Fantastic experience: Roadcraft Nottingham came highly recommended and I can see why. I went from a 1 hour taster session in October to a full license in December. Their training is tailored to your individual needs and is delivered to such a high standard. Their training goes beyond the minimum requirements to get you to pass your test, but also gives you the skills to ensure you can be a forward thinking competent rider whilst keeping yourself safe. Huge thanks to Rich for the beginner sessions, Ben for the CBT training and getting me through all of my tests first time, John and Leanna for the excellent mod 1 and mod 2 training and confidence building and Russ for the advice. I highly recommend Roadcraft Nottingham. Truly a 5 star service.

Fantastic experience: Roadcraft took me from never having sat on a bike before, through my CBT and then passing my Mod 1 + 2 first time. I cannot recommend them highly enough. From Rich taking me on my taster lesson to Ben, John, Leanna and Russ helping me on with my lessons, all the staff will teach you to ride safely and with confidence on the road. I really liked the system of having lessons with all the instructors, they are all great at communicating information to you and each lesson you can feel you are making progress. If you are thinking about learning just book a taster session and see if it's for you, I'm really glad I did.

Fantastic experience: Very lovely people who make you feel welcomed from the second you walk in. I did a taster session (my first ever experience of riding a motorcycle) and a CBT and they both went so smoothly and feels like you're riding for fun. Fantastic experience: I cannot rate Roadcraft highly enough. Right off the bat, you can tell these guys are not out to take as much money as possible by pushing you through a fast track course, or simply training you to pass your test. They pace the training to your personal progress (which actually saved me money over the intense courses!) and train you to ride as well and as safely as you can. Their training goes way beyond that required to pass DAS and puts you in a great position to develop on those skills after receiving your license. Special thanks go to Ben and Leanna - their attention to detail and positivity are second to none. Russ is always happy to advise on anything riding or bike related with great enthusiasm. Fantastic experience: TLDR; if you want to be set for success on your motorcycle journey, then you won’t find a better school Longer version; Always wanted to ride, but never had the confidence (or maturity) to do it. Now I’m older and hopefully wiser, I decided to go for it. In Nottingham we are extremely lucky to have Roadcraft, you truly feel part of a community, they are friendly, resources aplenty with two fab YouTube channels which I would watch religiously in between lessons. Everyone’s journey and competency is different but if you’re wondering how long it can take, it took me about 3 months from CBT > passing my Mod 2 and that is with about 1 lesson a week If you’re looking for a 4 day intensive type of experience this is not the place for you. But if you want to be a better and safer rider you should consider roadcraft. You can learn to ride a motorbike in about an hour, but over the last 3 months I gained confidence, competence and really understood what to look out for, how vulnerable I am as a rider and how to be safer. Fantastic experience: I am a little late in writing this review, but I booked into Roadcraft for an initial taster session and CBT. The taster session was a great starting point for me, as someone who has only ridden a bike once it meant I could master the basics and feel confident enough for a CBT. Thank you Richard. The CBT was honestly an incredible experience from beginning to end. I can not thank John and Bill enough for making me feel comfortable from the beginning. I was a little nervous going into it, being a young, female, first time rider. I was also the only female in the group on the day. They could not have made me feel more welcome and at ease. They made the day fun and were well and truly up for banter and to make the overall experience a good time. I can’t recommend them enough for anyone, especially including anyone who is a little apprehensive about their CBT, this is 100% the place to be. Fantastic experience: Went in today for my 1 hour taster session, and very happy with the service - all of the staff are really friendly, and as a complete newbie I found my instructor (Richard) very thorough in his explanations. I definitely need more practice though before I book in for my CBT, though that's a me-issue, but I will be back :)

I turned up for a taster lesson in April and passed my full Licence yesterday, I was 50 and had never ridden a motorbike before, I never thought I would be able too! they have this down to a tee, from the organising too the great instructors. can honestly say I've enjoyed every minute and will miss the team there. Fantastic experience: I recently did my cbt with Roadcraft, I was really nervous but all the team made me feel at ease. Ben and John were my instructors on the day and did a great job at keeping me calm and reassured. Whilst doing the cbt they explained everything with much detail. Once on the bikes they were very patient and made sure everyone was confident and safe before heading out onto the road. I highly recommend people to go to Roadcraft for CBT, lessons or full licence as they are very professional and knowledgeable, whilst also very welcoming. And it's clear to see they are a great team, more like a family. Thank you so much for the amazing experience and I will definitely come back in the future.

