extremely knowledgable. Fast forward to my DAS. Wayne was superb. Great communication and quick to accommodate my needs as I work shifts. First class instruction from Andy H, Wayne and Steve had me passing Mod 1 and Mod 2 first time after just 3 weeks. And that included my work commitments. The instruction is first class, the set up and service is first class and the banter is even better!!!! Honestly, if you want professional, straight to the point, expert instruction: That will teach you to ride a bike safely, look no further. These guys are the absolute best. Thank you all, it’s been an absolute pleasure.

Fantastic experience: My son did his cbt here. Very good instructors who explained to my also where he could continue to develop is riding prior to doing his A2 licence. The bikes are in good condition and it has good rest facilities plus loads of gear for trainees to use. Even though it's quite far from us to travel to, he will definitely be continuing his training at riverview. And we will also recommend to any prospective new riders.

Fantastic experience: Have just completed a cbt renewal with Mark at River veiw. On the plan to do my direct access. Best place I've done my cbt at out of three that I've used. Fantastic experience: Mark, Graham and Ed have all been fantastic instructors. Very happy with the training I've received and now I'm ready to get out on a 125cc bike and I know how to be safe on it.

Fantastic experience: Had a great CBT with Wayne a couple of weeks ago..... forgot to post a review, sos Wayne. Total newbie novice to loving it in a day. New bike is ordered should be riding next week. Will definitely return to Riverview next year to have a crack at the full licence. Just returned to Wayne & Riverview for direct access. Great training and advice again to help me through Mod 1 and Mod 2 with no fuss. Better still I learned so much abot riding safely on the road and enjoyed every minute of it. If you are thinking of getting on 2 wheels do it prolperly, come to Riverview you won't regret it.