Fantastic experience: The environment is friendly and fun but firm which is needed for this sort of stuff, if you are wanting to find lessons or do a cbt I’d have to say that this place is the best as all the staff are willing to help and get you to where you want to be

Roadcraft is 10/10 when it comes to riding schools, ethos is great, staff are all great, instruction is great, as is the equipment and the guidance given. Special mention to both Ben & Leanna. Both are fantastic instructors, not only do they teach you how to ride, but they teach you how to ride well and safely, sharing constant golden nuggets of information and doing all with an element of humour! I said I wanted to buy an adventure and confidence and that is exactly what they have provided. Fantastic experience: I truly believe the training technique at Roadcraft is unparalleled. The instructors were professional, patient and always very friendly. I always looked forward to my lessons, confident that I would receive accurate instruction while we were out and tailored, thorough feedback to take home after each session. The methods they use for delivering training feel expertly cultivated from years of experience. I completed my CBT to Mod 2 at Roadcraft through direct access and feel like I walked away with more than just a certificate; I gained the know-how for safe and proper riding techniques.

Fantastic experience: Couldn't recommend these guys enough. I did all of my training with them from CBT to Mod 2 and honestly they are brilliant. Not only are they teaching you how to pass your test but more importantly be a safe and well rounded motorcyclist once you're on the road. I was taught by 3 instructors and all of them were exceptionally friendly and helpful and never felt that they were nagging me only that they wanted me to be the best rider I could be. Really helpful in finding me a test when it came to it and in advising me about bikes and everything else. Seriously couldn't speak more highly of everyone who works there!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing experience from beginning to end, Russ was great giving me information and advice from the beginning, all the instructors are very knowledgeable and always with a smile on their faces!

Fantastic experience: I took lessons here at Roadcraft for my A2 license, and my experience could not have been better. I had already been riding a 125 on my CBT, so I came in thinking I'm a great rider, but after my first lesson they showed me how terrible I actually was. I had to let go of my ego a bit, switch to a positive, learner mindset and started putting some effort in. If you do that, the instructors will really look out for you, and you will progress quickly and have fun at the same time! Leanna will tell you to watch her videos. Do it! Learn from them. It's going to save you a lot of time and money. It probably would've taken me twice as many lessons in total if I hadn't watched them. They also have some really really great bikes. I did most of my lessons on a 2023 CB500 and my final lesson and mod 2 exam on the 2024 Hornet 500. So you're not only getting expertly taught, but you also get to brand new, top quality bikes. In 2 years time, I'll come back to do my full A license

Fantastic experience: Fantastic riding school, would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn. The instructors skillfully assess when it is time to move to a bigger bike or book a test, with no dragging out lesson after lesson if they aren't required. Also, highly recommend the Module 1 Practice session at the test centre to go through a mock test and settle the nerves. Thank you all for your training!

Fantastic experience: LOOOVELY MIRRORS! Absolutely fantastic training school. Decided I wanted a challenge to see if I could obtain my full A licence having no prior motorbike knowledge (a pedal bike was about as far as I ever got). Made contact with Russ at Roadcraft and he put me in for a 1 hour taster and that was me hooked. Booked a CBT straight away and had an absolute blast, even if I did look like a clown on a Honda Grom. I couldn't care less as I was having too much fun! The trainers are keen to push your limits and keep you developing. I started off on a 125cc however I soon moved up to the big boy bikes. I did my MOD1 on a Honda 650 and my MOD2 on the Honda Hornet. P.S. the Hornet is better . They have a really good way of getting you ready for your MODs without you realising. A bit of road riding here to fine-tune your checks and positioning, and a bit of in-between the cones in car parks ready for the MOD1. Overall it took me about 4 months from complete novice to full A licence holder. I passed everything first time with the skills they gave me. The title of this review is aimed at one of the trainers, who complimented my mirror checks until I started checking them just for a compliment, he knows who he is . Sorry for making it weird . Thanks Ben, Russ, Leanna, John, Rich, and the rest of the team. You were all fab. Very calm and accommodating. If you want to be able to ride a motorbike and are worried you don't know one thing about them, give Russ a bell and him and his team will absolutely get you road-ready in no time 23rd Jan 2024 - Theory 5th March 2024 - CBT 8th May 2024 - MOD 1 24th May 2024 - MOD 2 Cheers all!

Fantastic experience: Excellent riding school. Each instructor has their own teaching style providing well rounded training - all do it with good humour making each lesson a laugh. They book you in for tests as soon as they know you’re ready (often before you know yourself) and provide plenty of mock tests in preparation. It was genuinely a pleasure to learn with them. Apologies for taking 10 months to write this.

Fantastic experience: I have used roadcraft for my cbt, A2 and A license training, i passed first time. There instructors are very polite, patient and professional. Fantastic experience: I am a fair way into my lessons with Roadcraft and thought it was time to leave a review. I had trained with a different school previously, and I found them overly aggressive, impatient, and critical in a NON-CONSTRUCTIVE way. Do not get me wrong, the Roadcraft instructors will be critical - and that is exactly what I pay them for. But when they criticise, it is done in a highly CONSTRUCTIVE way, in good spirits and in a manner by which you LEARN. All the instructors are kind, genuinely caring and have such a fun way of engaging with trainees, I am in awe of their biking and teaching expertise, they really are top of their game. Again, please do not think they will not tell you off when you do something very stupid - they will. But this is also a highly valued part of my learning process. And don't forget going out on a powerful bike is a serious business, lives are at risk - instructors, trainees and others. They will not allow you to ride a big bike unless you can prove yourself to be able and safe. As far as I am concerned their opinion, rather than my own, is the yardstick for me being safe or not. This is a genuine review - and I cannot commend Roadcraft enough to anyone looking to start, or improve, their bike riding journey. One of the instructors said to me "We teach you to be as safe a rider as we can, in the time that we have you with us". I think that sums Roadcraft up - they don't just get you "through" a test, they make you the best that you can be, at your particular stage. Edit - Passed Mod 1 last week, with no re-attempts of any maneuvers (with the speed camera assessment), and passed Mod 2, with no advisories, today! Yay! So happy! Thank you Russ, Leanna and Ben. Its been a lovely journey, I will miss my lessons with you guys.

Fantastic experience: Would recommend, didn't muck about, returned 5 yrs after my A2 restricted to do my full license and within a week I didn't 2 refresher lessons and both my mod 1 and 2. Didn't try and hold me back for more lessons and expense than was nessicary while also making sure I was ready for my tests.

I've even just gone with general issues with my bike and Russ and the others have helped me get things sorted. Fantastic experience: If you wanna learn to ride a bike in Nottingham then Roadcraft is the only place to go. From a taster to a full license in 15 weeks Russ and his team pushed me which made the process much quicker then i expected. They have a nice selection of modern bikes to learn on too so you get good insights into how bikes differ and your own tastes. For any type of person or experience this is the school for you, each member of the team brings their own dynamic and experience which together forms a fantastic foundation to learn from. Not only that, Roadcraft is a family - the humour, banter, patience and care here is like no other. I was genuinely sad when I passed to not be returning to Roadcraft the next week! Fantastic experience: I did my CBT for a 50cc moped on 28/11/23 and honestly was the smoothest the best service was offered. The whole day was tailored to supporting me and my fellow trainee and whatever we needed to progress was provided. My instructor could not have been more supportive and I must say that his patience is admirable. Would recommend roadcraft 12/10 to anyone wanting to progress their learning on motorcycles. Fantastic experience: This is a BIG thank you to Leanna and Russ at Roadcraft Nottingham for guiding me in obtaining my Enhanced Rider Scheme certificate yesterday (01/11/2023). Leanna took me out for an assessment 6 weeks ago and after a two hour assessment on a nice sunny day full of advice and humour made some recommendations of my techniques for me to brush up on. So I had to put some work in. Yesterday Russ took me out for a three hour assessment again humour was abundant, gave me some pointers, got me wet, blown about in the Derbyshire hills and bounced around on some dastardly roads and at the end gave me the good news that I had passed the assessment. I received a certificate from the DVSA. Great feeling of self satisfaction knowing you’re never too old to learn - and nobody knows everything. If you are considering doing the ERS (irrespective of how long you’ve been riding) accept the words of guidance in the manner they are meant (it’s not criticism). You’ll have the satisfaction that you’ve expanded your skills and have a sustificat to prove it!!

Fantastic experience: I got recommended by a friend and now I cannot recommend them enough, I’ve gone from zero riding experience to feeling confident. I did the taster, cbt then onto lessons. Everyone there is always willing to offer advice, tips and a laugh. Shout out to Ben he’s always calm even when you f up and always full of knowledge.

Fantastic experience: Truly a fantastic school. Staff were amazing, John and Richard did my CBT with me and they were great. John was supportive and calm but lighthearted and fun which really helped with the pressure and helped me relax into what I was doing. Really professional and I cannot recommend them enough. I very much wanted to get my CBT but have been pretty nervous to peruse it and everyone was so positive and kind to me even when mistake happened. I will be perusing my full licence and I would do it with no one else but Roadcraft. Thank you for all of your kindness support and fun!

Negative experience: Russ is the type of guy who will assume on your behalf then take all his personal notes as facts. Every business has good reviews and when a business very rarely makes a small mistake they don’t mind one bad review, apparently it makes them look good. You might have 300 plus reviews with 5 stars it doesn’t make this bad review irrelevant it actually goes to show sometimes even Russ can make a mistake. Pushing sales at 7am never heard of this type of spam calls so early just so you can make £15 before sunrise. Russ is an old man who should retire at this point. You can really see the stress and how miserable Russ really is on his face and hair line. He only said no to me because he gets a kick out of people who has to go spend more money to get where they already are I know this just put a smile on your face, but the joke is really on you. Me and you both know that you threw away my progress based on nothing but misunderstanding and your ego, and between us both we know you’re willing to make me look bad as it’s your business and your personality your trying to hide here. I remember how much you mocked the poor polish guy that day after he left but that will be on your next review, you should never open your mouth about customers in front of customers as it shows how unprofessional you really are anyone can look good online but in person Russ is the type who enjoys judging people and only taking on people who suits him. I still blame Russ for not sending me a reminder for my appointments but was quick to ring me at 7am to sell a slot that no one wanted as it was short notice next day because you had invested around £14 in advance and had no one to book it with you, so you thought of rushing it through with me. Dvsa has availability online for anyone to see, the day your referencing for this booking that I missed was never available online so that’s another lie Russ, I’m aware of how it works, motorcycle schools like yours purchases most available dates from dvsa in-advance so that you can give them to your customers. I looked everyday for free dates none were available till October. Furthermore Russ likes to waste time and money as long as it’s not his, you wasted my time by telling me to come back in October as that’s the only time you had availability, weeks go by and I came to see if any dates available for this year or next year as he told me there will be dates available in October, to my surprise he just wanted to tell me face to face that he can’t help me so he can get a buzz out of it or something but I made sure I let him know how much of a lil man he really is as he had nothing to say when he realised I’m not a fool also the joke is really on him. Russ you really not worth a second in my watch but you will loose some time and money out your life as you definitely was in the wrong here and yes it will be karma as it has always worked against those who lied about me or made up something to create negative out of nothing. This meant a lot to me and you knew that so I did approach you being the bigger person and accepting anything you said until you accused me of saying things I didn’t so I spoke back as it’s a discussion but no apparently it’s just like a school you have to shut up and listen and do as your told like a child, at this point I was frustrated as I did everything the right way but poor miserable Russ had made his mind up weeks in advanced based on a 7am phone call that I was not good enough. You should really leave all your problems at home. Customer knows best! Would love to hear what lie your about to make next to make you and your business look good, every business always has something to say to cover their backs but it doesn’t mean your telling the truth you obviously will make the best lie you ever told. I’m just disappointed because Russ literally treated me as if I was a criminal and a lier all because I missed an appointment pathetic excuse. Now cover your back by saying I lied and tell them it’s 7.20am not 7 as if that makes any difference. Treat people how they treat you, so I did ; )

Fantastic experience: My experience from start to finish has been brilliant, the guys are honest and fair with feedback and give you all the tools you need to become a better rider. After the first few lessons I could see how I was improving and my confidence grew from there with each lesson. I am over the moon to have achieved my full A licence however I will miss the lessons as all of them were enjoyable. Leanna has done the majority of my lessons and is an absolute credit to roadcraft. I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor.

Fantastic experience: Just passed my full A-license with these guys after about a third of a year of training every two weeks. I couldn't have asked for a better organised, more professional school. I had intended to ride with Loughborough school of Motorcycling but after several weeks of them not returning my calls I decided to commute to Nottingham instead. I immediately found them to be highly organised and well trained instructors. I was surprised how critical they were of my riding at first as I had been riding my 125 for a few months, but it was this critical advice that helped me progress and ultimately concluded with very few comments. My only suggestion is that John, one of the 4/5 instructors that you'll rotate through could be more critical as I got the least feedback from him. You'll be on a decent Honda CB125 for the largest part of your training but this was honestly the best way to learn as it is significantly harder to control with precision. Once passed this stage, there are a wide array of exciting 2017-2022 naked bikes to choose to ride, including a two MT-07s, a CB650 and a CB500f. Ultimately I passed both my mod1 and mod2 first time and within a month of each other once I was told I was ready (as opposed to the 4-5 times I had to take my car test) and I'm convinced the quality of instruction at the school is first class. I have no regrets about choosing the school, other than wishing I had lived closer - as on the day of my test, my 125 wouldn't start and I nearly missed it. Overall highly recommended - just don't forget your earphones ;)

Fantastic experience: After my son gaining his A license with Roadcraft thought i would give it a go myself. My lessons were mainly with John, as well as Leanna, Ben and words of wisdom from Russ. Enjoyed my time there, especially when I moved onto the big bike. Happy to have passed my A license with Roadcraft and my missus is now taking lessons too. Many Thanks to Russ and the team. Fantastic experience: Completed my mod2 test today with the team from roadcraft and can honestly say it's been great. I love the fact they change the instructors so you get multiple views and feedback on your riding which helps you improve no matter how much past experience you have. I've been riding for 9000 miles and nearly 4 years on a CBT so had a few bad habits I'd picked up over the years but they soon put me right. It's great to see a responsible trainer that doesn't want to just throw you straight onto a big bike too and wants you to show control and progression before risking yourself and others on a big bike. Their pass rate speaks for its self and even the examiners at the test centre were complementary to them for their quality of training provided compared to others. If you want a quick pass just to get the paper work and take the risk then maybe these aren't the guys (and girl) for you but if you want proper quality honda approved training then you'll struggle to find anyone better. Thanks again folks and see you in the future for my advanced training, it's been fun.

Fantastic experience: Where to start, I'm now 21 started with Roadcraft at 16 for a CBT done A2 and full licence since then with them. They have been great throughout. Fantastic experience: I had a 1 hour training session with Ben and we had a right laugh, they kept me really calm as it was my first ever time sitting on a motorbike. They explained how things worked and how to do things were really clear and easy to follow. I then booked in my CBT and had Ben again so I was super happy and knew the day was going to be amazing which is was. We did everything at our own pace, any questions we had, they were more than happy to answer. Everyone at the shop were super cheerful, and helpful. Again, a great laugh. I'd recommend everyone to train through roadcraft. I cant wait to do my full test with them!

Fantastic experience: I feel a little bad, as I did my cbt a month ago at road craft, Nottingham. They were really approachable, and friendly, full of knowledge and very professional. Very well suited for the more timid of society, with a firm but gentle energy, throughout. Hence this rating.

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT with Roadcraft last year, bought a 125cc bike then went back a few months later to get my full licence. All the instructors are very nice and knowledgeable, and they ironed out the bad habits I’d picked up in the meantime! In addition to the instruction during the lesson, they summarise what you need to work on at the end of the lesson. They advise when you’re ready to move up to the more powerful bikes for the test, then tell you when you’re ready to take it plus even organise it for you! The equipment is good – I passed mod 2 on a new Honda 650 but also practised on a MT07. The whole process has been an absolute pleasure. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant day with all the staff that work here, the staff are super nice but firm as to properly teach you but not in any way that is anxiety or stress inducing, you are made to feel very comfortable and you feel like you’re in safe hands even though you’re the one that is ultimately in control. If you’re not doing so great on anything bike related you’ll be helped on that before continuing on to the ride out segment, I did my CBT here and don’t regret choosing this place, there’s a reason the reviews are so good!
